Premise: Seventy years after the events of Silver Snow, Byleth and Claude reunite on a farm in Almyra.
Rating: Teen and Up (old man angst; language; Tense Situations)
Chapters: 4 of 7 (6 with an epilogue)
Words: 16k (53k cumulative)
Chapter Summary: In the wake of an assassination attempt on his son, the King of Almyra, Khalid does his best to keep up morale and maintain an air of normalcy. But between fears of a potential attack on the farm and the unrelenting rains that threaten to cause disaster for the nearby village, he's got his work cut out for him.
That's not to mention all of the strange happenings surrounding the professor recently. It makes sense that people would start asking questions when memories conflict with reality, or when age-old afflictions suddenly abate. Although they aren't demanding them yet, they'll want answers soon, but how can Khalid tell them the truth when he doesn't know it himself?
The professor is changing, too, and as much as Khalid hates to admit it, he's growing afraid of who she's becoming—or whatever it is she's been this whole time.

However, the winners of CYL3 (2019), CYL4 (2020), and CYL7 (2023) don't have these bonus quotes. The reasons, if the directors or higher ups of the localization team forgot or they weren't too high priority for the time, are unknown. Note
I have an idea (although this may be an AU 😅); Byleth is pregnant, Felix is beyond happy and tries to help her when he can. He is extremely jelly his father is even more gentle and seems to know a thing or two (cuz you know, he had two kids xD), until Byleth confronts Felix and tells him that they are all a family
(So I did make it more fluffy than confrontational haha!!)
He was glad that his father was still present, and was thrilled when you revealed you were two months pregnant with your firstborn. Felix was overjoyed, even if his facial expressions rarely showed it.
Despite that, you knew full well how absolutely thrilled he was. He’d wanted to be a father since before you were married, as it was a topic you discussed quite often.
The only problem was that he didn’t feel like he was particularly good at it. The baby wasn’t even born yet but he had few ideas of how best he could help you, and worse yet, he was awkward and insecure about trying to find the best methods to care for his expecting wife.
His father, however, seemed utterly natural at it. Having sired two sons himself, Rodrigue was exceedingly capable at providing you with assistance and recommendations on how to make the pregnancy go smoothly. Felix would watch, jealous, as you tittered away happily with the head Fraldarius, enjoying his company more than himself.
Though to admit he was jealous of his father was simply out of the question. He would never do such an embarrassing thing. Rather he would seethe in the background, just as he was doing today.
The Archbishop was enjoying a rare moment of respite, taking a walk through the monastery gardens with her husband and father-in-law. It didn’t take long for the walk to become more of Felix following behind the two of you, glaring sharply and listening intently while you discussed the latest happenings of your pregnancy.
“I fear the swelling has already begun, Rodrigue.” You sounded so tired, which was somewhat upsetting to your husband. “It’s hard to keep focus in meetings when it feels as though my feet will burst from these slippers.”
“They’re not what you usually wear, are they?” His father replied, as gentle and introspective as always. “They seem to be a different pair than what I recall seeing the Archbishop in.”
“They are- Felix bought them for me recently to help with the discomfort.” You nodded back to your husband, flashing him a small smile. “But I fear I’ve outgrown them already; why must they be so uncomfortable?”
“I can assure you, though it may feel akin to your body growing exponentially, it’s simply the sensation that accompanies the mild swelling. Enclosed shoes tend to be restrictive, despite shoemakers’ best efforts to fashion comfortable slippers for those faced with your situation.”
“What would you recommend, then?” You asked, feeling Felix’s sharp glare somehow intensify on your back. He was embarrassed he made a mistake.
“I recall open-toed sandals were a favorite of Felix’s mother, aprticularly when she was carrying him. Glenn was a little gentler on her body, for whatever reason. But having some sturdy, open faced shoes like that should be a marked improvement.”
“Where do you think I can get-”
“I’ll take care of it,” Felix snapped, drawing both your attentions forward. He  flushed slightly, glancing away “I mean, you’re pregnant. You don’t need to go into town. I’ll get them for you, so just tell me what kind of shoes you want.”
“You know I’m not picky,” You started, until you recognized the angry glimmer all but begging you to help him out for a second.
You stifled a laugh.
“I’ll think up some ideas for sandals, then.”
The rest of the walk was somewhat pleasant although you did share a knowing smile with your father-in-law, feeling Felix pouting behind you.
He was already overprotective, but he wasn’t sure what to think about his father jumping in and giving you some much needed advice.Mostly because he felt like it shouldn’t be coming from Rodrigue at all, but that it was knowledge he didn’t have any experience with at all.
And he definitely hated that.
“If I may be candid, I’m afraid that’s not the only thing that’s been causing me discomfort.” You continued, earning Felix’s immediate attention.
“Of course, Byleth. I can assure you that there is nothing to be ashamed of, asking for assistance with your pregnancy. And I am certain it won’t be anything I haven’t dealt with, before.”
“All right, well…I have been dealing with some swelling and discomfort in my breasts, too.”
Felix nearly face planted into the path when you said that to his father.
Dear gods, you were telling his father that your breasts were-
“Not to worry. When she entered the second trimester with Glenn, we discovered that she had severe discomfort and pain for several days while we waited for the doctor to come to our home. Thankfully we were given plenty of helpful advice.”
“Father, please!” Felix cut in, all but throwing himself between his wife and guardian, his face alight with an agitated blush. “We can consult with a midwife- the last thing I want to hear is you giving my wife advice about her-”
“We don’t have to summon him and wait days for him to make it up the mountain, Felix.” You cut him off gently, not understanding what he was so upset about (because why would you?). “Please, Rodrigue, continue.”
“Very well,” He laughed, “There are a few surefire methods to easing your pain. I recall purchasing a number of braziers that did not have wiring or lace; the feel of them can cause discomfort at this stage of pregnancy. Something with cotton, or something more firm that can provide better support.”
“Excellent, that’s more than enough-”
“I would also recommend some more loose clothing; I’m certain Seteth would be glad to arrange for a new wardrobe for the expectant Archbishop. And if those things do not help enough, a cold compress rested on your chest will be quite effective- and, ironically, if the cold doesn’t help, a warm bath should be able to help instead!”
“That’s all excellent advice.” You beamed at him, looking far more relieved than before. Felix stared at you, in utter disbelief. “I wish I had written it down…but it shouldn’t be hard to remember.”
“I’ll take care of it,” Felix snapped, “But I think this conversation is over. Byleth, we should go.”
“Oh, but I wanted to ask him about my cervi-”
“We’re leaving!!”
He grabbed your wrist, tugging you away from Rodrigue and all but storming down the path, leaving the man in the dust.
Rodrigue watched after his flustered son with a fond smile; that boy could get so worked up over the smallest things, even all these years later.
-------------------------
You allowed him to pull you along for a few minutes, at least until you were halfway up the stairs and headed back to your bedroom.
“Felix?”
He didn’t answer, jaw clenched tight as he marched up the stairs.
“Felix, please slow down. My feet are…”
When you trailed off he paused, shoulders stiff as though he suddenly remembered the state of you. He turned around, checking you over and feeling a pang of guilt when he saw you were panting, clearly uncomfortable.
“Oh. Right. Sorry.” He stopped, kneeling in front of you. He took your foot in his hands, carefully slipping the shoe from your heel and tucking it into his pocket. You watched as he switched to the other foot, working methodically and very, very carefully so as not to press on your feet and hurt them further.
“Thank you,” Your whisper was met with a bashful nod.
“Let me carry you the rest of the way.” He lifted you to his chest, very gently so as not to risk harming you any further. The sigh of relief that escaped was quite involuntary, but it did make him feel a little better knowing he was helping.
He kicked the door shut behind him, lowering you onto the bed. He made sure you were comfortable before he relinquished his hold.
“Is there anything else you need? Are you feeling hungry, or tired?”
“A bit of both, but also…do you think you could get me a cold compress, like your father mentioned?””
Felix hesitated some, his lips drawn into a thin line. “You sure you want that?”
“It sounded promising. And my breasts are more uncomfortable after that walk…I must not have as supportive undergarments as I thought.”
“Y-yeah, well, it’s not like we can just take his word for it, I mean what does he know?”
“He raised two children, of which you are one.”
“That was over two decades ago! His information is outdated, at best. We can’t trust a thing he says! Just let me call a midwife in, and while we wait I can draw a warm bath for you.”
“Felix…what’s on your mind?” You leaned back into the pillows, eying your husband warily. He was clearly upset, as he had been since the garden walk.
His shoulders fell some, and he looked away, clearly indicating that he was indeed troubled.
“It’s nothing. I’m just…I’m just being stupid.”
