Posession: a Jey Uso x Rhea Ripley x Jimmy Uso fanfic.
Plot: After a severe injury sidelines Jey Uso for several months, his girlfriend, Rhea Ripley, is left to navigate the emotional and professional fallout of his absence. As a replacement, Rhea is unexpectedly paired with Jey’s twin brother, Jimmy Uso, to compete as a team. While initially hesitant, Rhea and Jimmy develop a strong in-ring chemistry and begin bonding outside the ring, causing unanticipated emotional complications. As they grow closer, Jimmy’s feelings for Rhea shift from professional admiration to a dangerous obsession, and he begins to blur the lines between their on-screen partnership and real life. WWE management pushes the chemistry between the two for a storyline, which only fuels Jimmy’s possessiveness and strains Rhea’s relationship with Jey. Caught between the brothers and WWE’s controversial storyline, Rhea must navigate the growing tension and make difficult decisions that could change her life and career. As the lines between reality and performance blur, the once unbreakable bond between Jey and Rhea shifts… How would they get through this?
This is told in an alternative Wrestling Universe with some elements that have happened incorporated..

It was always the same dream. Every night & day it never once changed. Who is this girl??
Ocean waves crashed against each other creating obnoxious crashes & even some coolness within the air while Cody stood on the beach with a girl on a gloomy day, not a single sun ray was to be found but something about the current weather was comforting, romantic almost. This girl was younger than him by 9 years, she was around 21, she was just so goddamn captivating, he couldn’t tell if it was the perfume sprayed on her body or her wispy touch on his skin or something else about it.
Her smile was comforting, everything about her felt graceful but it only frustrated him more when he wasn’t able to figure out who she was, she would just grab his hand & roam across the shorelines for hours, sometimes she would pepper soft kisses along his jawline & whisper something in his ear that he couldn’t quite understand..“Mi vuoi tanto quanto io voglio te?” And then it would end the same way every morning like usual where he would be left on his toes living his life in curiosity on who this mysterious blonde woman is that invades his dreams so suddenly.
—
June 8th 2012, Verona Italy
Liyana strides down the hallway of her childhood home as her Mother & Father insisted that whether or not she was 21 she was not to move out until she found herself a good man. Meanwhile her uncle Roman & her father Marco sat in the lounge prepping for tonights bit occasion. Roman was attending a WWE Red carpet event that he would be dragging Liyana to attend alongside with him.
Eventually after each step she took her mother Gianna caught up to her with irritation all over her face “Dannazione, sei una tale delusione, you were supposed to be ready for tonight, what gives?” Liyana stopped her movement & sighed pushing her hair back “Mama I just don’t think these are my kind of events to attend, I was hoping I could back out?” Gianni chuckled rudely before shaking her head at her daughter’s request “Don’t be ridiculous love, you’re going to support Roman & that’s final. Now go get dressed. It’s classless to attend these important occasions later than everyone else.” Liyana sighed as her mother strutted off before she went ahead & got ready for the red carpet.
Liyana lived a life of having high expectations sitting on her back since the day she was born, be a star & be damn good at it. But she felt as though she wasn’t, not like her mother or uncle Roman. At 16 she was signed to modeling & since then that’s all she’s ever done & succeePiccolo she was known for the amount of fashion shows she’d walked and the amount of times she modeled for New York Fashion Week.
It wasn’t a shock that her parents wanted to attend a Red Carpet that they knew would grab any form of attention with her presence there. But they didn’t expect to grab the wrong kind of attention as-well.
—
So here we were, the important part of this journey, the moment where Liyana & Roman arrived to the Red Carpet event/party, Roman had introduced her to everyone he personally knew, Randy, she had already met him at the very beginning of Romans start of popularity in WWE, Randy easily bonded with Liyana in a sibling sort of way & this was the first time seeing each other since a whole year ago since they never remember to ask for each other’s numbers to stay in touch until times like this, Seth, quite obnoxious but very sweet, Dean, funny & entertaining. At some point in the night Roman decided to split up with Liyana & get to know most of his friends, he soon regretted that idea when he left her alone with Randy. Who was friends with a SPECIFIC person that Roman didn’t necessarily like. So here we were, Liyana clueless as ever hanging around with Randy while he walked around with her all over the place “So far you’ve met Seth, Dean, Becky, Punk…You’ve met Cody?” The blonde girl shook her head with a smile “No I don’t believe I’ve met that one yet.” Randy widened his eyes before shaking his head “What?! I can’t believe I haven’t introduced you two yet then, good guy c’mon let’s look around for em’ it won’t take too long.”
When Randy walked towards the bar he found his friend Cody standing with multiple other people chatting it away, “Cody! I got someone you should meet! Very sweet girl, this is Liyana. Liyana this is Cody” The two politely shook each other’s hands with respectful smiles, Cody was caught off guard slightly when he recognized her, Who was this girl? Why was she so familiar? Her touch felt gentle, her perfume was sweet yet subtle. “It’s nice to meet you Cody.”
Her voice rang through his ears which caused him to focus back onto the current moment. “Likewise, you look familiar by the way? Have we meet before?” Liyana smiled “No, I don’t believe we’ve met before, maybe I just have one of those faces.” Her chuckle echoed through his mind while he grinned nodding his head.
For most of the night the pair had hung around the bar getting to know each other but as the party was coming to a late end they were walking around the balcony & admiring the moonlight that reflected off of the ocean water that was in view while they talked & talk, “I haven’t been to America a lot of times but the times I have been were for modeling & fashion show, maybe a few magazines here & there but not the important ones.” She leaned against the railing while he stared at her in awe, she was so beautiful to him, Who is this girl? “Well I can tell you right now that you’re gonna be on the important magazine covers in no time.” He reassured her despite her not believing an ounce if what he said. She’s played these games before with men.
