The music just before "light one match" in Going Down

The way Mercy says "chickens"

"Why'd ya do it?" in Luther Interlude

The way Luther says "holy shit" at the beginning of Luther Interlude

The way the Bizzies say " feels" in We Got You

The little "What?" In Going Down

Hey boppers for your eyes today i have created some cuisine. The flavour is scrumptious? I dunno why i love cochise and cowgirl so much when they're just kind of along for the ride. Listen guys they are very dear to me also cochise sticks her tounge out when shes concentrating I dont make the rules.

ALSO when I was drawing I suddenly thought cowgirl has a septum and ugh i love it forever unfortunately it didnt look right in this doodle i tried but! next time i draw her for sure.

If its not clear cochise is painting cowgirls toenails and they're having a yap session. <3

I was craving some silly sketchy doodles today so I wasnt looking too hard at references for it GUYS go and do some silly sketches! >:) also makes sure to stretch out your hands after drawing for ages

The Reunion.

Hear me out. Before swan joined the warriors, she had to cut off all her hair off , possibly from it getting all tangled from being homless ( or refusing to go home ) so now she has like a buzz cut . As she joins the warriors, Ajax makes a joke about it and Swan just instantly jumps on her.

Nah bcs cowgirl was so right for going with the bizzies. I too would follow a random pitch perfect-esque boy band if they promise me french toast and sleep in their sales pitch

Can we talk for a second about how Swan is, like, the baddest bitch in the Warriors? 🤌 That's how I'm reading the lyrics, at least lmfao. Like Swan fully thinks it's Ajax, but the rest of the crew knows it's her.

In the Finale, when they're remembering their lost members, Swan calls Ajax "the toughest". But back in Woodlawn Cemetery, when Ajax tried to challenge Swan's position, all the other members immediately sided with Swan. Fox even says, "We lost Cleon, we can't lose you too".

Now, this could be them all saying, "hey, we're going to follow the hierarchy that was already in place, don't rock the boat" BUT it could also be them saying, "girl, Swan will beat your ass, get back in line".

Then, in Reunion Square, when Fox is fighting the cop, she says, "Swan would have beat him, but I am no Swan." Again, this could simply be that Swan is the best fighter now that Ajax is gone or that Fox holds Swan in higher regard than Ajax in general, but with the way she reacted in Woodlawn Cemetery and the fact that she is literally fighting for her life, it feels more like Fox has always thought Swan is the best.

Anyways, I just think that's a cool way to see it. Ajax IS a bad bitch, but they all know Swan is THE bad bitch.

In Quiet Girls the Hurricanes insinuate that some of the other crews are allies with one another which is making me wonder if after the events of the album the Warriors make friends given that they had none

Like I think it’s obvious that they’re going to have a connection with the Riffs, but I also think they could be friends with the Hurricanes given that they were the ones who gave them advice, but I’m interested to hear what other people think

Light It Up, Fox!

I think reunion square has to be one of the saddest members from the Warriors concept album and it gets set of every time I listen to it.

I think a big reason for that is that this song really does cement that Fox truly is the youngest of the group (I'm going to as soon as Fox is anywhere between 15 to 18 years old)

In the beginning of the song after she and the others escape the Bizzes she says " God, half of us are gone" and she later lashes out at Victor after he cat calls the Warriors.

What I find really interesting about her rant is that it shows that Fox (presumably out of every Warrior besides Cleon) has truly taken Cyrus's word to heart as she assertively points out that Victor and his ilk are the reason they've had to suffer not only here but throughout life.

She asks why can't they go back home and has eternalized herself as the "Quiet Girl" that isn't gonna make it.

What's cool though is that she flipped this on her head and ends ups truly realizing what the Hurricanes were actually was trying to say.

When you're stuck in the darkness you have to do your own life sometimes not just for you but for the others in your life that may not be able to burn as bright.

This realization causes Fox to LEAP into action realizing that if Victor calls his boys they'll be able to stop stop the train and potentially arrest/kill the Warriors.

Something of note here is that this song takes cues from The World was Wide Enough where we see Fox's life flash through her eyes.

Queens- You can do 99 things right,but meet the wrong Cop at night and it's braapt on site ya dig?

Manhattan- survival all depends upon the corner you run to.

Ajax- I'm sick of running

Warriors- Only the strong survive

Ajax and Rembrandt- Anybody tussle with these hands they'll see static

The battle between Fox and Vic is brutal and he beats her so badly that she breaks something and starts bleeding.

Another thing that I noticed after some repeated listening is that it seems that out of all of the Warriors, Fox seems to look up to Swan and Ajax the most (Rembrandt too apparently).

She laments that Swan could have taken Victor out but she's not her and not too long after that the cop puts his foot on her throat and kicks her into the incoming train.

I think what's beautiful about this tragic moment is that Fox ends up embodying the other sentiment of Quiet Girls and ends up becoming an arc of light both literally and metaphor.

It's actually quite a clever nod to me that Fox herself it's played by an Asian actress ( Pippa Soo) because been Chinese, Japanese, and Korean mythology there is a creature known as the Kitsune.

Kitsune are basically Divine foxes that more often than not typically take the form of females to live amongst humans.

They act as a guide to the afterlife and use something called foxfires to communicate with others throughout the night.

Fox being the one to truly embrace what the Hurricanes tried to tell the Warriors and becoming the light that guided her friends home through her demise is quite a common trope with kitsune, especially if they bonded with a human.

I just think it's a really cool way to not only lift a sort of nothing character from the original on the bed but also make them stand on their own.

Stage directions (for want of a better word) in the Warriors lyric book that I love:

"Sully is holding a pathetically small shaving blade"

"Singing a solo outside of time and space"

"Eerie. Super eerie. (description of gang). Super duper eerie."

"That's the truth, Ruth."

"The bizzies start their meticulusouly rehearsed vistuostic dance moves"

"Joon rap solo. Everyone looses their fucking minds"

going off wikipedia, in the warriors movie the gang reaches the park and ajax aggressively approaches a lone woman who turns out to be police. on the concept album, during the park at night, the girls are harassed by a policeman in disguise who keeps spitting textbook sexist rethoric at them (you'd look prettier if you'd smile) and ajax decides to take matters in her own hands and beats him up. said policeman is actually played by movie ajax and by attacking him, musical ajax, who's a woman, sets the record straight on a meta-narrative level: she calls out her male counterpart for his violence against a fellow woman, punishes him, avenges her- by doing this, she seeks absolution for her own self.

I had to do a sketch of Fox (Phillipa Soo), the Warriors musical doesn’t have enough art when the singers did a killer photoshoot for the concept album. RIP Fox, you deserved to see Coney again…

since the warriors' territory is coney island, they would indisputably be in the mermaid parade.

"but the warriors is set in the 1970s and the mermaid parade only started in 1983!"

look deeply into my eyes. i don't care. they didn't have roaming mimes in the 70s either.

i think Rembrandt would enjoy painting a junkyard car to look like Poseidon's chariot (enrichment in her enclosure) and Swan should get to lose her absolute mind in the crowd when her girlfriend rolls past on said car dressed like a sexy mermaid.

I think Swan and Mercy's relationship would start off a bit rocky due to swans low self esteem/self worth, and her constantly pushing Mercy away. Or her mostly being confused if she wants mercy to stay or go. Because I think? Swan is unable to put her guard down , scared of being hurt. ( Again )