“Well it’s not ‘nothing’ if you’re bothered by it.” You held out your hand, gesturing for him to come back to your side. “Tell me what you’re worried about.”
With a soft sigh, he returned to your side and took your hand, holding it awkwardly. He sank down onto the bedside, earning a squeeze of his fingers.
“Out with it.”
“I…didn’t like Father talking to you. A-about that stuff.”
“Why?”
“Because it made me feel frustrated. Like I- like I should know those things! I’m the one who’s expecting a baby. I feel like it’s not his place to talk about things like that, especially not with you! If he really wanted to help, he could at least save us both embarrassment and just talk to me directly.”
You covered his hand with both of yours, smiling softly at your agitated little panther. “Felix…there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. We are both  new to this. You’d think I would know how to remedy these things, since it’s happening in my body, you know?”
“That’s ridiculous- you’ve never been pregnant before, so how are you supposed to just know how to- …oh.”
He cut himself off when he caught your smile, just slightly more smug than usual.
“You’re going to be a father for the first time. Nobody expects you to know everything, and I wouldn’t put that pressure on you, either. I don’t want you to get frustrated because you might be unsure. We’re learning together, Felix.”
“I…I suppose.” He huffed, “But…even you have to admit that asking my father about your breasts is incredibly odd.”
The laugh that escaped was bright, enhanced when he shot an embarrassed glare at you. “If it really bothers you, I can ask for a midwife’s help. But you’re going to have to let me consult with him when there isn’t one nearby.”
“Or you can just write down the questions and I’ll give them to him.”
“Or, you know…I can have a little time with my father-in-law and ask him questions directly.” You cupped his face in your hands when his frown deepened, drawing him into your sweet gaze. “But I will reserve more delicate questions for the midwife so you’re more comfortable. Is that reasonable?”
He tilted to kiss your palm, “That is reasonable.”
“Good. Now if you don’t mind, I could really use that cold compress because I’m incredibly sore.”
“Yeah.” He stood, planting a kiss on your forehead before letting you go. “I’ll be quick.”
“Thank you, my love.”
Felix would indeed make quick work to get the cold compress, which did wonders for your soreness. It did give Felix a reason to reach out to his father for a few more tips and tricks, and a bashful apology to his father for being so flustered when he was helpful.
At least, until you received the letter stating the midwife had been called to a sudden birth on the other side of the mountain and would likely be gone until right before your delivery…
Rodrigue being your temporary long-term consultant was a delightful surprise to you, though Felix had to work hard to suppress how mortified he felt. Luckily he was easy to placate; nothing plenty of kisses and letting him put his head in your lap and mope couldn’t fix.

Byleth, when the blue lions asked in class why did she become a mercenary: A man is driving down the road and breaks down near a house. He goes to the house, knocks on the door, and says, “My cart broke down. Do you think I could stay the night?” The mercenary band graciously accept him, feed him dinner, even fix his cart. As the man tries to fall asleep, he hears a very strange sound. The next morning, he asks the mercenary band what the sound was, but they say, “We can't tell you. You're not a mercenary.”
The man is disappointed but thanks them anyway and goes about his merry way. Some years later, the same man breaks down in front of the same house. The mercenary band again accept him, feed him, and again fix his cart. That night, he hears the same strange noise that he had heard years earlier. The next morning, he asks what it is, but the mercenary band reply, “We can't tell you. You're not a mercenary.”
The man says, All right, all right. I'm dying to know.
If the only way I can find out what that sound was is to become a mercenary, how do I become a mercenary?
The mercenary band reply, “You must travel the earth and tell us how many blades of grass there are and the exact number of sand pebbles, when you find these numbers, you will become a mercenary.” The man sets about his task. Some 54 years later, he returns and knocks on the door of the monastery.
He says, I have traveled the earth and have found what you have asked for. There are 145,236,284,232 blades of grass and 231,281,219,999,129,382 sand pebbles on the earth.
The mercenary leader reply, “Congratulations. You are now a mercenary. We shall now show you the way to the sound.”
The mercenary band lead the man to a wooden door where the head mercenary says, “The sound is right behind that door.” The man reaches for the knob, but the door is locked.
He says, “Real funny. May I have the key?” The mercenary leader gives him the key, and he opens the door. Behind the wooden door is another door made of stone.
The man demands the key to the stone door. The mercenary leader gives him the key, and he opens it, only to find a door made of ruby. He demands another key from the mercenary leader, who provide it.
Behind that door is another door, this one made of sapphire, and so it went until the man had gone through doors of emerald, silver, topaz, and amethyst.
Finally, the mercenary leader says, “this is the last key to the last door.”
The man is relieved to know that he has finally reached to the end.
He unlocks the door, turns the knob, and behind that door he is amazed to find the source of that strange sound.
But I can't tell you what it is because you're not a mercenary.
I was positively HOOKED on this, Anon. How dare you end it on the cliffhanger?! (Good job)
But all jokes aside (and the possibility that Byleth might've been bamboozled into joining up with Jeralt with that same story), I can just imagine Byleth deliving this entire block of text with that calm, almost monotone voice. It'd be kinda soothing...

Another snippet of Dimitri's suffering post "Possibilities," where he glimpses an S Support future with Byleth in Hopes. On this episode: Sylvain "helps" His Majesty score a date.
💚💙
"I saw some fishing poles with your gear," Sylvain said. It was said in a perfectly casual tone, but after a lifetime of knowing the man, Dimitri knew he was up to something. "Do you fish?"
She nodded, mouth full of food. It was so charming how she was utterly unbothered by their status, behaving the same as she would around a campfire of rowdy mercenaries.
"His Majesty is quite the fisherman, aren't you?" he prompted, elbowing Dimitri.
"Er, it's been many years since I had the pleasure." Approximately twenty years, in fact-- his entire life.
Sylvain continued chatting, meandering toward whatever his mischievous goal was. "Shez took me to a lake that's great for fishing! And the weather is supposed to be beautiful this afternoon. Maybe you could go fishing, Byleth?"
"My father just left for a mission," she replied.
Odd. They typically worked as a unit. Dimitri wasn't aware of any time Jeralt had been deployed without her.
"Oh, bummer," Sylvain said. "Wait! I know! His Majesty could accompany you! He doesn't have any meetings today."
Ah, they'd finally arrived at the inevitable teasing.
Dimitri glared at his friend. "I have meetings all day. Like I do every day."
"Duke Ifan was delayed due to bad weather and won't be here until next week," Sylvain explained.
"And Rodrigue?"
"Spending the day with the new recruits from Duscur to help them settle in."
"The Margrave?" Dimitri asked. There was no way Gautier canceled their meeting. The sun itself could use that man to mark its schedule.
"Stomachache."
A silent battle of wills followed, the two men staring each other down. Sylvain had his signature roguish grin plastered on his face, with an extra glint in his eye that seemed to say, go on. Try me.
"A stomachache," repeated Dimitri in disbelief. "Margrave Gautier, the infamous Wall of Ice, protector of the most inhospitable territory in Faerghus, has a stomachache?"
"Sure does. I think he ate some bad fish," replied Sylvain. "Hey, maybe if you brought back some fresh ones from your excursion, that won't happen again!"
The king was grasping at straws, but he wasn't willing to admit defeat quite yet. "Well, there's always war council."
"Hardly seems worth it with so many people out, don't you think?"
What had Dimitri done to deserve such a prank? Sure, he'd hounded Sylvain at the Academy about his skirt-chasing from time to time, but this seemed to be quite a disproportionate response. Perhaps the knight subscribed to the adage that revenge was a dish best served cold, lying in wait for the opportunity to humiliate the king. Dimitri supposed it was inevitable that revenge would one day turn its gaze back upon him.
Maybe Sylvain just wanted to get his friend a date.
But Byleth was looking at him expectantly, and he found himself powerless to say no to her.
"It appears I am indeed free today," he said. "I'd be honored to accompany you to the lake, Miss Eisner."

My "Not a full thought" post about Emblems now being able to exist in Askr and the potential of timeline fuckery is coming back to haunt me.
Tumblr media
@iamdarkness BUT I really did wanna reply to this more in-depth esp to have context on the Engage side of things as well! And tbh it could be a really interesting thing to dig into, I just feel a bit out of my depth about it (the FEH autism does not extend far past Askr. If I'm entirely honest 🧍)
Hoping to clear the air on some things! Such as, Elyios (Engage) is separate from Askr/Zenith (FEH)! All the Emblems have their own "domains", in the form of a paralogue/map that's modeled after the respective Emblem's world. For story Emblems, you unlock these as you collect the rings, and for the DLC Emblems, that's how you recruit them. Unsure what this says about Elyios itself, if these maps are like. Pocket dimensions that are replicas of that Emblem's world or what. Given what I vaguely know about Emblem lore I'm gonna say replicas.
