I don't necessarily think the company of a truly worthy Darkblade as a kind of Broodwer to La'zaar would fix his morbidly depressed self but it might make him less moody...
#OC: La'zaar#''Broodwer'' as a gendered opposite to ''Broodwife''... Too pleased with myself for making this word.#I think the -wer/wife designation would be another way of referring to a consort to a Broodqueen or Broodking.#Not that I consider La'zaar a Broodking... his minimal participation in making brood doesn't really meet that criteria in my eyes.#At most I think you could consider him a ''Broodlord''.#A Broodqueen surely has a spermatheca... La'zaar really does not need to bother much.#The only interest he has held was for a Broodking... who lived in his company for about a century before Ru'thûn got to him.#What a shame... but La'zaar does not mourn the dead.#I think I would consider La'zaar and Ru'thûn soulmates in the sense that they would find one another in every lifetime.#Whether as equals or predator and prey or something nebulous like a scorpion and a frog.#If you cannot survive the constant killing judgement of your broodmate's ride-or-die then you are simply unworthy and that is that.#Quid pro quo... La'zaar has killed plenty of Ru'thûn's Broodwives.
