Basically Blake just wants to "fix" someone to fill her romanticized savior complex and her endgame is YANG... which makes it that Yang was the Adam Blake can manipulate then...

It does certainly read that way, especially when you consider how her love interest suddenly switched from Sun to Yang the moment the latter came back despite having no romantic intent towards her in the Beacon era. All her romantic coded moments (prom makeover reveal, the slo-mo wink, the fond eyerolls, the blushes ((rwby's signature romantic sign))) are with Sun

It's also interesting when you remember just how similar Yang and Adam are: nearly identical semblances, tempers, charge-through philosophies, violence first questions never, and both became disabled in traumatic ways. Definitely makes Blake seem like she's trading one model for a slightly different one

I wouldn't call Blake manipulative in this regard though. Her version of love-fixes-all seems to be supporting people until they better themselves, which is fine if that's not the sole reason you're attracted to them. You're supposed to care about someone as a whole, not just their flaws or trauma. It's too passive to be manipulative and I doubt she's even aware of how damaging it is to both parties to have this mentality

I really wish the comics had dismantled that shitty speech because way too many women are told that it's their job to fix broken men and waste years of their life on someone who just does not care to improve whatsoever. Too many movies and books, especially YA books, push this narrative without understanding how they're priming girls and women to be abuse victims. Love can't fix anything that isn't willing to change
