If you're the type of person (allo or not) to oh so "helpfully" remind people that "aces can still love" "aces can still fuck" "not all aces are Loveless prudish freaks" or the like on anything asexualilty related but specifically on shit that is expressly about/from the perspective of Aroaces/non SAM aces/repulsed aces, I genuinely wish the worst for you.
Like we Get it! There's a wrong harmful undesirable way to be ace and it's us!
We get it! The ace community and identity should not be a safe space for us, we shouldn't exist, our existence is a blight, our inability to perform the requisite allonormativity is a moral failing. Asexualilty is totally a spectrum...just not that part of the spectrum because we're icky!
Asexual activism and advocacy should be exclusively based on assimilation into allonormativity and any brand of asexulity that challen that must be quickly shot down, we get it! Aces are all alloromantic and super into fucking and love sex and love reading/writing smut and kink and use the split attraction model and are materially indistinguishable from allosexuals we get it!
#asexual#ace#aphobia#non sam ace#sex repulsed#romance repulsed#We understand now that we are infact not only the “wrong kind of aces” BUT also fundamentally broken and incomplete as human beings#and so we shall all promptly head to the nearest conversion therapy center where#we will be cleansed of our embarrassing defects of aromantism and/or repulsion#we sincerely apologise to the allos for making them uncomfortable & to the alloaces/sex favourables for being forced to share community w us#i will continue to be an asshole about this because fuck y'all honestly lmao#if i could i would explode with my mind the computers/phones of everyone who does this shit

Sexuality and other stuff.
Thank you.
*deep breath*
I am Asexual and Aromantic.
I know you hear me saying how beautiful I think Nines, Connor, and Gavin are, how I also believe Kara is gorgeous too.
But my love of what I can tell is an attractive person is not Sexual. I love looking at them. There are people I love looking at. I don't want to touch or be touched.
I am not proud to be Ace or Aro. Infact I despise this about myself. I really wish I wasn't. I feel broken. And sad. I want to know what it feels like to actually want these things. To feel the intimacy of such actions.
And I don't mean just sex. I want to know what it feels like to want to kiss someone, to want to hold hands.
But I can't. I just can't.
But I love with all of me. In what small ways I can.
I had a partner who I loved. Who I wanted to spend my life with. We were like best friends only we belonged to each other. Knowing we both loved each other.
From before dating to during literally nothing changed.
My love wasn't enough, wasn't good enough. And I wished it could have been.
I could sleep next to them without worry that they'd try anything because they were Ace too. But not aro.
My mom says I just have to wait and I'll like it when I try it. Crap.
I have a libido, just not for anyone.
And looking back I've always been Ace and Aro, but I know what love is.
I had a boyfriend who was 9 years older than me. I was 18 at the time. He was a straight sexual male. I told him about my sexuality. He said he "could wait". I told him I didn't like to be touched but I was willing to "try" take little steps for him. I knew he desired me sexually. He stated so. When he touched me I felt un comfortable. It wasn't anything sexual tho. I could tell he want to feel me as much as I would allow. Then one day on a walk he said this. "When we fuck and we will..." I thought NO. He had already decided that it was going to happen even though I told him I didn't want that or was not comfortable with it.
I broke up with him and stood my ground on not taking him back. I'm proud of myself for that.
I read smut. slow burn is my favorite. I love it because for a moment I get to understand, get a glimpse of what it feels like. To love someone romantically and have this sexual desire for the other. Even if I can't feel such things for myself.
The lack of representation makes me sad. I felt samurai Jack was Ace as he's my favorite cartoon character, but I guess not. I like to think that Connor is Ace which makes me happy.
It's nice know there are others like me.
But how can I be proud of what feels like a curse? I'm defective and broken. I can't get the switches to turn on.
I never talk about it or just my personal problems in general .ie my clinical depression, selfhate, self destructive behavior, and just how I've been treated by crap by so many people. Because I'm not important. My problems aren't as important as my "friend's" problems or anyone else. I'll "get over it."
(Something super personal) I haven't been treated well, my Dad had an ex who he planned to marry. She had a son who um, took advantage of me while I slept on many occasions for many years that I had the unfortunate experience of being awake and too scared to move on two of those occasions. So needless to say the only experience I did have with anything sexual was at the very least unpleasant, and as a result I feel gross and dirty.
(If you've read my story on ao3 Gavin's panic attack was actually mine I had this year due to this past trauma and I was all alone and Scared I might kill myself and I legit told no one I had a major panic attack)
I want to get married. Man woman I don't care. I think I want children. But with the way I am I don't think anyone would want me.
That I'm not worth the trouble. How could I be? When sex or hell even romantic affections is need for a relationship I truly believe I'll be alone forever. That thought scares me. I don't even have real life friends. I never see anyone let alone talk to someone.
As of right now I'm "fine" with being single. But....
Idk. It's hard to feel proud when so many people don't even think it exists.
Im over here being ignored, unseen, abused, objectified, dehumanized. And I just accept it. If I'm treated this way it's because I deserve it. I tell myself these things and i believe all of the degrading shit I tell myself without doubt.
I wonder what I did wrong to be this way, and to be treated this way.
Life has not been kind to me but despite how broken I am, I'm still filled with so much love, so much passion and kindness. I give and give and soon I'll be left with nothing. I do believe my future is grim.
But fuck that's just life they tell me. I'm living for the little things. I guess.
At the end of the day I'm just a stranger. Out of reach but I exist.
I'll sleep in and wake up drink my coffee and do Jack shit with my life.

I don't think you're wrong in what you're doing. Infact, I think it's commendable that you seem to take big portions of time of your day to write things. I'll be real though... facing discourse on Tumblr helps very little. Now I'm not saying that you should stop! Certainly not. But you have to consider the factor that your general response to 'derail' commentary on a social media platform simply do not work. All you do is confuse more readers. You'll also slowly become the people you go against.
THE ONE AND ONLY Ace Leader here to answer a question I guess. To break this whole statement down, let’s look at the core points:
-Facing discourse on Tumblr helps very little
-General response to ‘derail’ commentary on a social media platform simply do not work; only confuse more readers
-Slowly become the people you fight
-Closes asking me to evaluate if my approach is healthy or beneficial to myself and those reading my material
Now, you may ask yourself why I broke all this out of the ask and it’s because I want to highlight the core message of these statements. While there were affirmative statements, they did not pose constructive arguments which is why I have excluded them. While the intent of the ask may have been sincere, the overall message is simply “stop” since the only statements on my actual methods were all various degrees of negative, so let’s learn a few things about The One and Only, shall we?
Let’s start from the very bottom of things: is this healthy or beneficial for myself and those that read my blogging material? We’ll start off with my health and benefits I guess. For the health part of it, engaging in discourse for me is a way that I spend my free time learning and exercising my writing. It’s a form of release for me while also forcing me to strengthen my own knowledge. I’d say that outweighs whatever stress I may feel while researching for some of my answers. To answer the beneficial part of the question, that’s a resounding yes because I spend my time learning the history of a community I would like to support and I get to apply the knowledge I’ve compiled over the course of my life. Knowledge is a powerful thing; utilizing it keeps my mind sharp.
Is it healthy or beneficial for others? Well that’s up to the individual. If your aim is to attack Aces and you to seek out my content and engage strictly with the intent to win some internet points or whatever, you’re actually playing directly into my trap; by wasting your time engaging with me, I have proverbially won this match. That’s not a healthy thing to do, but it is not my choice to take those kinds of actions. If you are interested in exploring the history of the community and engage in my content in earnest, there is much to learn and I look forward to learning from you. This seems very much to me like a mutually beneficial and healthy form of relationship; we may not agree, but by learning to interact with respect, we shall hopefully grow to become better people with a much richer pool of knowledge between us. As for the rest that passively read my material, as long as you’re willfully learning and enjoying the flourish of my rhetoric, I’d imagine it’s beneficial and healthy in that case.
There are, of course, nuances to everything I just mentioned, but at a broad pass, it’s probably not overwhelmingly harmful, especially considering I try to talk about my experiences and shared experiences among Aces to help out others that may be feeling alone. That said, let’s move onto the other points.