Eventually while the two hung out more they were interrupted by Roman “Liyana it’s time to-“ When Cody turned around as she did both of them glared each other down, the energy was now tense & thick “Is there a reason why you’re hanging around with my niece Cody?” Roman questioned sternly while Liyana stood there confused “What is the issue?” Cody shook his head before running a hand over his jaw “No issue here, it was nice meeting you Liyana. Really it was.” He turned his focus away from Roman & looked back at her. “Whatever, I don’t have time for this. Meet me in the Limo Liyana.” She watched as her uncle walked off with a very pissed off expression before turning back over to Cody & smiling.
“It was nice meeting you Cody, I hope we can get to know each other before you have to leave so soon..” Liyana spoke softly “I would love too. I’m free tomorrow for lunch & maybe the rest of the day if you are..by any chance..available” his lips curled slightly before digging into the pocket of his pants before pulling out a napkin “This is my number. Call me, or text. Whatever you feel is best. Have a good night.” He placed it in her hands before backing away “Have a good night..Cody” she mumbled as he kissed the back of her hand before backing away & eventually leaving at the same time as her.
—
“How am I supposed to keep track of Romans stupid grudge! I didn’t know papa!” Liyanas voice echoed from the dining room as she argued with her father about her encounter with Cody tonight. “Idiota! Sei un idiota assoluto, It is your duty as his niece to not go & make him look like a fool & be around the type of people he is not fond of! Quell'uomo non è una buona influenza per te.” She groaned as she paced around the table “I’m not going to moderate who I talk to at 21 years old because of Romans petty drama! È tutta una stronzata comunque.” Liyana scoffed before walking off & storming off to her bedroom before her door was slammed shut. The silence within her room was already loud enough than one would possibly think, but suddenly it was quieted down one she heard pebbles hit against her bed side window.
As she sat up & went to open it she found her best friends Bianca & Elena holding up a wine bottle smiling together while waiting for her to run downstairs and go on whatever adventure they were taking her on, and so she did.
Liyana found herself on the shoreline of a beach while all 3 of them drank from the wine bottle & passed it around before silence was finally broken aside from the beach waves “I met someone tonight.. Così bello, he was eh..very sweet, charismatic.” Bianca grinned while turning over to her and listening before she herself let something be said “What’s his name! L'hai scopato?” Elena snickered to herself at Bianca’s question before Liyana could smile & shake her head “His name is Cody. American, and no Bia, I didn’t fuck him.” the brunette frowned to herself & shook her head is fake disappointment “He’s got some problems with Roman. I don’t know what they are but it’s not my problem anyways. Papa got mad tonight because I hung around Cody, said he was no good for me as a friend or anything further from that.”
Elena scoffed “Bullshit, he’s said that about every boy you have ever met Liyana. It’s a control thing, You’re 21 & they won’t allow you to move out until you find a good man but they also won’t allow you to talk to any man that cross paths with you!” It was true unfortunately. She felt as if she was never going to find love, make it out of her parents grasp. Maybe she was incapable of love? Or maybe she just wasn’t born to be loved. It would make sense, her family never taught her or showed her what love is & how it’s supposed to feel, her parents hate each other, they never raised her showing they loved her, her father has numerous affairs with many women during major occasions & her mother is the exact same. Liyana just wants to experience love for the first time, but maybe in another timeline she will.
—
Meanwhile he couldn’t get her out of his head, she was so familiar but he didn’t know from where, everything about her was familiar, her hair, her voice, her touch, the perfume on her body. He couldn’t figure out where the hell she could possibly have come from that gives her a familiar face. He hasn’t seen any magazine involved with her because she simply wasn’t as popular in the states yet, so who is she? Who is this girl?
And like usual the minute he fell asleep he was faced with this mysterious woman all over again, the beach waves echoed through the atmosphere, her soft touch ran up the sides of his torso, he heard soft mumblings but he still just couldn’t quite understand. It’s as if his dream was skipping time more than once, he found himself laid out in a grassy space with her now away from the ocean, daisy’s lightly grazing his skin, the sun glowing against the two of them, his lips locked with hers, the mystery girl pulling him on top of her while she whispered into his ear for the last time. “Mi amerai per sempre? Mi insegnerai come provare amore e capire cos'è l'amore? Per favore?”
Who is this girl?

My Favourite Wrestling Match of all Time
In 2006, a Canadian wrestler became Captivated by a Japanese man for whom standard limitations on human athleticism don't apply. Twelve years later, they had the greatest professional wrestling match of all time.
I'll keep the background explanation brief because there is already a better explanation than I could ever do. Read here if you do not know the story of the Golden Lovers: https://medium.com/we-need-to-talk-about-wrestling/that-one-tweet-thread-about-the-golden-lovers-annotated-e9fc604e3a7f
Now Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi have wrestled each other three times in their lives. And their second match from 2012 is arguably better than their the 2018 match that I am supposed to be looking at. So why would I say that the best match is worse than another one from six years prior. Well the twenty twelve match back in DDT is generational, and the greatest spectacle of athleticism in wrestling ever. The 2018 is far more emotional. With six more years of context they put on a match that made me feel more than any other match.
An important thread in the plotline of their story is this, Kenny Omega has never beaten Kota Ibushi. And because of that there is an unconfirmed insinuation that Kenny Omega can't beat Kota Ibushi. And it was because of this that Kenny grew resentful of how much better Kota was than him, and he turned to the dark side.
Kenny Omega is a fighter who compromised his morals to become the best in the world.
Kota Ibushi is a fighter who ran away from a fight and lost his chance to become the best in the world.
Kenny would join the Bullet Club, which at the time was like a villainous biker gang. He not only joined Bullet Club but he also distracted Kota costing him the top men's singles championship in all of Japan. After this Kota left New Japan Pro Wrestling unable to face the person his boyfriend Kenny was becoming. Kota did have some success in his absence, including but not limited to getting to the final of WWE's Cruiserweight Classic (but it has come out since that the plan was for him to win but the plan was changes when he expressed that he didn't want to sign with WWE). But he wasn't achieving success to the level he perhaps could. Kenny on the other had become THE GUY. The first non-Japanese person to win the annual G1 Climax tournament, won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and had a match against Kazuchika Okada that broke the scales of how good wrestling matches could be.
