The new reddit stories has me annoyed a bit, honestly. From all the people in the comments not getting that yeah, there are candles behind them not meant to be lit because they are on a SET where any open flame is a risk to the sprinkler system and that going off WILL destroy probably close to a million dollars in equipment (any open flame has only ever been in the kitchen or on a cake/food item) to all three of them not getting that the issue is that this kid thinks it's fine to eat a half jar of candy before dinner without asking and that you have a right to leave your own snacks visible in your own damn home. I'm not hiding my shit. Teach your kid manners. Also yeah, it is a treat. For me. In my house. You ask because you don't fucking live here!
I don't care if there is a mountain of candy on the coffee table. You ask before you have someone's food. I am not hiding MY stuff because YOU haven't taught your child manners. Your grubby kid hands also rifled through the entire fucking jar. Seven year Olds aren't exactly beacons of clean hands. Asking someone to replace what their kid ate without permission is completely acceptable.
Cause I guarantee you if I walked into any of their houses and found a snack out in the open and dug through it and ate half, they'd be incredibly annoyed and have every right to ask me to replace it.

Working the graveyard shift at a 24-hour convenience store is generally not a good idea. Except this one is in a nice area of LA, you’re almost always working with someone, and it’s slow enough that you can get your grad school work done.
Four months ago, when you were first looking at the help wanted sign in the window, you decided you would give it a week to see if it was actually worth it. Now, you were contently typing away on your computer as a group of middle-aged people grabbed alcohol and snacks. They were fancily dressed but the expressions on their faces were reminiscent of college students who were partying through the night like they owned it. When they came up with a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon and enough snacks to last them weeks, you happily scanned the items.
The silver fox dressed in a deep, blue suit dropped a twenty in the tip jar.
“Thank you,” You said, handing him a receipt as his cohorts grabbed the food.
The bell jingled as they left. Your coworker was in the back taking inventory. You looked down at your laptop, rereading the last couple of sentences as you found your place in the research essay you’d been taking notes from.
You loved your job. You worked from 11 pm to 8 am and although it took you time to adjust to a new sleep schedule, it was worth it. You were paid slightly more since you were working such an atrocious shift and you never interacted with your boss. Occasionally, he would message you that he was coming in early to talk, but he often just texted about what he wanted you to get done.
Until 1 am, you were working with Michael, a young man who was in his senior year of college. At 4 am, Marie would come in, an older Latina woman who had been working this shift for over ten years now. She’d relieve you for your break and you’d come back just in time for the morning rush.
You liked the morning rush. Although you couldn’t get much homework done at the time, it was when you had your most regulars. You would see moms buying their children lunch before school, office workers buying cheap coffee, and students buying energy drinks.
Marie would man the register, and you would come to help if needed. During rests, you would be restocking shelves or cleaning.
From 1 am to 4 am, you would usually see only a few faces. You would see students who stay up extremely late or workers having to go in much too early. Since it was a nice neighborhood, they were all pleasant people and you never worried about your own safety or well-being.
Only one regular came in consistently during these hours. He looked to be about your age with chocolate hair that curled at the nape of his neck. He came in just after 1 am and always sported dark eye circles. He purchased anywhere from 4 to 8 cans of Mountain Dew Kickstart and occasionally a bag of chips.
Sometimes, you’d see him in the morning again before you were off. He’d buy a cheap coffee and some fruit.
For the first month, you were too concerned with doing your job well to start any conversations besides pleasantries. He was, however, the first customer you recognized as a regular. You couldn’t help but wonder why anyone would need so many energy drinks. In particular, why in God's name did he love Mountain Dew Kickstart?
Maybe you were so intrigued because he caught your eye from day one. He was dressed in combat boots and a worn jacket. You soon learned those two items were part of his daily attire. You liked the way his hair looked or the way his downturned eyes crinkled as he smiled.
In your second month of working there, you spent way too much time trying to think of a way to start a conversation.
So far, you only got:
“Hi.”
“Hi.”
“How’s your night going?”
“Good, and you?”
“Fine. Do you want a bag?”
“No, I have my backpack.”
“Okay. Your total is $12.53, go ahead and swipe, insert, or tap your card. Would you like your receipt?”
Sometimes he said yes, sometimes he said no. A few times, your hands would brush. He was always so warm, your cold hands lingering as he bashfully smiled and looked away.
“Have a good one.”
“You too.”
His hair was getting longer and you thought it suited him well. You wanted nothing more than a reason to hold a genuine conversation with him.
During your third month, that reason finally came.
He walked in, luscious locks replaced with a buzz cut and you couldn’t help but go “Oh wow.”
“Is it that bad?” He joked, rubbing the top of his head.
“No, no,” You immediately said, hands moving rapidly. “It just surprised me.” A beat of silence followed before you added, “You pull it off.” He really did, but you also took that as a sign you liked him a little too much. You felt like a schoolgirl with a crush.
“Thanks, it was for work,” He adds, voice monotone despite the little grin he sported at your compliment. He walks farther into the store, toward the opposite wall with the display of drinks.
“For work? Are you joining the army?” You question, stumbling over your words slightly as you realize that it’s finally happening—you are finally holding a conversation with him.
“No,” He laughs. “I work for this online entertainment company.” He fills his arms with five cans. “It was for a special.”
“Oh,” You reply, rolling on the balls of your feet as you try to think of ways to keep the conversation going. “Are you an actor?”
“More behind the scenes,” He replies, coming up to the counter and placing his drinks down. He grabs a bag of chips from the front display.
“That’s cool,” You say, picking up the first can as you begin scanning.
He shrugs, “I’m sure half the city does stuff online.”
“I doubt that,” You scoff. “Maybe half does entertainment, but definitely not exclusively online content.” Feeling a little bad for shutting him down, you look up at him for a moment, expecting to see disappointment or annoyance.
Instead, he’s smiling. It’s not a large smile, but it quells your anxiety.
“You’re probably right,” He answers, fishing out his card.
“I usually am,” You joke, giving him a quick look before clicking away on your screen. “Your total is $10.54.”
He lets out a short laugh that makes your insides flip with satisfaction. “I’m Spencer by the way,” He offers, putting away his card after the reader beeps.
“Y/N,” You say, tapping your name tag. “Do you want your receipt, Spencer?”
“Sure, Y/N,” He answers, putting his drinks into his backpack.
You rip it from the printer and hold it out. The way he said your name makes you shiver. He takes the receipt and bids you farewell.
You see him in the morning and you’re eighty percent sure he times it to check out with you instead of Marie. Today he opted for an iced coffee with lots of cream and a plastic container of chopped mango.
“Good morning, Spencer. How’d you sleep?”
“Good, but not long enough. What about you?”
You see a flash of realization on his face as soon as he says it, but you’re speaking before he can correct himself.
“Haven’t slept yet, but I get off in ten minutes and will be able to sleep till five today so that’s nice.”
“What’s at five?”
“Class. They’re in the evening since so many grad students work day jobs.” You tap away on the screen. “Would you like your receipt?”
“Nah, just toss it.” He picks up the drink and fruit. “See ya later, Y/N.”
“See you,” You reply, crumpling the receipt and throwing it in the small trash bin under your register before waving to the next customer.
~~
Since then, Spencer has come in every night without fail and sparked a conversation with you. You learn that the company he works for is called Smosh and you think the name is vaguely familiar. He asks you what you’re studying and why you’re always on your laptop.
The next month and a half goes by quickly. You come to expect him, anticipating his nightly visits. He has recently started staying longer, leaning over the counter and smiling at you as he talks about something that happened the other day. If another person comes in, he usually takes that as his sign to leave, wishing you well and exiting before the new customer is ready to check out.
You’re unfortunately not getting as much homework done because of this, but you don’t mind one bit. You either work during your break or just take some time before class to do more. You wonder if he’s not getting as much sleep because of this, worried you’re burdening him. Despite this, you know that you’ll selfishly never be able to turn him away. Even if it is for his own benefit.
Once, he came in before Michael had left. Your conversation was curt and he left right after you gave him the receipt. Michael stared you down the whole time and Spencer was clearly thrown off by another person being there.
“Who was that?” Your coworker asked, moving toward you from his spot behind the hot food.
“Just a regular,” You answer, trying to keep your cool. You pull out a cloth and begin wiping down the counter, wanting to occupy your hands. “He usually comes later.”
“Ah,” Michael says, nodding slowly and giving you a look. “That’s it?”
“Yeah?”
“Interesting.”
The comment piques your interest and you can’t help but ask, “How so?”
Michael smirks at you, “Why do you care?”
“Bro, shut up,” You hiss, pushing him out of your face and walking over to your stash of food. Your face felt hot as you walked past, and you attempted to hide it in the collar of your shirt. It was never fun to be caught with a crush, but you wanted to know Michael’s thoughts. So far, you and Spencer always talked in privacy, with no onlookers to comment on if your feelings seemed mutual.
“Fine, fine,” He relents, holding his hands up. “It’s just that I saw him through the window before he came in and he was smiling way too big for someone coming in the pick up energy drinks.”
“You’d be surprised. He gets those every night,” You defensively argue, “He probably has a shrine at home.”
“Oh, come on,” Michael says, rolling his eyes as you pop a chip into your mouth. “That smile dropped as soon as he saw me. I bet he wishes it was just you.”
“Don’t say that stuff.”
“Why not? Don’t you like him? You definitely lit up when you saw him.”
You gawk at your coworker, absolutely astonished at how easy it was for him to notice. This was the first time anyone witnessed the two of you interact and now you were questioning every interaction. Did he like you? Or did he just like that you gave him a confidence boost because your infatuation was so obvious?
“W-what’s your major again? Investigation?” You accuse, stuttering out of pure frustration.
“Yes, actually—”
You roll your eyes, but the sound of the door brings your back to attention. You steel your expression but are grateful the conversation ended. It was a wake-up call for you and you spent the rest of your shift trying to understand your feelings more.
Could it still be called a crush? You felt like you knew so much and yet so little about him. When did you cross the line from strangers to acquaintances? How do you go from acquaintances to friends? Did you even want to be friends?
After that, Spencer always came in after Michael left, his disposition more friendly when it was just the two of you. You didn’t know if that was a good sign or a bad sign, but it was hard to think about when only a counter separated the two of you and he was radiating warmth and cracking jokes.
~~
“Okay,” You hear Michael say and all of a sudden you are back to reality, no farther in your reading than you were 10 minutes ago.
The door to the back shuts and you look at your coworker with wide eyes.
“I finally finished with inventory.”
He looks down at his phone, prompting you to look at the time showing on your laptop.
12:56
“Sweet,” He says, tucking his phone into his back pocket. “Need anything from me before I go?”
“No,” You answer. “Enjoy your night.”
“Thanks, I’m gonna go grab my stuff before I clock out.”
“For sure. See you tomorrow.”
“Later,” Michael says.
He opens the door to the back and you turn to your computer. The break room was through those doors as was the back entrance which almost all employees used when coming and going.
You focused on your computer, reading the most important parts of the study and taking down notes. In the back of your mind, you knew Spencer would be arriving soon. It makes you nervous, butterflies erupting in your stomach as you await his arrival.
You have been thinking lately about how to advance your relationship. Maybe get more personal with the information or invite him to hang out outside of your job. The idea makes you queasy because you worry about ruining everything by trying to get more.
You finished the reading and moved on to another class assignment. Spencer came in soon after, his lips quirked up and no jacket on. The weather was getting warmer and it was rather dry. You could absolutely walk around with only a T-shirt and jeans on despite the time.
This, however, drew your eyes to his arms immediately. They weren’t as hairy as you were expecting, his beard and how quickly his hair grew back making you think they would be. He wasn’t very muscley in any way, but your eyes shamelessly lingered on his biceps longer than you wanted.
His skin was littered with freckles and tattoos, black ink that started at his forearm and rose past his t-shirt. You could spend hours looking at them, a couple of them immediately garnering your interest.
“Hey,” You greeted, your eyes snapping up to his face. You were pretty sure he caught you, but he thankfully said nothing. Maybe he was used to his tattoos being looked at, an easy cover considering you weren’t just looking at his tattoos.
“Hey, how’s your night?” He makes his way across the store with ease, eyes staying on you.
“Fine, it’s extra slow tonight.”
“That’s nice,” He’s speaking loud enough that you can hear him from far away. “Are you getting a lot of homework done?”
“Yeah,” You replied. “Finals are coming up and I’m working on all the trivial homework now so I can study and work on the final essays in the library.”
“Is this your final year?”
“Sort of. I’ll be getting my masters after this, but I’m on an automated track for my PhD.”
There’s silence as he grabs a final can and walks up to the front. It’s almost awkward, but you aren’t sure why. It seems like he wants to ask you something, but is struggling to say it.
You start scanning his items, letting him think instead of trying to fill the space with meaningless talk.
“Are you still working here over the summer?”
“I am,” You light up, realizing why he was nervous. It sent a spark through your body to think about him missing you.
God, you wanted him so bad.
“I’m also doing some research work for a professor though,” You add. “I’m honestly too busy to have a job and it will only get worse in the upcoming year, but I need the money and this is the best option for pay and the ability to do homework.”
“Damn,” Spencer sighs. “I’m sorry about that.”
His voice is soft and sincere. It throws you off for a moment, not used to this kind of sympathy. Your social circle consists of Michael, Marie, and other students who were also going through their own shit.
“Oh, it's nothing,” You shyly reply, eyes falling to the counter and lips forming a tight line as your mind races.
“No, seriously,” Spencer insists. “It must be so difficult and yet you never seem like you’re struggling.”
With a large breath, you finally accept his compliment. “Thank you, that’s very nice of you.” You look up to see that his gaze is already on you and you hold eye contact for an absurd amount of time. You’re sure any onlookers would consider the scene intense.
The pressure of the moment builds, compressing your lungs.
“Um, anyways, your total is $9.54,” You say, breaking the silence and eye contact.
“Oh, right.”
Spencer shoves his hand into his pocket to grab his wallet and you once again admire his arms as he’s busy.
“How was work today?” You ask, wanting to dissipate the intensity of the moment.
“Long.” He answers. “This week is a filming week so I’ve been busy as hell working behind the camera and being in a few videos too. Tomorrow is Friday though and I don’t have to be in till 11 am.”
You hum in acknowledgment, “That sucks.”
Long ago, when curiosity finally got to you, you looked up Smosh. You realized quickly that the name was familiar because it was quite popular back in OG YouTube. You spent an hour exploring their channels before growing bored and looking up videos with Spencer specifically. It was weird and you could only watch in short increments of time before needing a break. You felt like you were violating his privacy, but struggled to stop when you realized just how funny he was, his humor translating perfectly on camera. He held your attention in so many videos, quick quips making you burst out laughing.
You also note the differences in how he talks to you and how he talks to the camera. Although quiet, he cracks jokes almost every time he speaks. His coworkers seem like friends and you’re sure that helps to comfort any nerves he would have on screen. However, they were obviously trained on-camera talent whereas he simply fell into it because of how much the audience liked him. Around you, he made jokes, but he also seemed to shed the demeanor he developed for videos. Not every sentence was about entertaining.
