oh, no, i missed the discourse, bummer (not really). but i've seen bits here and there.
listen, i'm so in love with louis and who he is, that he fucked up the first verse (my favorite) of wdbhg at my last 4 shows, and i just yelled "LOUEEEEH", laughed, called him an idiot and then fonded over him.
i, as a fan, do not care for "professionalism" in the sense of perfection and doing the same things most artists do. i love the whole experience of being a louis fan from watching a livestream of the same show every other day, to being showered with love whenever he gets a chance, to having the privilege of seeing him swaying around that stage even if he's sick, energetic, tired, mad, happy, etc..., to yearn for more and more louis (where are the real leaks?), to miss him horribly when he just disappears. i'm here for all of it, because i see how GENUINE he is. and i don't get this from anybody else.
i made a fan project last year. on the little papers i put a few different quotes of louis referring to his relationship with us (you can see them somewhere in @fitfwtvancouver), and since then he's given me so many more of those moments. because, you see, he realizes most artists say "i love you" and "you're the best" and "you're so important" to their fans, and it always falls flat, not because it's not true (although in some cases it really isn't), but because most artists don't really care to make sure fans know how they feel, or like it doesn't go deeper. so louis is always trying to find ways to tell us, like a broken record, but just to make sure we. fucking. get. it. that he appreciates that we love him just as he is, with his imperfections and flaws, no matter what.
so yeah... please, if you're here and you wish you'd see a different louis... i'm sorry, but you missed the whole entire point.