I don’t particularly like statements that are made without supporting evidence, but I do also understand the limited space you get in an ask, so I’ll respond to the individual points with the assumption they were made in good faith:
-Facing discourse on Tumblr helps very little
This point strictly depends on what you’re trying to define as my objective. My objective is to derail conversations and rhetoric that attacks Aces specifically on Tumblr. With that in mind, this statement has no merit, as discourse on Tumblr is generally rife with rhetoric and conversations designed to attack Aces. If you’re under the assumption that my objective is actual activism, then I most certainly agree that hanging out on the playground doesn’t do anything to rid the school of bullies, so to speak. That said, I’m not quite ready for that kind of a step yet; I have much to learn and a long ways to go to get my own personal life to a comfortable spot.
-General response to ‘derail’ commentary on a social media platform simply do not work; only confuse more readers
In all fairness, confusing specific readers is almost literally my point. Now, this assertion that derailing commentary on a social media platform does not work doesn’t really seem too well founded in reality. The problem is that social media is a powerful tool, and it’s extremely difficult to objectively measure the impact actions made on it can have. Certainly there will be some readers that walk away confused and unsure of what to think, but there are also readers out there that will find my commentary logical and identify with my statements, logical but disagree with my statements, illogical but agree with my sentiments, illogical but hate my sentiments, and many other senses I imagine. Also, derailing commentary is a way that a lot of politicians avert attention away from themselves when they take less than savory actions, and social media is a powerful tool for executing just that. It can and has been effective to certain ends, and I’m sure studying the history, actions, and dispositions toward the current President of the United States can prove that.
-Slowly become the people you fight
The only way to properly contextualize this statement is if you want to make assumptions about the targets of my posts, and the thing is that I don’t target any specific type of people. The key thing you’re missing is that I’m arguing against statements; people can hold whatever opinions they have, but when they write them down and share them on this platform, I can respond to that. My sincere hope is that the people that end up on the receiving end of my commentary are people that may not have diverse experiences and a nuanced understanding of Asexuality or the history of the LGBT+ community, and that by reading my commentary, they’ll come to learn something and improve themselves. It’s the difference between dismissing your own ignorance and embracing it and accepting that you can and should learn more; as long as I embrace that fact, I cannot become the people that I fight.
Part of the strength in my posts comes from the fact that if somebody has entertained reading them, I have accomplished an objective. There’s information for those that want to learn more, flowery writing for those that enjoy flavor in their history lessons, there’s facts, there’s citations, there’s resources that others may not have known about before. On the opposite end of that, if somebody is looking only to attack Aces, them engaging with my content keeps their attention away from those of us who would rather not get sucked up into some malice fueled fight that nobody actually ever wins, and that’s okay by me.
-The One and Only

A defining moment
"Tum mujhse naraz ho? Bohot jyada naraz ho?"
"Thodasa" said Abir faking anger.
"Lekin tum sirf dost nahi ho Abir. Dost se badhkar ho... aur mai tumhe khud se thodasa bhi naraz nahi rehne dungi!!"
At that very moment Kunal walked in...
And when he saw her standing in the close proximity of his brother, his protective instincts kicked in.
" What are you doing here? Stop buttering bhai, ok? Jab tak mai yahan hoon tumhari daal nahi galne doonga. Mai tumhe bhai ko emotionally manipulate nahi karne dunga. You get that?"
"NANKO!" Abir says " kya bol raha hai..."
"Bhai apko kuch nahi pata. Mai is ladki ko achche se janta hoon. Pehle sympathy gain karegi aur phir apna kaam nikalwa legi apse."
"Shut up Nanko! Ye koi tarika hai baat karne ka?"
"Tum abhi bhi yahi khadi ho? Gayi nahi? Mujhe bhai se important baat karni hai, so you just leave, ok."
Mishti looks at Kunal with a resigned expression. Why does he have to be so difficult every single time!
"Ok" she was about to leave when Abir signals her to stay. "Nanko, Mishti yahaan kaam se ayi hai. Mere school mei bhi aur mere room mei bhi. To use apni baat poori kar lene do. Mai tumse thodi der mei milta hoon."
"Lekin bhai..."
"Nanko..."
"Aisi bhi kaunsi important baat karni hai ise? Kaunsa saal bhar ka balance sheet discuss karne ayi hai jo baad mein nahi aa sakti? Anyways, mai ye keh raha tha ki..."
"Kunal mai Abir se..." says Mishti.
" Will you just shut up?" Kunal almost snapped at her.
"NANKO!!" Abir raised his voice.
He was trying his level best not to lose his cool. But Kunal was now getting on his nerves. He was not going to take Mishti's insult lightly. No one... just no one can dare to insult a lady in front of Abir Rajvansh. And Mishti was special. She, was the love of his life and he will readily give up his own life for her honour. He had decided in that split second that enough is enough. He won't take any crap coming her way, especially from Kunal.
"Kisi posh building ke AC conference room mei table par baithkar dinbhar discussion nahi karta to kya mera kaam important nahi hai? "
"Bhai maine aisa kab kaha?"
"To meri meetings mei itne disturbances kyu aarahe hai?" Abir was curt. And kunal got the message loud and clear. His bhai was upset and he didn't want to be the reason for it.
"Mai apse baad mei milta hoon. Aap pehle apni meeting Khatam kar lo bhai." He shot an angry glance at Mishti and turned to go.
"Jaate wakt darwaza band karte Jana. Mai nahi chahta ki koi mujhe dobara disturb kare."
With that Kunal walked out, silently closing the door behind him.
"I am sorry Mishti. "
"Sorry to mai kahne ayi thi. Tum kyu keh rahe ho?"
"Kunal ko tumse aise baat nahi karni chahiye thi..."
"It's ok. Aur wise bhi usne jo bhi kaha wo important nahi hai."
"To kya important hai Mishti?"
"Tum"
"Kyu?"
"Bas ho."
"Mishti..."
"Abir, pata hai... jab courtship mei thi to badi confused thi mai. Samajh nahi aa raha tha ki rishta sahi hai ya nahi. Upar se bahar Walon ke taane, gharwalon ke expectations... mai decision nahi le pa rahi thi. Wait kar rahi thi ki koi ishara mile. Har baar tumhari raye janana chahti thi. Tab nahi samjh pai, par ab janti hoon ki tum kitne important ho. Tum kya sochte ho, wo mere liye kitna important hai."
"Mai kabhi kuch bhi aisa nahi karna chahti jo tumhe achcha na lage. Mai apni life mei bahut kuch kho chuki hoon. Humari dosti mere liye Sab kuch hai. Mai is dosti ko nahi khona chahti. Mai tumhe nahi khona chahti Abir! "
Mishti turned away from him. She was facing the mirror now. Looking at him in the mirror, she said,
"Mai aisa koi decision nahi lena chahti jo humari dosti ko affect kare. I hope you understand Abir..." Abir was also looking at her in the mirror.
He was keenly observing her. He wanted to gauge where all this was headed. At the same time, he didn't want to push her. Mishti was already stressing herself by revisiting her unpleasant memories and he didn't want to add up to the pressure that was mounting on her. He genuinely wanted to comfort her. He was longing to ease her worries and wipe out her insecurities. But at her pace. He did not want to rush. That would only complicate matters.
He wanted to help her. "Tum is baat ki tension bilkul mat lo. Ye dosti jitni tumhare liye important hai utni hi mere liye bhi hai. I do understand your feelings... Mishti." He said with an understanding smile.
"No you don't..."
"Mishti" he said "tumhe jitna time lena hai tum le sakti ho. Mai yahi hoon. Tumhe chodkar kahi nahi jaunga."
"Kitni ajeeb baat hai na Abir, jab time chahiye tha to koi dene ke liye tayyar nahi tha. Aur ab..."
"Ab kya?"
At times it takes forever to take a small decision in life, just because we keep waiting for the right moment. But sometimes its only a split second thats needed to take life's most important decisions. That was exactly what was happening with Mishti!
" I am scared Abir. Mujhe taane sunne ki aadat hai. Jab khushiyan aati hai to dar lagta hai... phir se disappoint hone ka."
"Tumhe mujhpar, humare rishte par kya itna bhi bharosa nahi hai ?"
"Mujhe apni kismat par bharosa nahi hai. Jo khushiyan dikhayi de rahi hai, pata nahi unpar mera hak hai bhi ya nahi... "and she faced him.
