i think the thing about elody and gerard's conversation this week's episode is that both of them are speaking at each other, not too each other. which is fair because think about all that they've been through both in their lives and just in the past 13 episodes really, neither of them are actually communicating and they're so within their feelings and their progression that they aren't seeing each other...

we all know the alloy is incredibly heavy and phos only managed to function with it properly at first from adrenaline, but think of the aftermath. the months they spent trying to adapt to it- the weight, the fact it probably made their whole body feel different from it seeping through the cracks. gave them a weirdly dense feeling- and akin to a growth spurt they probably discovered they could reach things they couldnt before, break things that broke them in the past. the abnormal features that came with the alloy; sweat, tears, teeth, nosebleeds, it leaking out places it probably shouldnt and making them snap at random moments only for it to glue them back together, the constant neverending cracking and out of control movement. speech starts making no sense because of the teeth in the way and they get a lisp. bursting into tears even when its not warranted- it barely listens in battle and after all causes them to become severely paranoid and constantly on guard- always tense and at the expense of their carefree nature they get to control them. never really listening or paying attention to conversations as theyre too busy trying not to burst from every angle.incredibly forgetful both from the limb loss and inattention. clothes are all messed up since they became too big for them from the gold; shirt untucked and no longer makes an effort to keep tidy, tho i think that delves into depression territory
