Zayn releases his 3rd album Nobody Is Listening by RCA Records. The album features guest appearances from Syd and Devlin and is preceded by the release of the singles Better and Vibez. The album's artwork is designed by Zayn himself and is inspired by  expressionism and graffiti

The opener of the album is Calmity, which is written by Zayn and also produced by him and Unicorn Waves

Better, which is already released as a single, is, besides Zayn, written by David Brown (aka Lucky Daye), Dustin Bowie, Michael McGregor, Cole Citrenbaum and Philip von Boch Scully. The latter two also handled the production

Outside is written by Zayn, Khalid Robinson and Ryan Vojtesak, while the production's done by Charlie Handsome.

Also already released as a single is Vibez, which Zayn wrote with Rogét Chayahed, Michael Orabiyi (aka Scribz Riley), Nija Charles and Darnell Donohue. Rogét Chayahed produced the song with Scribz Riley

When Love's Around, a collaboration with Syd is not only written by Zayn and Sydney Bennett (aka Syd) but also by Nicolas Eaholtz, Jay Oyebadejo and David Rosser, while the production is handled by Nicky Davey and Jay Kurzweil

The wonderful Connection's written by Zayn of course, but also Talay Riley, Roger Kleinman and Zachary Seman. The latter two also did the production of the song

Sweat is written by Zayn, Alexander Oriet, David Phelan and Negin Djafari, while the production's done by Saltwives

Unfuckwitable is, beside Zayne, written by Nikki Flores, Rickie Tice, Kimberly Krysiuk, Dan Henig, Ruben Hernandez and Samik Ganguly. The production's handled by Red Buttonz and Symphony

Windowsill, Zayn's collaboration with Devlin, is beside the two of them, written by Natalie Dunn, Theodore Dubin, Alexander Oriet and David Phelan. Saltwives handled the production

Tightrope is written by Ernest Smith, David Harris, Jacob Durrett, Ravi and Shakeel Badayuni as well as by Zayn of course. The production's done by Ernest Smith, David Harris and Jacob Durrett

The last song of the album is River Road which Zayn wrote with Henrique Andrade. The both of them also handled the production

Tightrope Update!

I have the first draft of the first chapter. I wanted to upload a sneak peek but I need that first chapter to hold a strong base for the story. I need to probably do lots of rereads before that.

But in the mean time… I’ll share here a few songs that have helped me write this story.

re zayn's new album

Started writing this yesterday after having listened to the album a couple of times but without focusing on it, but then I decided to give it a proper listen and changed my mind quite a lot. At the beginning, it felt like one long song; there was nothing that really stood out for me - apart maybe the last song. But then listening to it more purposefully, checking out the song names, etc, it's growing on me. It's a good background music album. It's pretty chill. I think the transition to a new genre is well executed and it's a genre that fits Zayn's voice very well. On the downside, none of the songs have impressed me lyrically so far.

Watching some clips from ONO I can see how it's a good album to perform live in an intimate setting.

As always it's a bit confusing when an artist sways away from their established sound and I appreciate Zayn's new direction (hehe) but a part of me is sad we didn't get an rnb record because he had mastered the genre very well. Even if NIL was very unequal, it had some of his best songs from his repertoire (hello River Road, hi Tightrope!). However, I'm happy to see him try something new - that he's apparently been meaning to try for a long time and feels more confortable doing!

I'm not sure how often I'll feel like listening to that album, but I think I'll definitely have it in the background from time to time. And I would pay a lot of money to see it performed live!!

I saw your post about Zayn(ik others also asked u about this) and omg I still love him. Above all when he speaks Urdu or sings any Bollywood songs. His fav song is chaiya chaiya and he sang in Urdu in tightrope omg

Aw sis representation matters doesn't it! It was quite a thing to have muslim representation in western pop music like that, and I can't only imagine how important it was for the desi community especially. If you look back at it the premises the band was built upon were very smart (and frankly terribly racist as well if you think he had to convey the image of the brown kid with certain stereotypes attached...ugh). I'm glad he's embracing it because the result in music is...so beautiful. It was great that he came back with his first album after 1d and had a little thing in urdu like "Intermission: Flower" in there because it was sooo beautiful wasn't it. I still get goosebumps up to this day after years. and the extended version? (this one) aaaah unreal. His voice suits urdu so much and frankly he has one of the best voices out there, it's heaven!! I know many said his pronunciation here wasn't the best (eeh, diaspora things you know) but my friends keep saying he's got so much better in Tightrope? so really so good for him! His cover of Allah Duhai Hai is also on repeat for me sis, so good!!!

I think Fool For You is incredibly underrated! And Blue just really hurts my heart to listen to, poor zehn.

You've got the incredibly sappy ones like There You Are and Natural (it's so good to see how his emotions have progressed through his writing). And then there's also Tightrope! I did an analysis on it a while back if you're interested!

Zayn just has a way with words that's hard to come by!

Hopefully Liam will be able to put out his own music that details his side of the relationship, because at the moment it seems that weight falls heavily on Zayn's shoulders 😅
