An ongoing Daniel Ricciardo video collection ❤️🍯🦡☀️
adding links to vimeo and youtube finds (under the cut, so it'll update reblogs as I add more links over time!)
hello!! This is definitely not a comprehensive list, mostly filing under things that are just new to me as a more recent fan! it's cool when I stumble upon a vid I haven't seen or one I recognize from a gif set! so I'm adding them in a list of links here in case anyone else is curious ❤️ some are like 30 second commercial spots & others are longer interviews, most so far from 2014-2020 🎥🎤✨
okay allons-y!!
Sourced from Vimeo
not chronologically organized (yet!) so I've just added the upload date atm for a date approximation; have yet to look into all the uploading accounts, too, so there is definitely way more out there to see!
📍Update 01-01-2025:
Btw if you click a link in the tumblr app and it shows a tumblr page saying "There's nothing here" sadly many of the vimeo links are not redirecting correctly atm 😭
the videos are still up and available (thankfully!! and they can be found by searching the titles on vimeo [which are listed for each vid before the upload date part below]) but!! I will be making like a Google doc with all the links, since tumblr insists on adding this redirect bologna and I'm not tech savvy enough to know why its not working hehe 🙃 I'll be back this weekend with a fix and the new link list!
lastly here's the link for DR's brand vimeo which also has the overall site search option at the top for easy access 🔍 not linked but copy-and-pastable into Google or Safari etc: https://vimeo.com/user50821531
thanks y'all!! ❤️
update 01-05-2025 I'm sorry y'all!! I have been fighting a fever all weekend 😭 so I have yet to compile everything, but the Google doc with all the working links will be here asap!! ❤️
definitely starting with the dozens of videos on DR's official brand Vimeo (which has the delightful Sunday Night Flights series of casual post-race recaps) link

Listed fandom fun
A bit of random data before we jump into the rankings for listed fandoms …
Since the numbers post yesterday we've had signups for nearly 60 new auctions, bringing the current total to 779. That beats the number of signups for 2016/7, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, and puts us withing spitting distance of our record last year of 819. Can we do it? Will we do it? Signal boost FTH posts and encourage others to participate. More money raised for good causes, more fanworks in the world — it's a win/win!
We posted yesterday about the state of our unlisted write-in fandoms (we've had nine new ones since then!). Time to check in with the rankings for the listed fandoms.
At the top of the pack we have:
87 K-Pop * 66 Good Omens 50 Sherlock Holmes * 44 Harry Potter * 37 Marvel * 32 DC * 31 Mo Dao Zu Shi / The Untamed 27 Red, White, & Royal Blue 25 Star Wars * 23 Scum Villain's Self-Saving System
Our first tie is for 11th place -
22 Avatar The Last Airbender 22 Teen Wolf
And after that, nearly every other place is a tie. And which ones are ties for which places can be shifted slightly with just one signup. Or completely upended with two. Where will your fandom land?
Remember that if your fandom isn't here (or in the rest of the list below the cut), you can write it in. Signups are OPEN through Monday!

Met Gala 2023: My Top 10 Women’s Looks
Here we go, this is my 10 women’s looks from the Met Gala 2023. Just to remind everyone that my opinions are mine alone, so feel free to agree or disagree with me as much as you like. However I will not tolerate any hate personally aimed at me if you disagree with me to the point where you want to start an argument. So let’s keep it respectful, clean (language wise) and more importantly let’s have some fun with this. Like I said, if you’re looking for an argument, then you’re following the wrong fashion blog.
1. Kim Kardashian wearing Schiaparelli. This was the first look I saw this morning when I switched my phone on and I was blown away by it. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from Kim after her look from last year that got a lot of people talking. So I was pleasantly surprised to see her in an original design that shows off her body in all the right places and I love the draped pearls across her breasts (which are actually covered by a nude bra). Overall it was another Met Gala and another show stopping moment from Kim Kardashian.