Abir lovingly put his hand on her head. He said "Ye khushiyan tumhari hi hain Mishti. Ab inhe accept karna hai ya jane dena hai, wo tumhe khud decide karna hai. Just remember one thing. I'll always stand by you. No matter what you decide."
" I think humein ab bahar chalna chahiye. Kaafi der ho gayee hai. " with that, he walked out of the room...
Abir came out of the room and almost bumped into Kunal and Kuhu!
...When Abir patted on her head, she felt as if a huge burden was being lifted off her head. She felt so calm and composed now.
She noticed the picture of heart was still in her hand. She smiled looking at it. She rushed out to find Abir. She had finally made her decision and she wanted to tell him that... and so much more!
Outside the room, Abir was surprised to find Kunal and Kuhu together. Them being together was not really a surprise but what they had done was definitely surprising. It was dusk already and the whole school campus was lit up with fairy lights!
"Bhai! Why did you take so long? See what we have done? Un gundon ke pakde Jane ki khushi mei Humne saare school ko decorate kiya hai. Humne poore school premises mei apke favourite lights laga diye hai. kaisa laga apko humara surprise?"
Abir was still processing all this, when Mishti rushed outside.
"Abeeeeerr...."
He turned back to see her running towards him. Why was she yelling at the top of her voice? Was something wrong? Did she hurt herself inside? All kinds of thoughts came flooding into his head and he was so overwhelmed by the site of her rushing towards him!
"Kya Hua? Tum theek to ho? Kahin chot to nahi aayi na? Aise kyu chilla rahi thi?"
"Mai theek hoon. Tumhe kuch batana tha. Infact, tumse kuch kehna tha."
"Oye tragedy queen, pehle saans to lele. Aisa bhi kya excitement hai?" Said Kuhu.
Kunal was as always irritated by her appearance.
"Jo bhi bolna hai baad mei bolna. Abhi mai bhai ko lighting dikhane le ja raha hoon." "Chaliye bhai..."
Mishti side stepped Kunal and handed over the picture of heart to Abir. He looked at the picture, then at her. Even before he could react she said, "Maine decide kar liya hai Abir. Mujhe khush rehna hai."
A small grin made its way on Abir's face.
Mishti held both his hands and kneeled down in front of him...
"Jiss se bhi Milte ho use apna bana lete ho,
Parayon ke liye bhi tum jaan ki bazi lagaa dete ho!
Jab bhi milte ho, kuch naya sikhate ho,
Har mushkil ko meri tum door bhagaate ho!"
Abir couldn't believe his ears! Mishti was actually proposing him!!
"Kabhi kabhi sochti hoon tum itne lambe kaise ho,
insaan ho ya koi khambe ho!!"
Buy now the small grin had turned into a huge smile. He knelt down facing her. They were at eye level now, still holding each other's hands. She continued...
"Shayari karte ho badi funny,
You are super cute like a bunny..
Itne ajeeb ho, lekin kitne cool ho!
Garden ka phool ho ya mechanic ka koi super tool ho?"
Mishti was in her element now and Abir was on cloud nine!
"Jaise bhi ho bahut achche ho,
Tum dost bade sachche ho!
SOS call Hamare ho,
Tum pass ho to iraade humare nek kaise ho?
Tumhare bina Chalegi nahi life mein scooty ho ya car,
You are my stepney mere yaar!
Mister ajeeb insaan,
Tum ban gaye ho meri jaan!"
"Mishti!!" Abir was spellbound by her way of expression. Probably for the very first time in his life, he was falling short of words.
"Tumhare pyar mein ghayal hai ek voilent Sherni...
Forever ke liye tumhari ho gayi yeh tumhari angry chorni!"
It felt like eternity when they were lost in each other. Kunal gulped hard and Kuhu's eyes were bulging out of their eye sockets in disbelief.
Finally Abir got up and helped Mishti get back on her feet. Her face was radiating happiness. Mishti wiped a lone tear that ran down Abir's face.
He held her hand on his cheek for a moment and then kissed her palm.
The hopelessly in love, die hard romantic poet in Abir finally found a few words to express his feelings...
"Muddaton ke baad hogi ye baat bhi poori,
Nahi rahegi humari kahaani ab adhoori.
Kayi mushkilon ke baad, aya hai haathon mein apka haath,
Wada karte hai har kadam par nibhayenge hum apka saath.
Hai kasam pyar ki humein, ye haath nahi chodenge,
Bharosa kiya hai jo apne, kabhi nahi todenge.
Anmol the moti jo apki ankhon se bahe...
Kayi gum masoom se is dil ne sahe..
Ab in palkon mei sapne basayenge,
Hum apka anchal sitaron se sajayenge.
Is dil ka har dard mitayenge,
Yeh pyar hum mar kar bhi nibhayenge!"
They embraced each other, with Mishti resting her head on his bare chest (he had still not buttoned his shirt!) And he gently held her at her waist.
The two soulmates found their way to each other's heart. Their future seemed as bright as the fairy lights. And the bright starry sky watching over the lovely couple as their guarding angel.
What a lovely sight to behold! 😍

4-6]Hey dears Here I finally done a reference of my Tamber I wanted to use colors close to the anime ones. (By ‘Anime ones’, she’s saying she was trying to copy the Sonic X color scheme.)
(Oh yeah, we’re going there today.)
Buenas Tardes, everyone. I’ve been procrastinating on making this review for almost three weeks now. No hedgehogs were hurt in the making of this review.
Her swimsuit can also be different, not only red She can have pastel colored swimsuit. (Pastel is not a color.)
EDIT: Added some informations and NEW re-drawn reference sheet, better designed than before! (Are you sure about that?)
Hope you like and it can be more useful! ouo (Useful for what? Don’t tell me you thought there would be fan works for this monster.)
Tamber Mizuki / 水月 ・ タムベル (Tamuberu Mìzukì) (I don’t understand why you desire so badly to be Japanese. Stop that. It’s not cool.)
The current ''opposing'' (meaning the appearance) reflection of Maria for Shadow. (Nope, no, no no no no no. Stop that, no mirrors allowed. Stop. Stop.)
Complete name: Tamber ''Alexandra-Sophia'' Mizuki. (If your character is so “anime desu-ne”, why can’t you stay consistent with you names? This is just a bunch of your favorite names smashed together with no real meaning.)
Name: Tamber (タムベル) -Tamuberu-
Surname: Mizuki (みずき) -Mìzukì- (Mizuki can be written 水月 too. It means ''water moon'', in fact 水 is the kanji of ''water'' and one of the various meanings of 月 is ''moon''. She controls wind/air and with this power she can control water too creating ''bubbles'' through the atmosphere.) (AUGH NO THAT’S NOT HOW THAT WORKS STOP IT. THIS IS A SONIC OC FUCK OFF WITH YOU MAGICAL POWERS)
Nicknames: Tamby, Tam, Mizuki-san/chan, Tamber-san/chan, Tammi, Tama/Tama-chan/Tenshi, Tamber-sama, Senpai.
Age: 20 (YOU’RE 20 AND PEOPLE STILL CALL YOU SENPAI AND TENSHI??????)
Motherland: Lolimus Island, land of the winds. Lolimus is one of 6 close secret islands, in the Pacific Ocean, near Japan. (obviously, these islands are imaginary). (Why can’t you animu OC creators pick somewhere REAL to live for once?)
Current Residence: Central City in Sonic Universe since she was 6/7 years old (That’s not cliche at all.); Snowdin in Undertale Universe since she was 7 years old. (WAIT JUST A MINUTE)
Eyes: Red (Ha ha, it’d be so edgy if she made her hair bla-)
Hair: Black (Shit.)
Height: 166 cm
Weight: 116 lbs (She’s almost 10 pounds underneath of the minimum average weight of a girl that tall. What the fuck.)
D.O.B: 24 July (National tequila day AND national drive-thru day.)
Zodiacal Sign: Leo
Blood Type: 0+ (I think you mean O+.)
Sizes: 97-65-89 (Christ, she’s a size large [12-14] in the bust, and a size small [4-6] in the waist and hips. I understand that not all proportions will be the same size, but holy hell, that’s a HUGE difference.)
