it was a friday night at the mansion, and it was unnervingly quiet for a school. logan leaned against his doorframe, and stared at the clock, waiting for you but you never came. the two of you had planned to grab a drink at his favorite bar - nothing fancy, but it was at least something. something you both enjoyed.

except, you once again, cancelled. no reason or explanation, just a short, “sorry, can’t make it tonight.” and with that you were gone.

this was the third time that week. heck, the seventh time in two weeks that you'd bailed and logan started to notice a pattern. you weren't just ditching him, jean, storm, even scott had mentioned your sudden disappearances. but logan took it a little more personally. you didn't have to spend every waking minute with him, but the lack of explanation? that ate him from the inside out. he wasn't even sure why he kept making plans for the both of you.

now, instead of staying at the mansion like a love sick fool, waiting for another canceled plan. logan grabbed his jacket and headed out. the bar in the next upcoming town had become his escape for nights like this - when things didn't make sense, and whiskey could at least dull a smart part of his irritation.

saturday morning passed, and logan still hadn't returned.

you hadn't meant for things to happen like this, guilt had been gnawing at you for weeks, but it come to a point where it was almost unbearable. you knew logan was frustrated, just like your friends. he never did say much, but the way hs expression tightened with each cancellation told you enough.

you didn't want to cancel - not on logan, or on girl's day with jean or storm, and certainly not on scott - who always made you watch scary movies with him. scott started giving you side eyes and stern look during your training together. there was something you couldn't tell them, not yet anyway.

besides, it wasn’t even that bad.

and logan… well, he hadn't come home last night. when you canceled on him for the millionth time. not that it was unusual for him to disappear every now and then to blow off steam. but something about this time felt different. it wasn't just frustration on his part. you could see it - the hurt beneath his facade that he put up.

you decided to put the facts straight.

by saturday afternoon, you decided to make up your mind and find him. you knew where he'd be. the bar wasn't far from the mansion, a ten minute drive and 30 minutes if you walked. it was a place logan went when he needed space.

walking into the bar, you spotted him immediately, he was hunched over the counter, nursing a glass of whiskey. he didn't seem as tense as the night before, but there was still a slight shadow of frustration hanging over him.

you walked up to him quietly, sliding onto the stool next to him, he reeked of liquor and cigarettes. "logan?"

he didn't look at you right away, just took another sip from his glass. on the bar was a cigar that was halfway done. "what're you doin' here?" his voice low, gruff.

you fiddled with your fingers. "i came to talk, i thought i'd owe you an explanation."

logan finally turned to look at you, his eyes scanning your face. "yeah, you do. been bailin' on everyone, 'specially me. kinda makes a guy wonder what the hell's goin' on."

"yeah.." you replied softly, biting the inside of your cheek. "i'm sorry logan. i didn't mean to keep canceling like that. i just.. i didn't know how to explain it to you."

logan raised his eyebrow, waiting to hear your explanation.

you sighed, feeling the weight of the past few weeks pressing down on you. "there's a reason i've been avoiding plans. not that i don’t want to hang out with you - or jean or scott or anyone.”

“then what the hell is goin’ on?” logan asked, his voice laced with confusion.

you swallowed, “i’ve been taking care of something.”

logan frowned. his brows knitting together. “takin’ care of what? don’t tell me you’re dealin’-“

“no! oh my gosh, no!” you stopped him before he could finish his sentence. “it’s a kitten,” you admitted. “i found her outside the mansion a few weeks ago. she was sick and alone, and i couldn’t just leave her out there.”

logan blinked, i mean it was better than what he thought at first. “a kitten?”

you nodded. “yeah, she’s been needing a lot of attention- feeding, medicine, litter box you know. that’s why i’ve been cancelling everything. i didn’t mean to blow you off, logan, i just had to take care of her.”

logan stared at you, his expression softened just a bit. "why didn't you tell anyone? why keep it a secret?"

you sighed, "because animals aren't allowed in the mansion, logan. you know how strict xavier is about that. the furniture, the old wood - they don't want anything getting ruined. and i don't want anyone to get in trouble because of me."

logan let out a breath, setting his glass down with a soft thud on the bar. "so you've been sneaking around, just to take care a kitten?"

you nodded, "yeah. i thought if i could just keep it a secret it’d be okay. but… i didn’t think about how it would look for you. i didn’t mean for it to come off like i was avoiding you.”

logan was quiet for a long moment, his eyes still on you. then, after what felt like an eternity, he shook his head, a small, dry smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “you’re an idiot, y’know that?”

you blinked, surprised. “what?”

logan let out a low chuckle, the tension finally breaking. “you think i give a damn about some furniture or old wood? if you’ve got somethin’ goin’ on, you tell me. i can handle it- i can handle charles. you hidin’ stuff — that’s what pisses me off.”

you felt the relief wash over you, your shoulders finally relaxing. “i’m sorry, logan. i really didn’t mean to hurt you.”

logan grunted, taking another sip of his drink. “yeah, well. you did. but i get it now.”

you nodded, giving him a small, apologetic smile. “i’ll make it up to you. no more secrets, i swear.”

logan’s smirk widened slightly. “damn right, no more secrets.”

for a moment, the two of you just sat there in silence, the weight of the past few weeks finally lifting. logan’s frustration had faded, replaced by the familiar ease you usually shared.

