AAAHHH thank you so much, I'm really glad! 🥺💜 I love talking about them, these questions are making me vibrate:

1 - What does Ola usually write?

She has a preference for fantasy and sci-fi, and you're absolutely correct, it's always weird. The kind of weird where you're not sure if it's pure surrealism or if you just don't get it because you're dumb.

Law seems to get it though, he says her writing is "deeply allegorical and profound, a reflection of human nature through a distorting mirror." Whatever that's supposed to mean. He's proud.

2 - What kind of garden does Taiga keep?

Flowery garden! He grows some herbs and fruit trees too, but it's mostly flowers, vines, cacti, etc. He's very dedicated to his plants, it's a huge tragedy whenever something bad happens to one of them (which is not very often, because he's extremely careful).

He never kills the bugs though. If they are damaging the plants, he takes them somewhere else and feeds them (sometimes he ends up keeping them too).

3 - How did the crews react to lawlu having a baby?

There were mixed reactions for sure. The Heart pirates were shocked at first, and definitely a little worried, but overall just very happy for Law. All of them wanted to be "the cool uncle/auntie" and couldn't wait to spoil the baby (everyone was jealous of Bepo once Ola was born, because he was very obviously the favorite).

The Strawhats, on the other hand... they know Luffy enough to know there are things to be very worried about. Well, at least some of them were worried. Robin and Zoro were just like "omg congrats :)", Franky got "SUUUUUPER" emotional, but I can see Nami, Sanji and Usopp having some kind of "emergency meeting" about the news:

Usopp: Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them—a litte weirded out, yes, but happy—but, guys... A human being that's half Luffy and half Trafalgar Law? I can't be the only one who thinks this is a dangerous idea. That baby is going to be terrifying.

Sanji: Oh my god, what if the baby eats as much as Luffy?! What's going to happen to me?!

Nami: Guys, calm down, this is important! Our mission is to be positive role-models for the baby once it's born. That way, we can maybe mitigate the effects of the Trafal-Luffy genes. The child can still be normal if we try hard enough.

But once Ola is born, their only concern is "protect Pirate Princess!" The child did not, in fact, turn out normal at all, but they all still love her (and Taiga!) to death.

How would you describe Team and Win in personality wise?

SO! One of the reasons I enjoy Win and Team so much individually is that they both have nuances and layers that stand alone well and complement each other.

I'm excited to learn more about them as the series continues, and I think what I've written below is going to evolve over the next ten episodes but! based on UWMA, the unfinished novel, and the first two episodes of BU, I think I'd describe them like this:

Team's a competitive extrovert. He's the reason the traffic light gang are friends, and he also befriended the ABC gang in, like, record time. The boy has mastered the virtues of kind, disarming, and friendly. APPLAUSE FOR TEAM. He has incredible anxiety and probably PTSD and a fear of the thing he loves but the (tol) little dude can sure as fuck make some buddies along the way.

I also think Team is the kind of person who takes most things at face value and doesn't have the patience for or interest in subterfuge or nuance. A situation is what it is unless he has reason to think it's not. I think that can be mistaken for him being a little ditzy, but I think it's just that until he's invested in something, he's not interested.

Like compare how he is from one week to (presumably) just a few later when it comes to his physical relationship with Win:

The first time, he's caught off-guard and he's processing an entirely new experience. So he just asks "what's going on" and then answers Win's questions. The second time, he's proactive! He's actually done some research in the meantime! He's not as nervous anymore, and he actually hesitates a lot longer before following Win than he did the first time. He seems to understand that this isn't a "one"-night-stand anymore, so he's consciously choosing to go into new territory.

I think that's why he asks Win to clarify what's going on and what they're doing, because he doesn't know. He's not ditzy, he's just focused on a few areas (swimming, keeping his scholarship, friends) and he needs extra time to process something new and unexpected (WIN PHAWIN).

He's also good with people not just because he's friendly but because he's perceptive. Like, during the foot-washing scene, he catches on to why Win is upset with him without Win saying literally a single word. He knows Win wanted to be shown some gratitude or appreciation for taking care of him.

On the other hand, we have MY FAVORITE SON PHAWIN.

Win is pragmatic partly by nature and I think partly because he's decided it's the safest way for him to process his emotions. He's not as idealistic as Team can be because he has no firsthand experience of whimsy or the freedom from obligation to be spoiled. He's doing everything he can to get the spotlight from the oldest son and the baby of his family. He doesn't get attention or praise without fighting for it. (See above "thank you".)

His whole conversation with Team over their breakfast together is pretty revealing, I feel, because on the one hand, it's amusing that Win's like, "Okay, we have ten seconds, here's my whole deal," but when you consider that he probably doesn't get asked very often, it could be that Win's learned to share first in case no one asks.

Win's also the one who keeps reaching out to find out more about Team, and it's good that he's able to do that, because Team probably would have eaten in silence and left if Win hadn't spoken up.

Throughout the episode as well, he keeps noticing when Team shows extra interest in him.

He notices because he wants to be noticed, but what Team notices isn't what he usually stands out for. He dyed his hair and pierced his ears and tattooed his skin, he plays sports andd does well academically, but the things Team notices are things like Win's family wealth (something Team had to look up on his own) and Win's tendency to take care of others (something Team had to observe). Win closed the car door because he was so delighted and surprised that Team was so interested in him that he looked him up online.