They were real. Real discussions with real problems no matter how mundane.
“Yeah, but at least we are getting it done. Next week is all at my computer or in meetings,” He adds, tucking away his card and putting his drinks into his backpack. “Anyways, so, when is your finals week?”
“In two weeks technically, but I have a couple of major things going on next week,” You answer, taking a seat on the stool next to you.
“Like what?” Spencer inquires, a light in his eyes that sends a shiver up your spine.
“Well, I’m taking four classes. Two of them have an exam and a final essay. One has a final essay and matching presentation, and then last is a group assignment that also has a presentation and essay.”
“Oh no, not a group assignment,” Spencer interjects, empathy on the tip of his tongue.
“I know,” You agree, nerves falling away as you ease into familiar territory. “People in masters programs are not as bad but they can still be pretty clueless and unhelpful.” You shake your head in frustration, “Like this one guy in my group, he thinks he is so edgy and smart. He takes no criticism but also doesn’t put in enough work. He’s basically made me his personal target and I literally have a group chat with two other members just to rant when he says the stupidest shit.”
“Damn, sounds like an ass.”
“He is,” You groan, closing your eyes. “But we are almost done. We have the essay due next week and then presentations during the finals period.” You grin in relief, “After that, I have two weeks of break before starting my internship with the professor.”
“Are you getting paid for that?” Spencer asks.
The conversation was flowing easily, his interest in your life more evident than ever. It isn’t lost on you that he’s exhibiting every sign of attentive listening and it makes your insides twist. He’s leaning forward, fingers tapping away on the counter as he nods periodically.
“Only in experience,” You sigh. “Money would be great, but I’d rather learn from this and not get paid than not do it at all. I only have to dedicate 12 hours a week to it anyway and that’s not much considering my usual schedule is jam-packed.”
“What’s the study about?” He asks, holding your gaze more often than usual. You find it hard to reciprocate, too nervous to engage in whatever he is doing. You aren’t sure if you could call it flirting because he definitely wasn’t complimenting you, but he was acting differently enough that it was noticeable.
Before you can answer, a customer walks in, the bell ringing in your ears as you look at the brunette in front of you. You expect him to leave like every time before, but he doesn’t move. Although thrown off slightly, you recover quickly and answer his question. When the customer is ready to check out, Spencer simply steps to the side but lingers near. As soon as the man leaves, Spencer is right back where he was and asking you another question that keeps you talking.
He leaves twenty minutes later, eyes half-lidded and tired. You don’t see him that morning, likely because he doesn’t have to go into the office as early as usual. Despite logic, you still miss him.
~~
When Spencer comes in that night, he’s later than usual. Not by much, it’s not even 2 am when he walks through the door. And yet, he’s apologetic.
“Hey, sorry,” He mumbles, coming right up to the counter.
Taken aback, your hands slip from your keyboard and you stand up straight. Fridays were always the busiest weekday and although you did wonder where Spencer was, you didn’t have much time to think about it.
“I was playing a game and totally lost track of time,” He continued, a touch more out of breath than usual. He runs a hand through his short, recently bleached hair.
“No worries,” You say, not quite sure why he’s apologizing. It’s not like you had a set time to hang out or do something together. “Need to come get a drink so you can keep going?” You ask, trying to dissipate the awkward feeling that was bubbling up. You didn’t want to let yourself assume more than was reality.
“No, no, I mean,” He stumbles, “I probably will go back to playing, I just—never mind.” He looks down, staring at the counter, specifically the display of scratchers in the built-in glass case.
God, this felt so weird. You shouldn’t have said that, maybe he actually wanted to see you but then you ruined it by making it about the drinks and not you.
“So, what game were you playing?” You ask, the air feeling stuffy.
After a relieved sigh, Spencer goes into the details. You listen intently because not only is he a good storyteller, but you also genuinely care about his interests.
As he rants about some game mechanic, your mind begins to wander. More precisely, you wonder if your affection for him is obvious. Even from the short interaction you had in front of Michael, he could tell there was something more going on. To a stranger would it be obvious? To your friends would it be obvious? Would they say you two would make a cute couple? Or would they not see the chemistry?
“Oh, that’s frustrating,” You say, picking up on the pause in his monologue.
“Eh,” He shrugs, “It’s life.” He leans over the counter, shoulders more relaxed than when he first entered. “I needed a break anyway. So, how’s your night been?”
“Well,” You begin. “I felt rather lost without you.” Sarcasm is dripping off your tongue and Spencer immediately smiles. “My internal clock is all screwed up.”
“You poor thing,” He says, playing along.
“You, sir, need to take your responsibility more seriously,” You laugh, sitting back down in your chair and leaning over to grab your water. “More than half an hour late, I’m sure your body is screaming for a Mountain Dew.”
“Not just a Mountain Dew,” He protests, “A Mountain Dew Kickstart.”
You giggle, just about to add something before the bell rings and your eyes immediately shift to the front door. The patron, dressed in black jeans, a blue hoodie, and a leather jacket, comes up to you immediately. In the fifteen-foot walk between you and the door, you notice he is at least twenty years older than you, skin wrinkling and sagging with age. His clothes are worn, fraying at the seams. When he pushes forward, Spencer immediately slinks away, stepping over to look at the opposite wall of food. The stranger places his hands on the counter and you see dirt under his nails.
When he speaks, his voice is hoarse.
“Two packs of the Marlboro Red,” He commands, his eyes dragging up and down your body. Just as you turn to grab the cigarettes, you can see a smirk forming on his lips.
You sigh, taking a moment to harden your exterior before turning around to scan the packs. These kinds of customers were uncommon for the area, but still came in enough for you to pick them out of a crowd immediately. Usually, they leave easily enough.
“Anything else?” You ask, giving him a tight-lipped smile.
“Two of those beef taquitos, hun,” He says, a dirty finger pressing against the warm glass.
You feel a wave of cold at the name but move aside to grab the hot food without any fuss. The sooner he leaves the better. When you hand them over to him, he purposefully moves his hand far enough forward that it touches yours. You are vaguely aware of Spencer in the background, but force your eyes off him.
You can deal with this on your own just fine.
The stranger's eyes linger on your hand and you snatch it away, typing on the tablet to add the taquitos to his total.
“Anything else?” You echo, voice more curt than before.
“Hmm,” He hums contemplatively, putting his finger to his chin like he’s performing. “I suppose I’ll take your number too.”
You fake a laugh, looking into his eyes for only a moment before going back to your screen. “Although I’m flattered, I don’t give my number to strangers.” A few more taps to the device, “Your total is $22.37.”
“Well,” He leans forward and reads off your name from the tag. It sounds sickly coming from his lips. “My name is Mark. Give me your number and then we won’t be strangers.” He pulls out his card to pay, shoving the cigarettes into his pockets.
You give him a forced smile, resting your hand on your heart while you try to let him down gently. “Nice to meet you, Mark, but still. I am not interested.”
“Why?” He questions, “You got a boyfriend?”
You debate telling him you’re in a relationship. Maybe it will get him to leave, maybe he’ll just suggest you cheat. It’s always difficult to tell.
“Dude,” You hear a voice speak up. “You’re holding up the line.”
Mark turns around to see Spencer a few feet behind. You have to crane your neck to see him, the brunette lining up down an aisle. He’s holding some random items, clearly having wandered around the store, paying attention but trying to look like he was merely shopping.
Just before Mark can say anything, Spencer is pushing forward and shouldering past. “Just take the L and move on,” He deadpans, his voice low and foreboding. He stares down the stranger, putting his items onto the counter without even looking away. He’s half a head shorter than the guy, but his presence alone makes up for that tenfold.
“Here’s your receipt,” You quietly interject, holding it out. Half of you was thankful for the interruption, but the other half of you was annoyed. Despite that, you choose to use this opportunity to end the conversation.
With a huff, Mark snatches the receipt from your hand.
“Whatever,” He mumbles to himself, “Bitch.”
The bell dings as he exits, leaving you and Spencer in a loud silence. You let out a shaky breath.
“Oh my god,” Spencer begins. His words draw your gaze away from the door and to him. You can see the concern on his face and the disgust in his eyes. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” You have a moment to say before he’s talking again.
“What an ass. Do you not have a panic button?”
“I do,” You answer, “But that’s for robberies.”
“Or this!” He protests, gesturing at the door where the man had exited. “You need to stay safe.”
“I was staying safe,” You defend.
“I can’t believe they have you alone at this time of night,” Spencer continues, seemingly not registering your words. “Like, anyone can just come in here!”
“Spencer,” You say, trying to grab his attention.
“You should never have to deal with that kind of–”
“Spencer,” You repeat, finally getting him to shut up.
“What?”
“It’s fine, I can deal with this on my own. You didn’t need to help,” You explain, wishing the moment would simply pass so you could move on.
“Just because you can deal with it on your own doesn’t mean you have to,” He argues, his voice softer than before.
His words leave you at a loss, unsure how to respond. He breaks the silence before you can.
“How often does this happen?”
“Not often,” You say, struggling to make any eye contact. “This is a nice area and usually they just give up after a couple of tries.”
Spencer sighs, running a hand through his hair with an exasperated expression. “Sorry,” He mumbles, the word being pulled from him. “I shouldn’t have freaked out like that.” You can see the regret in his eyes. “I got so heated and I should have just made sure you were okay.”
“Oh,” You say, “Thanks.” His apology was unexpected but very appreciated. “I am fine.”
Spencer nods, the moment feeling slightly awkward as the resolution comes. “When does the next person get here?” He asks.
“Four,” You answer, taking a chance to grab your phone and check the time.
2:21
“Damn, that’s a long time.”
“It’s whatever,” You shrug. “It goes pretty quickly since I’m basically just talking to you and then doing homework.”
When the words register for him, there’s a glint in his eyes and a small smile forming on his face. “That’s good,” He replies. There’s a pause before he speaks again, “But damn, that’s like an hour and a half away.”
“Yeah,” You sigh, resting back on your stool.
“Can I stay?” He asks, surprising you. “For peace of mine, I mean. I’m just thinking about me leaving and that guy coming right back in. I don’t know, it’s dumb, but I just can’t imagine leaving you right now.”
“Sure,” You reply, interrupting his word vomit once you’ve regained your barrings.
“Really?”
“Yeah,” You shrug, a closed-lip grin forming. “I would love for you to keep me company.”
“Cool,” He says, a smile forming for him.
The moment is awkward and foreign. From an outside perspective, you probably both look like grinning idiots.
“Well,” Spencer begins, breaking the silence, “I’m definitely going to need an energy drink to stay awake.” He looks down at the pile of snacks he brought up. “You keep working, I’m gonna put these away and come back up with stuff I actually want to buy.”
“Roger that,” You reply, giving him a look before turning back to your computer. You don’t get much work done as you wait for him to come back up. You can’t see him in the aisles, but as he moves between aisles, he always looks at you. The security camera screen is just to your right and you can’t help but watch him as he puts away the random collection of items.
You’re nervous, too distracted by his presence to focus on anything. You were somewhat excited to spend such a prolonged period of time with him. However, you were also absolutely terrified that you would make a fool of yourself or simply seem too boring.
“Okay,” You hear him say, already aware that he was making his way back to the front. “All done.” He is now holding three cans of Mountain Dew Kickstart and a chocolatey protein bar. “Can I also get a couple of taquitos?”
“What kind?” You ask, reaching forward to start scanning his items.
“Your pick, I guess."
You smile at him and see he’s already grinning at you. You can’t help it, everything he does seems to make you happy beyond logic. “I’ll give you one chicken and one fiesta. The beef is fine and the cheese is not good.”
“Sounds like a plan,” He laughs, pulling out his card to pay and then opening a can and taking a big swig.
“Did that guy getting some make you crave them?” You ask, a joking glint in your eyes as you look up at him.
“Am I a misogynist if I say yes?” He replies, making you let out a laugh that was just a little too loud.
When you hand him the taquitos, he leans back onto the counter, head turned so you can see his side profile. He has the drink in one hand and the paper bag of taquitos in another. He takes a bite, a comfortable silence falling over you both. You occupy your time by looking down at your computer and mindlessly clicking around while you try to think of things to talk about.
“How was work?” You say, deciding on that as the least risky option.
“Good,” He shrugs. “We finished a little late and traffic meant I didn’t get home till almost 7 pm.”
“Oh jeez,” You groan. “My commute is pretty easy in the morning because I go opposite the traffic.”
“I’m jealous,” He replies, smiling at you. “Do you live far from here?”
A shock of electricity shoots through your body. “Somewhat. This isn’t my local convenience store, but I’m not that far.”
Spencer nods, “This isn’t mine either.”
“What?”
He turns to look at you, eyebrows perked up like he didn’t just say something ridiculous.
“This isn’t your nearest convenience store,” You repeat slowly. When he nods, you ask, “So why do you come here?”
Spencer laughs, realizing his mistake. “The one nearest me is literally down the street, but they don’t always have these,” He answers, holding up the pineapple orange mango-flavored drink. “This store is only a few more minutes away and it always has them.”
“I’m pretty sure that’s because you buy our stock,” You joke. “I’ve literally had my boss ask about why we are selling so many more.”
“Really?” He gasps, leaning in closer. “I used to only make the walk here if the closer one was out, but four months ago I just stopped bothering.”
The fact that four months is when you started working is not lost on you. Feeling confident, you add, “What about when you get coffee? I’m sure the other one has coffee.”
“True.” He looks slightly caught off guard, eyes scanning the store before speaking, “I only come to get coffee here if I’m too lazy to make it at home and running early enough to…” He pauses for a second, the sentence closing as if it wasn’t the planned ending. Finally, he adds, “To see you.”
You hum, looking down because your face is warm and you’re at a loss for words. Luckily, he’s too nervous to look at you either. You feel tingly, knowing full well that this is a special moment that you’ll look back on if you end up dating.
“Anyways,” Spencer breaks the silence. Before he can say anything else, he yawns, mouth opening wide.
“You know you can go home, right?” You laugh. When you look down at your computer, you see it’s about half an hour later. “No one has come in and I doubt anyone will before Marie gets here.”
“No, no,” He protests. “And anyway, aren’t I making time fly?”
“I suppose,” You grin. “You are quite great company.”
Spencer flashes you a smile that makes your insides twist. You wonder if he is picking up on all this. If he can tell that you’re interested in him.
“I’m honored.”
“You should be.” You sarcastically quip. “I have high standards for the company I keep close to me.”
“Is this close?” He contemplates aloud. “I’ve never even seen you without your black polo, black pants, and nonslip shoes.”
You laugh, looking down at your clothes. “Don’t you like this fit?”
“I mean, I love it,” Spencer starts, “But I don’t know how much you’re serving day to day.”
“I serve even when I’m only going to class,” You protest. “Maybe when I’m done with finals, I’ll grace you with my out-of-work personality.”
Spencer grins, “I’d be honored.”
You’re on high alert, knowing exactly what was happening.
“You should be,” You echo, unsure of what else to say. It doesn’t matter though. You could say anything and Spencer would find you charming.
“Maybe we can go to competing stores and graffiti them,” He suggests, long since turned around so he can look at you fully.
“Pft,” You laugh. “I don’t want to get arrested with you the first time we hang out.”
“You don’t? That’s usually my go-to!”
“Well, my go-to is food. Or the arcade.”
“The arcade?” He questions. “All this time I’ve been talking about games and you’ve never mentioned that you’re also a gamer?”
“I am not!” You protest. “Definitely not compared to you. You’re a savant and I’m the fool.”
“I doubt that,” He replies, a grin never leaving his face as he leans in closer. “I say arcade so I can check out your skills.”
“Deal,” You say, leaning onto the counter so you are only a few feet away. “The arcade it is.”