So that is the state of play going into this match. Kota Ibushi had returned to NJPW after Kenny had taken over the Bullet Club and become the top star in the company. It is during the 28th G1 Climax tournament and these two have been matched up to fight each other. Kenny Omega is the best wrestler in the world right now, so can he beat Kota Ibushi now.
Another important detail is that the two men (in storyline at least, I can't speak for them in real life) are in love. Like genuinely actual queer storytelling, and it's not shit if you can believe it. So they obviously want to win but they don't want to hurt each other. They are worried that they will go to far.
And that's I think the beauty of it. The question of whether Kenny has surpassed Kota or whether he's still unable to beat his boyfriend even after all he's done. And the question of how far they'll go without wanting to do permanent damage to the other. Like their 2012 match is technically more impressive simply because men in their 20s can do feats of athleticism that men in their 30s can't. But that helps build the plot of the G1 match. In their 2012 match they do a disgusting spot where Kenny takes a hurricanrana of the top rope to the floor. In the 2018 match they tease doing it again but both men know that it isn't the kind of thing that either of their bodies can take these days.
It's brilliant. It's really beautiful. And I want to talk about the result of the match but I shan't because I want anyone reading this who hasn't seen it to go watch it. You can probably find it in full somewhere if you search 'omega vs ibushi g1'
So yeah that's my favourite wrestling match. It's pretty cool.

The Hounds Of Justice : The Story of The Shield
June 2, 2014 will always be a day that I will never forget as a wrestling fan. This is one thing that I will never get over as a fan. My heart was shattered into a million pieces when an event that I never thought would happen. I am talking about the break up of The Shield. I am sure that we all remember where we were the night it happened.
The Shield was a popular faction in WWE consisting of Dean Ambrose ( now Jon Moxley in AEW ) , Roman Reigns , and Seth Rollins. The three Superstars made their main roster debut on November 18, 2012 at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View. Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose were originally supposed to be bodyguards for CM Punk, however , that changed and all three of them became huge main event names. They became dominant during six man tag team matches , having an undefeated streak on WWE Programming from December 2012- May 2013 , when they scored the biggest win of their careers , at Wrestlemania 29. Reigns and Rollins went on the win the Tag Team Championships while Ambrose went on to win the United States Championship at Extreme Rules the same year. Ambrose made history when he held the US Championship for a year in May 2014. Soon, The Hounds of Justice would face trouble.
In June of 2014 ,The Shield had a feud with Evolution, a faction consisting of Triple H , Randy Orton , Ric Flair , and Batista. On the June 2 , 2014 episode of Monday Night RAW , Triple H escorted Randy Orton to ring for a match and cut a promo on The Shield. Triple H stated that there was always a ‘ Plan B ’ for himself and Randy Orton , with Batista quitting WWE the same night to focus on his acting career. Thus, Rollins betrayed Reigns and Ambrose by hitting both of them with a style chair and aligning with Orton and Triple H , becoming the newest member of Evolution and The Authority. Reigns and Ambrose would be a tag team until June 16, 2014. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins would feud until 2015. During Payback, the Hounds of Justice would have a small reunion when they Powerbombed Randy Orton through the announce table. In 2016 , the three would have a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship, in which , Ambrose, who was the champion , would retain. The same year, they would be on opposing sides on Survivor Series with Reigns and Rollins representing Team RAW while Ambrose represented Team Smackdown Live. Thus, this lead to another small reunion.
The Shield reunited one more time in 2019 for a match against Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Baron Corbin at the Fastline Pay Per View. This would be the last time Reigns , Rollins , and Ambrose would share a ring together as Ambrose’s contract with WWE was ending. Dean Ambrose left WWE the same year and made his debut at All Elite Wrestling ( AEW ) as Jon Moxley and become a member of The Blackpool Combat Club. He has won the AEW World Championship three times. Seth Rollins would go on to have the Monday Night Messiah gimmick and win the Inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 2023 . He is a five time WWE Champion. Roman Reigns went on to become The Tribal Chief and have a record setting Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign of 1,316 days before being defeated by Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania 40. Nevertheless, Reigns also got his revenge on Rollins the same night by hitting him in the back with a chair. Seth Rollins stated that the next time fans will see The Shield reunite will be at their WWE Hall of Fame Induction.
My Final Thoughts:
The Shield will forever be a legendary faction in WWE and in Professional Wrestling. They were what made WWE Programming during that time period. Knowing that they also had successful solo careers makes me feel like they will always be remembered individually as well. I’ll confess that I was a major Roman Reigns girl. I hope that fans can remember them for what they did as a group and individually. When they broke up , I was raging. What about you? How did you feel when The Shield broke up? Who was your favorite member?
Love You All,
- Kay

The results are in and we finally have the definite, univerally true, statistically sound and totally representative answer to the question we've all been asking us:
Which CM Punk iteration is the most popular?
AEW Punk 25.7%
ROH Punk 22%
The version of CM Punk that lives rent-free in your head* 12.1%
Straight Edge Society Punk 11%
Pipebomb Punk 9.1%
2009 Heel Turn Punk 8%
Early WWE Punk 5.9%
Late WWE Punk 4.8%
Other 0.8%
New Nexus Punk 0.5%
Some notable mentions of Punk iterations that could not be included due to technical limitations, such as: UFC Phil, 2012 Heel Punk (bald), OVW Punk, New Nexus Punk but when he had the pornstache.
Also worth mentioning is that the 2009 Heel Turn Punk is a transitionary state between Early WWE Punk and Straight Edge Society, both of which might have individually received more votes if people had been forced to pick either of them instead.
*(participant chose the option "I really hate CM Punk but I need to see the results to get angry about them")

I made the official CM Punk pizzas cos that's what my life's come to, now, I guess
Ok so I randomly remembered that aroud 2011/12 or something, some pizzaria in Chicago made CM Punk pizzas. And they were actual official things Punk himself endorsed.
youtube
And since I was bored and had no idea what I wanted to eat tonight I figured I might try the recipes. So I found what they were, got the ingredients, and had a go at making them myself. (I'm no pro chef btw hence why they look a little scuffed).
