Going off what we now know about the Black Box, and thinking to myself many times "what if an mc with no memories from before the game ends up learning more about the properties of the box and of the Interceptor and ends up stuck with Existential Crisis?"

I ended up writing a super short not even a drabble segment of a possible future sickfic idea that I may expand on when more official Plot happens

So what if everything felt hot and cold at the same time? So what if everything was getting blurry and dark, and he kept getting dizzy and almost tripped over nothing again? So what if he wanted to rest, forget about everything and let someone take care of him and tell him everything would be ok for once? He didn't need it! He saw the file, he wasn't a real person. It didn't matter if he waited until the fever was gone or if he kept training through it, it couldn't kill him, the box would cure him either way. It didn't matter what he wanted because he wasn't real and didn't need to be happy to do his job. He just needed to keep training, he just needed to beat Team Xen, he just needed to keep everyone else safe. 

If he could at least do that, maybe if he did what he was brought here to do... maybe he could pretend he was a real kid again