Bust size: around E (I hate that to you, this just means ‘big boobs’. Let’s think about this for a minute. Tamber is 5′4. She’s a size small in the hips and waist, but a size large in the bust. Her cup size is E, making her bra size 38E. Above all of this, she’s AT LEAST 11 lbs. underweight. This body type is extremely improbable, almost completely absurd.)
Favourite Food: Sushi, Udon, litchi fruit, cupcakes, strawberries, lollipops, puddings, Pocky, macarons, donuts. (THIS IS THE MOST ANIMU DIET EVER. MOE MOE DIABETES.)
Bio: Don't be tricked by her usual outfit, she loves black and gothic dresses too. She likes this kind of outfits but she also likes pastel colored clothes with cute kitties or just cute images. <3
She is a quite and beautiful girl, kind and fascinating. (Ma~ry Su~ue *clap clap clapclapclap) She born in a clear night, with a big full moon. (Why does this matter?) Since the death of her family, she didn't and couldn't smile properly and she was a inespressive girl to everyone (Smiling is a natural human reaction. Even when faced with grief, someone who is completely mentally stable should still be able to smile.) (like Yuki Nagato from Suzumiya Haruhi if you know her).
She was traumatized loosing people she loved a lot and being bullied a lot at school because many girls were envious of her.
She is intelligent and crafty.
Caring and kind with everyone, she loves stay with friends, but often she likes stay at home alone. Drawing and cooking are two of her hobbies.
She has always admired very much her sister Hana since she was young: for her, Hana was a point of reference She was legated very much to Discharge too, she always has protected her little sister (You heard that right; someone named their child Discharge.)
Tamber used to have longer hair (like her sister Hana) when she was young (she let it grow since she was 6, when she thought to have lost her family), then when she turned 16 she got the hair that she has now. (She didn’t cut it or anything, it’s just magically like that.) Her body always has been pretty skinny, besides her chest when she grown up. (nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh)
Sometimes she could be very impatient and grumpy: impatient above all when she has to go to save one of her friends in danger or when she wants to do immediatly something (”Aw man, your life is in danger? Look, I don’t have time to be a caring friend here, I have a life to live. God, you just have to be in danger. Now I have to go save you. Ugh.”); grumpy above all when she is irritated by people.
She is also a girl with two personality. She is a Yandere, and she would literally kill for the persons she loves and/or for her own love.
(Let’s clear something up together, shall we? Dissociative Identity Disorder, or DID, doesn’t exactly make someone into a violent, dangerous person. Normally it’s the opposite as a lot of people who have it were abused at some point in their lives in a way that makes most people who have it passive. That’s not to say that there aren’t violent cases of DID, but when there are, it’s likely one of the person’s alters. They don’t see themselves as the same person as their alters. Most of the time, the anger and aggression is targeted towards the inside, and they can be abusive and aggressive towards the alters in the inside world [Matulewicz, Crystalie. “Dissociative Living”]. Dissociative Identity Disorder does not turn you into a possessive “yandere” who would kill someone in cold blood. That is an inaccurate representation often shown through movies and games.)
-Extra curiosities of bio: she is the portrait of her mother about the face, but the black hair are from her father.
Weak points: when somebody tells bad about her, her love, her family and her friends... and maths (I don’t believe someone talking shit about you is a weakness.)
Relationship: It can be variable since I have not a main couple anymore, I have more for other series I love! Lightbulb
-Shadow the Hedgehog Robotnik (boyfriend and future husband)
-Yamaru Midori (boyfriend) (belongs to TheBoss5095)
-Jack Spicer (fallen in love with him) with Xiaolin Tamber in my personal Xiaolin Showdown story-
-Tamber x Phoenix/Ryuuchi (Ace Attorney -not posted in DA, only in my mind)
-Tamber and Sans (Undertale) living along with Papyrus and afterwards Frisk too, as ''family'’.
Alignement: Neutral (since she is a Yandere, she is very sweet, but evil if something to her loved people happens)
Formation: Speed/Agility. (SHE IS WEARING A MINISKIRT AND FLATS.)
Dere character type: Yandere
Power: Psicokinesis and wind control (she can manage the wind, and with this power she can control water too, creating ''bubbles'' through the atmosphere. This reminds also the meaning of her surname. Even some members of her family has this power as well.). (Stop. Stop. You are a Sonic X/Undertale character. That is enough. Say no to drugs.)
But they are a bit additional, she doesn't use them very often besides dangerous moments, she lives her life as a normal person.
Likes: Her family (relatives, parents and her sisters), her love (occasionally. There are other characters I paired with her from other series in my stories), animals (above all cats and birds), the good of the others and japanese food.
Hates: in Sonic story Metarex, Black Arms, Dr. Eggman, Amy Rose (Tamber considers her a bit annoying.) (As do most Mary Sue characters who are married to Shadow.) and in Undertale story Mettaton (she considers him too vain). (Mettaton. That’s it. She loves EVERYTHING ELSE.)
Story:
--I have and I write here the two main stories (I have more couples with my character too!)--
--My Sonic universe story--
Prologue: Tamber born in the island of Lolimus. She has lost her family and her sisters Hana and Discharge when she was 6. At her 6th birthday, a quite day as the others, is happened a cataclysm in her land. In the mess on this cataclysm, she has lost sight of her parents but at least she was taken by hand by her sister Hana (at the time, Hana was 8 and Discharge was 4). When they have taken also the little Discharge, they ran away again. When the sisters were out of the castle, (Why was she in a castle??) Hana has made that she, Tamber and Discharge could escape from it hiding and then going to the Central Island. But something is gone wrong: the cataclysm made a big disaster and the bidge they were crossing broke. Tamber could arrive in the other side, but Hana, before falling totally with Discharge keeping theirselves with an hand to the cliff, has begged her to promise her this: to be a strong girl. (An 8-year-old would not say that before dying. An 8-year-old would say “AAAAAAAAAAAA”) Infact when Tamber was young, she was too shy, defenseless and closed, she never reponsed about anything. Tamber could not help them and she regreted it for her entire life. She thought to have lost her family forever, but she found out they were still alive. (How does an 8-year old and a 4-year-old survive falling off a bridge? That’s a common method of suicide, y’know.)
The meeting with Shadow, her future love, happens to Prison Island. (How did she get to Prison Island?) Tamber and Chris were trying to seach Sonic. (She’s like 20 years old. How did she meet Chris? Why is she hanging out with a little boy on a dangerous prison island?) When Shadow creates the Chaos Control to save Rouge from the explosion of Prison Island, Tamber and Chris were in the same room of Rouge and when Shadow is appeared, he was immediatly ready to teleport him and Rouge. Rouge didn't want to leave the others but Shadow didn't care them. Tamber begs Shadow to bring them too away the Prison (How does she know who Shadow is?). She has finished the sentence with the famous words ''I beg you Shadow'', Maria's same words (EW. EW NO. YOU NEED TO STOP RIGHT NOW.), and Shadow notices that Tamber was too similar to Maria Robotnik. Space Colony ARK, the place where Shadow and Tamber were able to share the love. On the ARK it's happened an incident where Tamber, while she was esaping with Shadow, she got hit/''shooted'' from behind. She sacrificed herself for the others to save them and send them in the safe part of the ARK. Shadow never forgot the expression of Tamber after the sacrifice, and before that she was falling down.
(Hold on a minute. So, Tamber, at the end of everything, is 20 years old. She was born on an imaginary island in Japan, but escaped to Central City at 6 years old. She stays here long enough to meet Chris and Sonic, and goes to Prison Island to live out the events of SA2. How is it, then, that she was at the Space Colony ARK with Maria and Shadow 50 years BEFORE the events of SA2? She wouldn’t even have been alive, and there’s nothing here that states that Tamber ever left Earth. It makes no sense at all.)
After that, Shadow disappeared into the incident on the ARK (Sonic Adventure 2), Tamber, survived, was no longer the same, and enrolled her in an army for the defense of the planet Earth during the battle versus the Metarex. (WHERE DID SHE FIND THE TIME TO ENROLL INTO THE ARMY???)