So, the Anaconda Vice is on the left and has black beans, chorizo, cheese, chopped tomato, spring onion, bacon bits, and fresh leaves of coriander and parsley. The GTS is on the right. It has shredded chicken, sliced potato, swiss cheese and fried onion.
I had to make some substitutions. I used chicken instead of turkey, and the vegan cheese and bacon on the AV wasn't available so I just used regular cheese and bacon. Also just did fried onion rather than french fried onion like the original recipe calls for.
My dough bases were just premade ones since I've never made pizza from scratch before and really wanted this to be edible since I was making this for dinner for my famiy (I did 2 of each pizza). I don't know if I could have done a self made one for my first try but I'll have a go for my next lot.
Overall, they were really good, and I imagine they'd be even better if I made my own base for them. The Anaconda Vice was by far the favourite, especially the black beans on it, and I've already been asked to make that one again in future. But might add fried onion like in the GTS, since I just like onion.
I imagine these being done at a proper pizzaria by people who knew what they were doing would have been amazing back in the day. Sadly I live 3,800 miles away from Chicago and 12 years into the future from 2012 when they last made these (as far as I know) so fat chance of ever getting that.
Overall these were really tasty and definitely worth the effort. Absolutely gonna make these again with my own pizza base. However, I have no idea how the fuck I'm supposed to explain where I got these recipes from to my family without looking like a complete lunatic. It feels weird to say they were wrestling inspired limited edition pizzas from a random pizzaria in another bloody continent.
Btw I've added a link to a post talking about the actual pizzas with pictures and all. I realise mine look nothing like them but I think they just chopped everything up finer and had different proportions of each topping (and obviously on a better base with thicker crust) so it's no big deal.
I'm probably gonna make at least the Anaconda Vice again in future since it went down so well. So if I can make one that looks a bit better than the ones I've done today, I might post them, too and show the improvement. Cos I swear that they tasted better than they looked in my picure.
#how the fuck has being a wrestling fan made me recreate a decade old pizza recipe??#can't believe this bullshit is what I spend my time doing#ok but no lie these were so fucking good#anaconda vice was the best#could quite happily pig out on these#and I am certainly one fat pig#love this shit#curious if anyone else is gonna have a go making these#you're missing out#cm punk#Youtube

Hi there! I really like your writing, you write plots that suck people in very well. I have a question though, and please take this as genuine curiosity because that really is what it is. What are your thoughts on the, hmmm let's say ethics, of writing fanfiction about real people? Ive found myself drawn to the dynamics of relationships for both real and fictional pairings, but when it's real, there is always something that kind of twinges at me. I've seen interviews where sometimes the subjects get uncomfortable knowing people write about them, and I could see how I might feel wierd about it if it were me. But on the flip side, the stories are of course fiction. You seem very involved in this side of the fandom, and I would be very interested to know your thoughts.
Putting this under a cut bc it’s so long lol.
Thank you for the compliments! You made my morning. To answer your question, I think that rpf is a complex and nuanced topic, but what it really boils down to is the subjects' feelings. I’ve written rpf in some capacity for going on thirteen years and will use each of those fandoms as examples to express the nuances of the topic.
When I was 14-16, I wrote WWE fanfiction. The difference between wresting rpf and say, bandom rpf, is that WWE for the most part is fictional and the wrestlers portray some sort of character, even if they go by their real names, therefore it is similar to writing about a tv show or movie (though some people include their real lives and real families). I’ve heard a few wrestlers say that fan fiction is a little weird, but the ones I wrote about never said it made them especially uncomfortable. In fact, Torrie Wilson (my queen), has even tweeted about Jorrie, which is the ship of her and John Cena, which was my first rpf ship I ever wrote about.
When I was 16-18, I wrote YouTube rpf, first about Pewdiepie and Cryaotic (I know, yikes), and those two (especially Cry, and I know, yikes again) spoke at length about how they didn’t mind fan fiction at all. They even read some as content for their channels. I then wrote about Ian and Anthony from Smosh, who also read fan fiction (MANY) times for their different channels. They even read part one of my fics on their channel at one point. Sometimes Ian and Anthony did seem a bit uncomfortable with the fanfiction, but it was more that they didn’t want to read the fics themselves and less that the fics existed. They’ve spoken at length about how they’re happy for people to express themselves in any way, even if it’s through fan fiction about them.
Finally, we have ages 19-now. I’ve written about Jalex for the longest period of my life (nearly ten years, which is nuts). It’s interesting because they’ve made hundreds of jokes about fucking each other for years, made references to fics and how they want people to keep writing them, and Jack even had a Jalex shirt for his JAGK line. Then, around 2012, interviewers started pushing them to talk about it far too much to the point where it made them uncomfortable. So I don’t think it was the fics themselves, but rather being asked about them and being put on the spot.
I say all of this to say that I think rpf is okay if you do the following:
Find out if the subject has explicitly stated that they do not want to be included in fic.
DO NOT send the fics to anyone you’ve written about (unless they’ve asked for them, for some reason). Also, do not mention fics or shipping to these people (unless, again, they’ve asked you to).
I think that people have the right to not want to be written about, but as you said, it is purely fiction. Also, when people have large platforms and have lots of fans, there are “fan” things that kind of just happen, not just fics, but also fanart, fan edits, speculation, gossip, etc. It’s part of the fame. The love and admiration people hold for their favorite celebrities has to go somewhere and that’s often through fanwork.
I hope this somewhat answers your question! I can only speak from my own experience, but this is the conclusion I’ve come to after years of rpf. If you’re interested in participating, we’d love to have you! Our fandom is small, but loyal and tight-knit. Much love!