CLOSET MAKEOUT? i need details !!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED WRITING THIS!!! It was so fun and I hope you all love it!!
BABY I’M YOURS | Spencer Agnew x F!Reader
TW: Allusions to alcohol, making out, hickeys,
Word Count: 1.4k
Description: During a Smosh company party, Spencer gets desperate to have some alone time with Y/N.
One thing about the people at Smosh, they love to party. It’s kind of surprising with most of them being introverts and liking to be alone. Y/N guesses it’s because they’re all like family which makes it easier but it’s not for her to understand, just enjoy.
The company had just finished a huge project and so everyone was getting a well deserved wrap party. Ian and Anthony fitted the bill for it all as a way to say thank you and to keep up morale as this was the first big project since the company had become independent again.
The drinks have been flowing for hours along with food and plenty of music that has kept people on the dance floor. Y/N is currently there dancing with Chanse, Erin D, Angela, and Courtney, enjoying being with some of her closest friends.
Not too far away is the group of Shayne, Spencer, and Marcus V (Chanse’s boyfriend). The three are watching the group with different loving expressions, their significant others not too far away, enjoying themselves. “Marcus, I’m shocked you’re not over there with Chanse. You two usually kill the dance floor at these things.” Spencer says before taking a sip of his drink.
Marcus shrugs, “Eh, he seemed excited to dance with his girls right now. Also it’s cool to be in the partner circle now.” He says, making the two other men laugh. “Yeah, it was just me for a while until Y/N grew the extra ball to ask Spence out.” Shayne teases as the aforementioned man rolls his eyes.
“Okay, whatever, easy for you to say, Mr. Golden Boy. Cast members dating is one thing but crew dating is another.” Spencer says, leaning against a wall. “Yeah, but I’m glad you too finally broke the tension. It was killer, dude.”
“Yeah, I know, I was in it.” Spencer deadpans, making the two men next to him laugh. It was true, Spencer had liked Y/N for years but never took a chance because he would always psyche himself out with the whole crew members dating thing. Thankfully, Y/N told him how she felt, after many many talks with Courtney about if she should do it or not.
Zoning out of the conversation, Spencer focuses his gaze onto Y/N. He watches as her body flows with the music, her head back enjoying the music as if she’s in another world. Maybe she is as she looks over to her boyfriend, a silly smile on her face as she continues dancing.
The look brings his own smirk and he sets down his drink, “I’ll be back in a bit, guys.” He says, not caring to hear a response as he walks over to the dancefloor. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he pulls her against his chest as he leans down to her ear “Having fun, little peach?” He whispers in her ear before kissing her neck. The feeling of his lips making her giggle, “Very much, is there something I can help you with?” She asks as she leans her head back onto his shoulder.
“Yeah, you can come with me.” He says before grabbing her hand and walking away from the dance floor. “Spence, where are you taking me?” Y/N asks, them getting farther away from the music makes it easier for him to hear and the excitement is clear in her voice.
“Somewhere private, need to be alone for a bit.” Is all he says as they continue farther and farther away from the party. Looking around, he spots a closet and opens the door. He lets her in first before coming in and closing the door. “So what’s this all-Hm!” Y/N starts to say but is cut off as Spencer kisses her roughly.
His hands are cupping her cheeks as he pins them to the farthest wall. Her hands find place on his chest as her hands make fists with his shirt to keep some leverage.
The room is dark, not light except the small sliver coming from the door frame. That doesn’t stop the couple as the two only become more intertwined as moments pass.
Spencer moves his hands down to her waist, squeezing every few moments while Y/N has one hand tangled in his, once, nicely styled hair that is becoming messier as the seconds pass. Her other hand is on the side of his neck, gently scratching the back of his neck which gives him chills.
Moving his lips down, he kisses her jaw then makes home on her neck. She sighs happily at the feeling, the sensitive skin becoming a lovely fire with his lips searching the territory.
Starting to leave open mouth kisses, he finds the most sensitive part of her neck. The attention to the area makes her whimper as he starts to suck and lick, making a mark to show the world who makes her feel good, loved, and safe.
“If you keep going like this, I think we’ll have to worry about staying quiet.” She teases as he continues leaving marks on her neck. He hums before pulling away, “I don’t we’d have to worry, it’s loud enough out there and no one would come down here anytime too soon.” He sounds like he is basically suggesting and she can tell the biggest grin is on his face.
She uses this moment as her opportunity to push him against the opposite wall. He lands with a gentle thud before he feels her body on him, “I thought it was time to switch it up a little.” She says before kissing him.
Their lips move together in a passionate furry as he pulls her as close to him as he can. Needing to feel her all over him, like he’s addicted which he just might be. Her lips move down to his neck, open kissings being the way of travel down before she starts to leave hickies in her own right on him.
The sounds of his groaning and moans make edge her on. It’s sounds that not many people have heard and it’s something she treasures and values so much during their time alone together.
Once she seems satisfied, her lips move back to his. His hands land on her hips as she starts to unbutton his shirt. Y/N starts to slide the shirt off his shoulders when a knock sounds on the door, both of them stopping suddenly. “Spencer, Y/N, are you two in here?” Someone asks, it sounds like Chanse.
Before either of them can answer, the door opens and light floods the room. Standing in front of them is Chanse, Angela, and Erin. The couple looks at them shocked as the three’s jaws drop. “Chanse, what the hell?!” Y/N yells, “You didn’t even give me or him a moment to say anything.”
“I-I-I just-” The boy stutters out, almost speechless for once. “You three, leave now.” Spencer says, using his stern director voice. Something he has developed since getting his promotion a couple years ago. “Yeah, yeah, we were just about to. Sorry!” Erin says quickly as Angela starts to laugh. The door closes but Spencer leans over to turn on the light.
“Welp, that just ruined the mood.” He jokes, rubbing his partner’s hip. “Ruined the mood? Love, you should know me better than that.” Her face pulls into a cunning smirk. “But we should probably head home, don’t want another cast member or worse Ian or Anthony walking in.” Y/N says as she removes herself from him.
“Yeah, I like showing you off but that’s a bit much.” He says as she starts to button up his shirt. “Hmm, you do dress up nice when you want to, Spence. I like this look on you.” She says, wrapping her arms around his neck when his shirt is buttoned up.
“I’ll dress like this more often if you want.”
“No, I like your George Lucas look more.” He rolls his eyes as she laughs, “I do not dress like George Lucas!” He stresses, all she does is tap his chest with a teasing smile.
“If you say so, baby Lucas.” He groans as she takes his hand. The two of them leave the closet before heading to the exit for a lovely and fun night at home without curious co-workers trying to interrupt.

