KARMELA & JULIAN – Los Angeles, Playa Vista Engagement

Early this year, my friend and videographer Candice Nachman introduced me to a bubbly, hip, and downright lovable couple I’d soon come to adore. I met them on a cloudy spring day for their engagement session, and calmed their nerves when they told me they’d never done this before. Every couple out there that’s nervous about your engagement shoot should realize: posing might sound tough, but you know what’s easy? Being in love. That’s all that engagement sessions are about. Karmela and Julian were naturals at it. We played music and games, laughed and danced, and took a whirlwind tour of their neighborhood. They were so incredibly fun to shoot, but not only that, they also were responsible for introducing me to the Dulce De Leche Napoleon cake from Porto's, which I had at their bridal shower (photos forthcoming!). I loved how this session turned out, and I'm so, so excited to be shooting their wedding next month!
