What’s your hcs if bird boy Jack was a grounder sparkling or an aquatic mech sparkling?
Jack will always be a bird of questionable behavior (aka he tends to completely suppress his presence and ghosts everywhere), so there are grounded (Praxians) and seafaring (Polyhexians) Seekerkin, so-
If Jack was a Praxian sparkling, then:
Still has sensory panels. Not actual door wings until he's older to utilize an alt-mode for the first time
Pale face with grey-blue optics
His frame starts off with glossy blue-black hues
Due to fae heritage, his frame picks up more bright colors as he mimicks the paint jobs of the Autobots as very young fae instinctively mimicks the features of beings they find safe around, like Optimus' blues and reds, Arcee's blues and pinks, Ratchet's confusing orange/red and whites, and so on.
The Autobots find it really cute ("Ta-da! Give it up for the most un-Praxian Praxian in this desert! OUCH")... until he mimicks the features of the Darby hound: teeth, tail, and running on all four paws, barking at everything
Praxians enjoy a good race as well as hunting and chase, and Jack is no expection
Miko and Jack play tag everywhere, both of them also LOVE it whenever one of the 'bots have enough time and fuel to let them hang out their alts so the wind slides over their wingspan.
Smokescreen and Jack have Their Time: races and victory laps. Smokey gets away by claiming it's 'culturally important' to do donuts in the desert.
While he feeds blackbirds, he's making ways to learn the tricks of other scavengers, like foxes and coyotes.
If Jack was a Polyhexian sparkling, then:
He's an uncommon mech since he has sensory panels as well. Winged Polyhexians aren't seen outside of their wetlands as their sensors are too attuned to their aquatic environment. Dryness bothers them.
Shares more similarities with Miko: large optics and pointy teeth. Jack's coloration is dark compared to Miko's bright pink.
This Jack will scrap more often with Miko. It's play-fighting and a social bonding activity between Seekerkin and aquatic entities.
The Autobots keep a better eye on him when outside since Jack tends to chatter at puddles. Cute at first... until an arm (scales glistening in the sunlight upon blue flesh with long claws tipped in a nacre sheen) reached out to snatch him.
Hums a lot. To others and to himself. Miko enjoys joining in or planting nearby to listen. Whenever she joins, it's either very sweet or... incredibly eerie as they pitch out their tune.
It's a full team effort to get Jack and Miko out of the oasis. Neither of the kids wants to leave. Tears are guaranteed as well as scratches.
If Jack is left alone submerged in water long enough, he will do some micro-transformations for fins and webbed hands. When he dries off, it melds away.
Still loves his blackbirds, but they'll enter in a bitter snack war with any seagulls that Jack befriends.
