#Tsunade: Did you fuck my grandfather Madara Uchiha?

The way hashi and iruka look so similar tho I wanna know what that’s abt 👀 like iruka is just hashirama with longer hair and a scar sksksk there’s a post out there that talks abt how Madara would have reacted to seeing iruka, and it’s along the lines of “I didn’t know hashirama had a great grandchild” it kills me every time there’s so much potential for this theory 😭
Omg I'm so sorry this took me so long to answer!! But now that I am-
Listen listen this is a theory I love and now have galaxy brain thoughts I'm going to inflict on the world
The mokuton is a combination of earth and water, right? Iruka knows water release, and it's probably his primary one because his name is dolphin of the sea and everything has to be on the nose (pun not intended but fully embraced). I don't know if there's confirmation of this, but I feel like proclivities toward certain natures would be hereditary. Like, if a nature combination kekkei genkai is passed down through a family, people would have to have the same natures. There's no wood without water and earth, no scorch without wind and fire, etc etc. Plus, Tobirama clearly has a proclivity or at least preference for water perhaps to set him against the fire-leaning Uchiha but that's another big brain take and Tsunade knows it. I'm ignoring the Senju proclivity for yang release because I want to
What really gets me though is how much the Will of Fire means to Iruka. Obviously, being orphaned and finding a sense of family through it makes the Will of Fire more personal for him, but from a narrative standpoint, how good is it that one of Hashirama's descendants became a teacher of children whose passion is passing on Hashirama's Will of Fire? And who was the first person to look after Naruto! Yeah, I'm mad that Shippuden said Iruka is always in Naruto's thoughts, then pretended he didn't exist, but that's a genuine, thoughtful take I'm going to post someday
Considering how few of the characters in Naruto have dark skin, especially outside Kumo, I'm very willing to get down with Iruka inheriting Hashirama's looks. Iruka can't grow his hair out because he works with kids who want to be ninjas, which would be hazardous with long hair, but if he DID...
As for his surname- where are all the Senjus? There's no sign that anything happened to Hashirama's family, so why aren't there any in Konoha? Why isn't Tsunade, who openly acknowledges that Hashirama is her grandfather, and other people know it, ever referred to as a Senju or Uzumaki?
Enter my theory: being a Senju puts a target on your back, as does being an Uzumaki, so one of Iruka's ancestors (perhaps around the time they stopped being powerhouses) took their less prominent spouse's name- or, perhaps, changed their name entirely
What I also love is that Madara pouted so hard because Tsunade couldn't fuck him up like Hashirama could, and I think it would be a lot of fun for Madara to try to make sense of a guy who's almost Hashirama's twin but with 1/1000 the chakra. Just a normal human who's full of love
TL;DR Iruka is for sure Hashirama's descendant. You can't change my mind
