like i think it's telling that the only fob songs i still consistently hear in the radio are all abap songs
#fob#like you can whine about centuries or irresistible all you want (i know i do) but you can't deny their staying power 🤷🏾♂️#and like an album being more 'mainstream' (whatever that is) isn't a bad thing! you should be happy abt nonfan recognizing ur band#like if i had to introduce a normie to fob the first album i would recommend is abap no doubt#is it the best album? no. is it the best introduction album to what's uniquely fob sound? hell yes#like you hook them in with abap and then you get them into the good old days albums and then the best albums (mania and smfs)#like one of my friends at work who's a big swiftie would always ask me to put the kids aren't alright bc she loves that song#and my boss (beloathed) has centuries in the middle of his '80 pop playlist#i got my other boss that hasn't listened to anything besides rock from before 1989 into the uma thurman acoustic version#and i know the day i managed to get my dad into a fob song it is gonna be an abap song#abap has that unique power of being the bridge between nonfans and fobies and that's good!!! and y'all need to put some respect into my girl#anyways happy birthday abap again stream abap or perish like the weak
