I actually think Luke is serious about A. That age gap is typically what men marry these days. I think he's crazy about her and was taking it slow after a long term break up before going official. one of the reasons i say this is because luke doesn't seem too inclined to keep a completely friendly distance between himself and nic - i heard that the QC leads india and corey were shipped really hard by fans as well and he had a gf during the whole press run - and towards the end india and corey started posing separately on carpets (i.e. no touching, no friendly hand around shoulder even during photos etc) because they wanted to emphasise that they were really just friends.

luke in contrast seems to have no qualms about blurring lines - and one of the reasons the more rabid fans kept insulting Antonia was a direct result of the fact that he kept stating his "single" status to press. I think he could have helped Antonia avoid a lot of the flak she drew by just stating that he's seeing someone. but maybe he felt it would draw even more attention to his private life and her? idk. i don't want to puzzle over his motivations because I don't believe they are too complex - I've said this many times before and I'll keep saying it - no matter how good a man seems (and I do believe Luke is very good and sweet), trying to justify anything they do is still a sure path to disappointment.

more importantly: please don't feel dumb for falling for the hope that nic and luke could be together! i really don't think they were being deliberately disingenuous - i actually think the opposite - i think they themselves are often confused about what they really are and it's just easier to define it as being great friends. it's strange but i get the feeling that they see each other as a source of potential - it's simultaneously impossible and also the easiest thing in the world for them to envision a reality where they're together - there just seems to be many barriers to it happening for real. they're comfortable living in the liminal space between great friendship and great romantic love - it definitely explains why nic said she doesn't have a relationship in her life that's anything close to what she has with luke. I think there just needs to be a decisive push for them to ever move out of this grey area. it'll have to be something massive for it to ever happen... and it's not something I hold out hope for (again, just to avoid disappointment!)

this got really long; I wish nic and luke all the best and I think they have something very special with each other. I think life has many many stops along the way and I don't think luke has found a final stop in his romantic journey with antonia - they are both very young and they don't have the vibe of "together forever" couples - if they did (since luke is such a big believer in love at first sight) - he'd have laid down a commitment a lot sooner.

I had mixed feelings about having Y/n in AEW, sure it was great to see her after all these years but it was strange since how much we had both changed. I remember when I first saw Y/n after all our years apart. I walked as quickly as one could walk in a public place and not be accused of stealing things doing my best to rush through the almost empty pedestrianised street. Many of the lights are just turning on, a few of them still surrounded by darkness. The shops all shut up with only the lights in their windows to advertise some with the changing screens of various advertisements. The bell rolled as the door opened so I happily took a moment to enjoy the peace. I wandered inside running my fingers across the various titles checking for anything I didn't already have on my shelf.

"I was wondering when you were going to show up," his voice spoke up.

I glanced over seeing Newt standing having emerged from the backroom, his right hand on the counter beside the till, his hip playfully knocked to the left, in his dirty blue knock-off high tops with strawberry print laces, light blue jeans with old faded belt, a grey t-shirt with long sleeves and a plaid button down of various blues with both shirts sleeves rolled to his elbows, the slight silver glint of the chain below his shirt and course the huge square black glasses on his nose that always gave him a strange bug-eyed look as both lenses slightly widened his eyes one slightly more so then the other not noticeable if you glanced at him but I'd seen him enough I had noticed it a lot. The gas station was less quiet than you'd think at this time of night, even in a town this small. It didn't seem strange at first, but over this week I've started to wonder why people just… hang out here, usually alone. And it's always older men.

They're scary obviously, in the way that all older white men are when you're a trans woman in a rural town at 1:04am. But they probably wouldn't bother me while I'm working, even if they did clock me. Not to mention I'm just here for 2 weeks anyway while I'm staying with my aunt. It's been a few days now since David Greenbaum was named head of Walt Disney Studios. We should be getting an idea of what his vision for the studio will be once something is greenlit, which may take a little while. There were properties and ideas that his predecessor, Sean Bailey, had toyed around with but didn't make a move on... He could put one of those into production (and there were *plenty*), maybe not. Maybe something never before announced?