(infact she has enrolled to it because she wanted, of course, to save the family. When she enrolled, the army discovered that there were various prisoners too into one of the Metarex's spaceships, in fact the Metarex talked to her personally about her family. For them they were ''one of the precious powerful resources'' to use to control the universe -They are an ESP family, so they were pretty powerful-
Behind the scenes hint: Her sisters has been ''rescued'' and then kidnapped along with the parents. Her family has been captured by Metarex during the cataclysm caused by them, triggered by them for the conquest of the Universe. ((Metarex attacked this part of the Earth for a Chaos Emerald there.)). (I’VE NEVER BEEN THIS CONFUSED WHEN READING AN OC PROFILE. EVEN MYSTIC WAS EASIER TO UNDERSTAND THAN THIS.)
She met Molly, another girl enrolled there. That time she has met again Shadow for case <3 Glad to see him, she has tried to talk with him. But she saw Shadow did not remember anything of her. Tamber, upset, has tried to do anything to make him to remember. For a bit of time, she has been at his side. The final battle was there and the main base of Metarex was near. Many soldiers died, Tamber's new friend Molly too. She was even more upset, confused.. she lost another friend, Shadow still didn't remember and the family was still kept on the base. She was in the panic and she wanted to attack the Metarex. When she wanted to attack trying to commit a sacrifice, like she has done on the ARK, while going near Shadow, randomly, did the same expression of that time and Shadow has remembered everything.
Many shots attacked Tamber, but everyone thought that she got hit. In reality, she disappeared in the base and Shadow, being upset, attacked by himself the Metarex. (I’m so fucking done with this OC and we still have another biography to get through.)
Tamber and Shadow met again each other at the end on the Blue Typhoon. It was thought that Tamber was dead (Again), but escaped (Again) with a fake fragment of a Chaos Emerald that Sonic gave her time before, when they were on the ARK. In the end, the family of Tamber was saved, and all thanks to Shadow too <3 After all those sad moments, Tamber passed good times with her sisters Hana and Discharge, finally after many years <3
After some years, Tamber and Shadow married and they had children: Maria ''Noriko'' Mizuki Robotnik, Corinne ''Aya'' Mizuki Robotnik and the littlest Mia ''Kuri'' Mizuki Robotnik (These nicknames make no sense.)
(They had them when Shadow, by mistake, became an human because a strange machinery created by Eggman, and during those years, he and Tamber had their daughters before Eggman would have found an opposite machinery.)
“This explains Diddly Rosquatnik” -Mod Meganekko
And the ''adventures'' are not finished yet (*CRIES IN SPANISH*), they will pass good moments with friends after many time, like the Blackmoon family (belongs to 7marichan7 <3) and the family of Samarah (belongs to BubblyFoxy <3), the families that Tamber knew already (she is best friend with Mari and Samarah since they were more young <3), (I don’t understand why this matters.) where Maria, Corinne and Mia will find their best friends; the meeting with Silver, the future hedgehog, (which is thought he is the possible their fourth son) (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOO), Blaze and many others. <3
(Sorry for this long story, but I'm not good with brief summaries and I have prolonged >n<')
--My Undertale universe story--
Prologue: Tamber is the real third ‘’secret’’ child who fallen down. (So she dies. Excellent.)
When Tamber was a child, at the age of 7, fell down into the UNDERGROUND because she didn't like the surface. (Are you fucking kidding me?) She was bullied at school, which made her a morally weak person and one day she lost her family in a fire of her house set by some people that used to bully her. (Being bullied at school is certainly tragic, but no group of schoolkids will go as far as to kill the victim’s family.) She was desperate so she didn't know what to do with her life. Toriel found her when she fallen down, which was friend with Tamber's family (when MONSTER still lived on the surface) and she recognized her because she looked like to her mother, Toriel and Asgore’s childhood friend. (Toriel and Asgore were both alive during the war, yes, but Boss Monsters live much, much longer than humans. The war took place a looooooooong time before the events of Undertale, so if she was the third soul, then that would mean that the monsters would’ve been locked underground for quite a while. Her parents likely weren’t even born until after the war.) Toriel could not keep her at her house that time so she asked to Gaster if he could keep her and making her maybe ''sister'' for Sans and Papyrus.
MONSTERS would have killed the human, but Toriel and Asgore warned the citizens she was an exception due to the friendship the two goat-guys had with Tamber’s parents years before. Little Tamber joined the ‘’skeleton family’’ (few years later Gaster disappeared, they started to live alone in the house).
When she just arrived in the skeleton family's house, the tv was turned on and was telling about the recent news about the surfare and it shown even the disgrace of Tamber's family (they were the rules of a pretty big country near the Mt. EBOTT): the news told that no bodies of the 5 of the family had been found (Of course not, her family always has to survive to see their little demon-child all grown up) -In fact, many years later, she will meet her sister Hana, which lived her life on the surface (and which Papyrus will fall in love with xD)
and her other sister Discharge, before going to meet Tamber after knowing about her after the barrier broke. Little Tamber fell asleep due to her desperation before she could hear about the news, so she never knew about her sister alive.
Tamber, growing up and during the years, started to be very strong morally and ever managed to use magic (she managed to use gaster blasters above all as final attack, and her main shoots are floating muskets-like, shooting rays); (UGH, UGH, UGH, UUUUUGH)
She made friends with Undyne (helping her with cook), Aphys (having same ''otaku'' interests), and fallen in love with Sans.
She has a double personality (she is very sweet, but she is a yandere), which properly appeared due to her bad experiences and she got it from her mother too: she would litterally kill to protect Sans and the other people she cares about.
She loves bad jokes, cooking and staying along with friends, Papyrus and above all Sansy. (End my life.)
Tamber hates humanity like Chara did, but when Frisk arrived she seen that some humans could be innocent too and not only like the bullies she used to face off. (She was the THIRD SOUL. She would’ve had to see four other humans run through the underground before Frisk. FRISK WAS THE EIGHTH SOUL, TAMBER WOULD’VE BEEN ANCIENT BY THE TIME THEY CAME THROUGH.)

Ignited Chapter 2- Nova
Pairing: Dan Howell/ Phil Lester and PJ Liguori/ Chris Kendall
Rating: M
Warnings: Swearing and eventual fluff/smutt
Word Count: 5,849 (whoops)
Summary: AU superpowers. The lights has been there for as long as Dan can remember. It’s apart of him and he can’t help but love the light. But sometimes the burning and itching under his skin won’t leave until it shines bright and illuminates the sky.
Dan’s life changes forever when he is trust into a world of magic and mystery inside the walls of the Nova Institute for the Exceptionally Gifted and Talented. Dan Howell/Phil Lester, PJ Liguori/ Chris Kendall.
Notes: It took so much willpower for me not to call this chapter “You’re a Nova, Daniel.”
Link to Chapter 1: Lumos
It’s ridiculously green. Every mile the car moves, more and more trees seem to appear, and Dan supposes he understands the need for secrecy, the need to hide, but he hadn’t even realized there was any place like this left in the world. The only explanation his mind can even come up with for something as massive as this is someone from the school keeping the forest growing, maybe even hidden from the rest of the world, and the thought of it kind of terrifies him.
There’s an entire world out here that Dan didn’t even know he was a part of, and now he’s being indoctrinated into it in the scariest and most insane way possible - by literally being dragged out into the middle of nowhere. Somehow, he’s the only one concerned about this.
“Are you excited, honey?” his mum asks, and Dan can hear the excitement clear in her voice. He knows, given the chance, she would live on campus with him for his entire term at the Nova Institute, just to witness all the incredible things they both know they’re about to be introduced too.
“I guess so,” he replies, though if he’s honest, he’s really not sure. He’s happy to have the chance to gain control over his abilities, which only seem to have increased in tenacity throughout the years, and he’s happy to get away from the all consuming, suffocating mass of his parents obsession over his powers, but he’s also terrified, because he knows that, once he’s on campus, he’ll be expected to use his powers, and that is really not something he wants to do.
Only part of it has to do with how many times his parents have told him he has to be careful, to avoid anyone seeing him, though. He’s dangerous. This thing he can do with the light is terrifying, and it wouldn’t be the first time he’d hurt someone if something went wrong at this new school.
“Don’t be like that, honey, I’m sure it’s going to be great!” his mum says, her voice cheery. Frankly, Dan wishes she could attend in his place. Maybe there was someone on campus who could transfer his powers, and then he might feel safe.