so. imagine this: you are tyler black, a young wrestler on the independent circuit. there is another young wrestler working the indies, jon moxley, and you hear about him all the time but you've never actually wrestled him and you've only really met him once in the back of a truck.
the year is 2010, and you sign with Florida Championship Wrestling, FCW– the (at the time) developmental territory for famous company WWE. you change your name to seth rollins, and you're doing pretty good there, actually. then another guy signs, the guy you met that one time actually, except now his name is dean ambrose. and he's a little obsessed with you. you have this feud where you stare longingly at eachother and try to figure out what this guy wants with you, and continue to orbit eachother throughout your time in fcw-nxt
then, one day, in 2012, you get a call. they want you to come up to the big boy roster– but not just you. they take you, they take that guy leakee you know (roman reigns), and they take dean. they put you all on a team and give you black tactical gear and throw you into the metaphorical lions den together. you and these two other men who will become your brothers in arms, all against the world.
and that is how the shield debuts! described as "two indie schmucks and a football player", seth, dean, and roman go into that world together and soon enough an incredibly dominant force in the wwe universe, one that stands for justice and truth, which obviously makes them a lot of enemies. they may be hired by cm punk's manager to protect him, you know, if anyone can prove that (plead the fifth) but they go from little mercenaries for hire to their own unit, and start working for themselves, because they don't need anyone but them– and working together like they do, they get to the top of the food chain very quickly.
this much success and power might not be good for them, honestly, because dean starts acting out and being more and more impulsive, and him and roman start butting heads, with seth left to try to mediate until it frustrates him to the point of walking out on them during a match. but they're good, right? they talk through it, hit eachother a little bit, but all brothers fight sometimes. they still love eachother!
and then seth destroys everything.
he takes a chair to the backs of his brothers, beats them ruthlessly while the crowd screams "why" at him, as seth decides to join up with the authority, a heel stable led by triple h, the big boss of wwe, and his wife stephanie. he sells out his family and his integrity for the chance to be something bigger, promises triple h feeds into his ears of being a champion all by himself. how he was the one who created the shield, he was more than dean and roman if he would only let the authority help him get there.
roman takes his feelings of betrayal to the authority, to the money-hungry soulless people that run this company, dean, though. he takes everything straight to seth. he vows to haunt seth for the rest of their lives, to burn together, to make seth feel the amount of pain that he's put dean in. and he keeps losing, with seth getting away at the last second with help of the authority or running away from him, but dean just chases him. ruins every chance he has of cashing in his MITB contract, runs in on his matches, steals his belts and briefcase and even makes him the victim of harmless pranks just to make sure he can never rest. dean is written off as being crazy, part of his "lunatic" reputation, but everything he does is to mask the heartbreak he feels, for losing his brother, his best friend, losing the only safe space he's ever had with the shield. even during their summerslam he can't stop himself from kissing seths forehead and telling him he loved him before stomping his head into the ground. seth is having trouble choosing between being the authoritys good little lap dog and the regret and feelings he still has for his former best friend, not really taking any joy out of their matches together when he wins. even when their feud isn't quite as intense as it once was, they stay bitter exes, even if dean eventually loses some of the anger he held. and they go their seperate ways, seemingly putting eachother in their pasts.
in the meantime, though, seth realizes that the authority used him as a means to destroy the shield, and hunter discarded him the second he was no longer useful to him. he realizes that he let those empty promises get into his head and that he destroyed his family for it, to get nothing in the end. realizes that love shouldn't be conditional, he shouldn't only feel worthy when he's winning things for the authority. that he doesn't like who he became, and he tells hunter all of this to his face and defeats him during their match at wrestlemania 33, getting justice for the version of himself in 2014 that he lost forever. he reconciles with roman, and once dean makes his way back around to him, he's seemingly undergone his whole redemption arc and they live happily ever after!
just kidding, dean still doesn't trust him, and he sure as hell doesn't forgive him. ("I got burned by you once, not gonna happen again.") seth tries a lot of things, helping dean out with fighting miz, saying he's changed. dean tells him he's not interested in a shield reunion, that seths burnt all his bridges with him, but when seth finds himself in trouble with miz and the miztourage– dean comes out to save him.
theyre brought together by a mutual enemy in the miz, with seth trying to rekindle their bond and dean practically running in the opposite direction. seth ends up apologizing in front of an entire crowd, the first time he's ever apologized for The Incident, and even tells dean to hit him with a chair if it'll help him because he just wants them back together. dean throws the chair to the side, refusing to strike him, but he doesn't accept the apology either. but he cant help their natural wrestling chemistry coming out in full swing every time they're in the ring together, like they never missed a beat in all their years apart. he knows they work well together, but he doesn't reciprocate any emotional advances. he's terrified of being hurt again, as much as he clearly wants it. they're an incredible tag team, though, despite their relationship issues, with them eventually becoming tag team champions. they reunite with roman to fight the miz, and the shield makes their official return in 2018. and they lived happily ever after.*
*(well. roman has a hiatus for health reasons, they have dean turn heel and betray seth, and the writing is so bad that dean kind of leaves the company entirely. they give the shield one last ride to say goodbye to dean, though. and then that's that. but close enough.)
Evil. I thought you actually meant it ended well, what is this. Evil.
Love them, this is evil
Boys hug it out frowning face emoji ! !
You gave me an idea, I'll be back, you did this to me

You have not been shy about mentioning you have been a wrestling fan in the past, so are you interested about wrestlemania this week and have you ever been to a big show?
Are you kidding me? I've been a fan since I was a little kid and the intensity of my interest has come and gone over the years, but pro wrestling is in an amazing place right now! WWE is currently selling out every single time they do a show anywhere around the world and they are firing on all cylinders creatively. Wrestling is never better than when there is good competition, too, and AEW has incredible matches every week on TV, so that's great too.
And The Rock not only came back to WWE, but he came back and turned into a bad guy -- an even more amazing heel version of his character than he's ever been. I'm 1000% interested in WrestleMania this weekend! It should be a lot of fun, and I wish I was there in Philadelphia to check it out.
