Okay so I’m heading out to Normandy, France with a camper van in July with my dog 🚐🥐 And my nerdy ass finally is able to go wild and deep dive in my dead ancestor’s link in Rouen’s city archive!!! 🌞 His wife’s lineage (Anna La Riviere-Piquet) can be traced up to 1400s, and so are all my other ancestors from that same period in time. But somehow this guy (my late-late grandfather) seems untraceable :-) I suspect the Brazilian-Indian ancestor to be either his slave grandmother or grandfather, which was a scandalous thing then. Totally could be the reason his parents (and their marriage) are undocumented. Hm. Let’s go find out!