“I’m just nervous, mum,” he reassures her. He doesn’t turn away from the window, staring blankly at the tree’s as they blur past him instead.
“You’re going to do great. I’ll visit you every second weekend -” as he’d known she would, “and I’m sure you’re going to progress really well. There are so many teachers and students there who will help you, I’m sure. Before you know it, you’ll have mastered every aspect of this crazy thing you can do,” she promises. Dan can practically feel her grin piercing into the back of his head.
“Yeah, you’re right,” he agrees, but he’s not so sure he believes her.
--
It’s a whirlwind, the minute they reach the campus. The school is huge, dark, and looming - practically a castle. It looks expensive, almost exactly like what a high class ‘specialist’ school would look like. The kind of ones you see on the TV that you don’t think was actually possible.
The Nova school however, exceeds those expectations.
Dan doesn’t have much time to take it in, though, as he finds himself being greeted by some sort of escort not three minutes after he’s climbed out of the car. His mother beside him is over joyed, beaming everywhere she looks. Nerves are pulsating through Dan, because while this is somewhat amazing, it’s also terrifying.
“Daniel I presume?” A lady greets him as he enters. Dan can only assume he’s in the foyer. It’s huge, complete with a large reception area - a desk surrounded by glass windows.
“Yeah,” Dan confirms. His mother on the other hand, holds out her hand in greeting.
“I’m Carol Howell.”
“Excellent, lovely to meet you both!” The receptionist replies, smiling widely. She’s not too old. Infact, she doesn’t look much older then someone in their mid 20’s, and it makes Dan wonder, is she like him? Does she have an ability to? “I’m Vanessa Evans. Welcome to the Nova Institute for the Exceptionally Gifted.”
She shuffles over to her desk momentarily, pulling out a few forms.
“We just have a few documents we need you to sign Mrs. Howell. And while that’s underway, we’ll go ahead and get going with Daniel's tour and show him to his new room. We’ll have someone take your bags from the car shortly.”
His mother nods, taking the paperwork easily, though she looks a little put out that she won’t be going on the tour with Dan. The expression on her face informs him that he’ll be grilled about everything later, and he suppresses a loud sigh. Dan’s mum wishes him well, promising him that they’ll see each other soon, and then Dan is whirled away through an abundance of corridors and wide open spaces.
“You’ve actually had excellent timing. We have a new student starting today also. He should just be waiting in the main hall.”
Dan’s mind reels, there's a main corridor? As opposed to the hundred he feels like they just walked through? Dan’s never been good with directions, and by the sounds of it, this place is one giant maze.
Eventually, they turn down a hall much grandeur than the last few one’s they’ve traversed through, and Dan realizes they’d taken his mother and him through a side entrance of the school, as opposed to the front, as he’d expected. It only takes one glance around the new hall for Dan to understand why - when people come looking, wondering what the hell this place is, the teachers probably don’t want them to see the artifacts and strange looking statues surrounding the hall.
There’s something much more magical about this area of the school, and it suddenly hits Dan that he’s really here. The receptionist, or whoever she is, very well could be just like Dan, or she might not be, but there’s not doubt about where he is any longer.
He’s in a school full of people nearly as strange as he is.
The main hall is long, and Vanessa takes it at a brisk walk while Dan glances around him, taking in the way the school seems to make his skin prickle in a way different than his own powers do, but similar at the same time. It’s not until he finally glances forwards that he realizes the student Vanessa had mentioned before was already standing in the middle of the hall.
Dan’s eyebrows raise. The other student is pale, and he’s ruffling his brown hair, waiting somewhat awkwardly in the middle of the room.
“Christopher Kendall, meet Daniel Howell.” Vanessa greets as they finally meet up with him in the middle of the room. Vanessa’s smiling just as warmly as before at them both, and somehow, it seems to put Dan at ease. Chris just gives a short sort of wave, and Dan lets out a small breath, completely grateful that there is someone else just starting. At least he won’t be the only new kid.
“Alright, well. It seems the professor is running a little late. He was meant to meet us here, but there’s no sign of him just yet. He’ll be the one to take you on your tour, get you situated, and let you know all that you need to know. In the meantime, I’ve really got to go. There’s much to get organized now that we’ve got two new arrivals, and I’ll need to get your schedules printed. If you don’t mind waiting here, he shouldn’t be too long,” she explains, her smile sympathetic as she gives a little wave and turns on her heel to leave. Her footsteps are just as brisk as before, and before they know it, she’s gone.
Dan can feel his abilities beginning to prickle under his skin now that they’re alone, fear and nerves fueling the small fire just under his skin. He wills himself to calm down a bit, but it’s hard when he’s never been in a situation like this.
“So,” Chris states suddenly from right next to him. Dan jumps. Chris's voice has a northern ring to it, which isn’t anywhere close to where they are. It sounds like he might have come a long way to be here. Maybe he has more reason to be nervous then Dan does.
“What’s your ability?”
For a moment, Dan just stares at him, half in surprise, half in offense. He’s never been asked that before, because no one is supposed to know, and yet here he is in a school designed for individuals with abilities, unsure how to respond. Are you even supposed to ask that? He doesn’t know
“I, uh-” he mutters, sputtering a little bit at his at a loss for words. “I can, create light- sort of. It’s complicated,” he tries to explain, his voice low and probably difficult to understand. Dan knows he’s mumbling, but talking about his powers makes him feel vulnerable. He half expects Chris to demand Dan show him, and he doesn’t want to.
He’ll never forget what he did to those kids, back when they all thought it was just fun and games.
Chris looks at him. “Create light- sort of?”
Dan freezes, because the voice that just came out of Chris’ mouth is, in fact his own.
“Are you...you can repeat people? I mean, like what they say?”
Dan suddenly finds himself grinning slightly. Because okay, yeah, that is kind of cool.
“Mimicry,” Chris clarifies. “I used to ace drama class.”
He doesn't get time to respond, because the professor finally enters the hall then, and to Dan’s surprise, he’s actually one of the guys he’s met before.
“Nice to see you again, Daniel, and you too Chris,” he greets. The sound of his voice is surprising, because he didn’t actually say anything last time they met, and Dan feels a little intimidated, because he’s even more authoritative than his partner had been.
His words register after a moment, and he bites his lip. He doesn’t actually know how the professor had managed to meet them both when they’d just arrived at the academy on the same day, and he’s left to assume Chris might have taken a little longer to get here, but then again, he doesn’t know what power this guy has.
“First and foremost, my names Tobias, but the students here generally call me professor T,” the professor states. “Usually we do a tour of the school first. However, I’ve noticed on your schedules that you’re in the same practical class. I thought it would be good for you to watch some of your fellow students first, and maybe get acquainted.”
Swallowing, Dan’s sure his heart skips a beat. He nervously glances at Chris out of the corner of his eye. He can’t read his expression, but Dan’s willing to bet he’s just as nervous as Dan when he starts to subconsciously fidget with his fringe again. He follows alongside Chris and Professor T, though, once they start moving, and keeps his eyes on his surroundings.
They wander through more hallways, until they’re kind of outside.
They pass what Dan assumes is the Classroom area of the school, which seems to be divided via a huge courtyard, and that’s when Professor T begins talking.
“School life here won’t be that much different from what you’re accustomed too. From 8:30 to 2, you’ll attend classes the same as you always have. You’ll continue where you left off in your year, learning maths, English, and science. The biggest difference you’ll find in your morning curriculum will come from history, where you’ll learn where you came from, and what you are. We are what we would call the Nova generation, but I’ll let your history professor get you caught up on all of that,” he explains, voice loud in the courtyard. There are no students about, which confuses Dan.
It’s already a quarter past 3. Shouldn’t there be students milling about?
“There’s no Physical Education, however. Instead, at 2:30 sharp, you’ll attend your Practicals. That’s where we’re headed now. Practicals will be where you use your powers in a safe environment in order to learn control and understand your full abilities. The facility and administration at the Nova Institute have split up the students into notable groups composed of each different type of power. Every group contains as much of a variety as possible. This is done to prevent competition, and to help you focus on your own growth, rather than watching someone with a similar power outstrip you,” Professor T explains. Dan glances at Chris, realizing suddenly that it is a bit strange that he will be taking a class where he’s meant to use and explore his powers with someone whose power is a far cry from his own.
