Adventures
Went to a parade
Watched a butterfly land unexpectedly on my leg
Went to a church bazaar at my sister's parish
Ate a handmade doughnut fresh from the fryer
Got three books at the book sale
After-dark drive down a country road

Vague daydreaming about possibilities for original stories
#adventures in august#a full day#a good day#excited about the books#i had no desire to buy books#just intended to browse#but somehow whenever i go to a sale with no expectations i find books i can't leave behind#first an illustrated copy of 'the light princess'#which was a book i longed to own a copy of but assumed i'd never find as an individual book#(especially not out in the wild)#then miss pym disposes#because september is a month for mysteries and i can't leave a tey behind#and then 'a stillness at appomattox' which i literally returned to the library two days ago#acknowledging that i'd be unlikely to finish before the deadline with all the other tbr books piling up#and now i find a copy that'll let me read at my own pace!#it felt a little miraculous tbh