This is Askr's!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which, is interesting that it Is Askr, because it's Emblem Veronica's domain.
But honestly I feel like I'm getting ahead of myself, because even before the DLC came out, I was under the impression that Engage took place after all FEs were said and done, timeline wise. Given the nature of the Emblems, and the set up of the story starting off "1000 years ago" (and that was just to set up the story of Engage! So it has been A While).
One thing (that feels very loose canon-wise) that made me feel Engage is after FEH is because, not only are there Bond Rings of the Askr trio, but their weapons are here too! This was a promotional thing, but. It's There
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something worth noting, is that Bond Rings are different than Emblems. They don't have a spirit in them, that's as animated as the Emblems anyway... they give small stat bonuses, and are of characters that are related to any given Emblem (so, Corrin has a collection of Fates characters for Bond Rings, ect). This Does have an interesting result where there's an overlap between some DLC Emblems and Bond Rings. Cases being, there's Emblem Camilla and a Camilla Bond Ring that's connected to Emblem Corrin -- and, this happened to Edelgard/Dimitri/Claude too! Each of them having Bond Rings connected to Byleth, and also becoming their own Emblems in the Get Along Bracelet LMFAO (all three of them are in there. It goes about as well as you'd expect.)
But I am. Getting a little distracted.
EMBLEM VERONICA
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One line that stands out to me is Alear (named Milo here) saying he hasn't heard of Askr before. But like if I think about that too much my head might explode and also Alear was previously comatose for 1000 slutty slutty years. So. Take it or leave it, whatever this is implying
Also, interestingly, she takes the form of her post Book 6 look -- but there's some odd inconsistencies, like her personality being more young Veronica, and also, mentions of Bruno as if he was still missing in action and not. Well. You know. (I'd have to dig further into Bond convos for examples, which tbh may be a worthwhile endeavor! But for now Take My Word For It Please this is already so all over the place 🥲)
But the main reason I wanted to emphasize that dialogue (aside from it being interesting, to say the least), is how Alear doesn't know about Askr as a whole. And, in Alear/Alfonse Forging Bonds:
Tumblr media
WHICH.... AGAIN.......... MADE ME FEEL LIKE. With everything going on in Engage, the Bond Rings of Alfonse/Sharena/Anna, their Respective Signature Weapons (feels particularly damning) and Emblem Veronica. It felt like, what happens in Elyios is something that has Yet to Happen. And that, Askr as we know it, has been long gone.
But then...... everything with the Katarina/Kris FBs............ how Kris was only able to be summonable because Katarina and Marth told their story............. and how it's just the Emblems that are specifically mentioned as Not Having Info on, not Alear herself or her friends. My head hurds so bad.
LIKE...... I GUESS???? My initial thoughts on "Oh yeah that makes sense the Emblems don't exist in Askr" was that they Didn't Exist Yet. Aughh but then ...... in-universe, wouldn't the same be true for. Anyone from "the future". Or does it just apply to ghostly jewelry apparitions. Because we KNOW that option isn't true, it's shown/stated that Kiran comes from a modern world like ours, and there's also the Tokyo Mirage Sessions idols. Maybe the Emblem thing WAS just a Kris case, but that feels SO ODD. Like the Emblems are intrinsic to Elyios it seems. Why wouldn't the Askr library, chock full of information about the various worlds and lives of Heroes, Not Have That Info??? Especially with royalty like Lumera (Alear's mom) having close ties with specific Emblems (Sigurd). And also off the top my head that's a REOCCURRING thing, that the royal families in Engage Are entrusted with specific Emblems that are passed down/protected across generations. Celica with Céline/Firene, Lyn with Alcryst/Brodia, to name a few. It just seems SO strange, because it Feels Like it would be basic information about the world of Elyios.
CONCLUSION?????
My head hurds so bad. Net zero information. I'm so sorry. I hope this helped!!!!!!!!! 😇🫡

WIP Wednesday
Here's a small excerpt from the next chapter of All the Little Things, which should be posted in two weeks!
Rodrigue's reply arrives, and plans have been made to meet with him. It's too dangerous of a journey for Smolmitri to come, and Byleth has to break the news to him that he's staying behind...
Dread pooled in her gut as she braced herself to tell him the news. He wasn’t immediately visible when she returned to her room. “Dimitri?”
He poked his head out from behind the edge of her bedspread, suspicion written on his face. “You were gone longer than usual.”
Byleth nodded. “We received a reply from Rodrigue.”
His eye narrowed slightly. “And?”
She took a deep breath. “We’re meeting with him in Ailell to obtain troops and supplies. The mission should take about a fortnight.”
“Clever of him,” Dimitri said as he folded his arms. “In Ailell, we can meet up with them without our enemy ever finding out. When do we depart?”
“‘We?’” She raised an eyebrow. “Dimitri, you can’t come with us.”
“Was it not you who told me that I am responsible for this army?” he implored.
What a time for him to finally claim ownership of this resistance. She pursed her lips. “That’s irrelevant now. You can’t be on the battlefield as you are and you know it.”
“You said that it’s only a meeting!” he snapped, his voice getting more agitated. He had to be there to ensure that the correct plans were being made so he could take that woman’s head. “Why should I have to stay behind for a simple rendezvous?”
“Because it’s still too dangerous for you,” Byleth said. “Even if everything goes smoothly on the trip, it’d be far too easy for you to get lost or hurt out there. You need to stay here where it’s safe.”
“Stop coddling me!” he snarled. “If I’m responsible for this army as you claim, do not deny me my right to attend this engagement!”
“No,” she said firmly. “This isn’t up for debate.”
“You cannot leave me behind!” Dimitri roared. His hands were shaking, his heart pounding so hard it was like it was trying to burst out of his ribcage and a cold sweat coated his skin even as his body felt as if it were burning up. He clutched at his chest as it constricted and threatened to force all of the air from his lungs.

Persona 3/Fire Emblem Three Houses Crossover Megapost
Tumblr media
In celebration of Persona 3 Reload coming out and reigniting my love for S.E.E.S, and wanting to write Three Houses once again, I figured I could do both at once. If you wanna see more, feel free to request interactions/scenarios, I'd be happy to! Enjoy the shenanigans of the Blue Lions and S.E.E.S!
Word Count: 3.2k Content: Blue Lions meeting the P3 Protagonists, Sylvain talking to Aigis, Dimitri talking to Minato and Minako, Byleth and Sothis meeting Elizabeth, and Blue Lions reacting to Personas
Blue Lions meeting the P3 Protagonists ===============================
Byleth walked through the crowded hallways of Garreg Mach Monastery, accompanied by the two mysterious visitors that appeared during the bandit attack.
One was a blue haired boy, both hands in his pocket as he emotionlessly glanced around, ignoring the gaze of the students.
The one beside him was a brown haired girl with a ponytail, who in contrast seemed far more enthusiastic about meeting everyone, waving hello to some of the students.
(Minako) "Come on, you can at least smile a little! We're representing Gekkoukan after all."
Minato rolled his eyes and coldly replied.
(Minato) "Junpei is already ruining our reputation for us back at the entrance. No need for me to do anything."
Minako sighed and looked at her new teacher with a wry smile.
(Minako) "Sorry, this is probably not a good introduction, is it?"
Byleth shrugged, turning to face the both of them. His expression was not too dissimilar from Minato's.
(Byleth) "Honestly, I don't really know how to approach this better than you all. I'm a mercenary."
Minako put a finger to her chin as her brows furrowed.
(Minako) "Hm...Think we should have gotten Mitsuru-senpai to take care of the talking for us?"
(Minato) "Probably."
Minako shrugged shortly after thinking about the situation, her smile quickly coming back.
(Minako) "Well, too late for regrets now!...Actually, where are we going?"
(Byleth) "We're heading towards the...Blue Lions classroom I believe. Dimitri said he wanted to thank you two personally, I have to go to meet with some other people, but I'll check back with you all later."
After departing with Byleth, the siblings entered through a large double door and saw Dimitri surrounded by seven unfamiliar faces.
Dimitri gave them a nod of acknowledgement as the group scattered to make room.
(Dimitri) "I take it your group is getting accustomed to Garreg Mach?"
Minako smiled in response, first looking at everyone's expression and taking note of them before giving an answer. Minato meanwhile kept his stoic look and let his sister do the speaking.
(Minako) "Psh, not in the slightest! We've never seen anything like this back in our world."
An orange haired girl spoke up.
(Annette) "Another world? Wow, so the rumors weren't kidding! That'd certainly explain the weird looking clothes."
A larger dark skinned man standing next to Dimitri followed up her comment with a respectful bow.
