I was tagged by @dp-marvel94 (I am just saying this is my very first occassion to by tagged in a thing like that, so filling this made my day really, thank you!)

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

206.997, and more than the half belongs under one idea – that’s creepy…

3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?

Oh, it’s many… once, I am into something, I have to write in that – surprisingly I am addicted to DP for nearly a year, and nothing else.

(But little bit of history, from the newest to the oldest: Danny Phantom, The Irregulars (that was really a short one), Guardians of Childhood/Rise of the Guardians (my very first finished multi-chaptered one was in that), Dark, Charmed (the old one, not the new series), Gravity Falls, Venom, Doctor Who, a crossover within Tangled: The Series and Milo Murphy’s Law, Death Note/Death Note: Another Note; and I had some ideas about a Rick and Morty and Gravity Falls crossover, and it seems I never uploaded here my concept about a not crossover Tangled: The Series idea, and either an independent one in Rick and Morty, hm… shame. Most of those are not finished. Okay, like 99% of it…)

5. Which of your fic do you want more attention for?

Definitely it’s WTPH. It’s my current work. The idea about it came in December, and since that, I am working on that constantly. At first, I had ideas for eight chapters, and nothing else. Now, it grew into this monstrosity: a side-line (Bonds Over Time), and a collection that contains the deleted scenes or ideas that appeared in my mind and could fit into the story (Bits Of The Past), and also an entirely finished concept for Vlad’s past (Certain Moment Of Time), that could be connected to it too.

I also put many headcanons in that, and ticks of characters, and parallels, and layers that I just love: like Vlad having a sister and some details about his family background, Dan having Vlad’s memories too, how the explosion in the Nasty Burger happened and how Dan turned out like that… some precious things, really, but I won’t elaborate much, in case of anyone wants to give a read to it. Overall, I tried to make the TUE-mess into a somewhat more reasonable logical mess – if I managed to do that at all. I don’t know I’m just like a mother with a new-born with it: look, it’s my child! I made it! I developed it! here, hold it! and love it too, as much as I do! (Sorry, I don’t know how that metaphor came…)

6. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Even if it’s a kudo, or a keysmash as a comment, I write back. I mean, if someone writes – literally anything – and spends time with it, I write them back too. (And my very bad habit, that sometimes, if the comment hits an interesting thought, I tend to explain the background behind that more, and accidentally spilling some things I shouldn’t yet... In many cases, it’s like a brainstorming, and then I use that idea. I mean as, for example many of @dp-marvel94’s comments on ff, made me to realise some things, and how then I fixed those forgotten parts made my story along with it much better – once, I will list them, and you’ll be surprised how long is that list, and how obvious things I forgot about entirely…)

7. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Okay, I don’t have many finished story – shame on me. So, I’ll count the shorts. I think it’s then Phantom. It rolls around the idea what if in Forever Phantom, Danny can’t change back to Phantom, and his parents blame Phantom for the disappearance of Danny, and they start chasing madly the ghosts, making them leave the human realm once and for all – which means, Danny has to go with them. It’s really a short fic, but I very like this idea, and it was my very first in this fandom. (I was watching DP that time, I mean, getting familiar with it, but this idea got stuck in my head as I watched that episode, so that was my introduction here. Also, I watched my very first DP episode that time, which means, less then a year ago, so, I am that newbie here…) I am not spilling the end of the story, but it doesn’t have a very happy end I could say.

8. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Uh, yes? I have a crossover within Tangled: The Series and Milo Murphy’s Law. It’s unfinished, but that time I thought Milo and Varian have the same vibe, including clumsiness. It was only a short idea that time, but it’s definitely worth once to continue or finish somehow. I have a crossover within Rick and Morty, and Gravity Falls. That is standing within my very big idea, but it’s halfway written on my original language and English and that’s like after how a certain trilogy end, but it has some mentioning of ideas I never finished, so yeah… it’s not even published anywhere. Maybe, once, I’ll decide what language I prefer for that, and translate the other part and then, hardly, but I’ll finish it some day... – or, never, it actually would be a very big bite if I try to imagine it.

9. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I don’t remember to that. I mean, my main story (WTPH) kind of not everyone’s preference, ’cause of Dan, so that’s already divides the readers and I haven’t got all in all many comments yet on my stories (kudos are appreciated too, I am shy too to leave comments on fics, so don’t worry, I get it), so I think I haven’t got any. But I'd be curious to experience if someone reads one of my stories and leaves behind a comment that then criticizing it. I mean, I’d be open to learn what part is not fitting, or just too much. (I am surprised that no one ever mentioned my ’weird’ sentences. I mean for me those make sense, but those make sense for a native English person too? I’m always worried about that…)

10. Do you write smut? if so what kind?

Uh, yeah, I did. Not very proud of it, though I don’t have a heart to orphan that work. I mean, it belongs to me too. Sometimes I wonder to delete some of my works, but then I realise, no, that’s me, I won’t pretend where I came from, and shove into the dustbin my mad thoughts... All in all, my stories now, for a while, are much more family-friendly – if, anything within DP could be really counted as ‘family-friendly’…

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yeah, I was very proud of my story back then, called Metamorphosis (Death Note), and I had a crazy idea and tried to translate it. So now, the first chapter is out there both in English and both in my native language, but I got stuck at the second chapter. I couldn’t translate wisely and logically the title of it to give out the many meaning it has in English. And I once tried to translate California (Gravity Falls) to English, but that would be a hard work, so I left it behind – maybe once…

Over that I sometimes has a crazy idea to translate back and forth my stories, no, beyond that, I haven’t had a fic translated from anyone else. And I think I am the only masochist that it ever crosses my mind, I guess…

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, not really. I’d be curious to once do that – maybe, but I’m not sure...

(To tell the truth, I’d be worried about that. I’d be glad to do that once, but I am anxious if I could understand my co-writer, or not. I mean, do you have any idea that I have to give five reads to any longer comments to understand it? I understand those (and I really love getting those!), but I have to give many reads to make sure I understand those well, and then, making sure, I answer back right, and my sentences make sense. My fics have ’fancy’ words, and I love working in English, but sometimes it’s a curse it’s not my native one. So then, I’m constantly worried about interactions, if I receive well something, and if my sentences are understandable for others or not. So, in short, you can see my struggle here… same reason I don’t do Invisobang, but I am considering it...)

13. What’s your all time favorite ship?

I’m not very much a ship-type. But I count Danny and Sam, as a fix point. (Danny and Val was nice and I’d have been very glad to see them in more episodes, but let’s face it, that wouldn’t work, because both of them are too stubborn to choose their other life and if once, they would face with each other, knowing everything about the other, they’d remain allies or at most very good friends.) If, the question is, what are the ships in my head (but not necessarily just ‘romantic’) that I prefer to read, well, it’s Dan and Valerie. I love their dynamics, especially in Deliverance. I don’t know why I just love reading it.

For other reasons I ship Dani and Valerie. Though I can’t write romance and stuff like that, but in one of my planned ideas they are dating - sort-of...

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Okay, there are many. Surely, it’s my Gravity Falls story, called California, but that’s a huge one, and the first one in a trilogy (plus some additional side-lines), and mainly in my head for years, so yeah… I think I won’t ever reasonably finish that as it should be finished. A Tale of Fords (Gravity Falls) could be count as one too. Oh, and Envision and ties (Doctor Who). Sad to say, but yeah, I am always saying, “maybe once”, but I am not sure when…

15. What are your writing strengths?

Okay, this is a funny thing, but I’ve realised I can’t deal with many characters at the same time. So, I think my strength are dialogues and interactions within two people. And I get into their thoughts, so I guess if I have to word it somehow: it’s character-studies then.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Can’t handle more than two people. No, seriously, somehow it always turns out, the third is unconscious, sleeping, leaves the room, and so on. I’ve just recognised it recently, and it was a hilarious recognition…