2. Doja Cat wearing Oscar De La Renta In comparison to Jared Leto, Doja Cat understood the theme and took it to a whole other level that was both unexpected but not at the same time. I loved the use of prosthetics that complimented her simple yet stunning crystallised gown. Plus who doesn’t love a gown with a hood that has cat ears coming out the top that makes you look like a fashionista rather than someone attending a Halloween party?
3. Gigi Hadid wearing Givenchy I’m a sucker for a black gown that comes not just with a corset but a lot of tulle draped perfectly in all the right places as well. Gigi just looked stunning in this and considering a lot of attendee’s were also wearing either black or white, her Givenchy gown stood out when I was scrolling endlessly through all the looks earlier today. Simple, yet perfect sums up her look that I couldn't not add to my top 10 favourites. 4. Cardi B wearing Chenpeng Studio I just loved the edgy yet alternative bridal look that also incorporated a masculine energy through the shirt and tie design blended with a corset that still made the overall gown look and feel feminine as well as beautiful. I’m not a fan of Cardi B as a rapper but like Kim Kardashian her Met Gala looks have never disappointed and I think this look was one of her best yet.
5. Devon Aoki wearing Jeremy Scott Even though it’s yet another black & white gown, I just love the cartoon styled wings on the bust line of the corset. To me it made this gown stand out in the sea on monochrome that plagued the Met Gala 2023. Without that unique design, this gown would’ve gone unnoticed and it would’ve easily become another gown that was worn to the wrong event.
6. Florence Pugh in Valentino Florence has been killing it with her red carpet looks in the last 18 months or so, so it was no surprise that she would turn heads at the Met Gala. Whilst I'm not a fan of Valentino since Pierpaolo Piccioli took over as creative designer when Maria Grazi Chiuri left for Dior back in 2016, I can’t help but love this look. A simple white gown paired with a huge feather crown just looked stunning on Florence and it’s another reason why we love seeing show stopping numbers like this one.
7. Glenn Close wearing Erdem Moralıoğlu Similar to Florence Pugh’s look, Glenn Close just looked phenomenal in her Erdem Moralıoğlu design. Once again it was simple yet stunning and I loved the colour on her. It suited her to a tee and what better way to pair a simple gown that with a huge pale blue cape and the sparkliest jewellery of the night. It just goes to show that anyone of any age and can look amazing when dressed perfectly for the Met Gala.
8. Liu Wen wearing Tory Burch I just love how simple the gown is yet at the bottom it’s filled with white flowers that make the Tory Burch gown stand out amongst hundreds of Met Gala looks. The whole look screams red carpet but it’s also the ideal gown for a bride who doesn’t want to wear white to her wedding. Liu Wen just looked stunning in it and it’s why her look has made it into my top 10.
9. Salma Hayek wearing Gucci I just love that it wasn’t black or white and the sharpness of the red looked phenomenal on Salma both in the PVC corset and the long tiered skirt. Plus the subtle draping of the pearls as straps just topped the look off altogether. Once again I loved everything about it and I can’t fault it at all. It was perfect. 10. Tems wearing Robert Wun This gown was a standout for all the right reasons. Tems looked absolutely gorgeous from head to toe and I love how all the feathers are perfectly placed on both the gown, the gloves and the headpiece from stepping over that line from haute couture into a costume. The shape of the gown also compliments her body to her a tee and I couldn’t think of anything better that Tem’s could’ve worn to the Met Gala. So this concludes my top 10 looks from the Met Gala 2023. I have to say picking this list was hard because there were so many another amazing designs worn last night, however these 10 stand out to me the most. Feel free to leave your opinion in the comments about which was your standout garment from last night, perhaps it’s on my list and perhaps it’s not.
I look forward to hearing what you all have to say about this year’s fashion.

Pitchfork Annual Tippmix 2024
A lista:
Cindy Lee: Diamond Jubilee
Charlie xcx: Brat
MJ Lendermann: Manning Fireworks
Jessica Pratt: Here In The Pitch
Waxahatchee: Tigers Blood
Vampire Weekend: Only God Was About Us
Still House Plants: If I don’t make it, I Love You
The Smile: Wall Of Eyes
Magdalena Bay: Imaginal Disk
Mount Eerie: Night Palace
A Pet Shop Boys-ot megvettem vinylen is. Meg a Beth Gibbonst is. Meg Kim Gordont is. A Cassandra Jenkinst meg tervezem.