TRON: ARES, the TRON-in-name-only movie being directed by Joachim Ronning and bringing back *nobody* from the first two films, is underway with a first look image out. This is the last of the Bailey-era greenlights, along with MOANA live-action, which is likely to vacate its June 27, 2025 release date. I wouldn't be surprised if ARES movie fills the slot after it sails away. MALEFICENT 3 apparently was in the works, too, but who knows if that goes forward following this leader change. The 2nd one kinda just did okay and existed for a bit.

I wonder how many projects Bailey wanted to do end up making it under Greenbaum's watch? Usually a change in leadership means a new start, and if you know me well, I'm not fond of Bailey's legacy: The remakes of Disney's animated features. The well has arguably run dry, too, and it makes me wonder what kind of promo muscle will be put into the upcoming LION KING prequel and next year's SNOW WHITE. And whether planned re-dos of stuff like THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME moves forward or not. BAMBI, HERCULES and LILO & STITCH, last I checked, are Disney+ originals. LILO & STITCH live-action is filming as of now, but I'm not sure if the other ones make it. Some theme park movies, too, like SPACE MOUNTAIN and JOURNEY INTO IMAGINATION... Wonder where those will go.

When watching the new Walt Disney Animation Studios show IWAJU last night, I noticed Byron Howard's name in the credits as "Executive Producer". Usually that's for one person, the leader of the studio. That's Jennifer Lee, who was named Chief Creative Officer of WDAS in June 2018 following John Lasseter's prolonged exit.

Howard - who directed on BOLT and TANGLED, and pitched and directed ZOOTOPIA and ENCANTO - was at one point thought to be Lasseter's successor, along with WRECK-IT RALPH director Rich Moore, who was ZOOTOPIA's other director. Lee got the gig, and many have been critical of the films being released under her 5-year watch. Most of which are Lasseter leftovers anyways. WISH and IWAJU are new, Lee-era greenlights, as well as - presumably - that fantasy movie set in the Middle East from director Suzi Yoonessi that apparently was supposed to come out this year but MOANA 2 took its place. All the Disney+ shows - BAYMAX!, ZOOTOPIA+, and TIANA - were hers, too. Per an old article in 2019, Josie Trinidad and Marc Smith could have feature films in the works.

We really don't have that much of an idea of what her WDAS really is, other than Disney+ shows and Lasseter greenlights. Her tenure has also, curiously, been marked by a lot of focus group interference. On a level I haven't seen before with these movies, and it's a very possible explanation for why STRANGE WORLD and WISH struggled, and the general sort-of blah reaction to their recent output. Maybe not. If we are to go by streaming metrics, regular people who aren't very online seemed to quite dig ENCANTO and RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON, STRANGE WORLD did good on Disney+, and I'm sure WISH will too. But getting people into the theater to see your $150-200m movie is quite the task, and making Disney Junior-caliber stuff ain't gonna cut it if you want a mass audience to show up.

Anyways, Byron Howard previously got an executive producer credit on FROZEN II, which I suppose happened because Lee was writer-director of that movie like she was on the first FROZEN. Someone had to run the studio while she was directing, right? You'll notice that the credits for RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET, which was in production during Lasseter's exit (that started with a "sabbatical leave" that began in November of 2017, and ended with his canning in June), there are three exec producers named: Lasseter, Lee, and Chris Williams. Again, needing someone to run the ship when there is no leader or their leader is directing. Pixar did the same for SOUL, which leader Pete Docter directed. Dan Scanlon and Kiri Hart were executive producers on that film.

But afterwards, no need for Howard to run things... Until IWAJU, curiously. I wonder why he's listed as executive producer on that particular project? Is it some kind of hint that he's next in line to run Walt Disney Animation Studios? Especially following the box office disasters of STRANGE WORLD and WISH? Or does it just... Mean nothing? After MOANA The Series was apparently coming along so well that it became MOANA The Movie Sequel, maybe not. Somebody was doing something right, and no matter how the movie turns out, it's sure to pocket an *easy* billion. Ditto ZOOTOPIA 2 and FROZEN III. But an original, post-COVID outbreak movie release, remains the hard nut to crack. In a no-COVID world, RAYA and ENCANTO would've done better at the box office. The studio hasn't had an original movie that covered its budget at the box office since... MOANA... All the way back in 2016/17...