Catered Audience- Pt. 3

slow burn-ish, fluff, mutual pining, all that shit

‧₊˚ ✩°。⋆♡ ⋆˙⟡♡ ⋆˙⟡♡⋆。°✩˚₊‧♡‧₊˚ ✩°。⋆♡ ⋆˙⟡♡ ⋆˙⟡♡⋆。°✩˚₊‧
You were honestly surprised by the amount of friends you’d made just from catering for Smosh. At Mythical you had a few people you’d stop and chat with casually, just regular small-talk stuff. But every time you showed up here you seemed to make at least a few new friends, the kinds of friends you could actually see yourself hanging out with regularly.
That day, you had caught some guy inspecting the order receipt. Thinking you’d messed up, a conversation started and soon enough it was casual chit chat, something like what old friends would do. He said his name was Alex, a good friend of Kiana who had apparently brought you up one or twice in conversation the last little while. He was happy to answer your somewhat silly questions about what his job was like as you finished up your work, but a question of his own stopped you in your tracks.
“Have you seen the little moments of fame you’ve had on the channel lately?”
He brought it up as casually as you would the latest news report or a change in the weather, but the topic had your heart beating a little faster. “I think it’s absolutely hilarious, and between you and me I did think that Spencer guy was super funny!”
You lean on your cart as you bring Spencer up, the truth was that you’d been watching Smosh in the background during all your cooking lately, primarily videos where he’d been present. That was only a little bit on purpose. “I mean like- in the video I watched you guys film. I love Limp Bizkit, so the impression killed me. And he was so funny and full of energy, even if he sucked at darts! I was cheering for him the whole time, even though it was pretty obvious he wasn’t gonna win-” You cut yourself off suddenly, realizing you’d started to ramble about a guy you’ve never met to a complete stranger.
Alex, sensing he’d really caught your attention, proceeded to hype Spencer up. Coolest guy in the office, super nice, super fun to be around. Absentmindedly, he crumpled and uncrumpled the catering receipt in the pocket of his jacket as he spoke. You were pretty much hooked on every word, all the while trying and failing to keep a casual look about the whole thing. “It’s pretty impressive, you know. The amount of credit you’re getting without even being in the studio. If people didn’t already know you for the bangin’ food they definitely know you now…” He says, and you sense a small ulterior motive behind his words.
“Hell, you could come to the office Christmas party and nobody would even bat an eye…” He says slyly, sipping his drink as wheels turn in your head.
“Uh… I dunno about that much, hm. Wouldn’t want to cause a fuss or be out of place or anything…” You say, the social anxiety already creeping up on you. What would you even say? What would you do? Who would you talk to? What would you wear? You noticed your hands moving a little more quickly and messily as you packed everything up, barely listening as he continued. “I’m sure everyone would be happy to see you, you know. No pressure or anything, just an idea.”
He left the room after dropping that idea, leaving you alone with your thoughts. The idea of being nothing more to Smosh than a one-off joke was a little saddening, especially after enjoying conversations with people as much as you had. Fading to the background now would mean likely losing a lot of that interaction, but the alternative was arguably worse, crashing a company Christmas party and hoping people like that plan. If they didn’t… well, the idea sent a shiver down your spine.
You spent the next few weeks as usual, scolding yourself internally as the christmas party came to your mind more than a few times. You busied yourself in your work, prepping excessively and way too far in advance, just as an excuse to give your mind something to do other than think about it.
In one of the videos you watched as you worked, a ‘who knows me best’ starring Spencer, Angela mentioned you again. You refused to look at the screen, not even wanting to see how anyone reacted, but like any other video it was only minutes before you were rewinding the video, pausing and zooming and analyzing people’s reactions to you. Giggles were audible behind the camera and Angela had a big shit-eating grin on her face, but Spencer was what you really cared about.
The way he pursed his lips, shoulders shaking to give away his quiet chuckle before he finally broke into a small smile. You told yourself the light blush across his cheeks was the lighting, and forced your eyes away. Back to work, a blush forming on your own cheeks as you continued.
As you finally sat down on the couch, you felt your phone buzz from your pocket. Fishing it out, an email from Smosh was the first thing you saw. You immediately perked back up, despite your exhaustion. and cracked open a redbull. A gigantic and fairly extravagant order, definitely meant for the holiday party. You were surprised at the quality of the ingredients they were springing on, nothing like golf leaf or caviar but a lot of high-ticket products that made you cringe when sending over the price quote.
Within minutes they had agreed without protest, and the redbull had already been downed. You decide against watching any more Smosh for your mental health’s sake, so you throw on some vinyl and get to work.
After a few days of non-stop work, you were glad to have a regularly scheduled dinner delivery to Smosh, as a break from being alone and doing nothing but baking. The christmas party order had an insane amount of sweets, so you’d been making plenty of cakes, cookies, squares, bars… thinking about it too long makes your head hurt.Wheeling your cart into the studio as usual put a smile on your face quickly though, as you immediately met Angela’s eye.
“What’s for dinner today?” She asks, falling into step with you as she attempts to peek under the foil of the containers. “At least let me put them on the counters first!” You giggle, quickening your pace a little to tease her. “Whatever it is, it smells so good…”
As the two of you walk along and chat, you lock eyes with the same guy you’d met last time. The one who suggested you come to the christmas party, Alex. He smiles, waving to you and Angela. “What’s up? Did you convince her to come yet?” “Come to what?” Angela asks. “I just tracked her down now, haven had time to ask anything yet…” She adds mischievously, a smirk on her face.
“I just meant the christmas party” Alex returns pointedly. It felt like there was something in this conversation you couldn’t fully understand, but you didn’t have time to ponder this as Angela’s hand shot to your shoulder, an excited glint in her eye. “You gotta come, it’ll be so fun! The girls are planning matching outfits and there’s always great drinks and people and something crazy always happens, it’s such a good time…” She continues her rant on and on until you’ve got all the food set up and people start making plates. The only thing that seemed to stop her tirade was the idea that something would run out before she’d get to eat.
You sigh and lean against the wall, finally having a moment of peace. You still found it to be a horrible idea, like crashing a party you weren’t meant to be at. Alex seemed to read your mind, leaning next to you.
“She has a point, somewhere in all that rambling. People would love to have you there, but… no pressure.”
He seemed apprehensive at the end of the statement, pondering something to himself before deciding to stay quiet. Needing to break it, you voiced your own opinion.
“It’s just so foreign to me, I guess. I’m not technically part of the company, or really ever been part of a company. It’s always just been me working for me, I have no clue how to act at a work party. It’s not my party to go to, and it’d just be too… weird.”
To your surprise, Alex didn’t argue your opinion. Just nodded and shrugged. “You’re not weird. Nobody would think you’re weird. From what I've seen, you have a knack for getting people to favour you, especially when you throw in a freebie with the order.”
With that strange anecdote he left the room casually, leaving you to think. What did he mean? At least it was good that people liked you but what freebies had you-
oh.
oh.
Why the fuck did he know about that???
You were a little glad he had left the room and wasn’t witnessing your little freak out, packing your things quickly and getting out of there as fast as possible. Selina caught you by the door before you can leave, your frazzled expression worrying her. “Who is Alex… close friends with?” You ask awkwardly as she tries to get you to spill whatever is on your mind. “Ah, he’s a super friendly guy but he’s definitely closest with Spenc-” “Nope!” You cut her off blankly, carting your shit out of the building without explanation leaving poor Selina confused and worried for you.
Alex must’ve talked to Spencer about you. Spencer must’ve talked about you to Alex. He took that receipt. How much does he know? What is there to know at all? Why did you tell Alex, a whole stranger that much the other day? You stand in front of your car door, weighing your options.
You could storm back in there, track him down and make him swear to secrecy. Search his office for the receipt, and threaten him for any information he had about you.
You could… drive all the way to Canada, change your name and start a new life?
You could grab a pint of ice cream and watch movies alone on your apartment until you fall asleep…
You went with the third option.
Ben and Jerry weren’t the best at giving advice but they sure did provide a comfort that you needed, until your phone buzzed with a instagram DM from Selina checking in. You assured her you were fine, but she wanted to know more. Within minutes you caved and sent paragraphs upon paragraphs of everything, from initially seeing Spencer to making the stupid cupcake to Alex and the receipt to the christmas party, and all Selina had to say in response was… laughing emojis. You threw your phone against the wall and fell asleep promptly.
Soon enough, it was the day of the christmas party and you were in a bit of a craze from all the cooking and baking you’d been submerging yourself in to forget about your feelings. You couldn’t help but feel proud as you looked over the vast expanse of food you’d made, the intricate and huge gingerbread house the star of the show.
Once everything was packed into your car, you felt a slight pang of dread. It would be the first time going back to Smosh since Alex’s little comment and your realization that Spencer probably knew more about you than you thought, but you quickly shook the feeling away. You had planned for this, it would take you a long time to set everything up at the venue so you’d given yourself plenty of time, enough so that you would be out the door and gone before any partygoers even show up. Keys in ignition and brave face on, you headed out.
The venue was just as extravagant as the catering order. It took you a few trips to get everything in, the only other person already there was Ian himself, and you insisted you didn’t need his help bringing things in. You hadn’t had the chance to speak with him much prior, but he was really nice and very complimentary to your work, especially the gingerbread house and gingerbread cookie of himself. You were having a great time talking to him, pleasantly surprised with his interest in the process of making everything, until you were tackled from behind with a hug.
“Thank God you decided to show!” Shrieked a voice so energetic it could only be Angela’s. “I knew you would, I did! I should have got you the dress to match, shit! This is gonna be so fun, don’t even worry-”
Ian looked at you confused as you gently pried her off, trying to quiet the excitement down so you could get going. “Show… for what?” He asked, catching Angela’s attention. “The party! I told her to come but she insisted she wouldn’t, but I think Alex changed her mind…”
“Um, no. Sorry… I was just dropping the stuff off…” You interject awkwardly, gesturing to the tables of food and dessert you’d just finished arranging. Ian took the brief silence as an opportunity to make you an offer that had your stomach dropping.
“Whatever we’re paying you for all this food definitely isn’t enough. The least I could do is let you eat some of it! Since it seems you’re friendly with the cast, it only makes sense.” He says casually, a completely oblivious smile on his face.
The only thing worse than intruding on a party was rejecting an invite once you’re already there. With Angela looking at you so hopefully and Ian sharing such a gracious offer, you really couldn’t say no without being insanely rude, so you nodded and smiled, your brain going haywire.
“Thanks, I hope I'm dressed okay, I really didn’t plan on staying…” You smooth your slightly wrinkled shirt down before Angela places a hand on yours. “Have you ever seen our costume department?”
The grin on her face tells you that you would be seeing it soon.

spencer had been working at smosh for a few years now, and he had always been the quiet one in the corner, headphones on, immersed in an edit or a video game. everyone knew he was brilliant, but they never saw much of him outside of work. that changed the day he mentioned his girlfriend, y/n.
“wait, spencer, you have a girlfriend?” shayne, his closest colleague, said with a mix of surprise and skepticism.
“don’t sound so surprised! but yeah, she’s amazing,” he replied, a shy smile on his face. “she’s actually cooking dinner tonight. you guys should come over!”
the disbelief was palpable. everyone in the office exchanged glances, clearly doubting spencer’s story. but out of curiosity and the lure of a home-cooked meal, they accepted the invitation.
that evening, spencer’s apartment was a flurry of activity. y/n, a stunning woman with bright eyes and a warm smile, was bustling around the kitchen. she wore a casual dress and an plaid apron, her hair tied back in a high ponytail.
as the doorbell rang, spencer went to answer it, his nerves fluttering. He opened the door to shayne, courtney, amanda, and a couple of others from work.
“welcome welcome, come in!” he said, stepping aside. his friends walked in, their eyes widening at the sight of y/n.
“hi there! I’m y/n. dinner will be ready soon,” she greeted them, her voice cheerful and inviting. her smile was genuine, putting everyone at ease immediately.
“OH MY GOD,” angela shouted “spencer can bring her home she’s so pretty!”
amanda smacked her shoulder as they walked in, giving y/n an apologetic look. all she could do was smile in flattery.
as they settled into the living room, everyone couldn’t help but admire the cozy space filled with gaming consoles, posters of classic video games, and shelves lined with sci-fi novels and collectibles, which trevor and alex were studying in great detail whilst they were waiting for their food.
“wow, he really does have a girlfriend,” courtney whispered to shayne, who nodded, equally astonished.
when dinner was finally served, y/n’s culinary skills shone. the table was laden with a variety of dishes, each one smelling more delicious than the last. they all sat down, and as they started eating, the conversation flowed easily.
“so, spencer tells me you’re all big fans of gaming,” y/n said, looking around the table with a twinkle in her eye. “what’s everyone’s favorite game?”
and just like that, the ice was broken. they spent the evening discussing their favorite games, from childhood ones to the latest releases. to everyone’s surprise, y/n not only kept up, but shared detailed insights and strategies, revealing her deep knowledge and passion for gaming.
“you’re really into this stuff too?” ian asked, clearly impressed.
y/n laughed. “oh, absolutely. spence and i met at a gaming convention. he saw me playing qbert and he came up to me, and we bonded over our love for retro games.”
as the night went on, it became clear that y/n wasn’t just beautiful and kind, but also just as nerdy and passionate about gaming as spencer. she fit perfectly into his world, and he into hers.
by the end of the evening, any doubts about spencer’s relationship were completely dispelled. as his coworkers left, each one thanked y/n for the amazing dinner and the great company.
“thanks for having us, spencer. and y/n, you’re an angel! we should do this again,” anthony said, clapping spencer on the back.
spencer smiled, his shyness melting away. “yeah, we should. thanks for coming, guys.”
as the door closed behind them, spencer turned to y/n, who was busy cleaning up.
“thank you for tonight,” he said softly. “you were amazing.”
y/n smiled, reaching up to kiss his cheek. “anytime, lovebug. i love surprising people.”
and surprise them, she had. everyone at smosh wouldn’t stop talking about her. the slack messages were filled with praise for her cooking, and they realized that their shy, nerdy pal had found someone truly special.