Tippeljen más is, ha van kedve!
Az előzmények:
a 2023-as tipp és a végeredmény (6/10)
a 2022-es tipp és a végeredmény (6/10)
a 2021-es tipp és a végeredmény (6/10)
a 2020-as tipp és a végeredmény (8/10)
a 2019-es tipp és a végeredmény (8/10)

I've had a vague urge to get more into Shakespeare for years; what are the top 3-5 plays you'd recommend that AREN'T Hamlet or Much Ado? And what version of each is your favorite?
(sorry for omitting two god tier ones but I've already seen David Tennant in each of those and I surmise that you're insane about both so I'm looking for some new plays)
gonna be some basic bitch answers but here:
macbeth - the tragedy of macbeth (2021) movie adaptation starring denzel washington. this movie is fucking stunning and the way they did the witches was SO good. also i have the throne of blood (kurosawa's adaptation) also on my watchlist since i've heard REALLY good things about it
richard ii - 2013 rsc production w/ david tennant (link). he gives me catastrophic gender envy, i need to become more masculine to become more feminine etc. ben whishaw in the hollow crown series (link) is great too
romeo and juliet - romeo + juliet (1996) movie adaptation directed by baz luhrmann. this is like, the most well known romeo and juliet and you might've watched it already but i'm listing this anyway because there will never be a better mercutio and the way they did the setting is SO fucking funny and inspired
twelfth night - so far only saw this one Outside On The Grass Where They Performed This At My College but i liked it a lot... reccing the 2012 globe production with mark rylance (part 1 / part 2) (his hamlet was one of dt's favorites as an aspiring actor) (i'm putting my faith in letterboxd and david's taste for this one)
coriolanus - 2014 donmar production w/ tom hiddleston (on archive.org). this is directed by josie rourke, who also directed dt/ct's 2011 much ado! the staging and the effects are fucking awesomeeee (also peter de jersey and elliot levey are in this, i love them)
also shoutout to the ones i want to watch:
the 2016 production of a midsummer night's dream w/ ncuti gatwa (i have found nowhere to pirate it and i might just crack and pay the 10 dollars to watch it)
the 2015 production of the love's labour's lost w/ edward bennett (he played laertes in hamlet (2009) and he's REALLY underrated, i love his benedick SO FUCKING MUCH even if that production overall was a little dull)
either hollow crown's or greg doran's henry iv (it's two whole plays i need so much time to watch that. and ideally i want to watch both lol)
kurosawa's ran (1985), an adaptation of king lear set in 1500s japan
vishal bhardwaj's omkara (2006), an adaptation of othello set in india
#most of these are basic bitch answers because instead of watching a wide variety of shakespeare like a normal person#i have instead dedicated my time to watching 17 hamlet adaptations. and i'm not even done i've got like 5 more on the watchlist#someone take that play away from me#also i linked everything but tragedy of macbeth and r+j; those are fairly non obscure movies and you should b able to find them on ur#movie pirating website of choice#in terms of subtitles i think twelfth night on ok.ru has embedded subtitles but if it doesnt you can download it#and grab subtitles off of opensubtitles.org. and i use happyscribe.org in case the subtitle timing is off#edit: peer reviewed by the comments . these aren't necessarily basic answers idk what was wrong with me ghlsfkjghlDKJHAFLJGK#oh also!!! this list isn't necessarily in order it's just a list to pick from#i think it's a good idea to look up the play to see if the premise interests you before jumping in#out of these i think coriolanus is the most accessible and easy to understand bc josie rourke is just great at that

Eurovision 2024: #13
13. LATVIA Dons - "Hollow" 16th place
youtube
Decade Ranking: 43/153 [above Duje, below Tick-Tock]
ALL HAIL KING EGG 👑🥚
Stanning Dons like was not a development I expected, but here I am. He's precious, he's flawless, he's a walking green flag and should be protected at all costs.
