I retained the fact that the Ned from Try Guys fiasco showed a lot of people's asses in that people assume everything an online creator shows in their life is 100% accurate and also the fact that something as interpersonal as cheating don't have clear public signs.
Like i get people being sad that their favorite creator turns out to be shitty. But instead of learning the lesson of that you don't personally know the creator so don't put all your stocks on them, it somehow comes out as, "Now I know truly 100% accurate signs that someone I follow is a bad person, which it totally wouldn't set me up for failure."
it feels like every time a random male celebrity is outed as an abuser, social media armchair psychologists want to use that as proof that like. painting your nails, or dying your hair or openly loving you're wife or being a scorpio or whatever completely begin trait that particular celebrity had are secret signs that someone's a secret abuser, and like i genuinely don't know where to go, if people aren't gonna realize that literally any celebrity is capable of "secretly being a shitty person" because you do not know these people.
#Shout out to that one post during the try guys scandal#Which tries to equate that any time someone refers to their partner as their status to them in convo instead of their names#Is a indication that person dosen't value their partner#Which is utter bullshit because there is tons of reasons why you wouldn't be name dropping your partner