“Hey, Y/N, did you want to get food after work? I’ve been craving a triple dipper from Chili’s,” Spencer asked his best friend.
“Oh, sorry, Spen. I have plans tonight. Maybe some time next week?” She replied, face stoic. She started messing around on her phone, and the space between them grew just a bit wider. Spencer had to force himself not to focus on it.
“Oh. Sure, no problem.” He walked back to his pod, dejected.
That was how it started. She stopped seeing him as much outside of work, then suddenly wasn’t scheduled for games shoots for a week or two. And when she was on a games shoot, their usual bouncy, spitfire interactions just weren’t the same. They had been on a livestream together earlier in the week, with Shayne and Amanda. He didn’t check the chat or comments on that one. Spencer already knew what they said.
Week after week, texts went unanswered, or answered days later. She wasn’t present around the office. Spencer was hurting, but he didn’t know who he could talk to about it. For two months now, their dynamic had become entirely different. And he didn’t know what the fuck he did. If he even did do anything.
He was tired of being tossed to the side, feeling discarded. Y/N had been his best friend for more than five years now, and he hadn’t seen her outside of work in months. He knew he had to talk to someone about it.
After some internal struggle, Spencer decided Courtney was his best bet. Angela was closer with Y/N, but Angela would also be biased. Not that he could blame her, he was biased in Y/N’s favor more often than not, too. It was hard not to be. She was magnetic, her energy addicting. He missed her. Courtney would be more pragmatic, and give some better advice. No shade to Ang, she was a great friend, but he couldn’t trust that she wouldn’t say something to Y/N that would derail their friendship further, unfortunately.
Once Y/N had left for the day, Spencer creeped around the office, trying to catch Court before they left.
“Court! Can I steal you for a second?” He yelled, running after Courtney. They were clearly on their way out, and he needed to talk to them today. She turned around, seemingly surprised to see Spencer.
“Oh! Hey, Spence. Yeah, can I meet you in your pod in like five minutes?” They were fiddling with their necklace, a nervous habit, and Spencer pretended not to notice. He nodded and made his way to the kitchen to grab a Kickstart. Y/N had already left for the day, and Spencer knew he wouldn’t be able to talk to Courtney if she were still in the building. She’d sense it somehow and find him spilling the metaphorical beans and ruin whatever chance he had at salvaging this.
After standing around in the kitchen for a moment, slightly procrastinating the conversation, he went back to his pod to find Courtney already there. “Oh, hey, I must’ve lost track of time, my bad.”
Courtney stood and walked over to Spencer, putting a hand on Spencer’s shoulder. “Spence, I love you, but if you’re going to ask me anything related to Y/N, I would really prefer not to get in the middle.”
Spencer deflated, confused. “Uh, can I ask what you mean by that?” His eyes shifted around, ensuring no one was in the hallway or near the door. He didn’t want whatever was happening to be overheard.
“Well, I know you two are, like, going through it right now, I guess. I don’t want to get involved… I don’t want to… take sides or whatever.”
Now he was even more confused. “I wasn’t aware that we were going through it… or that sides were needed?”
Courtney led Spencer to sit down so they could be a little more clear. They didn’t want to hurt Spencer’s feelings, but she might have to be a little mean if it meant getting her point across.
“Spencer. We’ve all noticed something going on with you two. If you two are going to break up we just want it to be amicable, we all love you both so much that–”
“Break up?” Spencer cut them off, his confusion surpassing a new level. “What the fuck do you mean, break up?”
“Well, we don’t want you to! But if that’s where it’s heading–”
“Courtney! Me and Y/N aren’t even dating?” Spencer’s face flushed without his consent.
“But you told us all months ago that you wanted to ask her out… and then you both were so different after a week or two that we all kind of thought you were just toning it down to be, you know, professional.” Courtney looked embarrassed, but so did Spencer.
“Oh, my god.” Spencer was horrified. “No, we are not dating, I still haven’t asked her out or, or even told her how I feel.”
“Well, I guess I can tell Shayne to stop worrying now. He thought you were, like, keeping the relationship and hot goss from him. You know how much he loves love.” Courtney smiled fondly.
Spencer felt extremely nauseous. “No, of course I would be telling him everything. But there’s nothing to tell. And I wanted to talk to you because I’m starting to get worried that there never will be anything to tell. She’s pulled back a lot and I don’t know what I did wrong or what happened. I was hoping you’d be able to give me some insight.” He took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm brewing in his head and his stomach. “It’s like, everything was fine. And then randomly, out of nowhere, it wasn’t. But as far as I can remember, we didn’t have a fight. I can’t think of anything I could have done to upset her like this, and I’m willing to apologize for whatever it is but…” He let out a sigh, “It’s like she’s a different person now. She won’t text me back, or she’ll respond days and days later with some shitty excuse. She’s not on that many games shoots anymore and when she is, she doesn’t seem to want to interact with me. I just want to fix this. My feelings for her aside, I miss my best friend, dude.”
Courtney wrapped Spencer in a hug, knowing that physical touch in moments like this always helped. Something she had actually learned from Y/N. After a soft pat on the back, they pulled apart. “Honey, I’m so sorry. We all misread the situation. I hope you don’t think we were uncaring, or that we didn’t want to help. We all knew something was up, honestly, you both wear your hearts on your sleeves. But we thought that it was more of a personal, relationship issue than… this. I’m so sorry, babe. Tell ya what, me, Ang, and Amanda will have a bestie’s night with her and see what we can figure out. Sound good?”
Spencer nodded, wiping a small tear that threatened to escape his eye.
“I can’t promise I’ll be the best double agent, depending on what I find out. But I’ll see what I can do. I know you love her, Spencer. We’ll get this sorted, okay?” Courtney gave Spencer a little pat on the head, and he left the conversation feeling a bit better.
//
“Y/NNNNNNNN!” Angela called down the hall, searching for her friend. “Yo, Shayne. Have you seen Y/N?”
Shayne shrugged his shoulders, “Haven’t seen her all day. Did she call off?”
“You’re no help!” She replied, letting him walk away.
Alex Tran then turned the corner into the little lunch area, and Angela decided to accost them next. “Alex! Where’s Y/N?”
“Uh, I don’t know? I thought she called out today.”
“What the fuck.” Angela took her phone out, immediately texting her.
yo where tf are u??? did u call out alex said u called out??
Angela then took a seat, a little out of breath from running around the Smoffice looking for her bestie. Luckily her phone vibrated nearly immediately.
yea sorry i got a lil stomach bug :/ hoping it’s a 24 hr thing bc i feel like ASS!!
“Okay she has a stomach bug everyone! Calm down!” Angela yelled, as though the lunch room was, a) populated and b) interested. She was interested.
stomach bug, eh? what’d you eat? spencer’s ass?