How can you not like him now? Dons is THE biggest shock qualifier of all time. "But Boris, what about-" nope, I won't hear your flimsy suggestions - Robertoad, Sergej Cetkovic, Raiven, Valentina, Eugent- None of them were as jaw-dropping to me as Dons was. I immediately got up and grabbed a (non-alcoholic) drink when it happened. I needed one. My brain could not process it without hydration. Bro qualified from LAST PLACE IN THE ODDS, representing Latvia, the ONLY country in all of Eurovision that failed to reach the top 10 in a semi televote every year since 2016. WITH ONLY ESTONIA AS ALLIES.
Like, yeah hindsight makes it clear why made it in, but come on now. If you thought Latvia were making it before the Thursday show, I would dismiss you as a naive wishful thinker. Regardless, it was very earned. "Hollow" was a diet Hozier song, and that's basically the equivalent to gold dust in Eurovision. It was a SONG, and a good one at that. We collectively assumed Belgium would snag his votes away. Pity most failed to consider that Belgium did not have a song.
However, the painpoint always seemed to be Dons's perceived lack of charm and appeal, and that was not a small concern. Despite being a very capable vocalist, Dons lost to Aarzemnieki in 2014 and to AISHA in 2010. He always has the air of a funerary director to him, and his current bald look (which vibed as part Who / part Syltherin) didn't help matters, nor did a plethora of REALLY DEPRESSING LINES ABOUT DEATH and DYING EARLY.
His looks said ET phone Hozier his facts said ET go home.
And even as "Hollow" played during the semi I still thought he was 100% out, as Dons performed it with the lifeless of one reluctantly going through the motions. You might as well be a nondescript businessman with a briefcase commuting to their underpaid 9-to-5 job. This man's a sitting duck and he knows it, and no amount of BesaBreastplates™ is going to protect him.
But then, excelsior! Dons miraculously made it (by being announced FIRST) on the strength of voice and song and biceps and right in that moment, something changed.
Immediately after qualifying Dons transformed from someone with the same joie de vivre as a palliative care patient into an absolute demigod and icon?
IT STARTED at the press conf when he said "Latvia has the shape of a butterfly, and butterflies symbolize freedom and all countries deserve to be free 🦋🍉" and was the ONLY person from that press conf to shade Israel without any repercussions or harrassment later. (SOCIAL GAME KING ♥)
But then he followed it up with that live performance in the finale and... OMG.😍
That live is why we're this high on the list.
That live... was ALIVE.
For the first time in his life, homeboy SERVED ON A STAGE.
Like yeah sure, Dons being unable to contain his rapture absolutely did NOT fit the song at all, but who the fuck cares. Qualifying rejuvenated him by at least ten years on the inside. Once you realize the emotions stem from the pure joy of finally having made the final, after months of dismissal and mockery, and weeks of being told that he's outclassed by Mustii of all people (imagine that.). it's only human that he cannot contain himself anymore. One HAS to let go, serve, spill, and so he did and it was glory.
"I move with my face and... emotion comes out? and I'm LIKEABLE?!"
I won't pretend this was some AMAZING revelation, but like... who cares? It's rare you witness someone discover the gift Emotions live on stage, which is beyond any price. The positive transformation Dons underwent in a mere two days as the contest collapsed around him is one of the most beautiful and wholesome takeaways from this dark, depressing edition.
Also, finally, Eurovision is not in a good spot right now, and Hollow's lyrics are perfect allegorical representation to the situation going on. The EBU's decision to sell themselves out as something so hollow is killing the contest slowly, and currently show no sign of improvement. (They're professional bureaucrats scared to give up their well-paid jobs. figures.) Which almost makes me bump Hollow up a bit higher given how much resonance the message has with me right now. But at the end of the day, one must remain hopeful. Dons’s journey was a comeback, a triumph from a horrible situation like you rarely see at a competition such as this. It was a sign that the song matters, and that one should never give up. If Latvia can experience such a miraculous turnaround in the face of adversity, I think we must harbour a hope that Eurovision can as well.