(Dedue) "Where your group comes from is irrelevant, we all owe you a debt of gratitude for saving his highness."
Minato nodded back.
(Minato) "Of course. And thanks for giving our friends a place to stay."
(Sylvain) "Jeez, that guy's a little intense. Doesn't he remind you of a certain someone?"
Sylvain elbowed Felix, who gave an annoyed glare back.
(Felix) "Shut up already. They can hear you, you know."
(Minako) "Eh, don't worry about my baby brother here! He's usually like this."
(Mercedes) "Oh, you two are siblings? I wouldn't have guessed!"
Minato replied in an emotionless tone, though it did not carry any hint of malice in it.
(Minato) "We get that a lot."
(Ingrid) "If there's anything you guys need help with, feel free to reach out! My name's Ingrid, by the way."
Everyone took a moment to introduce themselves.
(Ashe) "I really look forward to getting to you know you all!"
Minako gave him a warm smile back.
(Minako) "Me too! And though he may not look like it, this one is too!"
(Minato) "Hm."
The siblings departed the Blue Lions to find their own group, leaving them to converse amongst themselves.
(Dimitri) "They appear to be...a unique bunch."
(Annette) "Minako seems really nice! Though, I couldn't really get a read on her brother."
(Ingrid) "It probably won't take long for Sylvain to piss him off."
(Sylvain) "Hey, why are you making it sound like he will get angry at me? We could be best buds!"
(Felix) "Is that right? Well, I'm not holding my breath."
(Mercedes) "This is going to be a fun year with them around, that's for sure!"
(Ashe) "Probably super chaotic too. I wonder what the rest of their group is like."
(Dedue) "If they are anything like us, Ashe, I'm sure it won't take them long to adjust."
=============================== Sylvain talking to Aigis ===============================
Aigis appeared to be standing still near the greenhouse, quietly examining the plants.
She had been that way for nearly an hour before she was approached by Sylvain.
(Sylvain) "Hey there, Aigis! Whatcha doin' here?"
Her head stiffly turned to face Sylvain and gave a single nod, her face remaining unchanged.
(Aigis) "I am observing the plants in your world. They appear to be very similar to our own, but differ in properties and how they are utilized."
Sylvain tilted his head curiously, turning to look at the plants with a look of genuine curiousity.
(Sylvain) "Huh. I never really thought about that kind of thing before, but it must be crazy for you to see plants be made into healing potions."
(Aigis) "Negative. Plants were used by humans for medicinal purposes, ranging back thousands of years. But the potency of your flora appear to be far stronger than the ones found on Earth."
Her answer confused him, making him shake his head and remember why he was there to begin with.
(Sylvain) "...Okaaay, kinda lost me there. But, if you're wanting to see other things that are different, how about going out into town with me?"
(Aigis) "Are you asking me out on what they refer to as a 'date'?"
Sylvain chuckled at her question.
(Sylvain) "If you wanna call it that, then sure-!"
(Aigis) "The answer is no."
(Sylvain) "Wha- why not?!"
(Aigis) "Minato-san has specifically warned me to not go on any dates. Especially with you, Sylvain."
Though her tone was completely static, he could gleam a bit of malice in the response.
(Sylvain) "Okay listen, whatever he told you about me is not true!"
(Aigis) "He has not told me anything."
(Sylvain) "Then who did?"
Aigis paused for a moment before resuming.
(Aigis) "...The list is as follows: Ingrid, Felix, Dimitri, Dorothea, Yukari, Junpei, Mitsuru, Minako, Byleth-"
(Sylvain) "Alright alright, I got the message across! But surely you must be curious about going outside the Monastery for at least a few hours? I can be a tour guide at least!"
Aigis paused once again.
(Aigis) "...I comprehend. If this is not a date, then I do not have a problem with this request."
(Sylvain) "G-Great! See you in half an hour?"
(Aigis) "Affirmative. I also have an order I am obliged to follow, given by Minato and Minako in regards to you."
Sylvain wasn't even sure he wanted to know what it was.
(Sylvain) "And that is...?"
(Aigis) "I am authorized to use force if pressured onto a date."
(Sylvain) "F-Force?! Now hang on just a-"
(Aigis) "Commencing preparations. Please meet me by the entrance in half an hour."
Aigis walked away, leaving Sylvain standing by himself with an open jaw.
(Sylvain) "What the heck is with her?!"
C Support Reached!
=============================== Dimitri talking to Minato and Minako ===============================
Dimitri walked into the dormitories where the S.E.E.S members had taken up residence during their stay at Garreg Mach.
At the moment it was just Minato sitting on the couch with a strange device on his ears, and Minako reading a book from the library.
Minako looked up from her book and waved to Dimitri.
(Minako) "Hey, Dimitri! Surprised to see you here!"
Minato noticed Minako moving and grabbed the right side of his device and lifted it off. Dimitri could hear words coming out of it.
"Hey, hey, hey" Fueling the fire with the burning desire-
(Minato) "Hey."
(Dimitri) "Are those words coming out of that earmuff?"
(Minako) "Oh, that's right! I forget you guys don't know what headphones are!"
Minato raised an eyebrow at his sister.
(Minato) "We've been in a medieval world this entire time, and you forgot that it doesn't have technology like ours?"
(Minako) "Hush you! Anyways, that's a small...thingy that can play music, in short. Now whatcha need?"
Dimitri cleared his throat after focusing away from Minato's headphones.
(Dimitri) "Truthfully, I was curious to see what you all got up to in your free time. You seemed to have adjusted to the school life well, but I was wanting to make sure you could do so in your free time."
Minato shrugged nonchalantly.
(Minato) "We're managing, surprisingly."
(Minako) "Yeah, who knew that hanging out with a buncha people our age who can cast fireballs would seem so normal!"
(Dimitri) "That's another thing I wanted to ask. Your group seems well versed in combat already. What exactly is your home like?"
(Minako) "Weeeeeelll-"
Her voice trailed off, waving one hand dismissively.
(Minako) "Just self defense is all! We have to deal with vagrants in our world too."
(Dimitri) "Is...that right?"
(Minato) "You're a worse liar than Ashe-"
Minako immediately pointed at her little brother.
(Minako) "YOU! YOUR FACE, SHUT!"
That made Dimitri laugh.
(Dimitri) "I apologize, I did not mean to pry. I am just impressed more than anything."
(Minato) "Relatedly...Today's the first full moon here at Garreg Mach, right?"
Dimitri noticed how both their expressions suddenly became serious.
(Dimitri) "Y-Yes it is. It also means it's nearly been a month since you all first came here. Is the moon significant in your world?"
Minato sat up from the couch and put his hands into his pocket.
(Minato) "Very."
Minato began walking away from the group before giving Dimitri one last look.
(Minato) "You might get your answer sooner than you think."
As he exited the dorm, he turned to Minako.
(Dimitri) "Did I say something wrong?"
(Minako) "Oh, don't mind him. He's usually that much of a jackass...But he's not wrong...Say, how about we spar near midnight, Dimitri?"
=============================== Byleth and Sothis meeting Elizabeth ===============================
Byleth woke up in his bed, rubbing his eye before noticing Sothis was trying to shake him awake.
(Sothis) "Finally! Do you know how long I've been trying to- Know what? Forget it, that doesn't matter! There's something here!"
(Byleth) "Something here? What are you-"
He paused when he noticed there was a blue glow coming from outside the door to his room.
Byleth immediately grabbed his sword and nearly kicked down the door with Sothis floating behind him.
Only to see another door in front of him, glowing blue and with an energy he could not place the feeling of.
(Byleth) "That wasn't here yesterday."
(Sothis) "Your keen senses of observation never ceases to amaze me, child."
Byleth made no comment as he slowly circled around the door. There was nothing it led to, even on the other side.
Byleth saw a group of students walk past the door, giving him an odd look but saying hello, not even acknowledging the door's presence.
(Sothis) "The door feels...strangely familiar."
(Byleth) "Should we go inside it?"
The two exchanged a glance before slowly opening the door and entering it.
...
Inside sat Sothis's throne, now bathed in a ghastly blue aura, a table sitting in front of it, but most notable of all was the fact a woman was standing inside, alone.
(Sothis) "M-My throne!"
The woman turned towards her visitors and politely bowed.
She had blonde hair and a strange blue attire, adorned with a small hat that rested on her head.
While everything about her seemed to be human, the way she portrayed herself and everything surrounding her was anything but.
(???) "Welcome, to the Velvet Room."
(Sothis) "Velvet Room? This is MY room!"
(???) "...Ah, so it is! I was wondering why it was so empty. I hope you do not mind that I have taken up residence here, you have my sincerest apologies!"
Byleth reached for his sword, but suddenly realized it was gone. Deciding to question instead of fight, he simply asked:
(Byleth) "Who are you?"