As for the last part of your question, yes, I've been to a bunch of big shows over the years. I used to have some nice connections with WWE and they always took good care of me whenever they were in or near cities that I was living in. They gave me incredible seats at the 1,000th episode of Raw in St. Louis in 2012, but the biggest show I went to was WrestleMania XIX in 2003 (those seats weren't as great, but I was still grateful and it was a cool experience!). This should be an awesome week if you're a wrestling fan and I'm going to enjoy it.

THIS MATCH MAKES ME VERY EXITED, HERE'S WHY
I can't wait for Bound For Glory, the main event is set. The Challenger is, The Walking Weapon Josh Alexander Vs one half of the Motor City Machine Guns and current IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley. Let's talk about it.
Now I'm not that big of an impact girlie. I was, when I was younger in the UK I couldn't get WWE on TV but I had access to TNA/IMPACT so that was the wrestling I watched in my youth and actually kept watching it for a while. In fact I'm going to go to see IMPACT live in the UK with my dad soon, which is brilliant remembering the time we spent watching IMPACT before. We're going to have such a good time.
This doesn't stop me from being VERY excited about this match. I've still been aware of the product even while I haven't been watching and I watched IMPACT 1000, saw their segment and WOW it was good.
Let's start with Alex Shelley, my little Motor City Blorbo, Shelley was brought into IMPACT using their old business strategy of 'Sign ultra talented ROH guys' that got them Styles, Sabin, Joe and Daniels. From 2004 to 2007 he would be a exciting feature of the X Division winning said title once. His true success would come between 2007 and 2012 in the team known as 'The Motor City Machine Guns' Shelley and partner Chris Sabin became on of the most influential and defining teams in IMPACT history before Shelley left IMPACT to work for ROH and NJPW.
On the other hand Josh Alexander came into IMPACT in 2019 (annoying just after I stopped watching so I missed out) also in the tag division having a lengthy singles run with Ethan Page as 'The North' who, despite being in a company that doesn't usually get considered for being the best, were considered to be one of the best tag teams in the world. And to stress, this was at the same time as The New Day, The Usos, The Young Bucks and FTR so being considered one of the best teams in this time is saying something. When Page departed the company Alexander got the big push, winning the X Division title then cashing in option C to become IMPACT World Champion. Then Moose beat him and ran him out of impact. But upon Alexander's return he reclaimed the title and became the longest reigning IMPACT World Champion of all time. A near year long reign that ended with Alexander having to relinquish the title because of a triceps tear.
Here in lies our conflict. Alexander wants to reclaim his title but he is also exited to wrestle Alex Shelley as he says "No one is a bigger fan of Alex Shelley than I am." or something like that. But Shelley wants to keep this belt at all costs. That's why he belittled Alexander at IMPACT 1000, because Alexander is trying to take away the biggest achievement of his life. An achievement that Alexander has had twice, but in his long career this is Shelley's first IMPACT World Championship reign. And one more detail in this story, that I only realised while writing this, is that while Alex Shelley is the tag partner who left (and then came back) out of him and Chris Sabin, Josh Alexander is the tag partner who stayed out of him and Ethan Page. As much of and IMPACT guy as Shelley wants to claim he is, Josh Alexander stayed and became one of the faces of IMPACT during it's resurgence and continued to be a defining 'IMPACT guy' during the pandemic. As much as I personally love Alex Shelley, there are lots of reasons to cheer Josh Alexander come the 21st.
And I think that's a large part of it. I used to watch IMPACT. I am nostalgic for IMPACT's past, people like Alex Shelley. But presently Josh Alexander is the guy. Alexander doesn't want this to be personal, but Shelley desperately wants to be the guy.
They are the past and present of IMPACT fighting for it's future.
Goddamn I deserve a job backstage working on hype packages.
And I have no idea who's going to win. Maybe people who watch more IMPACT have an idea but I don't. And that's exciting. I am so hyped for this match thank you for listening. I'm so excited to be an IMPACT fan again.
#impact wrestling#bound for glory#josh alexander#alex shelley#motor city machine guns#i am so hyped#get hyped with me#this is gonna be sick

Behind The Iron Claw : The Von Erich Story Part 3 : The New Generation
Hello Everyone! Here is the third and final part of ‘ Behind The Iron Claw: The Von Erich Story ’. If you haven’t read Parts one and two , please go check them out ! I also want to say thank you for taking the time to read this series and my other articles I have here on my blog! In this article , I’ll be discussing the third generation of Von Erichs in professional wrestling.
Lacey Dawn Adkisson ( Lacey Von Erich ) was born July 17, 1986. Lacey is Kerry Von Erich’s daughter and Fritz Von Erich’s granddaughter. Lacey stepped foot in the squared circle in 2007 with WWE as a developmental talent for Florida Championship Wrestling ( FCW ) . She was also the first member of the third generation of the Von Erich family to do so. Lacey would make her debut as a valet for Billy Kidman on September 15,2007. She would also be a valet for Ryan O’Reilly ( Konner ) alongside two time WWE Divas Champion, Maryse. In October, she would make her in ring debut against another third generation wrestler , Natalya Neidhart, the daughter of Jim ‘ The Anvil Neidhart ’, granddaughter of Stu Hart, and niece of Bret ‘ The Hitman ’ Hart and Owen Hart. She would also manage Alicia Fox and team with Natalya and Maryse in a match against Fox and Brie and Nikki Bella ( The Bella Twins ). She would be released from her contract after asking to go to OVW. She would spend time on the independent scene and become the Windy City Pro Wrestling Ladies’ Champion in 2009. She won the championship in a Fatal 4 Way match which was her debut for the promotion. Thus, she vacated the championship after being signed to TNA. She would also have a run in Wrestlicious , a women’s wrestling promotion started by Jimmy Hart. Von Erich would make her TNA debut on October 1,2009 as Heel and becoming a member of The Beautiful People ( Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky). She is a one time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion along with Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne .
