I love characters who are liars. You gotta know this about me.

I love characters that are liars and hiding and in such sharp contrast against their own selves. I love when you gotta use your nails and scrape hard to get to the reality, the scope of a character. I love when a character is so good at it they convince the audience even. Or when they're so desperate to do so even their fellow characters worry about the cracks in the facade. I love when characters rotate out masks and personas, all different facets of their truth but like hell will you see the intermingled depth and variation in full. Bright gleaming sea that distracts from yawning and hungry ocean underneath.
