I wonder if the questions of fertility rate and aging population would be more easily solved by pushing families that already have one child to have more, rather than punishing childless couples or going back on reproductive rights

#like yes we need fresh meat on the market but you also need that meat to be well-adjusted and with every opportunity to flourish #and forcing a 19 yo to carry through term an unwanted child isn't it chief #but I think having a second child should entail a relatively smaller financial burden than going from no child -> one child #add to that government investment into post-natal care (maternity and paternity leave‚ public daycare) I think that's easier than trying to #convince people that don't want children to have them?