Not that that means anything, but WISH and STRANGE WORLD did shockingly low for what they were. Even for post-COVID outbreak releases, they didn't enjoy the legs of pictures like cousin studio's ELEMENTAL, alongside MIGRATION, DC LEAGUE OF SUPER-PETS, THE BAD GUYS, etc. Something's gotta change, I reckon.

There are two clear items to consider when it comes to things that this child has held onto over the years. First of which is the oldest of the pair, and pretty much represents the one time she was really happy with her birth parents. And that's an old photo of her on the carousel with her parents. Smol child. Happy and smiling. Even her parents are... well. They weren't yelling. Or fighting. And in painful cases like this it's all you can ask for.

The photo was ripped up. At one point. But it's since taped back together and Mizuki keeps it up on the corkboard in Date's apartment. A reminder. Even if she's moving on with her life. She still had that previous one. It still existed. It shaped her, for better or worse. And she knows she deserved... deserves more than what they gave.

Doesn't change that those two were her parents in my canon anyway fuck the adoption shit.

SECOND item is of course Adorabbit. A gift from Date not long after she moved in with him since her parents weren't able to take care of her on their own. Work priorities, y'know? Mizuki initially thought it was ugly, but unbeknownst to herself that gesture left such a huge impact that she looped around to loving it. It's special. Even as a child after the fact, she can't ironically pretend to dislike it.

To me Adorabbit represents one of the first times that someone presented Mizuki with something to appreciate that wasn't connected to progress and accomplishment. It was something she could like and appreciate... just for the sake of liking and appreciating. I see Renju and Shoko's house as one of rules, numbers, and metrics to be met for a normal child. Growth was mechanical. Not organic. And it definitely wasn't something that fostered emotional growth the right way. The rabbit and her love for it, represents her (not always projected) appreciation for frivolity in life. And the strange weird stuff. Like her.

🎸 - Can your muse play any instruments? Do they play them often, or rarely? How actually skilled are they at playing them?

Given how Mizuki spends free time around a talent agency with Iris, it's a given she's exposed to a multitude of instruments. Not just idols and dancing and singing. She'll try her hand at some instruments, I think. There's curiosity for growth and appreciation as I've mentioned above. But for it to reach proper maturity (given her stunted emotional growth) I don't think it could manifest into disciplined skill until she's a bit older.

Guitar still calls out to her, of course. It's a front line instrument that gets spotlight and appreciation. We know Mizuki likes to show off and get attention (on her terms) as an 18 year old. And shredding the guitar strings is a great way to do that. So overall- she's sporadic. Mizuki tries a lot of things but only sticks to some. Card games being an example. Because it's competitive. Music isn't as much so.

🎤 - Can your muse sing well? Do they sing often? If they were to stand up in front of a crowd, would they be able to sing in front of all of those people?

I think she can probably sing... alright? Iris points out she's a good dancer in the first promo videos so she has that. As far as singing goes I believe carries a tune but I wouldn't expect grand solos from this girl or harmonic shows of talent. Dirty vocalist material in a girl band with all that gusto, however. Because she's got charisma and bravery as she gets older to be more seen by others.

For better or worse... her bravado has left her sans a lot of female friends that are her age. She's got people like Amame and Iris when she's older, sure, but notes that-- well, in certain terms she has things to work on.

So I think while she'd be able to sing in front of a crowd? Who'd be able to listen the whole time?

What's your theory for why Klaus seems to be having Reginald helping with his powers in that one promo shot? I'm thinking it might actually be a flashback/memory mix rather than 'real' however if it reeeeeally happens the reasons why are intriguing. ( I know we have literally nothing to go off, but I'm bored counting down to S3!)

God, so am I. So bored waiting. Like, it's a week until Geeked Week. We're supposed to get something then, but goddamn. And then I'm going to watch the entire season in a single day and the wait will begin again. Eh. At least there will be new material to pick apart.

I generally try not to speculate toooooo much because I don't want speculations to turn into expectations on my part. But you make such a compelling point about boredom, I'm gonna see what I can do.

