Another question from question anon for Alastor and your self insert. How do they cheer up the other when they are feeling down?

this is probably a boring answer compared to the other ones because i might be repeating some points but,

sometimes just being around each other is already enough

talking about what’s wrong, talking about something else entirely as a distraction, and/or holding each other

if alastor’s sad to the point of frowning my sona gives him little kisses on the corners of his mouth and that gets him smiling again, even if it’s still a small one

depending on the mood alastor Will try to cheer up my sona with dumb dad jokes- yes she’s heard them a million times already and yes they still make her burst out laughing. hEY IF IT WORKS IT WORKS

i can also imagine one singing to the other, sometimes it might turn into a duet if the one being comforted gets in the mood lmao (usually alastor)

on that note, my number 1 comfort song is “Tomorrow” from Annie so do with that info what you will :^)

i don’t know if in alastor’s comic he killed that rose on purpose or if he really can’t help killing every flower he touches, but if it’s the latter and he gets kinda down about it, my sona will put an illusion spell on one so at least it still seems very much alive. it’s not a perfect solution but the gesture’s enough to cheer him up