maybe.
After Angela finished her conversation with Y/N, she hopped over to the games set to do a quick livestream. It was slated to be an hour, but she silently hoped it ended a little earlier. After Courtney told her and Amanda that something weird was going on between Y/N and Spencer, she knew she had to sneak attack before the real attack. They had scheduled a bestie’s night out on Friday, and it was Wednesday. All three of them accosting Y/N at once wasn’t ideal, and she knew Y/N would clam up if she wasn’t eased into it, so she told Courtney and Amanda she would try and get some intel one-on-one first.
As Angela walked onto set, Alex informed her that he was swapping out for her in the stream, so she could head out whenever she wanted. They had winked when they told her this, so Ang could only assume this was a joint effort that he was in on. Good to hear.
She made her rounds to say goodbye and make sure she didn’t have any other tasks to finish that day, and confirmed with Ian and Anthony that she could head out. Once she was all good to go, Angela texted Y/N to let her know she was picking up food and then would be on her way.
//
You were laying in bed, curled up under the covers trying to come up with an excuse. Why did you have to say it was a stomach bug? You should be able to be open and honest with your friends. After a nice deep sigh, you got up and put on some sweats and a t-shirt, knowing Angela would arrive in mere minutes.
You grabbed a Red Bull from your fridge, needing a kick of energy. You should text Spencer. He had messaged you about an hour before, just to say he hopes you feel better. Damn your lie. You opened the text thread with him, looking at your frankly embarrassing lack of responses or late replies. He deserved better than that. That was the problem, though, wasn’t it? He deserved a better friend. And a fantastic partner. And you knew that he didn’t want that, despite how badly you did.
The feelings you had been harboring for Spencer were getting to a point you couldn’t deny them anymore. You’d been pushing them down since that very first day, and your heart was hurting. A lot.
– Five years ago –
You walked into the office, head held high despite your anxiety. You wanted to make a good impression, and you weren’t letting your brain get in the way of that. You couldn’t. Greeted by a man a few inches taller than you, though not by much, you felt oddly at peace right away. He had glasses and little tattoos decorating his forearms, and his curly brown hair was wisping to and fro under a hat with the Smosh logo across it.
“Hey, are you Y/N?” He asked, and you nodded silently, finding yourself at a loss for words. “I’m Spencer. I’ll be sitting in on your interview. I help out on the games channel and edit here and there.” His smile was bright, and you felt yourself returning it.
“Oh, cool. Uh, I think I’m supposed to be meeting with Ian?” You said, despite him clearly already knowing this information.
He smiled again, and your stomach fluttered without your permission. The calm feeling that came over you was certainly reassuring, but if your body kept reacting to this random man like this, you were expecting a few problems in your future.
“Yeah, we’re meeting right down the hall here. I’ll take you over but then I’m going to run to the kitchen to grab a Kickstart. Ian should already be in there anyway, and he’s definitely going to appreciate your timeliness.” Spencer glanced at the watch on his wrist, seeming to mentally note that you were around five minutes early. Truthfully, you had arrived twenty minutes before your actual interview, but you didn’t want to be that early. After sitting in your car and listening to some music to relax, you had made your way in with eight minutes to spare. You got a little caught up at the door and the very kind and conversational woman at the desk, but still managed to be early.
You nodded again, and followed Spencer down the hall to a meeting room that was spacious but cozy. The man sitting at the head of the table – Ian, you assumed – smiled and stood as you entered.
“Hey, Spencer.” He walked to meet you both at the entrance, and he held his hand out to shake. “And you must be Y/N! I’m Ian Hecox, we spoke over email.”
You shook his hand, introducing yourself and thanking him for the opportunity.
Spencer told Ian he’d be right back, and you and Ian grabbed seats at the table. “I see you’ve met Spencer! He works on the games channel, but he’s lined up for a promotion to director of games so I asked him to sit in on the interview just so he’d be comfortable when he actually had to start interviewing people himself.”
“He’s very nice! He made me feel welcome right away.” You were lightly fidgeting under the table, anxiety coming back now that Spencer had left.
You and Ian got to talking about your past experiences – improv with Groundlings, two one-woman plays at Dynasty Typewriter, and some script work here and there at small entertainment companies. You had applied for cast but told Ian you’d be fine behind the scenes as well, hoping to have a shot at one or the other and emphasizing your willingness to wear multiple hats.
Soon, Spencer returned and shut the door behind him, sitting across from you at the table with Kickstart in hand.
After the interview, Ian had called you personally a mere hour afterwards to tell you he was impressed with your resume and interview and wanted to bring you on. You’d start doing some script work, and then would transition to cast full-time if you liked it. You were ecstatic, but couldn’t help but be even more excited at the concept of getting to know Spencer better.
Unfortunately, by the end of the interview you could already tell you were developing a work crush on Spencer. You’d had them before, and you’d kept yourself in check. You could do it again, right?
Five years later, you weren’t so sure.
//
You were pulled out of your reverie by your Ring doorbell going off. You knew it was Angela because she also knocked afterwards, the same catchy little knock she always did. You took another sip of your Red Bull and ventured to your door, pulling it open and giving Ang a hug.
“Well, you don’t look all that shitty, considering you’re apparently shitting your brains out and puking them up as well. Spill, bitch,” was her only form greeting as she came into your apartment and sat the little soup containers on the counter. She turned around and glared at you, but there was no real venom in it. Angela could see through you like nobody else, even Spencer. He understood you in a way that was different, for sure, but you could never lie or even lightly fib to Ang without her immediately calling you on it.
Another sigh escaped you, and you sat on your couch to get into it. “Where should I start? Actually, tell me your hypothesis and I’ll go from there.”
Angela scooted up close to you, leaning her head on your shoulder. You were big on physical touch, and she somehow always knew what you needed. “You’re in love with Spencer and having trouble coming to terms with it because you think he doesn’t return your feelings so you’ve been silently freaking out for probably two months because you hate talking about your feelings even though I’m your best friend and know exactly what you’re feeling at all times even when you try to hide it from me.”
“You didn’t take a breath for that whole sentence, you know,” was your only response.
She poked your thigh, “Don’t deflect.”
You rolled your eyes, affectionate in every way, because you couldn’t be mad when she was fucking right. Because of course she was. “Is it deflection if you already know you’re correct, you demon? Yes, you’re spot the fuck on, as always. Jesus.” You laid your head on the back of the couch, trying to remain calm. “I don’t know what the fuck to do. I can’t hide this shit anymore, and it’s getting to a point where it’s interfering with my work, clearly. I know he doesn’t feel the same – I can’t even give myself hope that he does because, like, I feel like he would have told me at this point, you know? We’re always honest with each other, occasionally too honest, and I find it hard to believe he’d be able to keep that from me. He’s an open book, and I can read him like you can read me. I don’t know. I’ve been feeling lost about it, I guess.”
Angela let you get your feelings out, awkward pauses and teary eyes given grace because she’s always good to you. But then she laughed. A deep, rumbling laugh from the depths of her soul. Which hurt a little bit.
“Why the fuck are you laughing at me? I’m emotional, be nice, you freak!” You laughed beside yourself, because even though it did hurt a little bit, you know her intentions were golden.
“Y/N, you idiot. Walk me through your thought process here. Why do you think he doesn’t return your feelings, seriously. I want an explanation.”
“Like I said! He hasn’t said anything! I’ve just been pushing him away because that’s easier than being near him, Angela, it hurts to be next to him knowing I can never kiss him or tell him what I’m really feeling. I want to do everything with him. I want to carpool to work with him, I want to go to dinner with him and cook food for him, I want to go on Kickstart runs with him and try to understand why the fuck he drinks that shit when Red Bull exists. I want to understand him, inside and out. I want him, in every sense. And if he wanted all that too, he would have told me by now!” You were tired of keeping everything inside, and you knew Angela wouldn’t sugarcoat anything or lead you astray.
Ang grabbed your hands, rubbing her thumbs against the backs of them – your favorite form of physical comfort from her. “Babe, I’m quite literally going to hold your hand when I tell you this. You’re way too in your head about this. Step back, take a deep breath, and try to see his perspective. You haven’t told him anything either, and now you’re ignoring him and doing your best to not be anywhere near him. How is he supposed to interpret that? How could he be honest with you about his feelings when you won’t even text the poor man back? What if he was gearing himself up for it, finally ready to be open, and then you pull back so far he doesn’t feel like it’s a good idea to tell you?”
After a few deep breaths on your part, and a nice inhale on Angela’s, you started calming down. “Well, yeah, I guess. But what makes you think he returns my feelings? What gave you that inclination?”
“I’ve been in an office with you five days a week for two years. And my eyes work. With or without my glasses. Y/N, I’m not trying to push you or stress you out, and I’m also not trying to tell you how Spencer feels. Only he knows what he’s feeling, but I know what I see. The way he looks at you, the way his smile fades just the slightest bit when you leave the room, the way he tailors his jokes to make you laugh the hardest, not even trying to make jokes that would land for anyone else. I can’t tell you that Spencer returns your feelings, but I can tell you that I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if he did. You need to let him in, and even though you don’t have to tell him how you’re feeling right away, you need to be more honest with him. He’s your best friend, and even if he somehow, in some extremely strange turn of events, doesn’t feel the same, I don’t think that he’s going to cut you off for loving him.” She punctuated her sentence with a hug and a kiss to your forehead.
“Can I have some soup?” You whispered, tears threatening to spill.
“Do you deserve soup? You are a liar. I don’t think liars deserve soup,” Angela replied, despite standing to grab the containers. You laughed, grateful for her lack of seriousness, and grabbed a tissue from your end table to dab at your eyes.
She brought over the containers, setting them on the coffee table and handing you some napkins and a spoon. “Everything will be okay, honey. But you have to talk to Spencer, and soon. Can you promise me you’ll text him today? Even just to say hi. Like I said, you don’t have to tell him everything right away. But you can’t keep pushing him away, okay?”
“Okay.”
After some soup and an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Angela headed out after nudging your phone closer to you. You nodded, and gave her a hug once you thanked her for her time and the soup.
You put a record on, some random piano and instrumental album Spencer had gifted you after he found it at the thrift shop. Sinking into the couch once more, you muscled up the nerve to pick up your phone.
Angela had sent you a text encouraging you once more, and you sent some hearts in return. Opening the text thread with Spencer, your single pinned conversation in the messaging app, you took a deep breath and started typing.
hey bug. are u free?
His response was immediate, almost alarmingly so. You knew his phone was on do not disturb, but you also knew that you came through all his different DND modes.
yeah what’s up?
can you come over? i miss you
omw love
The fast responses were a bit anxiety-inducing, and you realized you should probably make yourself a little more presentable. Making your way to the bathroom, Find My Friends app open and live-updating, you brushed your hair out and changed into one of Spencer’s shirts you stole however many years ago. You tossed on some pants, not wanting to be in sweats when you knew you were probably going to spill your guts as soon as he knocked on your door. Some mascara also probably wouldn’t hurt, but the Find My Friends app informed you that he wasn’t far away. Plus, you didn’t expect to make it out of this conversation without tears.
Spencer had to have been speeding with how quickly he got to your apartment. LA traffic was no joke, but it didn’t seem like he had encountered any somehow. When you first checked his location after texting him, you saw he was at the office, so you wondered what he told Ian and Anthony to be able to leave so quickly.
You had finally managed to calm yourself down, and then he was in your apartment’s little entry alcove. You had given him a key as soon as you got the place. He hadn’t asked, but you were given two keys and knew if you needed him for anything he’d be over quicker than anyone else.
“Hey,” you whispered, taken aback by his natural beauty. He was wearing his glasses, which you secretly preferred. They suited him so well, and they made his eyes just a bit brighter.
Spencer walked over to you, wrapping you in a hug with absolutely no hesitance. You appreciated that about him – no matter what was going on in either of your heads, you could always count on him to give you a hug when he saw you for the first time in a while.
“Hi, love.” He placed a small and quiet kiss on the top of your head, something he had been doing for years at this point, but it almost hurt a little bit this time. You were beginning to worry again. How could you deal with not having that physical affection if this went badly? “Get out of your head, Y/N. What’s going on, just talk to me, please.”
You both relaxed onto the couch, mere centimeters apart, as always. The strongest gods to exist couldn’t pull him away from you.
“I’m really sorry, bug. I’ve been shitty.” You looked down at your hands, decades-old habit of fidgeting with your thumbnail returning with a quickness. Spencer put his hand on yours, knowing you’d pick at your skin if he didn’t intervene. God, you really loved this man. “I’ve been pushing you away because I’ve been having my own internal issues, and that’s unfair to you, and I’m sorry. I’ve been a bad friend, but I want you to know it’s not your fault in the slightest. You know I tend to bottle stuff up, and I’m sorry I haven’t been honest.”
Spencer put his arm around you, pulling you ever-closer to him. You rested your head on his shoulder, a mirror of you and Angela a mere thirty minutes prior. Tears started falling, and you didn’t try to stop them. You had to let it out, holding it in wouldn’t do any good. Yeah, Angela tried to reinforce that you didn’t need to tell Spencer everything right away, but talking about it with her helped enough that you were confident now. It was time.
“Spence,” you started, looking up at him through your lashes. “I love you, you know that, right?”
He smiled, brighter than the sun, “Of course. I love you, too, Y/N.”
“Yeah, but I’m not entirely sure you love me the way I love you.” You looked away at this point, unable to hold eye contact when you knew you were about to let far too many words fall out of your mouth. “Five years ago when I walked into that office and you greeted me, I was so, so anxious. Your presence immediately calmed me down, and I honestly knew then and there that I was fucked. You were just so kind, and in the interview you asked questions that made me feel like I’d known you my whole life. We fit together like two strange little puzzle pieces, and I’ve felt this way since that day. I’m so fucking in love with you, Spencer. It’s killing me. I don’t expect you to return my feelings and I promise, although it might hurt a little bit at first, I really, really don’t want us to go our separate ways. But I can’t keep this inside anymore.”
You took a breath, steeling your nerves. “I want to do everything with you, and I want to be everything to you. I’m head over heels over ass over dick in love with you, and it’s driving me crazy. I tried pulling away, I thought it might help the feelings fade. But I just feel like a dick, since that’s what I’ve been for months at this point. I’m really sorry, I was trying to preserve my own sanity but I didn’t take your feelings into account and that’s unfair and shitty. I can’t say that I love you and then treat you how I’ve been treating you. I hope you can forgive me for how I’ve been acting. And above all, I hope you can forgive me for loving you. I can’t make it stop, but I promise I won’t hold anything against you. And I promise I’ll be a better friend.”
You finally separated from his side, grabbing yet another tissue to dry your face before daring to look at him. When you did finally turn your attention to Spencer, he was silently crying too.
“Y/N, you wouldn’t believe how happy I am to hear that. I’ve not been fair to you either, and I promise I’m not upset and I don’t hold anything against you. I’d be extremely hypocritical if I did.”
You were quiet, hoping he’d continue to elaborate. You didn’t want to get your hopes up, you needed to hear it from him. You needed him to say it.
When Spencer realized you weren’t going to respond, he gave you what you silently asked for. Always a mindreader, him. “I love you too, Y/N, and I have loved you just as long. When I saw you all those years ago, my heart started racing, and I thought I was having a stroke.” A quiet laugh escaped him, reminiscing on that fateful day. “You were effortlessly gorgeous, and you held yourself so confidently. I’ve been gone for you since that day, so no, I’m not upset. I’ve been meaning to tell you, too, but right when I finally decided to nut up, you started pushing me away. I got super paranoid that you had somehow realized how I felt and were, like, grossed out and decided to distance yourself. But I love you too, I have for years, and I will continue to do so for the rest of my life. It’s been you for five years, and it’s always going to be you. I can promise you that.”
He had been holding your gaze the whole time he spoke, and you could tell he was being a hundred percent genuine. All your anxiety dissipated and was replaced with a burning happiness deep in your veins.
Feeling all too bold, you quickly asked, “Can I kiss you?”
His response came in the form of soft lips on yours, no pressure, no rush. Just… bliss.
You started to lay back on the couch, bringing him down with you, until you were both wrapped up in each other, lazily kissing like you had all the time in the world. And it felt like you did – time had stopped entirely and the only real, tangible thing in this universe was Spencer.
It was easy, falling into this. But it had been easy all along, you had just made it hard because you were scared. And Spencer didn’t hold that against you, he understood better than anyone. When he did finally pull back, your smiles were both so wide you knew your cheekbones would be hurting come morning. All you could do was thank him. For the kiss, for his compassion, for his forgiveness. For returning your feelings, and not judging you for being a shithead for two months. For giving you the time and space you needed to pull your head out of your ass. Spencer wasn’t having any of it, of course.
You knew there was a conversation that needed to be had, about what this friendship or relationship was now, and how you were going to navigate this change. But that could wait. You had forever, hopefully, and you knew Spencer would give you any time you needed.
That’s why you love him, after all – he understands you better than anyone, and he had more patience than anyone else you’d met.
You weren’t exactly looking forward to getting off this couch and moving forward, to be honest. You just wanted to stay in this moment and in Spencer’s arms, his lips on yours and his hands on your waist. But life waits for no one, and after all, Spencer was in your life, for good. You weren’t worried about the future, per se, but you had been waiting more than 1800 days for this, and you were planning on savoring it for as long as you possibly could.
You had a feeling Spencer did, too.

