RockLove has re-released the Victorian Heart Necklace!
RockLove’s inaugural Victorian Collection was founder and designer Allison Cimino’s very first line launched in Fall 2007, before the RockLove brand becoming her full-time career in March 2008. The series consisted of earrings, necklaces and bracelets created around two pendant styles: an acanthus fleur-de-lis and a swirling cutout filigree heart. Both were cast replicas of antique Victorian originals and paired with oversized or multi-stranded bundles of chains, oxidized in various grey tones, establishing RockLove’s historical-meets-rock-n-roll style.
This necklace was originally released in 2007 in a sponsorship/collaboration with Emilie Autumn.

Emilie Autumn, RockLove's favorite pink-haired sultry crumpet, was our first official collaboration. Her "victoriandustrial" violin and vocal sound and captivating asylumn-escapee style captured our imagination. Emilie debuted a matching Josephine Chain Bracelet and Necklace in Heart, in addition to piece inspired exclusively by her, the Emilie Silk Choker in Heart, at the Wave Gottik Treffen 2007 in Germany. Since then, we have had the pleasure of meeting countless wonderful EA fans and have plans with Emilie to produce exclusive EA Merch jewelry in the future. (x)

Jewelry Trends for 2025: What’s Hot in the World of Gems and Metals
Jewelry trends are always evolving, and as we step into 2025, the world of gems and metals is set to experience exciting changes. Whether you're a jewelry enthusiast or someone looking to update your collection, knowing what's hot in the jewelry world can help you stay ahead of the curve. In this article, we'll take a look at the hottest jewelry trends for 2025, from colorful gemstones to bold metal combinations and everything in between.
1. Colorful Gemstones are Making Waves
While diamonds have long been the go-to gemstone for fine jewelry, 2025 is seeing a rise in the popularity of colorful gemstones. Vibrant hues are becoming the centerpiece of statement pieces, and people are increasingly looking for gems that reflect their personality.
Emerging Gemstones to Watch:
Paraiba Tourmaline: Known for its bright, electric blue-green color, this gemstone is one of the hottest trends for 2025. Its vibrant hue is perfect for rings, necklaces, and earrings that make a statement.
Tanzanite: With its rich violet-blue tones, tanzanite is growing in popularity, offering a more exotic alternative to sapphires and amethysts. This rare gemstone is perfect for those who want something truly unique.
Morganite: Soft pink morganite has become increasingly sought-after for its delicate color and affordable price. It’s a fantastic choice for engagement rings and other fine jewelry.
Why This Trend? As people seek out individuality and expressiveness in their jewelry, colorful gemstones are the perfect way to make a bold yet personal statement. These gems offer a range of colors that suit different tastes, from soft pastels to vibrant, intense shades.
2. Vintage-Inspired Jewelry is Back
2025 is all about nostalgia, with jewelry designs that take inspiration from the past. Vintage and retro styles are making a big comeback, offering timeless elegance combined with modern craftsmanship.
Key Styles to Look For:
Victorian-Inspired Rings: Intricate designs featuring delicate filigree, small diamonds, and colorful gemstones will be popular. These rings often have a romantic, antique feel.
Art Deco Designs: The clean lines, geometric shapes, and bold color contrasts that define Art Deco will continue to inspire jewelry in 2025. Think of pieces with emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds set in sharp, angular designs.
Chunky Chains: The '80s and '90s saw the rise of chunky chain necklaces and bracelets, and they’re making a strong return in 2025. These pieces bring a bold, statement-making look to any outfit.
Why This Trend? Vintage jewelry speaks to a sense of history and craftsmanship that is often missing in mass-produced pieces. People are embracing these designs for their timelessness and the sense of connection to the past.
3. Lab-Grown Diamonds Continue to Rise
One of the most significant trends in recent years has been the growing acceptance of lab-grown diamonds. As technology advances, these diamonds are becoming more affordable and available, making them an attractive option for many consumers.
What Makes Lab-Grown Diamonds Popular:
Ethical and Sustainable: Lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled environments, meaning they do not involve harmful mining practices. They offer a more ethical alternative to traditional diamonds.
Affordable: Lab-grown diamonds are typically less expensive than natural diamonds, offering a more budget-friendly way to get the same sparkle and beauty.
Identical to Natural Diamonds: With advances in technology, lab-grown diamonds are virtually identical to their mined counterparts in terms of appearance, quality, and durability.