The way I see it, there are four ways this could go: 1) memory/flashback where Klaus is experiencing it so vividly that it's his adult actor portraying him, 2) a dream sequence, 3) he has somehow connected with the ghost of Umbrella!Reg, who exists somehow because idk God wanted it to happen, the little bitch, and 4) Sparrow!Reg and Klaus doing this in the present day.

Theory 1 could be supported by the fact that this probably resembles the kind of training Klaus would have had as a child. In fact, it highly resembles a scene in You Look Like Death, wherein Klaus is told that he is not allowed home until he speaks with every dead person in the graveyard (also, Reg killed his pet cat to give him incentive to summon it to say goodbye--comics!Reg is fucked up). The downside to this idea is that whatever block Reg is training him through wouldn't get resolved in a flashback. It could be a combination of this with option 2, perhaps, or him looking at an old memory in a new way that makes something click for him. I don't know if Baby Klaus would have a lighter, but he is rolling a joint at age 13 in a flashback, so.

Theory 2 could explain some of the horror tropes--the implication that Klaus is dead (with the tire marks on his clothes), the lighter, stuff like that. It could also further his abilities by having him dig deep into both memories and intuition.

Theory 3 would be very compelling, with an odd idea of Reg trying to clean up his own mess by training his son, but the paradox would make it probably the hardest to explain. It would be very strange for Reg's ghost to exist in a universe where he never died, even if Klaus really does die and God somehow makes it happen.

Theory 4 would also be pretty hard to explain, unless Reg had a very compelling reason to give Klaus a chance. I suspect the only Umbrella he has more disdain for is Diego, and that only by dint of Diego fucking up his relationship with Grace. I'm also not 100% convinced Klaus would seek Reg's training unless there was truly no other option. It would still make more sense than theory 3, and it would also make for a funny initial scene. "Things you've already tried include locking me in a crypt, blah blah blah." The casual horror of Klaus' life. At any rate, if Klaus' powers were somehow found to be pivotal to saving the world, I can see this scenario happening.

I saw people saying that this was something that correlates to Eddie, or at least I assume that was what was being said. Regardless, I don’t think that’s the case. I can’t imagine why in the world a child would end up in prison, but i’m sort’ve leaning toward this being what leads up to Eleven returning to the lab? It’s clear that she’s taken from Rink-O in some kind of van, and then somehow she ends up at a diner way later at night. Again, the issue of her even ending up in police custody strikes as a point of contention, but it’s strange that Eddie of all people would be pulled from jail by a “familiar face” (who i’m 50% sure is Dr. Owens) when he’s a newer character. Also, pretty sure we see two 1980s black sedans out front of the aforementioned diner lol.

There’s also this little thing I noticed between the cards, but I doubt it’s major.

Iirc Eddie has a dad (that’s what I read at least, take it with a grain of salt), so the kids stopping by the trailer before Lover’s Lake (where he’s hiding, assumedly) could be our intro to him. In the case that it isn’t though, and Eddie is attacked by Vecna, I wonder how it’ll end.

This has changed my POV on that first monopoly card. I originally thought it was Eddie being rescued by one of the older people in the Hawkins gang (Robin, Nancy, Steve) because they were in a black car at the trailer park and seem to be with Eddie later. Whilst this could still happen, I think your analysis makes a lot more sense.

One thing I'm not sure about is why Eleven is arrested. I don't think she is taken from rink though. For one thing, she is wearing different clothes. However we see in a promo image that she is with the Cali gang whilst wearing the same dress that has now been stained meaning she went home after the events. I think at the rink she had a drink thrown on her so she tried to use her powers but failed, which is referenced in the cards and also would be a good subversion of expectations. I think I mentioned this before in response to one of your posts. But if she wasn't taken from the rink, what did she do to warrant an arrest? She doesn't have her powers back when she is arrested because if she was taken into custody because of her powers, why wouldn't Dr Owens who I, like you, believe takes her out of police custody call her out when she says she doesn't have any powers?

Maybe the bullies frame Eleven for something that they did? But I don't know if they'd have two framings (Eddie) within one season. Eleven could've maybe done something illegal out of anger but again I'm not sure what this could be. It could've been an accident such as stealing something (she's done it before except on purpose) due to a misunderstanding of social signals which I assume she'll struggle with because she spent her childhood in a lab? I think a misunderstanding is the most likely solution, but this is something I'm not too sure of. Either way, she gets arrested, picked up by Dr Owens and then that night she is taken to the diner to discuss her future.