The woman smiled at the question and bowed once again.
(Elizabeth) "My name is Elizabeth, it is a pleasure to be your acquaintance! I am the attendee to the two under your care."
It took a moment for them to realize who she was talking about.
(Byleth) "Minato and Minako?"
Suddenly, things made sense. Everytime Sothis appeared to talk to him, they appeared to be aware of her, despite the fact no one else in their group could.
They already weren't normal, but this further solidified that something else was at play here.
(Elizabeth) "The Arisato siblings, yes! Well, truth be told my brother is supposed to be here, but alas he is nowhere to be found. But I am more than enough to serve their purpose."
(Sothis) "What do you provide that requires taking over my home?"
(Byleth) "That's in my head, no less..."
(Elizabeth) "I provide them with the fusing of Personas for their journey. Nothing more, and nothing less! For we can only assist, never directly intervene.
Elizabeth put a finger to her chin, thinking about what to say next.
(Elizabeth) "As for the occupation, it seemed this was the only place I could manifest myself that could easily reach you as well. Your fates are all intertwined, after all!"
Sothis sighed and crossed her arms, floating over to Elizabeth.
(Sothis) "You couldn't ask?"
(Elizabeth) "I tried, multiple times. But I believe you were asleep everytime I attempted, and eventually found this empty room, save the throne."
(Byleth) "...That one is more of your fault than anything-"
(Sothis) "Be quiet."
(Elizabeth) "I look forward to getting to know you two as well."
(Byleth) "Well, I'm Byleth, and that's Sothis. I guess we'll get to know you too."
Suddenly, the door opened behind them.
(Minako) "I guess it makes sense for the Velvet room to- OHMYGOD!-"
Minako leapt back in fear while Minato only flinched.
(Minako) "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"
(Minato) "It's that floating green thing again too-"
(Sothis) "EXCUSE ME?!"
=============================== Blue Lions Reacting to Personas ===============================
(Dimitri) "EVERYONE, TO THE CATHEDRAL!"
The Blue Lions and Byleth dashed across the bridge leading to Garreg Mach's cathedral, bathed in the ominous light of a full moon.
The previously calm black skies had darkened to a sickly pale green glow while being chased by monsters.
While they could kill a few of them, there were too many of them to deal with. And under the moonlight they appeared to be getting stronger.
Ashe, Mercedes, and Annette attempted to hold back the monsters with spells and arrows, but if they stood their ground they would have been overwhelmed.
Instead, Dimitri, Dedue, Felix, and Byleth held the ones in pursuit off while Ingrid and Sylvain tried to find a way inside.
(Sylvain) "Damn it, it's stuck!"
(Ingrid) "Then we gotta kick the door down!-"
Before she could attempt to do so, the ground they were standing on quickly darkened, making everyone look up.
A massive blob-like monster slithered down the walls, with too many arms to count protruding out of it, all wielding swords.
(Annette) "B-BEHIND US!"
Everyone turned around and gained distance as the monster crashed onto the concrete, sending bricks flying into the air at violent speeds.
The Blue Lions had been pincered by these creatures.
(Mercedes) "I-Is this the work of the same people that attacked the burial site?!"
(Dedue) "I am unsure if even they are capable of doing this! The people I had been speaking to suddenly turned into coffins!"
(Byleth) "Here's the plan, when I count to three, we break through these monsters coming from the bridge and make a run-"
Before he could finish his sentence, they all heard someone speaking to them.
(Fuuka's Voice) "Thank goodness, you all are still okay! Can you hear me?!"
(Felix) "Is that...Fuuka?!"
(Ashe) "Is she in danger too?! How can we hear-"
(Fuuka's Voice) "Everyone needs to get back to a safe distance from the Shadows on the bridge, right now!"
Without warning, the shadows suddenly burst into a black mist from what appeared to be an ice spell.
Mitsuru, Akihiko, Ken, Shinji, Aigis, and even their dog, Koromaru, were standing from the entrance, all wielding weapons.
(Mitsuru) "Everyone, escape to us, we'll keep you safe!"
Before anyone could react, Minato, Minako, Junpei, and Yukari ran in front of them, all wielding strange devices in their hands with red armbands.
(Dimitri) "Wait, that thing is too dangerous for you to-!"
Minako turned to them with a smirk, giving them a thumbs up and cutting Dimitri off.
(Minako) "Don't worry. Bandits and cultists are your guys things, Shadows are ours!"
(Junpei) "Hell yeah, time for us to finally shine!"
(Yukari) "Please focus, you two!"
(Minato) "You wanted to see where we got our combat skills from, right Dimitri? Here's your answer."
Everyone watched with confusion as they pointed strange devices to all their heads.
(Minato/Minako, Junpei, and Yukari)
"ORPHEUS!" "HERMES!" "IO!"
The monster seemed to recoil in surprise once the four pulled the trigger, summoning monsters of their own, igniting the area around them in a bright blue flame.
They rushed the monster with their weapons raised, joined by their ghastly summons and seemed to attack with near perfect synchronization.
Looking back at the bridge, the rest of them appeared to be doing the same and wiping out the smaller monsters with ease.
(Shinji) "The hell are you doing standing still, get a damn move on!"
(Byleth) "You heard them, MOVE IT!"
The Blue Lions did as commanded, running from the fight, though most of them couldn't tear their eyes off from what they were seeing.
(Sylvain) "Holy hell, they're tearing those things apart! What even are they?!"
(Felix) "Tch, no wonder they always seemed like they were holding back, it's because they were!"
(Annette) "Are those made from magic?!"
(Mercedes) "They look more like ghosts to me!"
(Ashe) "I-I hope they're not, but I'm glad they're on our side!"
(Ingrid) "Think they can teach us how to do that too?"
(Dedue) "I do not think we should be asking questions like these right now!"
(Dimitri) "Agreed, we need to find somewhere safe!"
(Byleth) What kind of place is their world where fighting monsters like these is normal for them?!
...
(Elizabeth) "Hah, I knew they'd have no problem."
Sothis watched the ongoing fight with her jaw opened wide, not believing what was happening.
...
Once the Full Moon Shadow was dispatched of, the members of S.E.E.S moved to find the Blue Lions.
(Fuuka) "Good work everyone, the rest of the shadows are disappearing en masse."
(Mitsuru) "Operation complete, though I cannot say I feel particularly great after this victory."
(Ken) "I can't believe the Dark Hour followed us here..."
(Koromaru) "Woof!"
(Aigis) "Koromaru agrees."
(Minato) "Makes sense something would be up if we could still use our evokers here, even outside the Dark Hour."
(Yukari) "I can't help but feel responsible. We brought the Dark Hour to a place that didn't even have to deal with it..."
(Junpei) "Saving one world was already great, but maybe we'll get the credit for two?"
(Shinji) "Tch, what a pain in the ass."
(Akihiko) "Suppose we just need to keep in mind of the moon here too, on top of all the other things to worry about."
(Minako) "Feels good finally getting to let loose without worrying about witnes-...Oh crap, where did the Blue Lions go! They didn't exactly look like they'd forget about this anytime soon!"
Fuuka quickly found where they were hiding, and S.E.E.S moved to find and explain everything they could.
Or at least, attempt to explain.
Mitsuru and Minato had to do most of the explaining.

POV
POV — something that’s already happened, retold from another character’s perspective
It wasn't like the professor to be nervous, Lysithea thought. And nervous was the only way she could interpret Byleth's fidgeting fingers, rearranging the pastries on the dessert plates as she might the tokens on a tactical map when planning an upcoming battle. But Lysithea doubted Edelgard von Hresvelg could be swayed with desserts—no matter how tempting they might look.
"Is she here yet?" Byleth asked.
"She's on her way," Lysithea replied. "Professor, are you… nervous?"
"I want this to go well," Byleth said, and Lysithea noted the tiny creases of her brow. "It may be our only chance at ending things peacefully."
Lysithea shook her head. "It's a very slim chance. You know that, don't you, Professor?"
Byleth's hand darted down to her leg where Lysithea had seen the gruesome injury, the one Edelgard had bandaged and applied a tourniquet to before Lysithea and the other Deer had arrived. "She saved my life," Byleth said softly. "I don't want to repay that kindness by taking hers."

FE Pride Week - #2: Coming Out
<Pairing: Dimitri X Araial (male OC)>
For @fe-pride-week
(This one’s a bit long, so I apologize!)
Dimitri couldn’t help but notice that Araial was acting strangely. He first noticed during his coronation ceremony, during which Araial seemed to be preoccupied with his thoughts. He’d give the proper responses at the right times, but otherwise, he seemed as if only his body was there, not his mind or heart.