“However, there is more to it than that. You will find, as you grow older, that not all Nova are good, and their abilities match that. By exposing you to as many types of powers as possible, we hope to give you the best chance possible to defend yourselves.. knowing and understanding the kinds of abilities that a Nova can have will help you to best judge a situation and by therefore expect what your opponent might be capable of, and, consequently, how to defend yourselves, and potentially others, against them.”
The very thought of having to defend himself against another human being terrifies Dan, and he suddenly wishes he could just go home. He nearly stops moving altogether, except Professor T has began to walk faster, almost as if he’s forcing Dan and Chris not to dwell on what he’s said in favor of keeping up with him. Dan doesn’t doubt that’s exactly what he’s trying to do, and stretches his legs out longer to keep up.
“You’ve actually come on the perfect day. Friday’s are for sparring. What you’re about to see is your first proper introduction to the world you were born into. I hope you’re ready,” the man summaries, and suddenly, they’re entering an underground tunnel that Dan had most definitely not seen coming.
He gasps as he’s suddenly enveloped by cold air, and shivers, glancing around him as the environment shifts from one of a very elite castle-based school, to something much more grungy and earthy.
The further they walk, the more the tunnel opens up, until they’re standing in a walkway very similar to the halls of the school, wide enough for large groups of students to pass through easily. The air becomes a little less chilly, a little less foreboding, and then they’re stood in a very large room not unlike the huge main hallway that Dan has a feeling is directly above them.
How much more of this school is there that Dan doesn’t know exists? It feels like there are more secrets here than can ever be revealed. Rather than exciting him, this only fills Dan with more anxiety.
Tobias turns to them.
“This is the main entrance. Just as there’s the main hall in the main school above us, there is a main hallway and entrance down here. There are multiple entrances to the practicals room, as it’s nearly as large as the school above, and each entrance is used by different students, depending on their needs. Just as you’ll find out later, there are maps placed in every room to help you navigate to where you need to go. Your practicals group is in room number B84, down the East Corridor. We’ll need to be fast if we want to catch any of the actual sparring before your classmates leave.”
And then they’re off again. Dan can see that Chris is just as overwhelmed as Dan is by all of this new information being thrown at him, and it helps to calm him a bit, frightened as he is. They turn down another few hallways, Dan watching as they go past room after room, placards hanging next to doors to tell them where they are. Every fifteen feet or so, Dan’s not sure, he see’s a map, clearing indicating where they are, and where they’re headed. Exit’s are highlighted with neon green letters, just like any other building, but Dan has no idea what’s powering them, as they don’t actually appear to be connected to anything. It’s almost as if the letters are just floating there, in mid-air.
He looks away, choosing instead to turn his focus back to Professor T. He’s afraid if he thinks about things too hard, he’ll fall apart.
Eventually, Professor T stops in front of a large grey door, different in size and material than any of the others. There’s no sound on the other side, but Dan knows this is where they were headed. He gulps, feeling his powers burn at the tips of his fingers again. He thinks he sees a flash of light burst from one of them, so he curls his fingers into a fist, and waits.
“I want you to not be afraid, now. My gift is basically a shield. It’s the reason that I give the tours. When we enter that room, nothing will be able to hit you, or hurt you. Just stay close to me, and you’ll be fine,” Professor T forewarns them, and then he’s grinning for the first time, a kind of excitement lighting up his eyes that gets Dan a little more fired up. He and Chris scoot in closer to him, Dan curling his fingers in tighter to his fist.
“Okay,” they both agree, nodding in understanding, and then Professor T is swinging the large door open, and the hallway erupts with the sound of clashing elements and steel. Dan’s head is whirring. He feels like he’s on autopilot as he trails after Professor T, the door falling shut behind them. Dan doesn’t hear when it clangs.
All he can hear is the woosh of fire, and his eyes catch on to it immediately as it erupts skywards, lighting up the room from within. Something smothers the flames abruptly, and Dan hears someone shouting at someone else to be careful. As his eyes attempt to scan around the room, he quickly notices four adults dressed in hazard orange, their eyes carefully trained on the large room full of close to twenty students.
They’re like lifeguards, Dan realizes, as another one shoots their palms out, abruptly preventing a large green plant looking creature from swallowing another student. Dan watches as the plant disperses in a folly of leaves, covering the student instead.
His jaw drops open, and his eyes swing back and forth over the students in the room. Plenty of them are fighting with offensive skills, shooting flurries of fire, and ice, and water alike at each other, while others seem to be fighting with something a little less obvious.
A girl and boy close to the door Professor T had led them in through are staring each other down, and from time to time, Dan can see the girl flinching away from the boy, casting her hands out as if to prevent him from doing something unseen.
Dan flinches at the very idea of not being able to see what he’s up against, and his eyes swivel away.
There’s a boy fighting with nails that look like steal, grown six feet long, and swinging out like swords. The boy he’s up against has blades made out of a substance Dan doesn’t understand, but he knows the weapons are something he created, because in seconds, they’ve morphed from katanas, to throwing knives.
Beside him, Chris knocks into him, and Dan looks over only to see a giant fireball disintegrating into nothing about three feet away from where Chris had previously been standing.
He looks up, and realizes that it’s raining, a mass of storm clouds and loud, angry thunder rolling through the sky. Lightning strikes them, but it never gets within a few inches of their heads before it’s gone too.
Dan can’t say the guy they’re just passing is as lucky as them, though one of the lifeguards seems to have stunned him. When the lightning hits, he doesn’t get shocked. Instead, there’s a look of bliss written clear across his face.
As another unseen danger passes right over them, hitting like a blow of wind into another student's chest, Dan realizes that Professor T’s shield is kind of like a dome surrounding them, preventing anything from getting within three feet of him in any direction. So long as Dan and Chris stay within those boundaries, nothing can hurt them. Dan’s grows a little more bold at that, unable to help his curiosity. His own powers seem to be reacting to the one’s shooting off around him, because he can feel the careful burn of them zapping between his fingertips, itching to come out and play.
He hesitates as Professor T leads them towards the far end of the room, where a teacher is helping guide a smaller group of students. He doesn’t want to get dragged into this whole mess. He’d hoped they were just hear to observe.
As they get closer and closer to the teacher, Dan starts to realize that the chaos they’d just passed through had been relegated to the middle of the room - a kind of stadium looking thing he only now get’s a proper look at because he’s moved through it. There are raised areas, and portions of rural terrain. The floor looks hard, but it bounces each time Dan witnesses a student fall, as if it knows when to soften and open up to avoid anyone getting hurt.
“How can so little Professors keep track of everything that’s going on?” Chris pipes up from beside him, and Dan realizes his concern as he watches a student get blown back by a suffocating looking wave. They both hold their breath as Professor T turns to take a look.
The girls comes out unscathed. She doesn’t even appear to have been affected.
“Just as the teachers are here to prevent injuries, so is the room itself. It was created by another Nova when the school opened, as were all the other rooms in the underground, and kept up by the teachers with the same abilities as the original Nova who created it. That Nova’s abilities allow the room to protect any person inside of it. Any potentially dangerous blow that a teacher misses, the room usually catches. The teachers are here as an extra measure, though the defenses have yet to actually fall,” Professor T explains. Dan watches awestruck as he starts to see the pulses of power Professor T had been talking about.
The walls seem to breathe, and even the ceiling appears to be keeping careful control over the storm brewing over head.
Dan turns back around to the group they’d been approaching, and that’s when he see’s him.
There’s a boy clearly his own age, surprisingly matching him in height, stood concentrating on another student across at the far wall, his black hair hypnotizingly dark from across the way. Dan can’t move his gaze away from him as they draw closer.
There’s beads of sweat pressed to his pale forehead, plastering the fringe remarkably similar to Dan’s own, to his skin, but it’s less gross, and more intriguing as Dan tries to understand what he’s doing. His hands are clenched at his sides, and his concentration is so intense, Dan can see the veins and muscles in his arms rippling with tension. The boy across from him is starring less intensely, appearing to strain, but not nearly as strongly as the first boy.
