Hearing my name, I looked up.

Yoshitsune: Is something wrong?

I reflexively flinched as his outstretched fingers were about to touch my cheek.

Yuno: … Nothing at all.

Yoshitsune: I see.

His fingers, with no place to go, slowly moved away.

That sight was dreadfully painful to watch.

(I’m done with the treatment session, it’d be odd for me to stay on.)

Yoshitsune-sama opened the teapot’s lid and started adding the tea leaves.

The awkwardness in his movements made me feel nervous watching him.

Yuno: Um, shall I do it instead?

Yoshitsune: … Please do.

Yoshitsune: To be honest, I’m not used to preparing tea myself.

Yoshitsune: I usually have someone else prepare it for me.

I took over from Yoshitsune-sama and started preparing the tea.

After allowing the tea leaves to steep for a sufficient time, I poured the tea into cups and the aroma tickled my nose.

Our close proximity and the genuine concern in his gaze made my heart race.

Yoshitsune: You should probably apply some ointment on it.

Yuno: It’s alright, it’ll heal in no time!

Yoshitsune: But it’d be a shame if such beautiful hands were scarred.

I couldn't pull my hand away from his gentle grasp.

The heat I felt wasn't from the burn, but rather from Yoshitsune-sama’s gaze.

Yoshitsune: A while back, you explained the meaning behind the word “treatment”.

Yoshitsune-sama’s large hands wrapped around mine.

Yoshitsune: I can’t do it like you do, but…

Yoshitsune: If I do this, will it ease the pain even just a little?

I replied in a small voice, holding back my mixed feelings of joy and embarrassment.

I looked up and our eyes met, and I quickly averted my gaze in embarrassment.

The slight smile on Yoshitsune-sama’s face made my heart ache sweetly.

Yuno: Something good will definitely happen today.

I smiled warmly and gazed at Yoshitsune-sama.

Yuno: May it bring you happiness, Yoshitsune-sama.

Yoshitsune: It already has.

Yuno: Huh?

Yoshitsune: This very moment, being by your side is my happiness.

Yuno: Yoshitsune-sama…