Later on, during the post-ceremony celebration, Dimitri searched for Araial, trying to find the younger man to see what was bothering him, but Byleth informed him that Araial had slipped away.
Dimitri went to look for the young knight, knowing exactly where to find him - in the training hall of Faerghus’s castle, where they had first met.
As Dimitri had expected, Araial was sitting on a bench in the training hall, his head buried in his hands. Dimitri called out to him, and he immediately got up, standing at attention.
“Your Majesty!” he said, obviously startled.
Dimitri shook his head. “Araial. There’s no need to be so formal. We’re the only ones here.”
“I know, but… that doesn’t change the fact that you’re the king now…” Araial replied, although his posture did relax. “Still, how did you know to find me here?”
Dimitri smiled warmly, gently placing a hand on Araial’s shoulder. “This place holds great significance to you, does it not? It does for me.”
“It does?” Araial seemed surprised by this.
“Yes, it certainly does,” Dimitri replied. “Who knew that the boy I so often defended as a youth would grow up to be so strong in his own right?”
Araial gave a small smile, but it quickly faded. “What brings you here? Why were you looking for me?” he asked.
“I wanted to ask you about something you said before we entered the castle at Enbarr for our final battle,” Dimitri said, his voice serious.
Araial visibly tensed, which almost stopped Dimitri. But the new king knew that he had to continue if he wanted to help Araial in any way.
“You had tried to tell me something then,” Dimitri began, “but then you said that it ‘wouldn’t work’ and that you’d just be happy to protect me as my knight. What did you mean by that?”
Araial’s gaze turned to the ground, and he shook his head. “My apologies, Your Majesty, but…I can’t tell you. All I can say is that it truly wouldn’t work.”
Dimitri now realized what was bothering Araial. The other man had given up on ever being loved.
Dimitri remembered how - both at the Academy and during the war - Araial was often approached by suitors of all genders, but he would always politely reject them. Dimitri hadn’t known why until recently, when Manuela had told him the truth behind Araial’s actions.
Dimitri knew he had to do something before he lost his chance. He began to speak, but Araial took a few steps back.
“Please, Your Majesty… I don’t wish to discuss this further… My apologies, but I’ll take my leave now…” he said, his voice cracking with emotion. And with that, he began to run.
“Araial!” Dimitri called out, tossing his cloak to the side in preparation to chase him down. He ran after Araial, eventually catching up to the younger man and bringing them both to the ground. Araial struggled, protesting, until Dimitri spoke once more.
“I can’t let you go until you promise me something. Promise me that you won’t run off until you hear what I want to say. If you leave after that, I understand, but please hear me out first.”
The younger man nodded, and Dimitri got off of him and sat to the side. Araial sat across from him, seeming apprehensive.
“The first thing I wanted you to know is that I’m worried about you. Ever since I’ve known you, you’ve always treated those around you with great kindness, but haven’t been nearly as kind to yourself. I want you to take care of yourself as well, but I know you haven’t ever done so. Therefore, I’ll take care of you until you recover from that mindset.”
Araial sighed and shook his head. “I can’t ask that of you, Your Majesty. You’re the king now - you have too many responsibilities now to focus on one of your knights above the others.”
Dimitri braced himself. He was about to say something to Araial that had the potential to change their lives forever. Still, he had to do it.
“This brings me to the second thing I wanted to say to you. You see, that time we nearly lost you in battle… I had commended your loyalty, but then Manuela told me about the difference between loyalty and devotion…and that you weren’t just loyal, but were also devoted. That’s when I realized something about myself.”
Dimitri took a deep breath, and then continued.
“I realized that I had fallen in love with you. I had been feeling that way since shortly after we began attending the Academy, but never knew what the feelings meant until then. I’m sorry I never told you until now.”
Araial began to tear up, trembling heavily. “Your Majesty… Dimitri… I’ve always loved you, but I never thought it would be possible for you to love someone such as myself…”
Dimitri brought Araial close, holding him gently. “It is more than possible. I love you dearly, and I’ll take care of you from now on.”

Summary: Sylvain stumbles upon Felix training his Saturday away and decided to distract him. Totally doesn’t have any other ulterior motives other than friendly bromance, nope!
“Huh! Hah! H-aaurgh!”
“My, such a hard worker. Say, do you come here often?”
“Shut it. If you’re not here to train, don’t distract me.”
Wow, such hurtful words… if Sylvain were twelve. The redhead crossed his hands over his heart as he dramatically stumbled back, moaning in fake pain. “Felix, you wound me!”
“Good.”
Sheesh. Sylvain rolled his eyes behind his back, knowing full well that Felix would know, and just as expected there was that familiar “tch” noise from his classmate. Even so, Felix didn’t even spare him a glance as he returned to his practice and took up half the practice grounds with his setup alone.
Not that it mattered. It was a Saturday and this side of the Academy wasn’t exactly in high demand when classes were out—why would they be, when students can flock to the marketplace, study away in the library, or do, literally, anything else other than train their already sore muscles? Sylvain himself was raring to go for a hot Saturday night out when he was crossing the training grounds but then he’d seen Felix and. Well.
There was nothing that needed to be said about a lone figure training on a weekend. A little sad, in his (not) professional opinion. What kind of friend would he be if he just left his dearest childhood friend alone?
A bad one, of course. That was it: a desire to be a good friend and help out during Felix’s obviously struggling loneself. Totally nothing other than that. Nope! It wasn’t like Sylvain enjoyed the calm moments that stretched between the two in the classroom, when Felix was less pressed about glaring at everything that moved and stared diligently at Byleth with something that he could almost call respect. He certainly didn’t linger on the moments when they stood back to back together during the Battle of Eagle and Lion, feeling Felix’s warmth from where their arms had pressed together.
Definitely, absolutely, did not enjoy watching Felix’s hair flutter just slightly in the wind or the way his words came out tinged with an edge promising violence.
“Are you going to train or just stare at me forever?”
“Aww, Fe-Fe—”
“Don’t call me that.”
Sylvain’s jaw clicked as he offered Felix a lazy smile instead of replying. Felix’s brow twitched, turning back to his invisible enemy. Strike, strike, strike.
“I’m serious. Pick up a spear or leave.”
“I pick leave! Let’s go out to town together!”
“Don’t make me hit you.”
So rude. Sylvain tutted, though he remained where he was. It wasn’t like Felix would actually toss him out; they’d done this song and dance enough times for him to know what Felix actually looked like when he was furious. Shoulders raised, fist clenching, bloody nails—the whole shebang.
His shoulders were down now, almost relaxed with every practiced motion. Tempered breathing, easy and calm, and a smooth, beautiful series of steps as left crossed right and vice-versa, following a roadmap drilled into them. Felix, as always, executed it beautifully.
It was just too tempting to mess with him.
“Oh? Are you finally ready to—S-Syvlain! Stahahap!”
“Stop what? Didn’t you want some hand-to-hand practice?”
“Ehehe, this ishihin’t practice!”
“Really? News to me…” Sylvain grinned as his hands trailed along Felix’s sides, chuckling at the way his friend’s cackles grew in response. The wooden sword slipped from his fingers as Felix tried to pry his hands off, shaking his head between sputtered protests.
“Nahaha, Sylvahahain!”
Felix’s leg kicked out at him warningly but the threat wasn’t exactly effective coupled with the boyish smile that bloomed on his face and spread from rosy cheek to cheek. His brows were scrunched up as he slapped Sylvain’s arms, head tossed back onto his shoulder. Their height difference was easier to take advantage of this close and Sylvain took full advantage to blow against Felix’s ear just to see him jolt. “You called?”
“I didihiihihiHIN’T! FU–HAHAHACK OFF!”
Talk about loud. Sylvain’s hands tightened around Felix’s sides, earning a squeak, as he quickly ducked his head to glance at both sides. It didn’t look like anyone was running to the training grounds after Felix’s loud laughter: well, it was Saturday. He could, maybe, possibly just mess with Felix all day if he wanted to.
(An evil thought, if he were in Felix’s position. But who could resist turning grumpy Felix’s frown upside-down? The Professor wouldn’t be too mad, surely…)
It’d been years since he last had the chance to mess with Felix like this; not since they were kids. Even so, it was like muscle memory. He knew Felix liked a lighter touch along his sides but threw his head back in full belly laughs when his ribs were kneaded. His tummy was weak, but only in the upper half where it was easy for Sylvain to fold him over and tease the area. His knees were equally weak, though harder to reach, and Felix was a kicker in the true sense of the word.
It was kinda nice to see, despite all his moodiness, Felix was still just as ticklish as he was all those years ago.
“Doesn’t this bring you back?”
“SHUHUHUT IT!”
