also I need to figure out a proper ending for the lad bc the way I've tweaked his lore, every possible ending would leave him some flavor of miserable
#hablaty#bee gee three posting#like if he became a mind flayer at the end that would be his ''failed to break the cycle'' ending#after all he lost his old hunting team to the shad*ow curse and he's dealing with survivor's guilt#as such he fears losing people especially if they'd sacrifice themselves for him#so if he acted on that fear by sacrificing himself then the sh*adow curse won over him after all even after it was lifted#but then if he allowed anyone else to sacrifice himself or he'd sacrificed orph*us to the emper*r he'd never forgive himself#kar*lach going squid would probably be the ending that would be the lightest on his conscience given that the transformation saves her#but he'd probably still resent himself for it#...also for similar reasons i really should pick a boo for him#he has a tendency to push people away out of the fears I described above#that is another thing he needs to get over