It’s as they get closer that Dan realizes the first boy is panting, his face burgundy red as he holds out against whatever foe he’s facing.
But as intriguing as the scene is, that’s not the reason Dan’s staring. Dan’s staring because the boy is attractive, insanely so, even as he works to hold out against his foe. Even sweat stained as if he’s been working out, even red and flushed, Dan still finds him attractive, and that’s...that’s a problem.
Well, it doesn’t have to be a problem, but Dan can already feel the burn in his fingertips changing from aggressive to warm. He recognizes that feeling, and he doesn’t like it.
For longer than Dan can remember, he’s kept himself isolated, and he doesn’t want to ruin that on some ridiculous attraction he feels to a stranger in his practicals class.
He isn’t here to make friends, let alone get in a relationship. He’s here to master his powers, and that’s it.
He manages to drag his gaze away just as the boy appears to give in, his entire body relaxing as he breathes out a long breath of air.
The last thing Dan sees are piercing blue eyes, as cold as they are warm, and as hypnotizing as the darkness of his hair.
“Professor L!” Professor T shouts. Dan and Chris share an amused look. Is every teacher here named after a single letter?
Professor L turns around and grins at them, her smile affectionate as she appears to look straight through Professor T and down at Dan and Chris instead.
“I’ve brought you your new recruits,” Professor T teases, winking at Dan and Chris behind him.
“You’ve led them right through the center of the battlefield, I see,” Professor L teases right back, beckoning them over to her. Professor T comes with them, but he moves behind them protectively, and Dan assumes it’s to continue keeping them shielded.
“It’s nice to meet you…?” Professor L says, drawing the sentence out and waiting for Dan and Chris to speak up.
They both introduce themselves, Chris a lot less shy than Dan. Professor L appears to notice his reservedness, and a voice suddenly echoes in his head.
“I understand your fear, Daniel Howell, but there is nothing to fear, here. We are all the same. No one is looking down on you.”
Dan startles, but he’s never given a chance to reply in any capacity, as Professor L launches into a clearly prepared speech where she gives a quick run down of what their week will look. Each day of Practicals appears to entail something different, with Friday's reserved for sparring, and Thursdays reserved for smaller group time with professors whose talents coincide more closely to students with similar powers. The rest is more a blurr that Professor L promises is all written down for them in the packets waiting for them in their rooms.
Apparently, there's an entire history lesson, and a school lesson awaiting them for the weekend. Dan can’t imagine having arrived on any other day of the week, with how much new information feels like it’s being thrown at them.
There are rules, apparently for both school, and Practicals specifically.
Dan’s reminded again that they’ve just been thrown into an entirely new world.
--
The tour of the school follows immediately, but it’s a quick one. As Professor T puts it, the school is much too large to get through in one day, and so they’re brought to each major zone in quick succession.
Every part of the school is actually sectioned off into different areas, though it appears as one huge castle to any outside viewer.
There’s the dorms in the north-west wing, common areas as well as the dining hall in the south-west wing directly below the dorms where the students not only eat, but hang out, and the classrooms in the entire east-wing. Directly under the school is the practicals - the only safe area of the school for actual proper practice of any and all gifts.
The “hospital wing” as Professor T puts it, is in the north-east wing of the school, in direct path of the more dangerous areas of the underground part of the school, but also easily accessible enough for students in any other area of the school.
Dan shudders at the very thought of ever having to visit there, and puts it out of his mind as Professor T explains that the underground was originally created with much bigger intentions than it was currently being used for. The endless corridors and hallways of rooms were meant for students with different gifts to get the proper training, but they were hardly ever used at this point. There just weren’t enough teacher and students combined to use up most of the rooms, and even then, most of the teachers weren’t even sure how to get into the training rooms to use them anyway.
The rooms they use for Practicals had been created much later, and are easy to enter for the students these days. Some of the other rooms are accessible as well, and are used for one on one training on Thursdays, but other than that, the underground is a labyrinth only navigable by the maps spread out through the halls, and the exit signs that led the students back up to the classrooms and dorms above.
The easy explanation makes Dan more nervous, unsure how the teachers aren’t more concerned about the rooms they can’t get into, but he puts it out of his mind as Professor T finally drags them away from the classrooms, and consequently all mentions of the underground, and to the common area’s instead.
Dan’s surprised to find so many rooms filled with TV’s, game systems, and even a pool tables. According to Professor T, some of the students with ice powers paint the lake outside with ice so they can ice skate, especially during the winter, while other students help their classmates breathe underwater so they can become a little more acquainted with the lake life.
Dan’s unsure what the rules about gifts are, but when he tries to ask, Professor T promises him it’s all in the paper work in his dorm room, to read later, when he has more time to absorb it all properly.
Dan doesn’t argue. Instead, he follows Professor T through the common rooms, just now filling up with students, and stares with wide eyes at all the comfy arm chairs and couches, the library full of bookcases, and the room entirely devoted to billards, ping pong, and even old school arcade games. It seems like the common rooms never end, but each one is mostly equipped with the same things. Just off the library are study rooms, and Dan can already see them filling up, despite it being a Friday afternoon.
He knows he’ll be joining the ranks of these students soon, if only to keep himself focused and cut off from making awkward friendships that he’ll never be able to let last.
He shudders at the very thought of getting close enough to someone to hurt them again.
Finally, Professor T ends the tour with the promise to bring them up to their dorm rooms before he goes.
“Luckily, you’ll be right next door to each other!” Professor T explains as he leads them up a large staircase into the north-west wing of the school. “Unfortunately, we never room new students together, so you’ll be with what you might call ‘upper classmen.’ They’re the same year as you in terms of school, but they’re more practiced with their abilities than you are, and have been at the school long enough that they’ll be able to help you settle in and understand the basics,” he explained. Immediately, Dan’s heart dropped.
He’d been under the impression the dorms would be single rooms, not shared accommodation. That made staying away from other students more difficult, but not impossible.
Dan’s roommate was just going to have to deal with having Dan, the anti-social twat, sharing in his living space. He could only hope the dorms weren’t tiny, cramped things that forced them to intrude into each other’s personal space constantly, when all Dan really wanted was to study, and play games quietly and on his own on his laptop when he wasn’t focusing on mastering control over the light he could call forth.
Dan turns his attention back to following Professor T as he walks, as he needs to know how to get back to his room, but it’s difficult when he’s trying to imagine what his new roommate is going to be like.
“Phil and PJ, your new roommates, are two of the students that are currently rooming alone, so it might take a little getting used to, but I’m sure you’ll fit together seamlessly as you work out how to make enough space for the two of you. They’ll be your guides on your first day, as well, and get you as situated as possible, so don’t be intimidated. They’ve been through the process themselves before.”
Finally, they arrive in front of two doors nearly side by side, and Dan jolts as he realizes that his name is written under a plaque right next to the door, as is his roommate's name, and Chris and his roommate on the door one over.
They gulp as they glance at each other, nerves renewed, and Dan turns back to Professor T.
“Well, that’s the end of your tour! Your parents have already been released, now that the paperwork has been filled in, and your schedules, as well as a guidebook and a short history lesson are on your beds. You’ll want to read everything provided to you to the best of your ability, and if you have any questions - well, there’s plenty of students and faculty around to ask.”
With that, Professor T is gone, and Dan and Chris are left to face their new roommates alone. They glance at each other again, giving each other awkward smiles. Chris waves at Dan, and then he takes a deep breathe, and unlocks the door with a press of his palm to the glass next to, just under the plaque with their names.
The door opens, and Chris walks through, gone.
For a moment, Dan just stands there, thinking about how his mum was supposed to see him off and eat dinner with him and force every tiny detail about the school out of him, but she’s not here. Dan’s relieved, if he’s honest, but also terrified, because now he has to walk into a stranger's room all alone and meet the person he’ll be living with for the rest of the year all alone.
Taking a huge breath of his own to fill himself with a little bit of confidence, Dan marches up to the door, and does the same.
The sight he’s greeted with is definitely not the one he’s ready for.
“Hey. I’m Phil Lester, and you must be Daniel Howell. It’s really good to meet you!”
Phil Lester, as it turns out, is Mr. Attractive from Dan’s Practicals class, with the hypnotizing blues eyes that are even more so up close.