Kevin Marshall Adkisson and David Michael Ross Adkisson ( Marshall and Ross Von Erich ) are the sons of Kevin Von Erich and grandsons of Fritz Von Erich. Marshall was born on November 10,1992 and Ross was born on June 1, 1988. Lacey Von Erich is their cousin. Marshall and Ross made their profession wrestling debut in 2012 at World League Wrestling, losing in a tag team match against Jason Jones and Brian Breaker. They would also debut for a Japanese promotion called Pro Wrestling NOAH the same year . The brothers would make their wrestling TV debut in 2014 at TNA’s Slammiversary Pay Per View. Kevin would be managing his sons. They would make appearances in TNA from 2014 and 2015 . They would also compete in Action Zone Wrestling , a promotion in Hawaii where they lived. They would win the tag team championships. In the Summer of 2017, they would wrestle alongside Kevin at Rage Megashow in Israel. Therefore , in 2019, Marshall and Ross would find their way to Major League Wrestling ( MLW ). They would become MLW Tag Team Champions after defeating MJF and Richard Holliday ( The Dynasty ) . In 2022, they would face The Briscoes ( Mark and Jay ) at the show for Ric Flair’s Last Match. In 2023, the Von Erichs would appear in AEW and ROH. In 2024, they would team with Dustin Rhodes , the son of the ‘ American Dream ’ Dusty Rhodes , to win the Ring Of Honor World 6-Man Tag Team Championships at AEW Battle Of The Belts XI (11). ( I did do an article on that match and my reaction to it ! ). Marshall and Ross are also the hosts of The Von Erich podcast. They would interview guests such as ‘ The Perfect 10 ’ Baby Doll, and their mother , Pam.
Lacey’s sister , Hollie alongside Marshall and Ross’ sister , Kristen , also have a podcast. It’s called Growing Up Von Erich. They feature guests such as Natalya Neidhart and family members such as Cathy , Hollie and Lacey’s mother.
My Final Thoughts:
I have so much respect for the Von Erich family. I wrote this series to hopefully help all of you , my amazing readers, to understand who they are and how they impacted wrestling through tragedy and triumph. I enjoy both podcasts and enjoy watching Marshall and Ross when they appear on AEW TV. Lacey was also my favorite member of The Beautiful People . This has to be my favorite series I’ve done here on my blog. Trust me, it took hours of research to put the series together.
Love You All,
- Kay

G4 2.0: A Longwinded Eulogy
November 16, 2021 - the G4 cable channel relaunches after seven years away, a rare second chance for a mainstay from the era of niche-catered cable television.
November 18, 2022 - the G4 cable channel shuts down after spending a whole month on zombie autopilot mode.
First, a bit of backstory: the era of niche-catered cable television was a wonderful time, channels for anything and everything filling cable platforms in the late 90s and throughout the 2000s. This was the peak of television, and if you had a maxed out cable package you were set.
One such channel that exceled in this wide open market was a channel based out of San Francisco called ZDTV, a channel focused solely on the growing tech and computer market, though it would change to a more recognizable name in 2000: TechTV.
Unfortunately, though, when you’re in a hypercompetitive niche cable market, you either have to stand out or you’ll fall behind. They inevitably fell behind with layoffs and programming cutbacks, though they did have three core staples to them: The Screen Savers, X-Play, and Anime Unleashed. But it was in the latter years of its singular life where it veered away from business tech talk and shifted toward a more general male audience who happened to also be into casual tech talk. This worked… for a short while.
In May of 2004, TechTV merged operations with G4, a venture and channel helmed by Comcast in direct competition with TechTV, and relocated operations to Los Angeles as the very longwinded G4TechTV before becoming solely G4 in 2005. And those three staples remained, with one having a new name: The Screen Savers become Attack of the Show, X-Play remained X-Play, and Anime Unleashed also hung around for a short while longer.
By the mid-2000s, people who knew G4 knew what they were all about, with a strong lineup of in-house originals: Cheat!, Cinematech, Arena, G4 Icons, X-Play with Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb, Attack of the Show! now with Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn (later with Candace Bailey), live convention coverage from places like E3 and CES, this was a channel hitting their true stride. But the good times wouldn’t last long, as Comcast does what Comcast always does: cut back to save a few bucks.
Layoffs, schedule decreases, and drops in viewership were leading things into a bad spot, and by 2011 there were talks and rumors of the channel being sold to either the UFC or WWE to be their own channel. Then in 2012, Pereira and Sessler were let go by G4, with all original programming ceasing production by the end of the year. And that’s all on top with what Comcast had planned for its channel space: replace it with something else in 2013.
Short version, that replacement never happened, it instead went to another Comcast-owned channel space, and G4 was essentially left on zombie autopilot mode while more and more cable providers cut the channel from their lineups. And on December 31, 2013, its final day of broadcast on whoever still had it in their cable package, it capped off its 11-year run with their Top 100 Video Games countdown retrospective and the 2003 “re-debut” episode of X-Play, before signing off with how the G4 channel launched in 2002: Pong.
And then it went away, left to remain in the vast mental vacuums of our collective nostalgia.
Then the word came out in July 2020 that this was going to come back. Cue up the nostalgia excitement.
So how do you restart a 2000s-era cable channel in the 2020s, and in the middle of a global pandemic and health crisis? Very slowly.
It took nearly a year and a half for the relaunch, now helmed by Comcast Spectacor (the division of Comcast who owns several Philadelphia sports teams), to kick off, and while the initial fanfare was jovial the final product handled for the network was… lacking.
Keep in mind that when G4 was in its stride in the mid-2000s the internet was a much differnet place. There weren’t 24/7 HD quality live streams and 4K quality video on demand that can be pulled up on a moment’s notice, and instant communication was limited to specific messenger clients and text forums. YouTube and Facebook were only just mere ideas and Twitch was still many years away. So what do you do in a world that has all of that, and more?
You cross the streams. But that didn’t work, either.
Newer audiences may only know of G4 for its past and weren’t there during its heyday, so they wouldn’t be interested in what a linear television channel about gaming would have to offer. And older audiences who remember those old shows would be very much interested in those shows being revived, so long as the focus is on the linear channel - it wasn’t, as their primary audience was being catered to its YouTube and Twitch livestreams, a different audience altogether.
