These two kids are Hamza (the oldest) and Qusai (the youngest).
Their mother shares this video and bids them goodbye. They were both killed by Israeli bombardment 5 days ago. She says:
[Two days before Hamza and Qusai were killed, hamza asked me: "mom, when we die, where will I go?" And I told him: "you will be a bird in heaven, my love." He said: "and Qusai?" "Just like you inshallah."
And indeed, two days later, he left and took his brother with him. It's like he was preparing me for saying goodbye to both of them. Heaven is more beautiful than any place on this Earth, habibi. We will meet and be reunited one day, me, your dad and you two].
Our kids don't deserve to die already thinking about what will happen to them, they don't deserve to die already terrified, anticipating their death because the world failed them and decided their lives mean nothing. We are not numbers. Remember their names and their stories.

Body-cam video shows Illinois officer fatally shooting Black woman in face
White deputy Sean Grayson shot Sonya Massey, who called police in fear of a home intruder, after boiling water dispute
Massey, whom her daughter confirmed was paranoid-schizophrenic, had called police because she thought someone was trying to break into her home. When police arrived, they began looking into Massey’s home with flashlights, a neighbor, Cheryl Evans, told the Guardian. Evans wondered why police had not knocked on her door, as they typically have done in the past when searching for suspects. Eventually, Grayson, who is white, and his partner entered the home where they began speaking to Massey. After an initial discussion and request for Massey’s driver’s license,Grayson spotted a pot of boiling water on the stove and ordered Massey to remove it to avoid starting a fire. In doing so, Massey asks the officers – who visibly distance themselves from her as she goes to handle the pot – why they moved away from her. “Where you going?” she asks them. “Away from your hot steaming water,” Grayson answers, with a laugh, before Massey responds: “Away from the hot steaming water? Oh, I’ll rebuke you in the name of Jesus.” With his gun drawn, Grayson closed the distance between himself and Massey, who was beginning to kneel behind a counter with her hands up. “You better fucking not, I swear to God I’ll fucking shoot you right in your fucking face,” Grayson warned. Massey can be heard saying, “I’m sorry,” as Grayson continues to advance. “I’m sorry,” she says again as Grayson fires three shots, striking her with a bullet below the eye that exited from the back of her neck. As Massey lay dying on her kitchen floor, Grayson says he’ll go get his medical kit to render aid. “That’s a headshot. She’s done,” Grayson says before going to get the med kit. As the pair stand there with their guns still drawn, Grayson says: “I’m not taking a bullet out of her fucking head,” then points out that the water from the pot had reached his feet. “What else can we do?” Grayson asks his partner. “I’m not taking hot boiling water to the fucking face.”
[...]
Massey’s death carries on a troubling legacy of racial violence in Springfield: Massey’s family said she is a descendant of William Donnegan, a Black man who was lynched by a white mob but survived during the city’s infamous 1908 race riots that took 17 Black lives over a two-day period in mid-August of that year. As a result of the violence and carnage, a group of white and Black Americans banded together to create the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Massey’s family said that the irony of having to reach out to the NAACP for help after her killing is not lost on them.

I love hazbin hotel. It’s made with hard work and love and I think that kind of magic is invulnerable.
I look forward to seeing Viv, Spindlehorse, and the whole team show us the beautiful project they’re making.
I want to hear the creator tell her story. 🪄💞