I'm not sure what you're saying about Eddie's dad. But yes, I think Eddie could get put in a Vecna trance. The card could also be referring to Chrissy as I believe she'll live in the trailer park hence the body bag in the st4 trailer. But I think it is more likely Eddie as his trailer seems to be involved in Upside Down shenanigans as it is a location in the monopoly game and also where Eddie seems to be playing his guitar in the trailer.

Promo "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da" (2009), Christoph "Doom" Schneider  — Interview by Philip Lageat, 16-11-2009, Nantes (Rock Hard #94)

Rock Hard : With six studio albums in the bag, it must be more and more difficult to establish a setlist. How do you deal with that ?

Christoph "Doom" Schneider : Strangely enough, we take our heads less at this level than in the studio. I am therefore going to surprise you by telling you that this is done as simply and naturally as possible, since we ultimately proceed in a very democratic way : each of us draws up a list of our favorite titles. We then compare the desideratas of each... and the majority wins, provided however that the songs chosen fit well into the show. We did it this time around and it worked really well, since we shared an identical opinion on many songs. Personally, I find that we have found a good balance between old songs and new songs. We play a lot of songs from our last album, Liebe Ist Für Alle Da, which suits me well because I admit that I was fed up with some old titles. I was almost sickened by playing them. So we discarded them, otherwise I think we would have quickly become jaded of the new show. So we had to be careful what we choose, because, given the special effects that we deploy on stage, it is quite difficult for us, after the fact, to make big changes in the setlist. It is that each of us must know precisely what to do, and where it must be, during each song : a misstep, a second of inattention, and you are toasted like a peanut ! (laughs) Anyway, a setlist usually follows you during a whole tour and I'm happy with it which, as I said, seems to me to be a happy medium, a pretty harmonious balance, between old and new songs.

RH : Twenty years ago almost to the day, on November 9, 1989, we witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall. As an East German, do you remember this historic moment ?

Christoph : Yes, I was in town. In the middle of the night, I heard the radio announcing that people were destroying the Wall. It must be said that, for a few days already, the rumor had swelled that this was going to happen. But I stayed home because quite frankly, I couldn't believe it ! (laughs) It wasn't until a day or two later that I crossed the Wall for the first time to go west. At the risk of disappointing, I was therefore not one of those people we saw on TV riding the Wall and destroying it with a pickax or hammer. I remember I was of course delighted, but the shock was such that it took me a while to adjust to this new life : during the first two or three years, I had the feeling of not being able to be part of nothing and of everything at the same time, to evolve in a space of total freedom. To tell the truth, it was an extraordinary period ! In East Berlin, it was chaos. We squatted in houses where we organized huge parties... (smile) There were no rules and a sweet scent of anarchy hung in the air. Musically, we all continued to play with our respective bands and for a while it didn't go so badly. Until we realized that the situation had changed dramatically and that these bands belonged to a period from now on bygone, were from another age. We felt that the time had come to start a new adventure by creating another group. The foundations of Rammstein were laid... From the start, we defined what our sound should be. Very quickly we figured out that even if we rehearse hard, we would never be able to sound like an American band. That's why we tried to create something unique, which really looks like us.

RH : Do you remember the first concert you saw in the West ?

Christoph : It probably must have been an unknown punk band. But the first big gig I attended was a Red Hot Chili Peppers show at a tiny club. In 1990, it seems to me. They were not as popular then as they are today and did not perform in large venues yet. Before this concert, I had never heard of it. It was a Californian who was squatting at my house who told me that it was a good group and offered to go see it. When I think about it, I wonder what she and I could say to each other, since I couldn't get a word of English ! (laughs) Anyway, we went to this concert and I took a huge slap. Never before have I seen something so exciting ! This is an evening that I will never forget...

RH : Despite multiple internal friction, Rammstein has always kept the same line-up. How do you explain this stability ?