Win's also not above directly asking Team what he has to do to spend more time with him in his room. Like, Team isn't sick, so does that mean Win have to leave? What would Win have to do to make Team want him around?

Ultimately, what makes their relationship most compelling to me is that they may have very little in common on the surface, but at the core of it:

Team sees Win

and Win sees Team

And I think that's why there's such a focus on balance and equality between them (ha) despite their gap in age and experience. They're two sides of the same coin. Hot and cold, red and blue. <3

I really love that Henriel story you wrote! The characterization for both of them was perfect, and I thought you did a really amazing job of having the prose and dialogue sound like something Stevenson would have written himself to the point where I could easily see it being a lost chapter from the novella.

Anyway, genuine question, but I saw in your recent post that you haven't read to the end of the book yet? I was wondering bc the story made me think you must have, and if you haven't, then I'm really impressed at something you got exactly right, assuming you weren't spoiled for the last chapters we haven't got to in JH Weekly yet.

I haven't read the last two (two, right?) chapters yet, no! I do know the one "big twist" that I've absorbed from pop culture about Hyde's identity, but otherwise I'm not entirely sure where the story is going from here. I'm hoping in the last two chapters we'll get some sort of insight into Jekyll's perspective, because I want to write more scenes involving him but I feel like I don't have a good enough grasp of his character yet to do so. I'm really excited to see how it ends!

I usually need to do it by parts, because when I sit for more than 20 minutes watching something, my brain starts being mean to me thinking things like I’m wasting my time and stuff. Even when I’m enjoying the show, that happens. That’s why I barely can watch 1 episode of something per day instead of binge watching a show, my brain is cruel to me :’D

Day 2

Sky Full of Stars- Yoongi x Jimin, 2/2 chapters, 4.5 k words

This was angsty, and fluffy, and just amazing. Jimin and Yoongi have such an awesome relationship here. “Jimin always told the stories in a way that had Yoongi laughing until he couldn't breathe.”

Uuuggh, that’s what people want! I know that the smut in fanfics is always fun, but little things like this make me just MELT! This is what everyone wants! Someone to laugh with and cry with, a friend AND a lover. This is one of the reasons I love this fic. It's a relationship that grew out of a friendship. It's two people coming together and fitting like puzzle pieces. I know it's all an idealized situation that may not reflect the real world, but that's what makes it beautiful! You connect with everyone's basic need to find a partner and a friend to count the stars with. Someone to connect with like that. AAAHHH, and now I'm crying! Moving on!

You know what hit me hard? This line: “When Yoongi walked closer, the big gummy smile that he’d had disappeared. He stared in disbelief as he slowly realized Jimin was not alone.” I can see it in my mind!! His full-on gummy smile slowly dissolving into a frown. Lemme just hug Yoongi real quick before smacking him upside his head, cuz a few paragraphs later he’s all “Did he...like Jimin?”

Wow! I felt that. My momma felt that. That one salty aunty I have that has the emotional range of a teaspoon felt that.

In chapter 2, after Yoongi finally confronts his feelings and gets his shit together, Jimin asks him something.

I don’t want to write it down, cuz I don’t want to spoil it for anyone...but I DIED. I MELTED ON THE SPOT. It was so simple and beautiful, it was everything!

And then comes the smut!!!! Yoongi says, “This is it. This is how I die. Tell Holly I loved him.” and honestly SAME YOONGI!

Near the very end of the fic, Yoongi says that he’s going to pick a star every night and....yeah. That line was not ok, it’s just not! Yeah, it might be a little sappy, but I’m a romantic at my very core and my heart skipped a beat right there! I can read the dirtiest smut scenes with a stoic face, but things like this have me blushing and squealing, it’s probably my biggest character flaw of all time, I swear!

Ok, some more memorable quotes I loved, but may contain SPOILERS, so look away if you haven’t read this yet.

“he would use tonight to mope to his little emo heart’s content” Why are you like this Yoongi? But also, same babe, SAME.

“Yoongi glares and finally takes a large gulp of hot black coffee, relishing the burn and bitterness. Like my soul, he chuckles to himself.” Ok so this reminds me of something I like to say about myself. I say that I like my eyeliner thick like my thighs and black like my soul. Lmao! Yoongi is my spirit animal. (I’m literally a kindergarten teacher, how dark can my soul really be? But let me live in my delusion, thanks!)

“Just remember to grovel for acting like a jealous, petty, bitch before asking him out.” Omg I love Jin!!

“I've waited six years to choke on your cock” OMG I LOVE JIMIN!!!

ahhhhh I’m loving these! Just know that I’m really not going to expect you to really do daily comments like this (although if you manage to actually do it I think my heart might explode). But yes! These are the kind of comments that writers dream of. Tell us the lines that drove you crazy, what you liked, what you didn’t like (while being nice about it) 

I think this one was one of my first attempts at a twitter fic, which still hasn’t taken off because no one follows me on there lmao. It seemed to do better on ao3 though, so I never got rid of it. I thought it was a cute little fic because I have a thing for whipped but oblivious Yoongi, apparently. 

As for suggestions...not really. It’s interesting seeing you scrape the early stuff from the bottom of the barrel here lol. Most of my old stuff were one-shots so they should be easy for you if you need to read them again or something ;)