i saw a video on tik tik talking about f2 and how driver academies are making the championship null and void. which, sure this year you may think that because of Ollie and Kimi promoted, despite not overly excelling in the championship this year, and with Franco being Logan's replacement, but I have done the research, and am here to call this bollocks. this is gonna be a long one folks :)
we start in the good old year of 2016, when the series was still gp2, where we have 2015 champion Stoffel Vandoorne completing one race with mclaren before being promoted for a full season for 2017. Alongside him is 2014 champion Jolyon Palmer who completed a season with renault. Pascal Wehrlein, 2015 DTM champion, and Esteban Ocon, gp3 champion, were promoted to mrt, Esteban only racing after the summer break.
in 2017, Pierre Gasly, 2016 gp2 champion gets to finish the season with Toro Rosso, and 2nd in the championship, Antonio Giovinazzi raced twice for sauber. Lance Stroll, 5th in the f3 european series, was promoted to Williams, and Brendon Hartley, who won formula renault in 2015, also finished the season with toro rosso.
in 2018, 2017 f2 champion Charles Leclerc is promoted to sauber.
in 2019, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the 2018 f2 championship are all promoted to f1, George Russell to williams, Lando Norris to mclaren, and Alex Albon to toro rosso, and then red bull.
in 2020, 2nd place in the 2019 f2 championship, Nicholas Latifi is promoted to williams, while 1st place Nyck De Vries is promoted to formula e.
in 2021, 2020 f2 champion Mick Schumacher is promoted to haas, alongside 3rd place Yuki Tsunoda who is promoted to alpha tauri, and 5th place Nikita Mazepin who is also promoted to haas. 2nd place Callum Ilott was in talks with sauber but was never promoted, and instead raced in wec and indycar.
in 2022, 3rd place in the 2021 f2 championship Zhou Guanyu was promoted to sauber. 1st place Oscar Piastri was the reserve driver for Alpine, and 2nd place Robert Shwartzman has since done test work for ferrari and recently one his first race in wec.
in 2023, 2021 f2 champion Oscar Piastri was promoted to mclaren, alongside 2019 f2 champion Nyck De Vries being promoted to alpha tauri. 4th place in the 2022 f2 championship Logan Sargeant was promoted to williams, and 3rd place Liam Lawson was promoted to alpha tauri after Nyck was fired, and Daniel broke his wrist. 2022 f2 champion Felipe Drugovich became a reserve driver for aston martin, and 2nd place Théo Pourchaire continued in f2 for a second season.
in 2024 nobody was promoted to f1 at the beginning of the season, but current 7th place in the 2024 f2 championship Franco Colapinto was promoted to williams after they fired Logan. 2023 f2 champion Théo Pourchaire competed in the superformula championship, and got to do a couple of races for mclaren in indycar. 2nd place Frederick Vesti has been a test and reserve driver for mercedes.
basically every driver who has finished in the top two in f2 since 2015 was associated with a driver academy. the only two who weren't were Alex Rossi, did five races with marussia in 2015, and has since had a successful indycar career, and Artem Markelov, who as far as I can work out, no longer races.
for the most part, 1st and 2nd in f2 were promoted either the year after, or after having a year out. i think the bigger problem is the talent we have in formula one, and the lack of talent we have not moving on from the series. with only 10 teams, and 20 drivers, there is a limit, especially when we don't have many moving on.
there is also a problem with drivers being hired/kept on because they bring something. i.e. Checo bringing money as a Mexican driver, and Mazepin's dad sponsoring the team. then you have Zhou being hired in wake of the Chinese grand prix coming back, Logan being an American driver, with the americanisation of f1. and then there's Lance who's dad brought him a team.
and that's not me saying that they didn't achieve their seat on any merit, it's just an advantage that other drivers with similar results don't have.
i think Théo Pourchaire should have a chance in f1, and i say this as someone who was really rooting for Fred Vesti last year. If sauber don't keep Valtteri on for next year, I really hope they give Pourchaire a chance.
i am irritated at mercedes for promoting Kimi this early. it's nothing against Kimi, but if they really thought that Fred Vesti was good enough to keep him in their academy, and use him for testing and sim work this year, and to do free practices last year, why would they not give him a chance. he's proven himself to be a good driver, and it would have given Kimi a little more time to race in faster cars. In similar vein, livid at Toto for criticising James Vowles for not giving Mick a chance when he had the opportunity to do the same and failed to do so.