Your dreams came true one night after a long shoot week when you and Spencer decided to have a movie night and out of nowhere Spencer confessed his feelings, he claimed he would die if he didn’t tell you.
That was over three years ago and since then you and Spencer have been nothing but in love. The only caveat was that the fans didn’t know. For a while this was okay, preferred even. It meant you got to keep your life private and keep Spencer to yourself. You both had even agreed to not say anything deciding it would be easier to deal with anything on the off chance that something happens between you two.
But here you are, 3 years and 8 wonderful months under your belt. You were madly in love, falling for Spencer even more everyday. The only issue was that you couldn't be together in public. Of course you could go out and do stuff or get food but you couldn’t just hold his hand or kiss his cheek whenever you wanted to. Your frustration at this is what led you to this moment.
“Hey Spence,” You began, turning away from the pan of vegetables you were seasoning.
“Yeah babe?” He responded, looking up from his phone.
“Can we talk?” You asked.
“Well that doesn’t sound good.” He remarked, hearing the serious tone in your voice.
“It’s nothing bad… I’ve just been thinking a lot lately.”
“I told you that wasn’t a good idea.” Spencer joked.
You couldn’t help but giggle, “Yeah whatever. I’m serious though. I’ve been thinking and I love you so much. I love you so much that I want the whole world to know.”
“O-Okay?” Spencer asked, confused. “Are you saying you want to go public?”
“That’s exactly what I’m saying. It doesn't have to be a big thing but I’d like to be your girlfriend everywhere, not just in private.”
Spencer thought for a moment. It would be nice to not be walking on eggshells anymore, and clearly this was important to you so he agreed.
“Wait really?” You asked, smiling ear to ear. He grabbed your hand, giving it a small, reassuring squeeze.
“I think it’s long past due, I should have let the world know ages ago that I have the most wonderful… beautiful… intelligent… hilarious girlfriend in the universe.” He professed, punctuating each compliment with a kiss up your arm.
“I love you Spence.”
“I love you more Y/N.”
—
Later that night you sat down with Spencer to choose what photos to use. You had decided to soft launch for now, leave a little mystery to keep the fans on their toes. You wanted to post a photo dump and sneak maybe two Spencer-centric pictures in it.
When you found the perfect lineup of pictures you posted.

August 4th
——————————————————————————————————
A month into this you and Spencer decided to make an official post on August 11th for your 4 year anniversary, allowing all of the previous posts to be build up. You guys didn’t necessarily hide things when out in public, allowing yourselves the small moments of affection wherever you may be. You felt much more free and also felt even more in love.
There were comments on every post suspecting you two. Things even moved into youtube. You and Spencer were often in videos together or he was around during filming and people started to pick on more.
There had always been a large number of fans who thought you two should be together. There were hundreds of ship edits online and following the Shourtney marriage the fanbase decided that you and Spencer were next.
This made things even more fun. People were conspiring about each and every post. There was “Why Spencer and Y/N are dating AND have been for a while. A thread:” on twitter, and slideshows on tiktok. You had to admit it was kinda impressive, and maybe a little scary.
---
The day finally came. It was August 11th. You and Spencer were officially going public. You had spent the morning together, enjoying each other and the final moments of peace.
You both had to be at the office today but you didn’t mind. It meant you got to spend some time around your favorite people, and the support they’ve shown about the hard launch was reassuring. You and Spencer had scheduled your posts to go up at 1 pm. It was 12:55 and you were shaking with excitement. Spencer was sat next to you, his arm hanging around your shoulders, your phones sitting on the table in front of you.
“We’re doing this.” You said, swiveling in your chair to face him.
“We are.” Spencer smiled, placing two fingers under your chin to pull you into a chaste kiss.
Distracted by Spencer you didn’t notice Kiana and Emily placing a cake in front of the two of you. You and Spencer turned your heads to read “Smosh Hard Launch #2” in blue icing across a small round cake. You and Spencer couldn’t help but laugh, he pulled you into his side, seeing there was less than a minute until the posts went live.
“15! 14! 13!,” Kiana began to count down, a wide smile on her face. Everyone was together for lunch and the rest of the cast and crew joined in. “12! 11! 10! 9! 8! 7! 6!”
You and Spencer looked at each other, beaming from ear to ear, “5! 4! 3! 2! 1!” you both joined in.
A chorus of “Happy hard launch!!”s rang through the space. It was done, there was nothing you could do now. The world now knew that you and Spencer were dating. ——————————————————————————————————

request: hi! I’m requesting again! I LOVED the spencer hcs! I am normal. you totally don’t have to write this if you’re not comfortable, but maybe something about spencer taking care of his s/o while she’s menstruating? thank you. you’re the coolest. / from the lovely @earspop! ahhh, thank you so much. you’re the sweetest :’) thank you for your requests, i’m genuinely having so much fun writing for spencer rn! and tmi, i was just on my period so imagining him looking after me menstruating totally works for me lol (no but fr, sooo so normal about this man 😳) <33
pairing: spencer agnew x afab! reader
warnings/ included content: reader gets their period (tw) but spencer is there to make it better. just fluffy content.
a/n: yayyy! another spencer fic, little bit of a short one this time. as always, if you see any errors or mistakes, please feel free to point them out. it’s not edited yet because i wanted to get it out quickly, so a little note if you see any would be greatly appreciated! if you have any requests you’d like to see, please leave them <3
there was nothing in this world that you hated more than getting your period.
you expected it, knew the reason you had been feeling shitty all week was because literal hell was creeping up on you.
at least now you had a reason to tell spencer as to why you had cried when he showed you a tiktok of two cats cuddling and said “us”.
but you weren’t happy at all, you never were around this time of the month.
what does help though, is having the sweetest boyfriend who is ready to drop everything to help you through it.
you were sure he was probably a little suspicious himself about when your period was next due.
luckily it fell on a friday, so you could just relax the first couple of days. which usually, you found were the most painful.
you had just finished showering when you heard spencer come home. you heard him leave his shoes and bags at the front door, slowly making his way through your apartment. “honey, you home?”
you called back weakly, letting him know you were in the bathroom. he knocked on the already open door, asking if it was okay for him to come in.
you agreed and his head appeared through the crack. his smile dropped slightly as he took in your red puffy eyes, which he could only assume was from you crying.
“is everything okay?” he asked as he quickly came closer to you, his arms reaching out to pull you into his chest.
you nodded glumly, “i got my period.”
“oh baby,” he cooed, his hand moving to stroke your wet hair. “not feeling too good?”
your shook your head.
“i think i know something that will cheer you up.” he pressed a kiss to your head, taking step back to look at you. “why don’t you get yourself comfortable then come meet me in the lounge?”
you nodded and he placed another kiss on your head.
he made his way to the door but stopped just before leaving, a cheeky smile on his face. “hey, at least we know your new birth control works.”
you knew he was trying to make light of the situation but you couldn’t stop yourself from throwing your face towel towards him. which, was obviously unsuccessful as he managed to dodge it. you shook your head at him, a smile on your face nonetheless, and he blew a kiss in your direction before closing the door.
by the time you had gotten changed into something comfy and came to the lounge room, spencer had managed to set everything up. he knew before he left for work this morning that he wanted to do something nice for you and he couldn’t have planned a better day.
you froze upon seeing the lounge. there he was laid on the sofa, waiting patiently for you to finish with a comforting smile.
your favourite food and snacks were laid out on the coffee table and the tv was ready to play your favourite movie.
god, this man was a dream.
“come here, baby.” he patted in between his legs, ushering you over. you couldn’t have moved faster. you laid in between his legs, your back pressed against his chest.
“spence, this is so sweet.” you pouted, looking up at him as he pressed play on your movie.
he pressed a kiss to your cheek, his arms wrapping around you in a hug. “anything for m’lady.”
his hands made their way to your stomach, massaging gently. “now relax and let me take care of you.”
and he definitely refuses to let you lift a muscle for the rest of the night. which is no problem for him, he loves to look after you.

You are in love
Spencer Agnew x reader
A/N this was inspired by you are in love by Taylor Swift. Yes, I’m a big swiftie lmao. This isn’t so focused on the lyrics or anything specifically in the song. I just thought the idea of him realizing he was in love with his partner was really cute. This is gonna be a really short one but it’s cute. Simple but sweet:) also, forewarning. I do not get to heavily edit this, so you will have to overlook the typos. I have to go study for my exam tomorrow now. Hope you all have had/are having a good day<3

.
.
Spencer realized he is falling harder and harder each day. It was so cliche but he felt like a teenager falling in love for the first time. He honestly felt like there was no time or use for things like this during this period of his life but then he met you. You were new two years ago to the cast. You were hired on in the art department and had to help Spencer out one day with something for one of his characters. It was like love at first sight for him, as cheesy as it is to say. You just had such a carefree energy. You were also always so happy. You were like a big cup of coffee. Anyone who spent any time around you was in the best mood and ready to kick the days ass.
“Hey loser.” You said as you flopped down in a chair beside his desk. It was the end of the day and usually, the two of you would go to his place and order food then watch something or play a game. Tonight, you two were going over to Shayne and Courtney’s home for a little celebration. “You ready to head out?” You asked giving him a soft smile.
Just your smile alone flooded his chest with the craziest butterflies. He felt heat flood to his chest and he smiled and nodded his head at you. “Yep, we’re going to Courtney and Shayne’s house, aren’t we?” He asked while turning his computer off and grabbing his stuff.
“Yes, I’m gonna go get absolutely plastered and you are gonna have to take care of me for the reeeeest of the night.” You said jokingly, throwing your arm over his shoulder.
Just you touching the man sent sparks flying throughout his body. “Yeah, right. You will take one sip of a drink, complain about it not being good, then give it to me to finish.” He said glaring at you.
The two of you headed out of the office hand in hand, to your car. You were in your head thinking about some of the stuff you had to get done tomorrow and realized someone was burning holes into the side of your head. You looked out of your corner of your eye and seen Spencer staring at you.
“Whatcha looking at, pretty boy?” You asked giving his hand a small squeeze.
Spencer tried laughing it off, slightly embarrassed that you caught him staring at you. He shot his eyes forward then glanced back over at you again, “Something beautiful.”
The two of you finally reached his car and got in to make your way to Courtney and Shayne’s home. There wasn’t much talking. You just played music over the aux while zoning out. Spencer could do nothing but stare at you. There was just something different about you tonight. He didn’t know if it was a certain way you had done your hair or the outfit you were wearing or what. He just felt like he was staring at the graphics in a new video game or something. He couldn’t get over how ethereal you are.
You finally made it to the party and started greeting people as the two of you walked in. You ended up splitting up, as he went with Shayne and Tommy and you went with Courtney, Kimmy, and Amanda.
The three of you stood for a while talking whenever Amanda noticed a certain someone kept glancing at you.
“If someone turns his head to look at you anymore, his neck is gonna break.” Amanda whispered while nodding her head in Spencer’s direction.
“I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen him so.. love struck before.” Courtney said giggling. “Ever since the two of you have been hanging out, he just seems so much happier. You just bring so much light to him.”
You started shaking your head while smiling, “No, no. It’s not me that has caused that. He’s just happier in general.” You explained while staring down at your drink and stirring it.
“Y/N. I have never seen that boy blush before until he started talking to you. You are like the sunshine to him.” Amanda said softly smiling at you and you couldn’t help but to blush.
“He honestly makes me really happy. Every other partner I’ve had in the past, I’ve never felt so comfortable with like I do with him. He is like my best friend.” You said while pushing your hair behind your ear.
Courtney just starts giggling while looking towards Spencer, “Literally every time he looks over here, his face lights up. It’s so freaking cute.”
Angela and Arasha walked up, so the five of you started talking about work and Courtney and Shayne.
Over at Shayne, Spencer, and Tommy’s table, they were drilling him about you and giving him shit.
“If you look at Y/N anymore, your eyes are going to burst of your head Spencer.” Tommy said while laughing at him.
“I wasn’t look at them, what are you talking about?” Spencer said while shaking his head and tried to change the topic to a new movie that is coming out. Of course, this didn’t work because he glanced over at Y/N and it was like his brain went to mush. They were standing directly under a light, so it was like a spotlight was on them. They just looked perfect. His words kept getting jumbled together and he kept stuttering. He finally just stopped trying to talk and stared at them for a minute. All he could think about was wanting to go over and kiss them. He was just so enamored by them.
Shayne was looking at him smiling because he knew exactly what it was he was feeling but he didn’t say anything. He knew that feeling because that is exactly how he felt whenever he started falling for Courtney.
It was suddenly like Spencer’s brain just broke down even more than it all made sense to him. All he could think was, holy shit I am in love with Y/N. His chest felt like it was on fire and he started shaking due to nerves.
“Are you okay dude?” Shayne asked noticing that the guy looked like he was about to start crying.
“No. I’m fucked.” Spencer whispered to himself before he chugged the rest of his whiskey.
“What’s wrong?” Tommy asked aloud, looking at the two in front of him.
“I think I’m in love with them.” Spencer mumbled while just staring at the table in front of him. Tommy and Shayne lost it and started shouting nonsense while acting like teenage girls. They never thought they would see Spencer like this because he was always someone who shut down his feelings. They couldn’t get over the fact that Spencer had finally found his person.
Y/N caught on to the two freaking out while their partner sat, looking like he was having a meltdown at their table. You stayed at the table staring at the three till you noticed Spencer was visibly tearing up and starting to cry.
“Oh, shit. I’ll be back, I think something’s wrong with Spencer.” Y/N said before jumping up to go grab Spencer and walk outside. You grabbed a water bottle while on the way and approached their table. “Hey boys, sorry to break up the party for a few minutes. I’m gonna grab curly headed goober here for a second.” You said giving Tommy and Shayne a soft smile.
Spencer just stood up and walked towards the back door that lead to the backyard. You followed behind him and shut the door behind him.
“Hey you, are you okay?” You asked, sitting down beside Spencer on the swing. You placed a hand on his thigh and started rubbing your thumb across his leg then handed him the water in your other hand. “Thought maybe you could use some water. You know, gotta stay hydrated.” You said whispering.
Spencer forced a smile back to you while grabbing the water then shook his head while getting a sip of it. “I’m fucking terrified.” He said while staring at the ground.
“Why?” You asked, taking your hand off his leg and wrapping your arm around his shoulder then resting your hand on the back of his head. You started lightly scratching the back of his head while staring at him, hoping maybe this would calm him down. Little did you know, the little signs of affection you were giving him were driving him absolutely insane. He just wanted to shout that he was in love with you.
You turned a little in the swing to face him but kept your hand on the back of his head. You were giving him a few minutes to try and calm down before asking anymore questions. Out of nowhere’s, Spencer just blurts, “I’m scared because of this.” It caught you off guard. All you could think was, I fucked this up. He’s going to break up with me.
Spencer felt you tense up and all he could do was laugh. “I’m not meaning it in a negative way. Actually, maybe a little. I’m just terrified I’m going to screw this up.” Spencer explained, finally looking over at you.
“Spencer, you could never-“ He immediately cuts you off. “I’m in love with you. I mean I am head over heels, infatuated with you. The second I wake up in the morning, you’re the first thing on my mind. The second I hear news that is exciting, I want to run to find you and tell you. The second I accomplish something, I want to find you and tell you. You give me a reason to be excited about the world, Y/N. I know we’ve only been together for almost eight months but god, I am so in love with you and just want to experience the rest of my life with only you.”
All you could do was just stare at him. “I’m not proposing to you right now, if that’s what it sounds like.” Spencer said while chuckling. “I’m just saying that one day, I want to marry you. One day, I want to do the thing old married couples do with you.”
“Can you say that again?” You asked staring at him in shock.
He looked at you with confusion, “I’m not proposing to you?”
You just laughed and shook your head, “No, no. What you said a minute ago.”
He just nodded his head slowly for a second before turning in the swing to face you. “I am so in love with you.”
All you could do was pull him into a hug and to hold him for a minute. “Is this why you were crying?” You asked laughing a little, pulling back to look at him. He just shook his head yes while looking at you. He looked like he was mentally shitting himself but you realized it was because you had not said anything to him.
“Oh shit, wait, I love you too, you dork.” You said back while giggling. You cupped the side of his face and just brushed your thumb over his cheek for a minute while looking at him.
“God, I am so in love with you Spencer.”