I am also bad at actions, like very very bad, I don’t even try that, because my brain just simple can’t come up with fight-scenes at all. I think I only can write character-studies, and nothing else.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Oh, man… does it count I am not a native English-user? So, technically I ‘always’ write dialogues in another language? But jokes aside, sometimes, I have ideas that the people use another language, and I am like “are you aware, you can’t even write English slang?”, so then, I gave up. Right now, though, I am planning to add ASL in one of my future ideas. I am wrecking my mind, how to do that nicely – but that’s only a forming plan, and dated for next year, currently, I am only collecting ideas for that.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Does it count my very first fic was a fanfiction of one of my friend’s fanfiction in high school? She wrote a really good story – not shared anywhere, we were just giving each other the hand-written exercise book (oh, the old days…). If I remember well, it was a crossover within Supernatural and Queen of the Damned (the movie, not the book). I had no idea about Supernatural, but the story was good, but I was not satisfied with the end, and in secret I wrote another end for it, to myself. I’m not sure where is that anymore, but I clearly remember that was my very first written stuff, and that’s how my origin story began and how is I am here now.

(Oh, and once, I wrote a H2O fanfiction short story to my sister as a name-day present, in which she was a mermaid, discovering her powers during a holiday at a beach (we were at that time in Croatia in a family holiday, so the timing was fitting), and that was one of my very first fandoms to write in it too… God, I have no idea why I wrote it down, it just crossed my mind, and I remember I thought it was cute, I think she was eleven or twelve that time, so I am not sure she appreciated as much as I found it fun to write that…)

19. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

This is mean… anyway, currently it’s WTPH, for obvious reasons. But I am very proud how the Angst Week turned out (my work for that is called Certain Moment of Time). First of all, I doubted I would be able to write for every day, since I planned to do the whole DannyMay, but things turned out differently and I am still sad, I haven’t done many. But I did not just managed to write for all days, but all could be counted under one idea, and also each of the chapters could be read independently at the same time. It includes a little bit of background story about Vlad, about a rewritten time, his struggles at the hospital, things around Danny’s birth, how Danny managed to survive the Portal incident, how Vlad was informed about the Ghost Boy, and that actually Danny’s separation was just a ‘plan B’ that Vlad tried to avoid… it’s complicated to describe the many things in that, but when I feel WTPH an unescapable mess, and I am frustrated by the lack of proper words to finish the coming chapters, CMOT is my absolute favourite. And I love the whole idea about it. No, I’ll be honest, that’s my beloved so far (just because it’s finished). But I like so much too my idea about Dan and Dani in Bonds Over Time, how they try to live together a normal life… okay, let’s admit it, this question is mean, I seriously can’t tell, and I am thinking right now only my current ones…

20. What fic are you most proud of?

Okay, this is mean too. I am proud of my old works as much that I always go back to them when I am in a nostalgic mode. (I haven’t read any of my old ones in ages, because I try to avoid distractions, and knowing myself, I’d start thinking about the continuation and never finishing my current works at all...)

I am proud of Pitch’s Secret, because that was my very first multi-chaptered one idea that I actually managed to finish. That in fact, gave me the courage to start working on a multi-chaptered DP one. (My original plan was to be brave and aim doing eight chapters, to top the five, and I would have been very proud of myself, but instead now it’s way longer than that original idea, and I seriously don’t know when it will end – twenty chapters maybe?)

I think, if I don’t include the previous question. (It’s the same, isn’t it?) I am very proud of the first chapter in my Doctor Who fic. That doesn’t tell anything about the plot or about anything, that just gives a very good atmospheric background. Every time I read that, it gives me shivers.

MLB Rewatch: Simon Says

The first time I’ve done a rewatch post on a season one episode. Gasp!

Okay, so Simon Says (or Jackady, depending on which dub you watch) is my favourite episode of the first season. I am going to begin by summing up the many reasons why:

· Gabriel hugging Adrien for the first time (more on that below);

· The more layers and significance so much of the episode gains after you’ve seen season two (ditto);

· The first proper Ladrien interaction;

· The shower thing;

· The episode that makes me question how on earth it took me SO long to wonder if Gabriel was Hawk Moth*;

· The timing of character movements, which holds much amusement by imagining what is NOT shown.