Why This Trend? As more consumers become conscious of environmental issues and ethical sourcing, lab-grown diamonds are gaining popularity. They're a great choice for those who want high-quality, sustainable, and affordable diamonds.
4. Minimalism with a Modern Twist
While bold statement jewelry will continue to have its place, minimalism is becoming a dominant trend in 2025. Clean, simple designs are now being enhanced with a modern twist, focusing on versatility and elegance.
What’s Popular in Minimalist Jewelry:
Stackable Rings and Bracelets: Delicate, simple rings and bracelets that can be stacked together are all the rage. They allow wearers to create personalized, layered looks that are subtle yet stylish.
Dainty Necklaces and Earrings: Thin gold or silver chains, tiny studs, and minimalist hoops will be the go-to pieces for everyday wear. These pieces can easily transition from work to evening wear, making them highly versatile.
Geometric Shapes: Sleek and clean geometric shapes, like triangles, circles, and squares, are prominent in minimalist designs, adding a contemporary feel to classic jewelry pieces.
Why This Trend? Minimalist jewelry is perfect for those who want to make a statement without overpowering their look. These pieces are elegant, versatile, and easy to wear for any occasion, making them a timeless choice for 2025.
5. Personalization is Key
Consumers are increasingly seeking jewelry that tells a story and reflects their personal identity. Customization and personalized designs are set to be one of the top jewelry trends in 2025.
Personalized Jewelry Trends:

Birthstone Jewelry: Birthstone rings, necklaces, and bracelets are popular for creating personal and meaningful pieces. They can represent birth months, anniversaries, or special life events.
Initials and Custom Engraving: Jewelry with initials, names, or significant dates engraved will continue to rise in popularity. Custom-made pieces allow individuals to carry sentimental connections with them wherever they go.
Custom Designs: Many people are opting for one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect their own tastes, whether it’s a completely bespoke engagement ring or a custom charm bracelet.
Why This Trend? As consumers look for more meaningful purchases, personalized jewelry offers a way to connect with their values, memories, and personal experiences. These custom pieces are perfect for gifting or commemorating important moments in life.
6. Mixing Metals for Bold Looks
Gone are the days of sticking to one metal. In 2025, mixing metals will be a major trend. Jewelry that combines gold, silver, platinum, and other materials is becoming increasingly popular for its edgy, modern aesthetic.
Popular Metal Combinations:
Gold and Silver: The timeless appeal of gold combined with the cool, contemporary look of silver creates a perfect balance.
Rose Gold with Platinum: This combination brings warmth and luxury together, making it ideal for high-end pieces.
Colored Metals: More adventurous designers are experimenting with unusual metal finishes, like black rhodium-plated jewelry, which adds a sleek, dark look to rings, bracelets, and necklaces.
Why This Trend? Mixing metals allows for more creativity and flexibility in design. It also gives jewelry wearers the opportunity to create unique, personalized looks that stand out.
7. Smart Jewelry: The Future of Accessories
As technology continues to advance, smart jewelry is becoming a more significant part of the industry. These pieces combine fashion with function, making it easier for consumers to stay connected without sacrificing style.
Popular Smart Jewelry Innovations:
Fitness Rings and Bracelets: Jewelry that tracks activity, heart rate, and sleep patterns is gaining popularity. These pieces allow you to stay on top of your health while looking chic.
Contactless Payment Rings: Some jewelry brands are introducing rings that allow you to make payments with a simple tap, combining the convenience of technology with elegant design.
Smart Jewelry for Notifications: Rings, bracelets, and necklaces that alert the wearer to calls, messages, or other notifications will continue to grow in popularity.
Why This Trend? As more consumers seek convenience in their daily lives, smart jewelry offers a practical solution without compromising style. These pieces allow for a seamless integration of technology into everyday wear.
Conclusion: Jewelry Trends for 2025 Are All About Self-Expression
The jewelry trends for 2025 are all about embracing individuality, creativity, and sustainability. From colorful gemstones to personalized designs, there’s something for everyone. Whether you prefer minimalist pieces, vintage-inspired designs, or smart technology, the jewelry world is ready to cater to your unique style. As we look ahead, these trends will continue to evolve, making jewelry an exciting and ever-changing industry to follow.

10 Things About Jewelry Every Jewelry Connoisseur Should Know
For the discerning jewelry connoisseur, the world of jewelry is more than just a collection of pretty trinkets; it's a rich tapestry of history, craftsmanship, and hidden gems waiting to be discovered. So, whether you're a seasoned collector or a budding jewelry enthusiast, here are ten intriguing insights that every jewelry aficionado should know.
