Kind of a late addition considering this post has taken off, but yeah it does feel as though it's thinly-veiled bigotry whenever people call something "neurodivergent" or "trans" in a bad way. "Oh I don't mean it in a rude way" your tone and the way you frame it is antagonistic and condescending. You associate "autistic and gay people music" with low quality and inferior music that only those communities can enjoy. You might as well substitute neurodivergent or gay for a slur and the tone comes across the same.

Worse is when they're like: "Oh can't people have opinions" yes?? You can have opinions? Nobody said you couldn't not like that music. People just said that you shouldn't call people cringe because they listen to a music artist you've only heard 15 seconds of because it went viral

I hate how people will look at popular indie artists who had one or two songs go viral on TikTok and start making fun of anybody who listens to them. "Oh you listen to Lemon Demon, Will Wood, Jack Stauber, Glass Animals, and Mother Mother? Tsk, don't you know that is stupid TikTok neurodivergent white transmasc preteen music? It's so mid and bad you should listen to real music–" you are a pit of misery
