#Yup that's a 4 week old fracture. No point putting it in a boot now. Bye!

Bodies have no sense of logic. I developed a stress fracture in a metatarsal while tree planting and kept working, then a couple days later fell directly onto it and worsened it significantly. Once it could bear weight again after a few days I proceeded to keep walking around on it without seeking treatment, multiple times trying to tough it out and work (which entails long hours of hiking) and only really realized that I genuinely had broken my foot and should take it easy a month later. Then shortly after I took a little tumble at my family cottage and fractured a bone in my wrist, promptly got it treated and have been babying it since. Guess which one of these injuries healed perfectly in 6 weeks and which is a long slow recovery, still with a ways to go at 14 weeks? It's not the one that recieved no treatment.
#Went to a fracture clinic about my foot at 4 weeks and they were like.#Yup that's a 4 week old fracture. No point putting it in a boot now. Bye!#And I'd never know it was broken now. Feels perfect.#Not trying to make any point about treating fractures being bad that would be ridiculous. It's just funny that it worked out this way