Christoph : Rammstein is only worth the sum of his individualities and their uniqueness. If one of us left, or whoever, we wouldn't be dealing with the same group. Rammstein would no longer be. So, it's true, there were tensions between us during the recording of the last album (see previous interview), but that's how Rammstein works. I believe in these guys... And then we always had a fight every time we set foot in the studio, and that, for any album. It's just that, when we were younger, we were able to find common ground faster because we were less stubborn and had less ego. Maybe we are too stressed out today when we work together, because we know it is going to be a long and painful process. And that, we find it more and more difficult to bear it. But for me that's a good thing, because these tensions are a blessing, in that they sharpen our creativity. Without them we would not achieve exciting results. We only yell at each other over simple taste issues : "I like it, why don't you like it too?". It's just that sometimes we tend to forget about it and take things too personal. At my level, I now tend not to want to impose my point of view if the majority does not think like me. Others, on the contrary, do not get along with age and refuse to give up even the smallest square inch of land (laughs). Hence endless heated discussions. Not to mention that the producer also has an opinion and that we therefore have to juggle the desires of seven people. You should know that for the most of us no longer get along with the producer (Editor's note: the Swede Jacob Hellner who has so far produced all of Rammstein's albums) in terms of choices and tastes. We have not changed, not evolved one iota. We are still able to develop this stupid energy in order to provoke, and I like that because some people expect us to mature with age, that we become more "adult". And here we are shooting a porn clip (Editor's note: allusion to the video for the single "Pussy") ! (laughs) We're still the same kids who, twenty years ago, were overflowing with youthful enthusiasm : "That's going to be a blast. So what are we waiting for ?"

RH : To conclude, do you really sell this box containing Six dildos that we could see on the Net ?

Christoph : (Visibly embarrassed) I have no answer to that question. I think this is more of a joke than a reality... And then who would buy this anyway ? (laughs)

I'm... mostly confused XD

Generally speaking, you can always tell in which time something is generally set, because, save details here and there, the style fits the time... but here I'm mystified as to what period they are aiming for.

So... first this:

I'm no expert, this one seems to be the most regency-appropriate one, and yet the collar and lapels give me Victorian vibes. Perhaps for the Dickensian villain vibe, but if so, throwing Dickens into Austen is bad taste XD

I have no words for the leather jacket. Just... NO. And this is clearly not what an officer would be wearing in his down time. Someone could say, "oh, but perhaps it is a flashback from the time he first proposed! Sailors dressed that way!" and that last part is true, take a look at this capture from the excellent and extremely underrated Master and Commander:

The problem is... common sailors started sailors and ended sailors. Officers started as officers and climbed the ranks, and there was a stark separation and distinction between them, even between the highest ranking sailor and the lowest ranking officer. Wentworth would have never dressed like a deckhand.

(I seriously insist that if you want to see a navy movie painstakingly vivid and accurate, watch this one).

This is the more benevolent interpretation I can muster for this outift. It doesn't make any kind of sense, otherwise, and would fit more a lower class character in a Victorian or Edwardian piece.

Now... Anne. Oh boy.

So, after looking at the pictures again, and again, I'm coming to this conclusion:

She's always wearing this dress:

Which is mostly period appropriate, but... not really appropriate to the social standing of the Elliots. She may dress plainly, but not that plainly.

So, perhaps, to give it some trim, they added the strange blouses/shirts over it. I cannot remember ever seeing a single regency period drama in which women wore that kind of fashion ever. Even Mansfield Park 1999, with it's attempts of making Fanny look modern with dog ear collars, puts the shirts underneath pinafores and dresses!

The first time I saw this one I thought it was some costume party in which a modern day Anne was attempting a clumsy Gibson girl style. But... no? And don't get me started on that hair with a side part.

I have seen the riding habit mention, but 1) yeah, you wouldn't be wearing just half of your riding habit without the jacket 2) The shirt would still go underneath the dress 3) I cannot find any fashion plates with that kind of collar for the regency period. High ruffled and rounded collars, yes, but not these. Those more masculine trends could be found as avant garde after the 1850s. Also... what's with the sleeves? Jackets and spencers at that point had narrow sleeves, so a puffed sleeve at the bottom makes NO SENSE.

And finally:

What even is this? That sheer ¿linen? ¿shirt? ¿Jacket? you wouldn't be wearing sheer sleeves during the day. But more importantly... what is that collar? and how or why a natural waist garment over an empire waist dress? In regency times??? And the rounded hem... where did that come from? Because an even hem in an empire waisted jacket or spencer makes sense, but for any other period close to that time that wore natural waist fashions, the hem would have some angularity and be longer.