“so,” he said, glancing at you with a raised eyebrow. “what’re you gonna do with the kitten?”

you smiled, a genuine warmth spreading through you. “i don’t know yet. i’ll figure something out. maybe i should find her a home. but… for now, i’ll keep her out of trouble. away from the furniture.”

logan chuckled again, shaking his head. “you’re somethin’ else, kid.”

as the two of you sat in the bar, the tension and frustration finally fading. no more secrets, no more cancellations.

just you, logan, and maybe a kitten (or two).

“also, i’m pretty sure charles already knows. being a mindreader and all.”

Hear me out.

Poolverine Time Travel story where Wade goes wayyy back in time to when he was a teenager. Except the timeline is different from his because... what do you mean The Avengers have just formed and shit is being set in motion already? What do you mean villains are appearing way earlier than they used to? This timeline can't be his own what the fuck how did he get here.

So he ends up taking an almost Spiderman-like role in becoming a vigilante that sometimes accompanies the Avengers but they don't know his identity. He manages to activate his mutation before getting thrown into the Weapon X program so he has his healing factor minus the cancer. It's... a weird sensation.

It becomes even weirder when he realizes the timeline is even more shifted and he's Peter's age, who apparently isn't the Tom Holland version because he shouldn't be this old yet? He should turn 14 a while after the Avengers form? What the fuck. They become sort of friends, except for the fact that they fight because Wade's a dick and Peter's a saint. Let's just say they handle Flash very differently (which ironically ends up causing Flash to respect and even befriend Wade).

Anyway, Wade gets closer to everyone around him and becomes an unofficial Avenger but never really feels at home. How could he, when people only know one half of his identity? When he has none of the people he loves in this world?

He isn't sitting idly, though. He's preparing. And as soon as he turns 18, he leaves. He joins the Weapon X Program, with the hope of ending Stryker long before his end in the original timeline. And with the hope of meeting Logan, who he misses more than pretty much anything.

But when he meets Logan, it's like looking into a mirror. The second their eyes meet, they recognize each other. Logan remembers.

He comes back four years later with Logan at his side and the corpse of Stryker behind him. And he finds everything in disarray. Apparently, the Avengers had been looking for him to no avail and Peter had stepped up in his place as a vigilante (a little more brutal than he should've been, actually). Everyone panicked when he left and thought he died or disappeared, and mourned the loss of their dear friend and teammate.

Until he miraculously just... shows up. With a feral, growling, Logan at his side who threatens everything with his claws.

It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

(Okay, for some reason, the repost where I was talking about this just...disapeard?? So here I go. Again. I'm just going to post it as a separate thing.)

Okay! So- obviously, with the timeline, it wouldn't work- but I can just change that because why not?

Imagine Wade being diagnosed with cancer at 8. He has chemo and some surgeries, then for a good 2 years he is cancer free. Of course, though, it comes back at around 11. There isn't anything they can do this time, though. The surgeries won't work, and chemo will only prolong the inevitable, so Wade has to accept his fate. His parents get approached by someone who promises to cure Wade, though. All they need to do is sign over their legal rights in regards to him, so that's what they do. Sure, they cured him, but only after years of being tortured and experimented on. Wade thinks his parents didn't know at the beginning, but after the first few months, he started to question if they knew what this place was. His parents had never been kind people, and Wade quickly decided his parents probably didn't care what happened when they signed that waver. He survives, though. He gets his mutation, and eventually, the X-Men manages to find the facility that has been doing this. He's glad all of the other kids have been saved and most of them reunited with their parents- he had looked after half of them in that hell hole so he feels responsible for making sure they are all save wherever they go- and he goes back to the school with the other kids who don't have a home to go back to or just don't want to go back home. It's weird to be a whole 17 years of age and not knowing how to function in the world. He knows how to survive, but that's about it. So, it's a struggle to settle into the mansion at first, but he quickly takes on the role of bigger brother to the younger kids. And yeah, he finds it hard to interact with the people his own age, too terrified to deal with the possible riddicule of how he looks.