Felipe Drugovich is an interesting one for me. sure signing with aston martin is a choice, and with the current driver pairing, unlikely to get him anywhere. but he has chosen to stay and wait, even though other series have given him offers. for me, he'll either swoop in when Fernando retires again because the car is shit, or he'll wait too long and lose any opportunity to race anything.
Robert Shwartzman is an interesting one. He's been unlucky in the fact that at a point they would have been discussing him, Russia invaded Ukraine, and as he is Russian/Israeli, it probably didn't help his career. Still he remains ferrari's test/sim driver, and although it's unlikely that will get him a seat, it keeps him around. and with wec as well, and getting his first win, he is at least racing.
Callum Ilott was unlucky. he should have had the sauber seat in 21/22, but with the signing of Zhou, he missed out. I don't think he'll race in f1, but he's done well for himself regardless. with his stint in indycar, still pisses at how that ended, and in wec as well.
Nyck De Vries was smart. after not getting an f1 seat, he went to fe, won a championship, and as he raced with mercedes, it opened up chances in f1 for him. the biggest mistake he made, was signing with red bull. i can't imagine he couldn't have found enough fe drivers that were screwed over by red bull in one way or another. they really made a shit car, let him help with its development, and then fired him to let their second favourite child race.
i fear my point may have got lost somewhere, but almost every top two in f2 had a previous association with an f1 team or gained one after winning. at which point it is on the teams to promote the drivers they've deemed good enough to support through their junior career.
sure Kimi and Ollie may not be having the best year in f2, thanks prema for making a dogshit car, but they have a history, previous results that make them so sought after. Kimi's junior record is full of wins, and Ollie's performances in his rookie years in f3 and f2 have been more than enough to get people talking.
as for the currently leader. Isack Hadjar is a red bull junior, if he doesn't get a seat next year it's because red bull are too desperate to keep on their mid drivers instead of letting new talent have a chance. Liam Lawson should have had a seat this year, and if he doesn't next year, it's utterly crazy. same for Isack, he should be in that seat in the next two years, once red bull finally let go of Checo, and maybe even Daniel, but it's unlikely.
the academies are not ruining f2, f2 is just shit currently. what the academies do do is sponsor a large number of drivers, making it much easier for them to further their career.
i do believe something needs to be done to stop this collection of talent being funnelled to the top with nowhere for them to go, but i am too tired to sort that problem tonight.
thank you for listening to my rant!
#f1#f2#that video really annoyed me#i did the research for this baby#and i can tell that the person who made that video did not#and theres nothing i like more than spending too much time researching something after someones stupidity annoys me#weve had two years of the champion not getting an f1 seat#and this year isack hadjar a red bull junior may not get a seat#the lack of promotion for talented drivers into the teams is the real criminal#thats what we should be hating on#anyway goodnight guys#i spent an hour and a half writing this#:)

2023 top five!
@preseriesdean thought it would be fun for artists/authors/creators to post their favorite five creations this year, and i agree! it can be anything: your favorite posts, fics, art, edits, fanvids, anything!
i saw some folks turning this into a tag game, so here are some tags! @deanwinchesterpregnant @dyed-red @mercette @crucifysam @weirdbrothers @togethertogethersoulmates @pookeenpie
if you end up doing it, pls tag me! i'd love to see y'all's works! :)
-lizzy
so in no particular order, here are the five fics i liked the best/am the most proud of!
considering that everything i’ve written on this account (240k words of it good lord) was published since february 23rd, i’ve got a lot to work with!
i was in the fandom back in 2012-2013 until 2016-2017, and when i rewatched it recently with some friends, i realized just how many words and feelings had been broiling since. i wrote a LOT for spn back in the day (not published, just for the pure joie de vivre), but everything on the ao3 is completely new since feb!
