In a completely unexpected turn of events Kim Dokja is studying techniques and Yoo Joonghyuk is reading TWSA.

Can't say that I saw this one coming way back when I first started ORV but I also can't say that it in any way surprises me that even now they're mirroring each other.

Well, first things first...

Ahhh! Dokja has a new teacher!

And he's teaching him.

Dokja is actually, for the first time ever, properly learning something rather than just stealing it. Dokja is actually, for the first time ever, not completely talentless. Dokja is actually, for the first time ever, understanding what his teacher is telling him and is able to put it into practice himself rather than relying on his skills to do the work for him.

And of course it's a technique that would be related to being a reader and seems to coincide with what he's already been doing this entire novel, i.e. listening to (reading) the stories around him and interpreting them. The mention too of how Dokja has had several beings just naturally like him for some unknown reason...

I get the feeling he's been unknowingly performing "Story Control" for a while now in his own way without even realizing it. At least the very tip of the iceberg of the technique, and now, finally, Dokja is the one who gets to experience enlightenment and get a huge bump in his abilities.

Of course we also get the message "currently, the Fourth Wall is in a very thin state" and even Sangah and Dokja believe this is happening because of that thinness. Plus the fact that Sangah was able to alter the entire scenario by sending out a "revelation." It makes me wonder just how much Dokja could be affecting the world around him if the Fourth Wall wasn't present.

Like, the Fourth Wall protects Kim Dokja from the world, sure, but I'm starting to think it might also protect the world from Kim Dokja.

Oh man, and on the opposite side we have Joonghyuk who's just been given a copy of TWSA? The full TWSA or just the first scenario? It says (First) after the title and I'd like to think that means First Version, just like how Dokja now has multiple versions, but Secretive Plotter said that he couldn't give him the full revelation? But then he also said "this way, it will be a fair fight" and Joonghyuk can't really have a fair fight if he only knows the first scenario while Dokja knows the whole thing. So maybe Han Sooyoung has been creating her versions in her world and Joonghyuk has been given the first complete copy of TWSA but not the final one that she ended with/is potentially still living???

Regardless, why are you encouraging Joonghyuk to fight Dokja, Secretive Plotter?

Ughhhh idk if this is all part of some scheme (because he's totally a schemer, right?) or if he's genuinely upset with Dokja for kind of side-stepping their Outer Covenant and not killing Joonghyuk properly or if he's not even been on Dokja's side this whole time?

That or maybe he wants Joonghyuk gone, in which case, he is very optimistic in thinking Dokja would win in a one-on-one right now.

Then again, Dokja did just learn a new technique...

The naive, hopeful part of me (I know, I know) is thinking that they'll fight but not like fight fight. Because Joonghyuk hasn't seemed quite as angry these past few scenes we've had from his POV? Maybe???

Though I'm not really happy that Secretive Plotter gave him Han Sooyoung's version of TWSA. Like, does he not have access to Dokja's or did he purposefully not use Dokja's because he doesn't want Joonghyuk to see his POV and to relive their life together and potentially start having second thoughts. Especially since Sooyoung's version is probably much darker? Like, yeah, it did turn out in the end that Sooyoung and Joonghyuk of the 1863rd seemed to understand and possibly care for each other, but the story is still full of him basically being used by her. Willingly used, but still.

That's probably not going to put Joonghyuk of the 3rd round in a good mood when he's already thinking that Dokja has been deceiving and using them.

....Unless that's what Secretive Plotter meant by not being able to tell him the full revelation? Does he have access to the end of Dokja's story and he can't give that to Joonghyuk because it would be way outside the probability? If that's the case, then I'm back to thinking that Secretive Plotter is on Dokja's side and perhaps this won't go too poorly? Maybe? 😬

I mean, Dokja has his new technique all about listening to stories, so maybe if he can make Joonghyuk listen to his...

on his birthday card... I think I just didn't get the whole conflict thing. If anyone wants to explain it to me please feel free, perhaps I'm just not understanding this right.

So a couple things:

Firstly, the whole thing about Artem needing help to resign from Themis Law Firm as the cover story didn't make any sense at all lmao. It's not something that a third party like Ellice White can help with since he's literally not in the law firm. And resigning is just something the partner/associate can decide to do on their own. Unless, the issue is whether Artem will be allowed to take his clients with him (since the firm will technically be losing its clients to him if he does that) - but that's not what was mentioned in the story so I really don't know what they were trying to do here. I just don't think this game understands how law firms work? Or maybe something was lost in translation. Idk. But yeah they could have come up with a better cover story than this (eg. needing Ellice White's help to influence the outcome of a case).

Secondly, Artem seems to be concerned about things that aren't actually related: (1) The fact that people around him (including the people he looked up to) could change for the worse and (2) what MC thinks of him (because he was able to play the role of the villain so well i guess).

I mean (1) is fair, although it seems like a very juvenile thing to be upset about at his age. With the things you see as you grow older I think you just kind of accept that people can / will change as a matter of fact, and that many people aren't actually good people (idk as a lawyer I've seen shit and I imagine Artem would/should have as well). So yes maybe someone you looked up to might change down the road but it's also not something he should have to consider because it's all hypothetical. I get being shocked by the fact that eg. Ellice White changed so much, but I can't really see why it would cause such a seismic shift in his mood.

