As if 2023 hasn't been shitty enough so far, my cat Virtute had to be put to sleep today
#i'm not in the mood to find a whole bunch of pictures right now so here's my favorite of him lol#this cat was so fucking loved by so many people he was our party cat when we lived in marquette 10 years ago#he was the coolest little dude & named after the weakerthans/john k samson songs so now the final song 'virtute at rest' hits way harder#after everyone moved away from mqt he went to live w/ my bf's parents & was super spoiled there dude had such a happy loved life#he was getting pretty old though (he was born in either 2006 or 2007 i think?) & had congestive heart failure and pretty bad arthritis :(#just wish i had known that when i was there for christmas that it was the last time i'd be seeing him#so let us rest here like we used to in a line of late afternoon sun let it rest all you can't change let it rest & be done#goodbye virtitty kitty :(#a cat named virtute
