Thanks @chaosfairy18 (for the tag and the suggestions :))
Other suggestions were Hermes (yes the god, but I've read too many greek myths about Hybris to say I'm like a god), the Mad Hatter, Wicky the Viking (I'm not even sure if anyone besides German children knows about him), and a duck I don't know the name of.
@chaosfairy18 also told me that I totally would hit a Titan with a hairbrush and I felt very flattered by that.
For the tags:

Hi! May I ask, what is/or where did you get your icon???
I ADOREEE it!
it's from an old dutch stop motion kids show called de fabeltjes krant. my icon is of meneer de uil (mister owl) who reads all the articles in the paper and tells the stories of the shenanigans that go iwth it.

A random question, that has probably been asked, and shall be asked again, but....where did the name "Flake" come from? I've seen so many answers and no sources anywhere...do you have any clue? Has he mentioned it in any interview?
If not, I shall simply have to keep wishing I meet him one day.
Thank you!
Hi! Yes, actually Flake talked about it more than once (he's probably being asked about it even more 😊)
Here's a link to a podcast where Flake was a guest and he had a few theories about it.
And he also wrote about it in one of his books, and this is the version that he tells most often, that it's from the 70's cartoonseries Wicky the Viking 🌺

if you get this, answer w/ five random facts about yourself and send it to the last seven blogs in your notifs. anon or not, doesn't matter, let's get to know the person behind the blog! No pressure though! 🌻
Luuuuuuuune
1. The first movie I remember watching in theaters is Wickie und die starken Männer, a German movie about a scrawny little viking boy who comes up with crazy ideas
2. The streamer I have the most channel points for on twitch is Foolish with 229.8k channel points
3. The game I have played the most is The Last of Us Part II with over 30 playthroughs at this point
4. The first fic I ever read was a Sabriel omegaverse fic and I was traumatized
5. When I talk to people on discord I often find it hard to remember who is who especially if they have the same color. I constantly find myself mixing up @affixjoy and @purpleenma for example, to the point that I am putting some stuff in their notes so I don't embarrass myself

Flake's edition
Day sixteen - most surprising fact
Tumblr media
Well, I have to admit, that I have a bit problem with this one. Maybe I am just in this fandom for too long, but non of the facts I can think about, is surprising for me. Like, of course he is a cat person, of course he loves old cars and had old cars rental business. So, I will add some random facts I like =)
I don't know where my name Flake comes from. Actually my name is Christian Lorenz, but from childhood I have been called Flake, I can't even begin to find out exactly who started it. There was such an animated film 'Wickie', where the Vikings experience some of their numerous adventures. There is some guy called Soundso of Flake because there is a place in Norway called Flake. It has been like this since I was five, even before I went to school. And at some point everyone said Flake, that happened very quickly.
From book Feeling B - Mix mir einen Drink (text and photo of Flake with his older brother), big thanks for translation to @notafraidofredyellowandblue

Another fun fact is about Flake's first tattoo. I also still laugh when I see his tattoo, I just wish he would share how and why he got his second one, Sunny. Also, he look so proud on this photo =D
I also had my tattoo done backstage. My colleagues just shook their heads when they saw the result. I wanted it to look as if it had been done in the GDR prison, but the tattoo artist didn't understand that. He didn't speak German and didn't know what a GDR was supposed to be. There were only people tattooed there who were in prison, and so they looked justifiably dangerous. I did not look dangerous. When I saw the picture on my arm, I laughed. I still feel that way when I pass a mirror.
From his book Heute hat die Welt Geburtstag (btw, if you did not read this book, highly recommended)