As for (2)... really didn't understand this part because by now Artem and MC have been dating and you'd think he'd know what she thinks of him and his character already?? WHY IS THIS SOMETHING HE'S QUESTIONING AT THIS STAGE. THEY'VE WORKED WITH EACH OTHER FOR SO LONG, IF THE RIGHTEOUS JUSTICE-FOR-ALL SAINT MC THOUGHT HE WAS A BAD GUY SHE WOULDN'T HAVE CHOSEN TO DATE HIM AT ALL. AAAAAAAHHHHHHH. It's like I'm reading a shoujo manga and with the female lead constantly second-guessing the male lead's feelings for her at every single plot point. Did not like this!! And then he was also scared that maybe he might change? That, well, I mean, going rogue is a conscious decision you make and it's hypothetical and just... don't be corrupt..? You'll be fine Artem. Trust me.

And for my last point it's actually more of a question because MC gets shocked when she sees the video interview of Artem when he just won that old case as a young attorney because it's different from what he told her but ??? I didn't get it. At all. I don't even understand how different it was from what he told her. Maybe someone with a full brain can explain this to the half-brained me haha.

So yep. These are my thoughts on Artem's birthday card. If anyone is better able to break this down in a way that makes this story make sense please do share!! But yeah overall I remember being SUPER disappointed with this card story and just annoyed because one of the reasons I like Artem is because he's supposed to be more mature, notwithstanding his hilarious lack of experience in his love life. But the things that he gets worried about in this card story just seem so juvenile and not very well thought out. Feels like the writers just decided to give him an internal conflict for shits and giggles instead of the usual "here's a secret talent you never knew Artem had, now go off on a new, different activity today for this card story" approach. T_T

It was currently the weekend, which means that the students from U.A. High finally had a bit of free time before going back to their usual routine. Most of them used this opportunity to partake in whatever hobbies/activities they enjoyed, or to simply catch up with friends and family. Well...everyone but one of them.

It was around 12 pm, Izuku noticed that Shoto never went downstairs to get breakfast. Actually... he hasn't seen him leave him room at all. Was he feeling ill? Maybe he should go check on him, just in case. He probably hasn't eaten anything yet, so Izuku prepared him some cold soba and went up to his room. The greennette gently knocked on his bedroom door "Hey Todoroki, it's me. I brought you some food, can I come in?". But there was no response. Izuku tried fiddeling with the doorknob and to his surprise it was unlocked. "I'm letting myself in. Hope you don't mind" announced the freckled guy as he made his way inside Shoto's room. "Hey Shoto, what are you- Shoto! Are you okay?!" Izuku panicked a bit when he saw his friend curled up into a ball on his bed, while wearing a sad expression on his face.

Izuku put the bowl of food on a nearby desk and quickly made his way to sit next to Todoroki. He tried to comfort the bicolored haired male by soothingly rubbing his back. Shoto let out a sigh of relief at the comforting touch, he really needed it in that moment. Once he felt a bit more relaxed, Todoroki turned over to face the greennette. Izuku looked down at him with a soft smile "How are you feeling?".

"Better... thanks for coming..".

"No problem. So uhh... do you wanna talk about what happened? It's okay if you don't want to!" Izuku was such a nervous wreck when it came to comforting people, he didn't want to accidentally make them feel worse. Even so, Shoto felt a deep connection with him, so he didn't mind being more open with him.

"I don't know... I just can't seem to get out of bed today" responded Todoroki with a slightly dejected look in his eyes.

"I see... is there anything I could do to help?".

Shoto perked up his head at Izuku's question, he did know of something that could cheer him up but it was a bit embarrassing. A soft blush started to form across his cheeks, it was very uncharacteristic of him to get flustered so easily. Izuku noticed how shy the other was being "Did you have something in mind?".

"Yeah but it's a bit silly..." said Todoroki as he tried to avert his gaze.

Izuku's mind started racing with all the possibilities of what Todoroki could be thinking about. He was lost in thought for a bit, rambling away as he usually does. It was normal for him to be like that so Shoto didn't even question him. And then it hit him. A mischevious smirk overtook Izuku's lips as Shoto's blush grew deeper, looks like he figured it out. "If you wanted to be tickled you could've just said so~" said the greennette in a teasy tone as he lightly poked at the taller one's stomach.

Todoroki let out a startled gasp, wrapping his arms around his tummy as he curled up once more. Izuku giggled in endearment as he started to softly scribble up his back. "C'mon Shoto, laugh it all out!".

Poor Shoto shook with laughter as he tried to compress his giggles, an occassional squeak making it's way out his lips. Izuku then wiggled his fingers along the back of Shoto's neck and that's when the dam broke. "Pfft! M-Midoriya nohoho!" he tried scrunching up his shoulders to protect his sensitive neck but then Izuku moved down to his sides, lightly poking and pinching at them. "Ack-! Nahat thahahat!" he giggled out cutely as he tried to gently swat away Izuku's hands. The greennette took the opportunity to pin Shoto's wrists above his head.