Diamonds Are Not Always Forever Contrary to popular belief, diamonds are not indestructible. While they may be the hardest substance on Earth, they can still chip, scratch, or even fracture if subjected to extreme pressure or impact. So, treat your diamonds with care and avoid wearing them while engaging in vigorous activities like rock climbing or boxing – unless, of course, you want to add some battle scars to your bling.
The Four Cs Rule Supreme When it comes to diamonds, the Four Cs – cut, color, clarity, and carat weight – reign supreme. These criteria determine the quality and value of a diamond, so it's essential to familiarize yourself with them before making a purchase. Remember, a diamond's brilliance and sparkle depend not only on its size but also on how well it's cut, so don't skimp on the cut quality. Moreover, the Four C's of a diamond can come in handy when you have to visit a pawnshop in Jacksonville, FL, or anywhere around the world, for that matter. Once you know the 4Cs and what value they add to your piece of jewelry, you can tell if the price offered by the pawnshop is appropriate.
Vintage is Vogue Vintage jewelry isn't just a blast from the past; it's a timeless expression of style and elegance. From Art Deco dazzlers to Victorian treasures, vintage pieces offer a unique blend of craftsmanship, history, and character that you won't find in contemporary designs. So, scour flea markets, antique shops, and estate sales for hidden gems that tell a story and make a statement. May it be a Cuban link chain from the 70s or tennis bracelets from 1978, always be on the lookout for vintage pieces or pieces lined with a bit of vintage.
It's All About the Setting The setting of a piece of jewelry can make or break its overall appeal. Whether it's a classic prong setting, a bezel setting, or a more avant-garde tension setting, the way a gemstone is mounted can significantly impact its beauty and durability. So, pay attention to the setting and choose one that complements the stone while providing adequate protection and security. Since we are discussing security, it is essential to get regular jewelry appraisals to keep the current value of jewelry pieces in check occasionally.
Gemstones Have Meanings Gemstones aren't just pretty rocks; they're imbued with meaning, symbolism, and mystical properties. From the fiery passion of rubies to the serene tranquility of sapphires, each gemstone carries its own unique energy and significance. So, whether you're drawn to the calming aura of aquamarine or the fiery intensity of garnet, choose gemstones that resonate with your personality and intentions.
Signature Styles Speak Volumes Every jewelry designer has a signature style that sets them apart from the rest. Whether it's Tiffany's timeless elegance, Cartier's understated luxury, or David Yurman's modern sophistication, a designer's signature style speaks volumes about their aesthetic sensibilities and creative vision. So, explore different designers and find one whose style resonates with your own. You can also handpick a custom design jeweler if you wish to experiment with styles that are far from what people around you are wearing. At Hemming Jewelers, you can find a variety of styles that are unique to our brand. Furthermore, a custom jewelry piece ensures that no two likes exist in the same world.
The Devil's in the Details When it comes to fine jewelry, the devil is indeed in the details. From the intricate filigree work of a vintage brooch to the delicate milgrain detailing of an Art Nouveau ring, it's often the smallest details that elevate a piece from ordinary to extraordinary. So, take the time to appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry that goes into creating each masterpiece.
Less Can Be More In the world of jewelry, less can often be more. Instead of piling on every piece you own, opt for a more minimalist approach and let one statement piece take center stage. Whether it's a bold cocktail ring, a sleek cuff bracelet, or a dazzling pair of chandelier earrings, sometimes all you need is one standout piece to make a lasting impression.
Personalization is Key Customizing your jewelry allows you to create a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your personality, style, and sentimentality. Whether it's engraving a special message, incorporating birthstones or initials, or designing a bespoke piece from scratch, personalized jewelry adds an extra layer of meaning and significance that can't be replicated.
Confidence is the Best Accessory At the end of the day, the most important thing to remember is that confidence is the best accessory you can wear. Whether you're donning a dazzling diamond necklace or a simple string of pearls, wear it with pride and poise, knowing that true beauty comes from within. After all, nothing sparkles brighter than a confident smile and a twinkle in the eye.
So, there you have it—10 sparkling insights to elevate your jewelry knowledge and appreciation to new heights. Whether you're a seasoned collector or a budding enthusiast, you can live your dreams at Hemmings Jewelers. From our excellent collection of hip-hop jewelry in Florida to our bridal assemblage, we have all the right pieces to make the jewelry enthusiast yearn for more.