Logan's been there awhile. He was found by the Professor after a few news articles popped up about some 'strange deaths' and he had investigated. No one at the school knows much about him- they know he lived in the woods for a year when he was 13, and that the Professor found him- but that's about it. Practically all the students avoid him like the plague in the halls and at meal times. It's not that Logan tries to talk to the others anyway, and he doesn't really want too. He's used to being a lone wolf. He keeps to himself, doesn't want to deal with others shit, and he plans to keep it that way. He's gonna leave this place as soon as he is 18 next year. He isn't even sure where he would go, but he refuses to join the X-Men. He can't bring himself too- to many accidents with the claws and panic attacks to be able to help people.

Naturally, Wade decides that Logan is the person he is going to befriend. Even if the idea of being judged terrifies him, he can't help but be interested in the quiet brooding bad boy.

X-Men putting the piece together on who Laura is

ANOTHER X-MEN POV ON THE IDIOTS

Laura who is sometimes seen around the mansion with Ellie, Yukio, and Colossus. She is usually brought by Deadpool of all people. Everyone seems to almost.. know her but they can't place it.

Ellie, Yukio, and Colossus aren't answering questions they just admit she's a mutant who they had met.

They try to get Laura to join the school but she rolls her eyes at the meer idea. She seems so extremely uninterested it's admirable. She doesn't talk to anyone besides the previously mentioned three and she seems more than happy with that.

It's a rare day where Deadpool ended up hanging out at the mansion. (They can usually manage to run him off). He seems to be hanging around Laura who actually sees to enjoy his company.

He's talking about anything and everything as he does while Laura chimes in here and there seemingly enjoying not having to feel the silence.

Eventually after a while and a phone call to Deadpool the merc gets up and tells her he has to go but she doesn't have to come with. Laura rolls her eyes before answering as she too gets up.

"Of course I'm coming with you pop."

The Mansion's inhabitants share shocked looks.

"You are just like your father Mini." Deadpool answers with a audible smile as he puts an arm around her shoulders and they head out the door.

The rumor mill goes wild with that one. Surely that's not Deadpool's biological daughter surely.

It was the next time Laura was at the mansion that they got answers. Laura had been hanging out in the library with Yukio when she got a call. She had rolled her eyes as she grabbed at her discarded jacket.

As soon as she said her goodbyes and hung up she had apologized for having to leave early, but her papá was here because something had come up. Yukio had reassure that she understood and walked her to the door.

A motorcycle could be heard outside and on almost forgotten instincts people started to make their way to the entrance waiting for a ghost. They knew Logan had died and they knew their was a new one that had appeared, but he had done his best to avoid them at all costs.

No one had done anything to reach out seeming to sense that there was something very different about this version of the man they knew. Only this time as Laura opened the door there he was. He seemed extremely uncomfortable and a moment away from fleeing but he was there.

Laura had just smiled widely and hugged him. "Hi papá." She greeted voice warbling with a purr...and...holy shit.

Logan hugged her back, "Hello kit." He warbled right back.

It felt like a baseball bat to the back of the head. It was so obvious how did they miss it? Laura looked so much like him it couldn't have been more clear.

Laura was Logan's daughter, Laura was Deadpool's daughter. That ment....oh no

all i’m saying is- Logan and Wade both have raging PTSD, trauma, dealt with incredible loss, where in the military, and have been given shit ass cards in life. Both have expressed just wanting to experience happiness but are treated like weapons/destructive and unable to keep people in their lives due to that.

So of course when they finally get together and realise they are actually truly stuck with one another, and neither can die/be physically hurt they are just gonna settle down together forever. Because what’s better than another unkillable immortal than one that has also been through the same terrible fucked up shit and can actually relate to it all.

When they finally come to the mutual decision to give up the life of killing and destruction they retire and leave the city to settle down in a small woodsy town, probably south but still within reasonable driving distance of the X-mansion and Al. they get married and just go full throttle domestic, small little house with a garden and big back yard; just them and Mary.

Everyone in the town is familiar with them, even though they seem a little off, but they do all their shopping at the local markets and are always friendly and willing to do any grunt work/help out neighbours and the community. Although they do relatively stick to themselves most of the time.

They would also both definitely get soft, Logan would still jog in the mornings and has a little at home gym in their garage he’d work out in mainly to blow off steam, but he has a little tummy now and doesn’t look like he’s dehydrated and withering away. Wade definitely wouldn’t give a shit and is just happy he doesn’t have to work anymore and has his domestic family life he always wanted so he’s more indulgent and a little lazy so he gets Chunky. but Logan loves it because it’s just representative of their retirement and the softness of their life now.