1. tell me, why are you still so afraid?
or, the "what do you want, sam?" fic. this one might be a surprise! it did moderately well, but i'm really happy with it! i love writing weechesters/pre-series, and i hope this fic did them justice! it hit a lot of points i liked, and i had so much fun writing it!! i'm proud of it! :)
2. you're pretty when you don't speak
or, sam's wife pov. i was shocked!!! aghast!!! frankly agog!!! at how much folks loved this one! i had the idea in the shower of all places, lmao, just the idea that wait, being sam's wife must be so lonely. it was not the usual fare (and written in second-person pov), so i was expecting it to gently and quietly flop. but no! i wrote this fic in two sittings at one a.m. the night before a paleopathology exam, so i'm shocked any of it was coherent in the morning. thank you, dear reader, if you interacted w it at all! :)
3. romans 3:10-11
ahh, romans. to other folks that write, this was one of those fics that scratched in my bones until i sat down and wrote it all out. does that sound pretentious? it was stifling; it was all i could think about. even now, i look back on it and feel like there are things that are missing, extended scenes and extra themes that i wished i had teased out. the response was overwhelming and positive and i'm so glad you lot liked it! if you ever want more...idk...lemme know...
4. we didn't get it right, but love we did our best
or, the Heaven fic! this one took awhile to make, and a lot out of me to do! it's the longest fic i've made this year, by a lot! the planning process was a lot of fun (even though charlotte was mostly asleep), and i even colour-coded themes and turning points i wanted to include. the sense of accomplishment when it was done was a great part of this year!
5. there's no such thing as a clean break, when your heart starts bleeding out
or, the stanford!era fic where dean bleeds out on the highway and decides to not tell sam about it. one of my favorite things to write is a character getting more and more out of it as they lose control (or blood), and this one was a fun challenge! i love stanford!era dean, because he's so mangled and angry and sad. i feel like that one tweet that william shatner posted where he said ELECTROCUTE HIM!!! this also feels the most like the things i wrote back in 2014, so it brings nostalgia :,)
this was WAY harder than i thought! i loved and was so proud of so much of my work this year! a top ten would be easier, but i'm happy with this list!
thank YOU for reading! :)
we are holding hands now and there's nothing you can do to stop it. y'all keep this up and we might even have to stare lovingly into each other's eyes.

Brazilian gems: Florianópolis and Rio de Janeiro among 2025’s top global travel destinations
Florianópolis and Rio de Janeiro have earned spots on the top 10 most sought-after global travel destinations for the summer of 2025. Released last week by the travel platform Booking.com, the ranking highlights these two Brazilian cities as the only representatives from Latin America.
Ranked fourth, Florianópolis, the capital of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil, combines urban charm with natural splendor. Home to nearly 600,000 residents, the city boasts a robust infrastructure, a diverse range of accommodations, efficient public transportation, and lush natural landscapes. Its 42 beaches cater to every type of traveler: from tranquil shores like Praia do Forte, Daniela, and Pântano do Sul, perfect for leisurely swims, to surf-friendly spots such as Joaquina, Santinho, Mole, and Brava.
Another must-visit attraction is Lagoa da Conceição, offering an array of dining options and a short 15-minute hike to a viewpoint that rewards visitors with breathtaking vistas of the region.
Seventh on the list is Rio de Janeiro, perhaps Brazil’s most iconic destination and a name synonymous with natural beauty and cultural richness. While its fame needs no introduction, the city continues to captivate tourists with its blend of cosmopolitan energy and laid-back charm. The 2016 Olympic Games left a transformative legacy, introducing new attractions that complement classics like Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, the lively Lapa nightlife, and the majestic Christ the Redeemer statue.