Sylvain hummed as Felix managed to grab onto one of his hands, prying it away from his side with a triumphant gasp, only to break into shaky giggles when his other hand skirted up to his underarms. Felix gave up immediately with a shriek that only redoubled when the distraction gave Sylvain the chance to grab his other wrist, holding them together with his one hand.
Which left his other hand the chance to explore. It was something they both realized at once, twin smiles on both faces: one nervous, one dangerous.
Felix swallowed. His eyes darted from his captured wrists, Sylvain’s free hand, and then his face in quick succession. “S-Sylvain… this ehehe is… your o-only warning…!”
“I better take that warning seriously, huh?”
“What do you—Ugh, nohohoHOHO! DoHOHON’T—NAHAA!”
Felix shrieked as his flailing redoubled, eyes squeezing shut when giggles escaped from clenched teeth. He lasted about two seconds before buckling, squirming where Sylvain’s right hand was rubbing small circles against the divot of his hips. It’d been a weak point of his since they were kids and it brought Sylvain great pleasure to see that it hadn’t changed.
Especially because weak point here actually meant weak: anywhere else was a threat of a kick or fist to the face. Glenn had favored tackling Felix and bringing him to his knees with giggly tears with his hips and Sylvain evidently had learned to do the same.
Felix had gotten a lot heavier since then though. Sylvain strained to hold him up properly once he leant entirely back, unable to hold himself up between giggles. Clearly Felix’s training had paid off in muscles (Sylvain’s lack of not-so-much) and Sylvain’s grip tightened on his hip as he brought them both slowly to the ground.
“Nahahahaha moore! SylvAHAHAIn!”
“I don’t know, I’m enjoying myself right now…”
“I CahahaHAHAHN’T! PLEAHAHASE!” Felix’s face was entirely red now, flushed from ear to ear, as his protests died into breathless laughter. His whole body shook with it, voice tinged with desperation, and Sylvain took a moment to stare at his face, the bob of his throat between ragged gasps, and acquiesced.
“Alright, alright. Just because you’re begging, Fe-Fe.”
The moment he let go, Felix’s hands darted away to rub at his hip as though soothing the lingering ghost tingles. He watched with a chuckle, raising his hands up in surrender when Felix’s eyes immediately darted to him at the sound, promising violence. He even scooted away for extra measure!
Felix’s chest heaved to take in proper air now that the tickling had stopped, wiping at the sweat that had gathered on his face in his struggle. The tremble of his body slowed as his shoulders sagged in exhaustion, rubbing at the knot of his hair and pulling at the base of his ponytail, grimacing as his fingers came away sweaty. Even so, the tickling-induced flush of his cheeks hadn’t faded yet and the way he glanced up at Sylvain with the lingering smile on his face was…
It was a little mesmerizing, he could admit.
“You’re staring.”
Sylvain jolted, though the words weren’t any different from the ones preceding it. If anything, they were less rude. Even so, he couldn’t help the tinge of red coloring his cheeks, and worse than that, knew that Felix wouldn’t even notice. “You already said that earlier.”
“Because you were,” Felix huffed. His breathing seemed to have evened out and he pulled himself upright, crossing his arms as he returned Sylvain’s stare with one of his own. “You’ve been staring more than usual.”
“Yeah, well…” Nothing to say to that. He huffed instead, turning his gaze to the flowerbeds decorating the side of the grounds. Pretty things. He just happened to like pretty things.
And if his gaze liked to wander back to Felix, well, it was out of an appreciation for the arts. He was a noble—couldn’t exactly help treasuring rare things. A soft, smiling Felix had to count for both.
Especially when said Felix was smiling at him.
“Come on.”
Sylvain blinked as a hand emerged in front of his face. In the moment of thought, Felix had gotten up and now had a hand outstretched to him. His mouth parted as Felix’s brow twitched. “Come on. Get up.”
“Uh, are we going to train?”
“What are you—stupid? No, don’t answer that.” Felix shook his head, sighing. “Didn’t you say you wanted to go to town together?”
Oh. He did say that, didn’t he? Sylvain hadn’t thought Felix had been paying attention, nor that he’d actually want to, when every attempt to invite Felix out in the past had been shot down with a quick and brutal rejection.
Yet no matter how much he blinked, the Felix waiting for him didn’t flicker. When he took Felix’s hand, the other was sturdy in his stance as he pulled Sylvain up. And when his hand lingered, eyes on the way their fingers joined, well…
Felix’s hand squeezed around his with a chuckle. A real one, something of a rumble that rose from his chest and slipped past parted lips; when he tugged forward, Sylvain followed. “Come on, Sylvie. Let’s go.”
Sylvain stared and resolutely, absolutely, did not acknowledge the way his heart thudded in his chest.
(Fuck.)

“Have you ever seen a clearer night before?”
The unexpected, soft voice brought Hubert from his thoughts and his gaze shifted from the sky to behind him, where the owner of the voice was. It was Sothis. Why was she here? And without Byleth.
“Not recently,” answered the man. It wasn’t as often as he’d like he found time to peer up at the sky, whether it twinkled with a thousand lights of stars, or of soft clouds. Night there were a few minutes of peace found. Tonight it wasn’t broken, and some company could be nice. “Could you not sleep, my lady?”
The goddess gazed at Hubert then shook her head with a gentle sigh. No she couldn’t. Unusual as it was, she was wide awake. Awake and achey. She wasn’t even levitating like normal, something the Black Eagle took note of. “No.. I was restless. By couldn’t help me.” So she figured a walk would do her good. Wear out her mind, stretch her legs, work out the aches.
“You look chilled,” So commented suddenly, before Hubert could speak. The night may have been still, but it wasn’t too warm either. He might have lost track of time that night, who knows how long he’s been outside.
Sothis watched him for a reply, to which she received a nod. A very subtle nod. Without a Word herself she carefully crept forward, but despite soft footsteps, she limped. Something Hubert took close note of. Why was she limping? There didn’t seem to be any injuries on her legs. He made a mental note to investigate later on.
Finding her here itself was unexpected but the second surprise of the night was when Sothis stopped by the man’s side and instantly pressed against him, with jeweled arms sliding around his waist. Hubert stilled completely at the contact. Not that it was completely unwarranted, but from how hot the goddess was. Warm, hot, burning. She was burning. A flame to warm the night. He had touched her prior but it still surprised him with her heat.
“Don’t make yourself too comfortable.” There was a slight tease to Hubert’s voice as he relaxed. An arm slung around the greenette to bring her closer. The answer he got was laughter. It sounded like music to him. “We shouldn’t stay out here too late, my lady. We have early days tomorrow.”
“Mm..” The only sound was from the back of her throat. Her face pressed into his side as she held him. Now that she’s in place she didn’t want to move. “I will only move if you carry me.”

I know some people question me and my analysis that Claude's fatal flaw is his hatred towards the Church. He does mention in his supports with Byleth that he has always hated the idea of praying to a god for help, believing that you can only rely on yourself. But then you fast-forward to the end of Wind, where he gives his big trailer speech about how they win, by “scaling the walls between” people and reaching out their hands in friendship. But there's also one more scene I feel really drives this home.
The event, “The Alliance Leader's True Identity.” People love to point to this scene because Lorenz says that Claude's ambitions go against the Church, but Claude replies that he doesn't think so after he's already pointed out that Garreg Mach had a man from Duscur, a princess from Brigid, and pointing out Cyril is from Almyra. It's used to show that Claude has amended his worldview with facts rather than his presumptions, but Claude also says this.
Claude: Ha! I'll tell (Nader) you said that. And I'm sure that if all of you got to know him, all of your preconceived notions would change too. I know you guys, and you aren't the type of people to reject someone without trying to get to know them.
He then explains that he got Nader and Holst, who have been fighting each other for a long time, together so they could get to know one another and how it ended with them drinking towards their new brotherhood. And this is what's been happening to Claude all throughout this route. He's working alongside the Church of Seiros despite his initial belief they were to blame for Fodlan's xenophobic attitudes as well as his aversion to religion. But he gets to know them, see them for who they really are rather than what he believed them to be.
Claude gains knowledge, sure, but he only get it when he puts aside his aversion in order to work with them. We could say that Byleth acted as the bridge between him and the Church that helps Claude start this process, but it's on Claude to take that first step and come to Garreg Mach for the reunion. Claude's lack of knowledge wouldn't prevent him from taking the first step, especially since Hopes made it pretty clear that the events of White Clouds plays a role in who he becomes post-timeskip.

May I request Rhea/femaleByleth looking at the night sky together? 💙
Starlight Sky
Game Series: Fire Emblem.
Characters: Female Byleth, Claude, Sothis and Rhea.
Genre: Fluff.
Proofread: Yes.