I also imagine they go back home for the holidays for the first time in a bit, and everyone is a little shocked at first bc they look so different, not just physically but the happiness just radiates off of them and everything about them is so warm and inviting. Ness sees Wade for the first time and almost bursts into tears because of how happy and content he finally is after all shit he’s been through.

A/N: I LOVE THEM. i’ve never written for them before so it’s not the best, idea came to me during a long walk. one day i’ll finish kinktober and some of my requests, i’m just working on the wording cuz i know what to write i just dk how to put it into words

logan jolted awake with a cold sweat, mary puppins at the foot of the bed whilst wade was laying awake staring at the ceiling

“cant sleep bub?” logan asked gruffly, not wanting to seem like he cared too much

“i should be asking you the same thing peanut, nearly stabbed me whilst you slept” wade chuckles in response, rolling onto his side to face logan with a mischievous lop-sided grin “what got you so riled up, wet dreams of me? you perv!”

logan merely grumbled in response, reaching over to grasp the bottle of whiskey on his nightstand and take a deep swig of it. he sighed with content once finished and returned it back to the nightstand

“just go back to sleep, there’s no point in being awake right now” logan grumbled before rolling over and going back to sleep, facing towards wade.

“where’s the fun in that? you don’t need a little… relaxing before you sleep?” wade grins, playfully booping logan’s nose much to the other man’s dismay

“shut up” logan growls, swatting wade’s hand away without opening his eyes.

the two sat in silence for a bit. before logan reached over and wrapped his arms around ease, tugging him close.

“awwh look at that. love ya wolvie” wade winked as he nuzzled into logan

“fuck you wade” he mumbled, voice slurred as he was on the brink of sleep

Give me a Wade who is willing to burn the entire world down for Logan

Give me a Logan who is willing to protect Wade with his body to prevent him from getting hurt.

This would definitely be a great impact on them, because they both have a healing factor, people take for granted that "they're fine and don't need to worry about them", which is a clear mistake, the fact that your wounds heal does not mean that there is no pain in them.

I love this idea.

Wade and Logan are insanely protective over each other even when they're the only people who can't die. Isn't it ironic? Two immortals cradling each other with care as if they could get hurt?

Wade is willing to kill anyone for Logan. His immediate reaction to seeing Logan hurt is bloodshed. He is merciless and cruel with anyone who dares to try and hurt Logan, no matter how small of a scratch they left. He would torture someone slowly and painfully, watching the terror build and the hope seep from their face until there's only a shell of a person left.

Logan can be violent, too, but he runs more on instinct. He'd protect Wade by slashing at people, but he mainly focuses on keeping him safe. He acts as a shield, taking an onslaught of pain just to spare Wade an injury. He tackles him and covers Wade's body with his, absorbing the brunt of explosions.

Logan is the shield to Wade's sword. Logan's first instinct is to protect, to hover, to block. Wade's first instinct is to slice, to kill, to lunge. Make no mistake, though: a shield has sharp edges and a sword can still parry attacks. If the right buttons are pushed, Logan would murder anyone in his path to reach Wade and Wade would sooner let himself be killed than let enemies reach Logan. But they balance each other out, sword and shield, defense and offense, protector and attacker.

Logan and Wade who are now both 18 (Logan is still threatening to leave) but it's still not actually serious. They have been dating for a while and it's an unwritten rule that they allows end up in the same bed.

The older staff have tried to stop them but it doesn't work they just can't sleep without the other. They are eachothes safety blanket and it is adorable but also annoying.

Their relationship has been serious for a while and it's just accepted that these two while not teachers or X-Men are just here as a steady rock in the ever-changing mansion. Everyone loves them and the constant they are.

Logan and Wade are happy and thriving but not everyone is happy about it Jean has found herself to be extremely jealous. She blames Wade for why Logan isn't apart of the team (and subsequently why she can't have him).

Of course that isn't the case but she is definitely convinced it is. She goes and bangs on Logan's door one morning and is greeted by a shirtless Logan who has bite marks fading from his neck.

He looks extremely annoyed and close to taking off her head.

"The hell do you want?" He growled. Jean had to fight not to gawk or let her eyes rome.

"We need you to help out with a mission." Jean said trying to sound annoyed.

A scared hand snuck around Logan's body from behind as Wade's head popped up over Logan's shoulder. Jean had to fight not to sneer at him.

"We don't do that how many times we have to tell you Jeanine." Wade needled before kissing at Logan's neck and making direct eye contact with her.

"I wasn't taking to you." She snarled at him and watched in jealousy as one scared hand trailed lower. Logan grumbled and swatted the hand away. Grunting out a low, "Not now Wade I swear."

Logan addressed her again, "The answer is still no." Before slamming the door in her face.