Flake about his ear get pierced from interview with Frankfurter Rundschau
I had my ears pierced in the dressing room of the apprentice workshop and shot in homemade earrings. I thought the whole town was looking at me. In truth, nobody took any notice of me, but I thought I was the craziest person in the whole neighbourhood. That's the feeling that carries you through the day.
And about making jewelry for money, interview from Strassenfeger.
"When we were in Hiddensee, we needed nothing but money for schnapps. We peeled potatoes and got something to eat in return." To make money, they made earrings out of silver wire that Feeling B vocalist Aljoscha Rompe picked up in the West. "The people in Hiddensee snatched the stuff out of our hands, they stood in line, and we had to work extra slowly so that the price of 15 marks for a pair of earrings was justified. We were doing really well."

tag nine people to get to know better
I was tagged by @hipstersbleedroses - thank you :)
three ships: Malcolm/Ollie (TTOI), Tom/Greg (Succession), Ian/Paul (HIGNFY)
first ever ship: I actually just thought about this recently...when I was a child I was really into the cartoon Vicky the Viking (aka Wickie und die starken Männer) and I was definitely sort of shipping two of the vikings. Namely Tjure and Snorre, who had some sort of weird love-hate relationship going on in the show. Yeah, I see a pattern there because that's still one of my fave ship dynamics...and this also shows that I started with the gay ships at an early age haha
last song: Tomboy - (G)I-DLE
last movie: Gamera vs Guiron (1969)
currently reading: Only When I Laugh by Paul Merton, The Decade in Tory by Russell Jones
currently watching: HIGNFY S59, Taskmaster NZ, Till The End Of The Moon
currently consuming: lemon tea
currently craving: idk...nothing really I think
I'm tagging @bloomberrypint @csswingandeasy @deadsince1973 @francis-mulcahys-angels @occasionallynotwatchingroger @dulciecollins @badkruka @eccentricthornback @featherlesswings
(only if you want to, of course!)

Bruh, i'm so old, the first anime I saw on TV where I did not know that it was an anime was "Chiisana Baikingu Bikke", an Austrian-Japanese cooperation and adaption of the Swedish children's book "Vicke Viking".
In German, this anime was called "Wickie und die starken Männer" (Wickie and the strong men) and there was an entire thing where some people couldn't hear the lyrics of the German opening song properly so they thought Wickie was a girl. Because Wickie is a small boy character so of course he was voiced by a woman.
This is because there's a line in the opening that goes "zieh fest das Segel an" (pull the sail tight) and some people misheard this as "sie fässt das Segel an (sic!)" (she touches the sail - but grammatically wrong).
Regardless to say, if you saw even one episode of this show, you'd know Wickie was a boy because his dad was in the picture and he definitely called him "son". Unless the angle was to deny that this kid might be trans but I don't think the issue is this complicated because this anime originally came out in 1974, so the ignorance stems more likely from not really watching the show because people had the TV on for their kid to watch some cartoons.
Anyway, this is the story of the first anime I can remember watching. It's not flashy. It's just a little show about a viking boy and his viking family and the adventures they go on.

Hei, hei Vili! Hei Vili, hei!
I tried to draw them in the style of a TV show I grew up with (Vicky the Viking / Wickie und die starken Männer). I think I managed to achieve this with Vili. Eivor maybe not that much, though his hair is inspired by Ylva, Vicky's mother. 😅

Is it known when Flake and Richard started using their current names?
Flake talked about his nickname in this podcast it was already used from a very early age, Flake himself stuttered a bit and had difficulty saying his own name (Christian), and a kid at summercamp came up with 'Flake' which originated from a kid's tv show 'Wicky The Viking' (very popular in the 1970's)
Richard's nickname 'Scholle' is also something that originated in childhood when he would wander about and often visit other people in his village, his dad came up with that name (after a title of a children's book).
Richard actually changing his name from the original Sven to 'Richard' only happened much later when he was an adult, and felt everybody should have the choice to change their name if they felt it didn't suit them. On this album leaflet of one of his pre-Rammstein bands 'Das Elegante Chaos', it still is Sven Kruspe. I think this was in 1989. In Rammstein he always used Richard (well Richard Zven) as first name, only varied in last name after his short-lived marriage
