I wasn’t kidding when I said I was gonna reblog this, XD. Also, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT ADORABLE MLP COMIC!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH, THE IDEA OF POPPY AND TWYLA BEING LIKE FLUTTERSHY ADMIRING INSECTS AND ARACHNIDS WHILE EVERYONE ELSE IS SCARED SHITLESS IS THE CUTEST AND FUNNIEST THING EVER!!!!!!

Twyla better be ready to stand for hours? Poppy is that excited? We should probably grab some chairs just in case lol. Twyla may be flexible and can endure long hours of standing, but her poor legs are tired from running. On the other hand, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get some movement XD

Yeah, I knew you guys ahem, Poppy would go bonkers seeing the pics. If there’s a RED tarantula, I think she’s gonna lose her shit. Hearing her describe the Blue Cobalt looking like a walking sapphire and calling the Emerald Skeleton’s pedipalps adorable is making my dark, twisted heart gush. She is just too damn precious for this world, omg. Also, OH MY GOD! I CANNOT believe I didn’t think the Purple Pinktoe would remind Poppy of Shiny! The lady wears purple, for God’s sakes!!!! Think, Nightmare, think!

Speaking of Shiny, I have to give you a word of caution. If she’s gonna join you on Chapter 1, you might wanna get some strong twine. I know that’s very alarming, but trust me, I had to give the same advice to @slashingdisneypasta regarding Kingston. He’s a Vegas Mob Boss and she’s got honey badger crackhead determination as you've so eloquently put it. You guys are gonna be absolutely, seriously royally pissed the fuck off.

OK, with the warnings out of the way, Twyla’s gonna take over here 😊

She didn’t know what startled her the most. The squeal of sheer delight or the starstruck shine in the doe’s soft, brown eyes. Hell, they sparkled like stars. But before she could regain her composure, the older female Toon comically hopped over and placed her paws on the screens between the three photographed arachnids like a child touching a television screen for the first time. “There are purple and pink tarantulas!? I had no idea! She looks just like Shiny! Such a beautiful predator! You said she’s a Purple Pinktoe, right? Oh, but the Blue Cobalt!! He’s like a walking sapphire!! Look at all those gorgeous shades! And the Emerald Skeleton Tarantula!? Look at those eyes! Those pedipalps!! So adorable! He looks like he got a splash of paint on his abdomen. So artistic! And-”

Twyla could only stand and stare. Speechless would be an understatement. No words could describe the confusion she was feeling right now, and she tried to work her voice to no avail. Poppy…liked the pictures? She squealed out of excitement for spiders? Something that Twyla mentioned earlier? This sweet, lovely lady was happy because she also likes spiders? One of Twyla’s favorite creatures?

She’s…happy?

No one else cared about what Twyla liked besides her brother and pack. All the times she tried to talk to the other kids about Halloween, they’d tell her to go away. The school Halloween party had no room for freaks like her even if she didn’t wear a costume. She couldn’t even complete a presentation about spiders for School Project Day without some snot-nosed brat tossing crumpled paper-balls at her, calling her “Bug Eyes”. There weren’t even that many horror Toon kids back in Chicago, so she only had her brother for companionship –

The taller ravenette shook her head. No, the past is in the past. That part of her life is over. Like Tom said. She reminded herself, banishing the dark well of voices before they could lunge their ugly claws at her mind. It was a good thing Poppy’s back was turned, so she wouldn’t see the vulnerability in her posture or the bitter pain stinging her amethyst eyes. Twyla set her face back into place and watched her smaller counterpart continuously gushing over the arachnids. Seeing those long ears flicker and that cute, fuzzy cottontail wagging was like seeing her inner child happy and –

NO!  

Stop it! Her head shook again, more violently this time. Remembering will only bring pain. And pain is not on the table for this special moment. Fuck, she needed a smoke after this. She closed her eyes, breathing in deep before exhaling the tension.

A loud gasp shattered the horror halfie’s train of thoughts.

“Twyla!” the younger female in question faced Poppy who was pointing at another large photograph. “There’s a Giant Asian Centipede! And she’s having babies!”

“Baby Giant Asian Centipedes?!” The memories flashed like the blink of an eye, all the inner turmoil squashed like squished squash. Twyla’s ears perked up and her massive, inky-black tail wagged like a puppy’s. “Where?!”

Twyla: So Poppy's looking for some tarantulas, huh? OK, well...there are plenty in the world to choose, but here are the Top Three I believe she will find quite extraordinary! 😉

The rabbit toons' eyes were blown wide. And with her dark brown eyes, it almost looked like a night sky with how starstruck she had become. Her expression remained still and in awe for a few seconds before a big grin pulled at her lips and an excited squeal left her lips. She had tried to cover her mouth with her paw before the sound left her, but it was too late. Even if she had caught herself in time, her ears flickering happily would have been a dead giveaway, "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! They're so beautiful!!"

And just like that, the floodgates had been burst open, as she embraced her toony self; her words pouring from her mouth at the speed of light as she comically dashed to and fro between the three pictures, "There are purple and pibk tarantulas!? Yeah, Twyla better be ready to stand there for hours. This is the most excited Poppy has been since Phantom of the Opera was adapted into a stage play! XD