Notes: Slight spoilers. I decided to base this fic off the ball cutscene from FE3H and the event with Rhea that happens after it. Sothis and Claude are in this as they are a part of the cutscene and event. However, this still is mainly a Female Byleth x Rhea fic.
Tumblr media
It was a lively night in Garreg Mach Monastery. It was the night of the ball and students were having drinks and dancing hand in hand to the music. Even Byleth was in the ballroom watching her students dance and chat with each other. She was content with just watching from the sidelines as her students enjoyed themselves and had fun not having to worry over exams and assignments.
However, before she knew it one of her fellow students approached and took her hand. "Hey teach let's dance!" It was Claude and he took her hand and they walked and danced together to the rhythm of the music. After some time Byleth slipped off to somewhere more quiet within the Monastery.
Feeling rather tired from the dancing and chatting with the students. She wanted some alone time to relax for a while.
"Feeling tired are you? I dare say you were the most popular in the ballroom. You had so many students swarming around to dance and chat with you. Come on won't you dance more?"
It was Sothis Someone who Byleth had gotten to know quite well over the past few months. Byleth trusted Sothis and even if she wouldn't say she was glad to have Sothis around to keep her company. "No, I think I'll rest for now and return to the ballroom later," Byleth replied.
"Oh, you're no fun why If I had a body of my own. I'd dance the night away until my legs gave out. But fine done as you will rest for now you certainly deserve it." Just as the two were speaking Lady Rhea had walked into the room. "..." As soon as she had entered she left just as quickly.
"Since you will dance no more. Why don't you follow her and see what she's doing." Soiths spoke. "Why would I? I have no reason to follow her." Byleth replied. "Ugh come on! I'm bored beyond belief! Come on I know you are interested in what she is up to!" Byleth couldn't deny that she was interested in seeing what Lady Rhea was up to.
Suddenly both heard distant singing. "Someone is singing. You hear it too yes? It's coming from that direction could it be..." Sothis had spoken and now Byleth almost felt drawn to the distant singing as she made her way to where the singing was coming from.
"In time's flow...see the glow of flames ever burning bright... On the swift river's drift, broken memories alight..." It was Lady Rhea and it seems as though she is singing a lullaby. "That song it seems... familiar to be but how can that be so? I feel as though I sang this song to someone in the distant past. But there's more i...wrote this song but how can that be so? If what I say is true how could she be singing it? Unless...oh my I feel rather sleepy all of a sudden. I feel as though I could just doze right off to sleep..."
Snores were heard indicating that Sothis had fallen asleep.
After Sothis had fallen asleep Byleth decided to go out onto the balcony where Lady Rhea was singing. "You have an enchanting singing voice, Lady Rhea," Byleth spoke as stepped onto the balcony Lady Rhea turned to face her. "Oh professor how nice it is to see you.
My thanks that song has special meaning to me and I often find myself singing the melody." Lady Rhea replied to Byleth as looked up to the starlight sky.
Byleth then stood next to her looking up at the beautiful night sky with her. "Someone very important to me once sang this song to me. However, she is no longer her as she is in the heavenly kingdom above." As she continued to look up at the star light sky Byleth spoke.
"I'm sure she is at peace now and I'm sure she is happy to hear you sing the song she once sang to you." Rhea smiles. "Yes professor I'm sure she is and she must be looking down upon us with a smile on her face." Byleth then turned to look at Lady Rhea and put out her hand.
"May I have this dance, Lady Rhea?" Lady Rhea laughed. "Of course, you may have this dance professor." Lady Rhea spoke as she took Byleth's hand in hers. As the two danced the night away under the beautiful starlight sky.

20 Questions for Writers
i got tagged by @throughtrialbyfire !!! idk who wants to be tagged though so if you see it. you can do it too :]
ill also answer under a read more
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
24!
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
572,669. i have a disease that makes me incapable of shutting up
3. What fandoms do you write for?
i write for TES right now tbh but i've also written for yugioh and fire emblem three houses
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Consequences (fe3h) 1,483 Our Den (fe3h) 1,244 The Secrets We Share to Those We Love (MHA) 946 The World Eater's Eyrie (skyrim) 666 (LMAOOOOO nice) Alduin's Bane (skyrim) 569 (also nice)
5. Do you respond to comments?
god i try to. i love getting comments i just sometimes dont know what to say. i try to stay on top of reading them and responding if i can. if i havent replied to ur comment. i am stupid.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
most of my fics dont have endings tbh. i have either never finished them or they are just nice little one shots. however Siblings (fe3h) with twin byleths where one kills the other was pretty angsty ngl
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
uhhhhhh this is a problem yet again where most of mine are just happy little one shots or are unfinished. but i think To Walk the World with You Again (morrowind) is very happy. it hurts a lot in the beginning but ends with a happy loving reunion :>
8. Do you get hate on fics?
the closest i got was someone saying on Consequences (fe3h) that it shouldnt be tagged as M/M and instead M/F bc byleth was trans but other ppl ripped into them. i havent gotten rly terrible hate since fanfiction.net
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
all the time. i think i am primarily a smut author if im being honest. i just wanna watch my blorbos bone. as for what kind uhhhhh theres multiple kinds????
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
i dont think i have. i am just boring tbh
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not that i know of
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
again not that i know of but if anyone wants to i wouldnt be against it
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
YES the cannibal au for 5ds with my lil bro. i still think abt that au all the time tbh. it was angsty. it was dramatic. it was complicated. it was filled with hard moral dilemmas and gods with non-human morality and a lot of mythology shit. sad we never finished it tbh but life was getting hectic.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
i dont know. rn i think its nerevoryn but trickstarshipping (where i got my url namesake from) still holds a special place in my heart <3)
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Ghosts of the Past (svsss). i really do like the story and had a bunch of it planned out mentally. qinghua's father was going to disown him when qinghua was going to tell him he was dating mobei and refused to hear qinghua out, there was gonna be drama with qinghua's family too where his dad says he firmly believes qinghua is actually the son of his identical twin brother who had an affair with qinghua's mother (his father was already cheating on his mom and she was wrong to do that, but no he is in fact the child of his bio-dad even being disowned). they then spend a summer vacation living together getting an apartment, go visit his uncle, and qinghua learns to enjoy his creative passions while finishing his degree with mobei and shen yuan's help, etc etc
the ending was going to be at a christmas party where qinghua's father catches a glimpse of qinghua at a company party. his wife (qinghua's former step-mother and the revealed mother of qinghua's half siblings rather than step siblings like qinghua grew up believing) thinks hes here to crash the party only for them to see he's there as mobei's boyfriend. his dad then tries to get in good with mobei who just brushes him off with "ah right, i know you. you're qinghua's uncle (since he refused to believe he is actually qinghua's father and it must be his twin brother he resented for being artistic and sensitive). i didnt think you were that close, why are you bothering me?"
qinghua goes on to be an accountant at the company, pretty high up too, and his father ends up quitting out of embarrassment and mobei being especially hard on him once he takes over for the company. he also continues to write his trashy novel while he and mobei plan to get married.
but tbh. i have morrowind brainworms. idk if i will ever finish it. sucks that one of the few stories i had all planned out with cdrama levels of bullshit i was really looking forward to going ham on i lost my motivation for when my hyperfixation changed.
i also wanna finish alduin's bane. i have a lot planned for that i could also spend an insane amount of time explaining. im hoping that the motivation for that one comes back though rather than me simply saying i probably wont finish it
16. What are your writing strengths?
i dont know 🧍‍♂️ if anyone wants to tell me i would appreciate it. i think it is like. i am primarily a romance author so i like working on dialogue, character interaction, stuff like that. ive also gotten compliments on my world building but idk if thats just my ideas or how i write them into the world.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
i feel like i struggle with pacing and motivation. as well as stuff like war tactics and full on battles. again i write mostly romance i dont know why i torture myself with stories about war
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
its very hard. ive seen ppl do it well but i find it difficult to read bc i am stupid. even with notes and flicking back and forth i feel like its a struggle to understand even if the goal was to obfuscate the meaning from the audience as well. usually i just do another language in bold font and make it clear the characters are speaking another language. but honestly do whatever you want forever
19. First fandom you wrote for?
i think it was in fact yugioh. i had ocs and daydreamed up storylines but i dont think i really sat down to write a fic until i was 12-13 and was writing a tendershipping fic in one of my notebooks at school lol
20. Favorite fic you've written?
tie between Alduin's Bane and Moon and Star. i love my long ass TES fics where i just go ham and play around with the world building and mythology. its a lot of fun and i feel like ive gotten to be very creative in the setting and make something unique and fun with the storylines given in both skyrim and morrowind
thanks for the tag <3 this was a lot of fun and thank u for reading if you did