Therein lies the major issue: trying to cater to two completely differnet audiences who don’t cross over. And in contrast to how G4 originally adapted to new media in the 2000s with the growth of podcasts and the introduction of Twitter, this stream-crossing felt like a lack of singular focus when there could have been both.
And here’s where that works: X-Play and Attack of the Show would be returning, but in very differnet forms, first as livestreams and then being aired as glorified “highlight shows” in the days following on its linear television channel, alongside other previously-streamed programs that served to fit the gaming niche audience who, by 2021, mostly migrated away from television toward other internet platforms and personalities. Simply put, nobody is going to go to a television channel first to hear about e-sports drama or a “causal Friday” Twitch stream.
Also, I’m fairly certain nobody watching television wanted to be told by Kevin Pereira that “NFT art is great, you’re all too stupid to get it” but at least he got properly roasted for it almost immediately and THAT snafu was never mentioned ever again.
Then there was the novelty and oddity of Scott the Woz being shown on G4 in the form of ten hour-long compilation episodes of some of his videos, albeit not on the best foot forward as its 6:30pm debut broadcast was upended due to an Amazon Web Service glitch and instead aired at 10:30pm that night… with a few censor bleeps missing. Again, a novelty and oddity if there ever was.
In terms of other programming on the channel, it was mostly filled with constant reruns of their first-run programs, while they did have a later G4 staple in Ninja Warrior back alongside Takeshi’s Castle and the 1980s Starcade to fulfill the needs for people watching the linear channel. One could surmise that those would be insufficient offerings, but at least there’s plenty of games coverage to be had, right?
Yeah, about that. The video game industry in 2022 is much, MUCH different than the video game industry was 15 years ago. The entire industry has been caught in a tech-crunch arms race and games riddled with constant delays, updates, and microtransactions, and coupled with the current state of E3 and Geoff Keighley’s presentations being less-than-stellar one could argue that the video game industry is in a low point at this current moment. There isn’t much excitement to be had across the board.
And then we come to the big problem with how G4 was relaunched: its main audience of 20-something males from the 2000s have moved on toward other channels and services, and a lot of those attitudes and its zeitgeist was left behind long ago. You couple all of those issues together, and you end up with a channel without any real identity.
If you’ve followed this thread this far and you know what happened with G4 in 2022, you’re wondering when I’ll mention THAT incident. So here it is.
No, Frosk did not singlehandedly kill G4 with her on-air rant. Anyone who honestly believes that one individual can tank a cable network like that is either a goddamn idiot or a sexist clown. Or maybe both, it’s certainly believable, given the reports of harassment and doxxing that happened which is NEVER okay.
Instead, Comcast does what Comcast does best: layoffs to save a buck or two. And, much like before, when coupled with record-low viewership (hovering within 1,000 average viewers per night), the writing, as they say, was on the wall. A lot of details come from an excellent writeup by Nathan Grayson of the Washington Post, digging far deeper than any of us would have ever guessed.
Appearances and stream raids paid for with five figures, virtually invisible talent relations, constant production flux, and then the final straw last month: a memo leaked to Deadline outlining the channel’s sunsetting. Except said memo wasn’t sent to talent and crew, first. So they all found out at the same time we did. In an instant, all of the work and plans the talent and crew still had for the network was gone and ignited into ash. No more X-Play. No more Attack. No new Icons. And no new Starcade.
And for a month after that, the channel has been operating on zombie autopilot mode, somehow in far worse shape than its year-long zombified state in 2013. Until now, on November 18th of the year 2022, where after 367 days G4 has, once again, shut down. The fact of the matter is, in the year 2022 going on 2023, we don’t really need G4 on television. There is a plethora of off-air recordings all over the internet of its peak era for us to go back to watch and laugh with and even cringe at, but those come from a bygone era of television that, sadly, doesn’t exist anymore and won’t be coming back.
G4 2.0 tried - goddamn it, they somehow tried - but they just couldn’t find an audience or be given enough time and resources to correct its trajectory before the plug was pulled. It could have been something greater, but in the end, all G4 and Comcast can get for this is an honor truly worthy of its disastrous run:
The Golden Mullet.

No One Lives
With a title like NO ONE LIVES (2012, Prime), you start out with low expectations. Now, add the fact that it was produced by WWE Entertainment, and you’ll expect even less. Then throw in the directing credit, Ryuhei Kitamura, whose THE PRICE WE PAY (2022) I just hated (and no, I wasn’t planning on doing two of his films in a row, but Amazon doesn’t list directors). Is it possible to move one’s expectations into the negative zone? Yes, it’s the schlock de la schlock. But big surprise, it has a pulpy energy that carries through most of it if you have a high gore tolerance. Helping greatly is the fact that Luke Evans and Adelaide Clemens in the leads make something of their underwritten characters. She’s so good you can’t help wishing for a better ending. A group of crooks headed by Lee Tergesen — who has precious little to do before he goes the way of all Steve Buscemi, eh?— kidnaps a tourist (Evans) and brings his car and trailer to their remote forest cabin (at this point in time, would anybody even consider staying in a remote forest cabin?). When they go through the trunk, they find a bound woman (Clemens). Yes, they just kidnapped a very resourceful and inventive serial killer, and the van is his kill kit. The kills are highly imaginative and only one is sexually exploitative. It all moves like a house afire, and Evans makes even the cheesiest dialog sound almost clever. Sample: Clemens: “You must be out of your mind. Evans: “I’m very much in my mind.” In this film, Kitamura’s direction is stylish without going into overkill. His camera glides along with Evans as he goes about his business and performs at least one pan that made me laugh. Since this is a WWE production, the cast includes one of their wrestlers, Brodus Clay (aka Tyrus aka The Funkasaurus), but the script doesn’t push him beyond his capabilities, and he has great physical presence. For those so inclined, I’ll also point out that Evans is one of the sexiest serial killers ever to grace a bad horror film. Hey, we take our kicks where we can get them.