𖦹⋆。˚⋆ฺ the only exception.
↳ TYPE OF WRITING: drabble ↳ CONTENT CREATOR: damien haas from smosh, mentioned shayne topp, spencer agnew, trevor evarts, and courtney miller ↳ SONG REC: the only exception by paramore
"we did some great work today! get some rest, dames. tell [y/n] i said howdy!" shayne's voice was muffled slightly through the phone, but nonetheless damien cheeses the possibly biggest smile known to man.
"will do, man. don't party too hard without me. although, i'm expecting some sort of text from courtney at some ungodly hour saying how you and spence drank too much."
"hey!" the faint voice of spencer almost makes damien jump, but at least he knew now he was on speaker phone, shaking his head with a chuckle.
"love you lot, but i am home now. drink water!" damien parents his friends before hanging up on shayne, sparring him from having to hear any protests. with a sigh, he puts his car in park and turns the car off before deciding to take a moment to just... breath.
he was super excited to be home with his partner, [y/n]. well... unofficial partner... cuddle buddy? situationship even, as he had heard trevor mentioned the other day. damien didn't care for a label. labels were pressed onto society way too much. two people could live together, cuddle, sometimes kiss, and not be a couple. simple as that. [y/n] seemed to enjoy it just as much as damien, and his cats finally had another parent to love on and beg for food. no matter what really happened between him and [y/n], as long as he could still come home to them, he didn't quite care.
ㅤ ೀ ㅤ۫ ㅤ۪ㅤ۫ ㅤ ♡ ㅤ
as damien opened the door to the apartment, it wasn't a surprise only freyja padded to the door to greet her father. zelda always did prefer [y/n]. "hey, sweet girl." he mutters, setting his bag by the door and crouching down to gently scritch behind the cat's ears. he picks up the grey and white feline and quietly follow the noise of what he presumed to be his partner's favorite show. his suspicions were confirmed when he peeked his head into his room to see his sweet black and white cat curled up on [y/n]'s lap, sound asleep.
he couldn't help how his heart swelled at the sight. the form curled up on his bed was covered by the sheets of the bed, tired eyes slowly trailing to where damien stood. the tired eyes shone, and damien swore he could see every star in them. "hey, love." he says lowly, slowly approaching the bed to set freyja down to let the cat join her sister.
"hi, damien."
the sleepy voice made a soft pink blush creep up on his cheeks, sitting on the edge of the bed. his hand reaches out, gently carding his fingers through their hair. [y/n], much akin to a cat, leaned into the touch with a soft smile. they reach for the remote, pausing the show. there was a comfortable silence that fell between them, damien could tell the other was emotionally exhausted. as much as he wanted to whisk them into his arms and shower them in kisses and compliments, to downright worship them and let his emotions spill like a leaky faucet.
but he had to be okay with keeping himself at a distance, to admire form afar.
[y/n] angled their head to look up at damien, simply admiring his features. he was deep in thought, and it made them pout a bit. "what's on your mind, dames?" they say softly, scooting over as their hands slip around his bicep, pulling him to lay down. "you've had a long day. wanna watch something?" the soothing voice of [y/n] made damien blink, before letting a yawn escape his lips, stretching out.
"i was gonna shower... but now that i'm laying here, exhaustion is finally catching up with me." he mumbles, slinging an arm around [y/n]'s middle, pulling them close. the sound of their giggle makes damien angle his head to comfortably look at the other. "you're so breathtaking..." he mutters, and he knows [y/n] hears due to the deep red blush that paints itself over their cheeks.
with a squeal, they hide their face in damien's chest, and damien could stay like this forever. "no, 'm not..." they mutter softly, snuggling closer.
moments like these were damien's favorites. it was selfish, but in damien's perfect dream world, he might have been [y/n]'s only exception to their avoidance of love.
little did he know, he was their only exception.

imagine bathroom desperate sex in a barrrrr
I hope this is good and what you were hoping for. Love ya 💕
DATE NIGHT | Spencer Agnew x F!Reader | 18+ MINORS DNI
TW: Unprotected sex, public sex, light choking
Word Count: 1.1k
Description: After weeks of not being able to spend a night together, Spencer makes a plan to take Y/N out for a date night that quickly turns steamy.
Relationships are never easy. They take work and are especially hard at times when both people are busy. That’s been one of the main problems in Y/N and Spencer’s relationship. The two are so busy that the only time they ever get to be a couple is at home, when both of them are exhausted from the day.
That changes tonight. Y/N and Spencer work at Smosh but in two different departments. He’s in gaming while she’s the main producer for the pit channel. With them both working on different channels, it makes it very hard to have some couple time. So, Spencer made sure that they would have a date night tonight. It had been a couple of weeks since they had one with all the projects going on but tonight is the night.
He told her today at lunch. He had Alex take over directing a video so he could go talk to her. Sneaking up behind her in the pit pod, he wraps his arm around her as she sits at her desk with headphones on. He laughs as she lets out a squeal before seeing the arms wrapped around her.
Y/N turns in her chair and smacks his chest as he chuckles, “You’re such an ass sometimes, Spence!” She scolds while taking off her headphones. “Oh, I’m sorry I’m such an ass for wanting to see my girlfriend.” He says sarcastically, her eyes roll. “That’s not why you’re an ass. You scared your sweet, innocent, and vulnerable girlfriend. That’s why you’re an ass.” She gets out of her chair and pulls him into a hug, happy to be back in his arms even if it’s for a moment.
Spencer wraps his arms around her waist and kisses the top of her head. “You’re free tonight, right?” He asks, his eyes locked onto her’s. “Kinda…I have some editing to do but honestly if I need to I can do it tomorrow, why?” Her eyes are curious, so focused on work and other things she doesn’t pick up the subtleness of his question.
“I was thinking we could have a date night. The two of us going to get some food then maybe get drinks at a bar and finish the night at my place.” He suggests, biting his lip at the thought of a night with just them together. “That sounds amazing, babe. I would love to do that.”
And that’s exactly what they did. The two went out to a nice restaurant for dinner before heading to a small but popular bar for some drinks. The two are currently sitting at the bar, drinking and chatting while watching people. “I honestly think some people come to bars to just escape. It’s really interesting.” Y/N says as she plays with her straw.
“I don’t know if it’s to escape or to be somewhere they don’t feel judged.” Spencer pipes in, finishing off his drink. “Wanna dance?” She asks, holding out her hand. “You know I’m not the dancing type.” He chuckles but takes her hand anyway, he can’t deny her.
The two walk to the dance floor and enjoy the music. Everything starts off innocently until a Chase Atlantic song starts to play. Spencer smirks as Y/N starts to dance more suggestively. The couple dances closer together as the song continues.
Normally stuff like this doesn’t get Spencer too worked up but it’s been a few weeks since he and Y/N did anything together. He can feel himself getting harder by the second as Y/N’s ass grinds against his dick.
Looking around, he spots a bathroom before grabbing her hand and walking towards the bathroom. “Hey, hey, what’s wrong?” She asks worried, confused as to why he’s pulling them away from the crowd all of a sudden.
“Just wait.” He says before pushing open the bathroom door. He checks the stalls to see it’s empty. Pulling her into the bathroom, he locks the door before pulling her in by her neck to kiss him.
The kiss is desperate and needy, filling something the two have been needing for a couple weeks. The music is booming from the bar outside as Spencer kisses down her neck, sliding his hand up her skirt. He rubs her through her underwear, earning a moan from Y/N as he touches a spot that’s been neglected for a while.
“Spence, please, just fuck me already!” She whines, not wanting to waste any time. Who is he to deny her the pleasure she deserves? “Are you absolutely sure? I can-” She cuts him off by kissing him. A moment later she pulls back, “Do it, please.”
He doesn’t waste another second, pulling down her underwear and taking off his pants. Pushing her skirt up, he spits in hand before stroking himself a bit. Without another passing moment, he slides inside her.
“Fuck, Spencer!” Y/N practically yells when he slides in. “You feel so good, holy shit.” He groans, his hips moving desperately in and out of her. The sound of skin slapping is almost as loud as the music but thankfully still a bit quieter. Spencer keeps a brutal pace, desperate to feel his girl around him
Sex is usually slow and sensual between them but tonight it’s desperate and needy. Weeks of stress and not being able to relieve it has finally hit its peak.
Y/N grips Spencer’s hair as he continues his fast pace. Her hands are tangled in his hair as the fuzzy feeling in her brain starts to come. Something she’s only felt with Spencer, something she loves to feel everytime.
“Shit, how am I so close already?” Spencer groans, his thrusts starting to get sloppy. He hasn’t gotten this close so fast since he was in high school. “Please, don’t stop.” She begs as she feels herself get closer to her climax.
Only a few thrusts later both of them cum, looking into each other’s eyes as they breath heavily. Spencer closes the distance between them, kissing her sweetly before resting his forehead on her’s.
“Shit, I forgot a condom.” He says as he slowly pulls out. “It’s okay, I’m on the pill, remember?” She reminds him and he nods. “Yeah, sorry, still coming down.” She laughs before kissing his cheek.
“I think we should head home before someone tries to get in here and we get kicked out.” Y/N says as she puts her underwear on. “Yeah, let’s go home and get some rest.” Spencer and Y/N interlock hands and walk out of the bathroom, hoping no one sees them walking out together as they head for the door.