The bicolored haired male blushed harder, his scar getting lost in the red hue of his face. He struggled a bit in the shorter one's grasp only to slump down in defeat. A wobbly smile overtaking his lips as he watched Izuku's free hand get closer to his tummy.

"Are you ready~?" asked the tickler with a teasy smirk on his face. Silly Shoto couldn't help but let out nervous giggles as he softly nodded his head. "Good!" and just like that, Izuku started to gently vibrate his clawed hand against Shoto's tummy.

"GYAH! IZUKU NAHAHAHAHA!" Todoroki threw his head back in laughter as he softly kicked his legs out, his tummy was one of his worst spots after all.

The broccoli head giggled as he lightly scratched at the ticklish tummy "Ahh tiiickle tickle tickle~".

"PFFT! AHAHAHAHA! D-DOHON'T SAY THAHAT!" Todoroki squeezed his eyes shut as his nose scrunched up slightly, with a big dorky grin plastered on his face.

"Don't say what? Tickle tickle~?" Izuku giggled when Shoto let out a flustered squeal at the tease.

"HAHAHAHA! ST-STAHAHAP PLEHEASE!".

Izuku quickly stopped his tickly torment, letting go of his wrists. He opted to lightly rub Todoroki's tummy while he tried to calm down his giggles. It was pretty cute how he struggled to talk while giggling all cutely. "Ehehehe..! T-thahanks for thahat..!".

"No problem! Next time you're feeling upset you can come talk to me" Midoriya offered him a bright smile, Todoroki couldn't help but softly smile back at him. He was glad he had a friend like him.

Ah, right, my dream. So here it goes:

I was definitely a student from Shiratorizawa in my dream. Because if I was not, then meeting Wakatoshi at the gate would not make sense?

HEIDJSOSJS LET ME TELL YOU, WAKATOSHI IN FLESH IS SO: H O T. LIKE, YES, HE DOES LOOK SCARY WITH HIS PHYSIQUE BUT I COULDN'T CARE LESS! I WAS LITERALLY A CHILD BESIDE HIM WITH MY 5 FLAT ASS-

Anyhow, Ushijima, despite of my height, saw me. And WOW he striked a conversation with me.

"Hello, you're from my class," he greeted me.

And NoPE i WaSn'T bLuShINg wheN I rEsPOndED, "Yep. Hello, Wakatoshi."

Ushijima nodded at me (CAN U BELIEVE THAT?) and asked me, "Going home?"

I was like, "Ah, yeah."

But what surprised me was: "Can I walk with you?"

LIKE OH MY GOODNESS WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE SUCH A DREAM? OF COURSE WE WALKED TOGETHER.

AAAAAND BELIEVE IT OR NOT, HE ACTUALLY STARTED COURTING ME (As a Filipino, I guess my subconscious self still wants to be courted but I don't really think that's important) AND IDK THE TIME WAS FLEETING BUT WE DEFINITELY BECAME CLOSER.

Closer to the point I call him Toshi! (Ughhhh)

Fast forward, we were walking after class when I received a phone call from my mother telling me she wants me to go to the mall so we could buy a present for my father. Apparently, that day is his birthday in my dream and she wanted to surprise him and we only have a couple of hours to shop stuff.

So, I stopped walking and faced Toshi, "Toshi, we can't go home together today. I need to go to the mall."

Then the oh-so-gorgeous, big baby, cutiepie Toshi replied, "Why?"

"My mother wants me to meet her there. We're shopping presents for my father, it's his bday"

Then he stared at me and like, "Can I come with you?"

I was like: "Toshi, my p a r e n t s will be there." 👁️👄👁️

And what did he say?

"I will have to meet them eventually."

So fast forward again (I guess my brain wanted to skip the boring parts and just jump in to the good ones what a mood) and I arrived at the mall (take note w Ushijima behind me) and my mother immediately saw him and she was like: I pretend I do not see him

I was HIGH KEY NERVOUS bc BOY, I kept Toshi a secret bc I'm not allowed to be in a relationship until I graduate so...

N e how, my mom is definitely clueless on what to buy for my father as a present.

But Toshi went like: "Ma'am, I suggest if you buy him a belt, I recommend this brand."

Mom: 👁️👄👁️

Me: 👀

Toshi: c:

Toshi: It's the brand of my belt and I tell you, it's good.

That was definitely out of the character but that made my mom like him, though.

Toshi was the one who went in to the line to "relieve my mother from the hassle" and honestly? At this point I knew I was dreaming and was just bathing with the feeling of someone willing to do things for my family 🥺

Soon, we went to this fastfood chain where my father was waiting and he immediately saw Toshi literally tailing me and boy, he was not impressed.

Father: Who is that?

Me in small font: Pa, this is Toshi. He's courting me.

Toshi: Hello, Sir.

I WAS SO SCARED BC MY FATHER LOOKED SO SERIOUS BUT BOY DO I COMMEND TOSHI FOR BEING SO BRAVE!

Father: You will not hurt Leia? (Dats me btw)

Toshi: I won't.

Father: How tall are you?

Toshi: 6 foot.

Father: 👁️_👁️

Father: I like you.