I've seen a few posts about women and pants now and many of them are very good, and not to nitpick those posts or downplay religious sexism or anything, but I have to emphasise:
Somebody who DOESN'T live in a controlling religious country/cult/family is also affected by sexism. We all know that, right? Secular parts of the first world also have opinions about how women dress, including when it comes to trousers, especially in childhood and in institutions like schools and the workplace
Me and many people my age (20s) remember being forced into skirts, punished and shamed by parents & teachers & peers & possibly then bosses about what we wear not being feminine enough, and it wasn't by deeply religious sects. Many updates to dress codes are very new and sexist views are still in place in many institutions. Normalised societal misogyny wants women (and people they want to treat as women) to dress femininely, down to what KIND of pants they're allowed to wear (compare a pink top and jeggings to mens jeans and tell me these two women are treated the same. Hating women in pantsuits is still a sexist office joke today, and even those outfits are feminine compared to male suits, which raise eyebrows when worn by women). The women I know who wear trousers regularly are literally otherwise feminine, and all wear dresses to events.
I know trousers have become much more normalised over the past few decades in secular society (yay!! the result of many many years of effort and lawbreaking) but let's not be absolute when we talk about the pants concept lol. Especially within a larger conversation about female/transmasc/intersex/transfem masculinity and social perceptions, especially in an age of rising fascism
#you know. misogyny?#transandrophobia#you're telling me only muslims and christians experience pants based sexism. in front of my salad?#i did not have screaming arguments with my nonbeliever non church attendee parents in the 2000s to have you lot --#sexism is Not strange or rare or fringe#pretend me wearing pants from then on was societally allowed. i got a talking to at school about pants.#i was scared i would have to wear a skirt at high school in the 2010s. thankfully the one i went to was more progressive#getting clocked as the only 'girl' in class wearing trousers without at leasts wearing a skirt over it#having older female AND male relatives pick up on the lack of a skirt/dress at events#yes some people think it's normal. and some people think being gay is normal. and some people dgaf if you're foreign or whatev#but existing some ways means you have certain experiences and there are certain risks hanging over you lol#just making this post bc some of you live in some extremely progressive USA city and have forgotten normal people exist /lighthearted#mum still shows me a polka dot dress i used to wear as a baby and asks me why i don't wear dresses. some dumb dress shes kept for 20 years#she wears trousers and dungarees sometimes. but that's the thing#pants are a temporary allowance. if that's all you wear then they hate that. you have to be Feminine when they demand#your wardrobe still carries sexist necessities before people start to look at you funny#if i went to an event like a wedding in a suit people would talk (closeted to most ppl irl)#anyway.#sending telepathic strength to anyone surrounded by so called progressives who have opinions on how they dress 👉👁️👁️👈

I'm just gonna say it. To the rest of the world, the hatred Republicans have for women in the USA is starting to give off Taliban vibes.

Gosh, i hate that post going around that's is so fucking USA centrist that says "you MUST move out and stop living with your parents or you will never get character development" or something like that
And im just
Fuck you? I LOVE living with my parents (with my mom specifically). If i EVER lived alone i would have killed myself at this point. Even if i wasnt as sick as i am now i would have never EVER wanted to leave their side
Saying "you must live on your own or else" it's so fucking USA bullshit. Im sorry you have learned that in your culture and i pity you and that you have to have that mindset. Or that you have to make posts with reasons as to why "living with your parents is a boss fight" kinda thing.

I loved this scene so much. This is the scene where Donna says to Harvey you're such a wuss. First of all, I'm not saying I did but I'm also not saying I didn't take a lot of personal satisfaction from Donna telling Harvey that he's a wuss. But she also gets to shush him while he waits while she's on the phone talking to Norma. So she's super in charge of this moment.
SR: What I love about it is that Gabriel brings this totally boyish side of Harvey to this blip of a scene. I mean, he comes in and sits on her desk and is cowering, scared of Norma, and we have to assume that there's all this intimacy between the two of them because there's all this intimacy between the two of them because there's such a lack of status at play between Harvey and Donna and this is where I needed direction.
I was like, wait, hang on. Really? You guys want me to just shush him? He's my boss? Tell him he's a wuss? That was a big step I think. It seems really tiny but it totally reframed my idea of their relationship. That she's the one who's saying, I'm talking or I'm listening to something or I'm in charge of this moment or what is wrong with you? That she's that person.
PJA: Had you not shushed him or done things like that to him before this?
SR: No. I remember because it came up in the finale when we were shooting the finale of season one in a scene that has been cut where she walks into a room and she says, what the hell is wrong with you? She walks in like that. I remember being like wow they have a history. She is not his employee. They started out in a different place if she's somebody who starts out talking to him like that.
Gabriel did so much to create that by coming in like the cowering boy who desperately needed Donna to call his mommy who was Norma and take care of it for him.
It was one of those scenes where somebody said we're just going to do this quick. I think it might get cut. But it does file this under, this is where Gabriel really on his side of the street made Donna who she was by coming in with a strong need and with low status.
PJA: Quick reframe - you made Donna who she was. You don't need no man making Donna.
