A pretty mix -

I have been looking around for some of the plant at the bottom, Purple Loosestrife. It is an invasive plant around here but there is much less growing this year for some reason.

The small blue flowers just above that is Chicory.

Above those are Wild Carrot. I usually am not lucky enough to catch a bee on a flower while I am photographing but it happened today.

Just right of center is a black spot on the Purple Loosestrife. It is hard to see, I wish I had my Canon with me but this was just a quick trip to the store. This was a wild area behind the store.

I found another field planted in sunflowers this morning. More pics when I go back.

10/11/24-Beautiful yellow autumn leaves on the way to Lakeside Country Park, Common Gull my first sighting of one at Lakeside this season always an exciting moment if the same one or two that drop in that's five winters in a row I've seen them here now and Black-headed Gull at Lakeside Country Park and sky, Magpie and moon at home on a nice day with some welcome sun returning.

Stunning Green Woodpecker views, Ring-necked Parakeet, Buzzard, Goldcrest, Great Tit, Coot, wild carrot, oxtongue, sow thistle, herb-Robert, red clover, petty spurge, common mallow, creeping thistle and green alkanet leaves, fleabane seed heads and old man's beard, privet berries and rose hips and pleated inkcap mushroom were other highlights at Lakeside with snapdragons looking nice in the sun, rose hips and Goldfinches enjoyed at home and House Sparrow nice to see at both and Pied Wagtail going over the green out the front as I got back in. A lovely end to another special and relaxing weekend.