Honestly, I'm all for logical thinking and trying to not jump to conclusions for when strange things happen. And I read your blog today and it almost made sense to me that it could just be a PR tactic and that it's all a part of promo and deliberate decisions to attract just the right people while still seeming normal enough for the gp.

But then I look at only the brave, and I see the environment Louis has been able to create. A lot of the people there holding flags and those lights do it because they're queer themselves. And they do it to stand in solidarity. And no matter what Louis has done, misleading larries at times or saying he doesn't appreciate what that side of the fandom has done, he's somehow managed to create a safe place for all these people. And a lot of them feel confident enough to raise those flags because they believe that he's also a part of the community.

At today's show, there were very strict regulations about pride flags because the country has laws against homosexuality. There were a group of people outside waiting to attack anyone with pride flags. Almost everyone in there knew about it. But they still bought their flags. Because the thought of only the brave without those flags supporting Louis seemed worse than the possibility of people getting hurt because of it. Which sounds so extreme and silly especially for a man who's said that he's straight.

But those people believe in something. And I refuse to believe that Louis doesn't understand that. And he's taking advantage of pointing at Larry signs and doing cryptic things to "signal" that he's part of the community only for the sake of promo. He doesn't owe us anything, I get that. But you have to believe the absolute worst of him or Harry to think they'd take advantage of queer people or anyone who's found comfort in their relationship. It feels wrong to even think about. And especially if their relationship was never real and they aren't together, how gross is it to continue to foster those rumors and make people believe that they can be vulnerable at his concerts because he's convinced them he's a part of their community? If that's your way of reasoning, then you should unstan rn because that's not someone you should be supporting anyway.

Antis and GP can come up with all the excuses they want about why a lot of weird things happen. I can't think of the amount of coincidences that happened today alone but if you want to ingore that, fine. But to point at Larry signs ( yes he has, multiple times. I was there at the shows), singing 7 (it definitely adds fuel to the fire and he's definitely aware of that) , singing change for the first time at the most random concert ever (only it's not random if you think about how YAH tweeted halfway home and yes it is halfway to Harry's album but did you know it's also the halfway point to Louis' shows in this tour? Funny coincidence isn't it?) And to end of, I would like to say, if they have been closeted for the past 12 years like I believe they have been, cryptic things like this and very meticulous planning is their only form of communication. They can't be obvious about it because if they could be, they wouldn't be in the closet.

I agree with everything you said, and that’s why the notion of Larry-baiting makes me so uncomfortable. To take advantage of young queer people who relate to Larry would be kind of… evil. So, I wouldn’t say that I believe it’s all promo, I just kind of want to talk about that possibility. Because I do think it’s a possibility. I really don’t believe Harry or Louis would take advantage of queer fans - especially if Harry and/or Louis are queer themselves. But I also don’t know either of them personally. I don’t know what goes on inside their heads or in their personal lives or careers.

Again, I’m not going to die on the it’s-promo-and-nothing-else hill. Because that’s not really what I believe. But when fandom talks about certain Larry proofs the conversation always goes like this. Larries: “It’s genuine signaling!” Antis: “It’s coincidence!” And I just feel like there’s a third option that’s rarely talked about. Part of me feels like promo season is going to pass, Louis’ tour is going to end, and nothing much will come from this crazy month or two we’ve had.

I’m sorry, anon. I hope I’m not seeming too dismissive, because all your points ring true. I think it’s very, very possible that Larry have something going on right now. That’s what I’m leaning towards, at least.

I don’t know. It’s all very confusing because it seems very incongruent. Holivia still going on -> HS3 promo targeting Larries; Eleanor attending Louis’ shows as his girlfriend -> Louis pointing at Larry signs. I know long term closeting exists, but sometimes I wonder how H/L would have time for a relationship of their own in the midst of actively “stunting” with women, you know? Larries say the “stunts” are meaningless, just ignore them. But the fact of the matter is that “stunting” takes up a lot of H/L’s time. Sometimes wonder how a relationship could exist around that…
