This is Volume 1 of a series of Turntablist scratch tools for creating turntable music.
One side has different percussion sounds for rhythmic cutting.
The other side has vocal samples to practice phrase cutting.
Only 10 copies made.
Each record cut one at a time on a modified Presto 6N lathe
Each track was recorded live using the drum sounds from the record.
I used a Technics 1200 turntable going into a homemade eurorack scratch mixer, The mixers output was going into two Eurorack modules (2HP Glitch and Microcell Granular Processor.
The fader movement would send a trigger out as i closed the fader. That trigger output was clocking 2HP glitch, Microcell Granular Processor, Ladik R-110 & Ladik C-310.
The Ladik R-110 would send random triggers and gates to the 2hp Glitch and the Ladik C-310.
The Ladik C-310 would send random voltages to the 2hp glitch and Microcell for modulation and movement.
This music is not on the lathe cut record.
The lathe cut record is a scratch record with sounds to create music or session with.