"The Influence of Royalty on Vintage Jewelry Design and Trends"
Throughout history, royalty has played a significant role in shaping jewelry design and trends. The jewels worn by kings, queens, and aristocrats often set the tone for the fashions of their times, influencing not only courtly styles but also trickling down to the public. From the grand tiaras of European courts to the intricately designed brooches and necklaces favored by royal women, royalty’s love for opulent and meaningful pieces has left an enduring mark on vintage jewelry .
Victorian Era: Queen Victoria's Lasting Impact
One of the most influential figures in jewelry history is Queen Victoria of England, whose long reign (1837–1901) had a profound impact on the design and trends of the 19th century. Victoria’s love of jewelry reflected her personal life—joy, love, loss, and mourning were all captured through her collection.
Her romantic relationship with Prince Albert introduced an era of sentimental jewelry, including the rise of mourning jewelry after his untimely death in 1861. Black jet, enamel, and hairwork jewelry became popular symbols of grief. Earlier in her reign, the queen's engagement ring, which featured a serpent design (a symbol of eternal love), set the trend for sentimental pieces celebrating romance and devotion.
The Victorian era is divided into three periods: Romantic, Grand, and Aesthetic. Each phase reflected different aspects of the queen’s reign, but all were heavily influenced by her personal style, preferences, and the cultural trends she set.
Edwardian Elegance: Grace and Sophistication
With the arrival of King Edward VII in 1901, jewelry design took on a lighter, more graceful quality, now known as the Edwardian era. The king and his fashionable queen, Alexandra, were style icons in their own right, and their lavish lifestyle influenced a new era of jewelry characterized by delicate designs, intricate metalwork, and the use of platinum and diamonds vintage jewelry.
Edwardian jewelry is distinguished by its lace-like filigree, garlands, bows, and floral motifs, often set with sparkling diamonds and pearls. The refinement and femininity of this era’s pieces, combined with technological advances in metalworking, made these jewels light, airy, and incredibly ornate. The royal couple’s love of elegance and opulence was mirrored in the intricate designs of the time, with many pieces designed to complement the lavish ball gowns and tiaras worn at royal court.
Art Deco: The Duchess of Windsor and Bold Statements
Royalty also influenced the bold and geometric designs of the Art Deco period in the 1920s and 1930s. One of the most famous jewelry collectors of the 20th century was Wallis Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor, whose collection of Art Deco pieces remains legendary. Her style was unconventional, modern, and glamorous, reflecting the forward-thinking designs of the Art Deco era.
The Duchess favored bold, geometric jewelry, often featuring colorful gemstones like sapphires, emeralds, and rubies. Her pieces by Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels included iconic items like panther-shaped brooches, necklaces with large statement gems, and bracelets adorned with diamonds. She helped cement the trend of large, dramatic jewelry that became a hallmark of Art Deco, influencing not just aristocracy but also Hollywood stars and fashion elites.
Queen Elizabeth II: Timeless Classicism
Queen Elizabeth II, with her vast and exquisite collection of jewels, has long been a trendsetter in her own right. Her coronation crown, sparkling with nearly 3,000 diamonds, including the famous Cullinan II, is just one of many examples of the grandeur that defines royal jewels.
One of her most iconic pieces, the Diamond Diadem, is worn for state occasions and is instantly recognizable due to its simple yet stunning design, symbolizing timeless elegance. Many of her jewels carry historical and sentimental significance, having been passed down through generations of royalty.
Elizabeth's influence on jewelry is characterized by timeless classicism. Pearls, diamonds, and refined designs dominate her style, reflecting her preference for pieces that embody tradition and continuity. Her influence has kept certain styles—like pearl necklaces, brooches, and tiaras—perennially in fashion.
Modern Royals: A New Wave of Influence
The influence of royalty on jewelry design continues in the modern era with figures like Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle. Diana’s famous sapphire and diamond engagement ring, now worn by Kate Middleton, has led to a resurgence in the popularity of colored gemstones in engagement rings.
Both Kate and Meghan have brought a fresh perspective to royal jewelry, blending traditional styles with modern minimalism. Kate often favors vintage pieces, like Diana’s sapphire ring, while Meghan’s simpler and more contemporary jewelry choices reflect a shift toward understated elegance, showing how royal influence adapts with the times.