(*To be fair, I immediately guessed he was involved somehow, but the thought of him actually being Hawk Moth didn’t cross my mind until about my fourth viewing of the season. At the point when it finally occurred to me to think, “I wonder if we’ve seen Hawk Moth as a civilian in the show already?”. It didn’t take me long to make the connection, which was based as much on his eye colour and shape of his face as it was his obvious interest in the Miraculouses. Some time after seeing season two, I re-read a plan of one of my pre-watching-season-two fanfics, which featured the line “Mr Agreste explains his involvement with the Miraculouses (whatever it is)”. I haven’t decided if I’ll ever write up and post that particular fic, but if I do it will be updated in certain areas.)

“I’ve never noticed your earrings before,” he interrupts her to say. Subtle, Gabriel. Really subtle.

And that is definitely the look of an innocent person who’s just been saved from a supervillain.

It’s the first episode in which we get to see Gabriel act like a human being, in the moment he hugs Adrien. Especially priceless after the way he behaves up until that point. It’s the moment when, watching the show for the first time, I realised that he actually did love Adrien after all.

Anyone who follows me will be WELL aware that I am a Gabriel fan, but it took me a long time to become one. He started to grow on me a short while after I’d seen season two; until then, I really didn’t like him much at all. But I stopped actually hating him when I saw that moment for the first time. (Now, he’s my second-favourite character, after Nathalie. Though he’s not the main subject of this entire post …)

After The Collector, obviously certain episodes of season one are watched in a new light—for instance, it’s fair to assume that Gabriel deliberately provokes people where he can in order to create negative emotions that he can exploit. In the instance of Simon Says, it could just have easily been Alec instead who was akumatized, if he had taken the insult to heart—Gabriel probably wasn’t aiming specifically for Simon.

(Even that chair swivel away from the portrait holds so much more meaning now!)

And although it’s clear that Alec is, well, not the most sensitive or respectful guy, it occurred to me for the first time that he probably didn’t contact Gabriel under false pretences as Gabriel claims. Gabriel says “I was told this was an interview”, but he has already, as Hawk Moth, demonstrated that he is aware of the TV show—and André Bourgeois clearly knew what he was getting into. If someone working on the show had spoken to Gabriel in person and explained, then Gabriel would not have got away with this, since they would have known he was lying. But if they had spoken to Nathalie instead, then he can get away with pretending to have been misinformed. (Blame the assistant. Sorry, Nathalie.)

Speaking of Nathalie …

We’ve seen in Félix that she could easily have taken on those hypnotised people who came in to grab Gabriel (for that matter, he probably could have as well; I know we haven’t seen him demonstrate combat skills as a civilian, but I’m sure he has some), but instead she chooses to hide. (With quite a fierce expression, I must say.) Which means that being taken to the studio was obviously part of Gabriel’s plan, which he says himself is “risky”. I have to wonder what his backup plan was; if Simon Says had not been de-akumatized, if he had actually got the Miraculouses, then Gabriel himself would have been faced with the options of plunging to his death or exposing his identity by transforming into Hawk Moth on the way down. I’ve said many times that Gabriel has an “act now, think later” problem, but I’m also now wondering if Nathalie was keeping a close eye somehow, ready to jump in if things got too risky. Though where she was, and how quickly she could have stopped him jumping, I don’t know …

Moving on from my precious villains now. (Mostly.)

I have to laugh at Simon Says’ cards. First of all, there’s the fact that when he turns people into “soldiers”, they act like zombies; yet that can’t just be because they’re hypnotised, because the other commands don’t work like that. So inconsistency there.

But of course the best ones are the ones which take on a whole new significance when rewatched in context. I didn’t get into the online fandom until after Miracle Queen had been released in English, so it wasn’t until then that I discovered the fandom name for Adrien’s bodyguard.

That makes me laugh every time—but not as much as Gabriel being a butterfly! I remember almost choking with laughter the first time I saw that after having seen The Collector, because it wasn’t until then that I got it. (No, I did not notice the hint all those times I watched that episode very closely when trying to figure out if Gabriel was Hawk Moth or not. It was the fact that it’s the only episode in which Hawk Moth does not do an ending monologue from his lair which was what made me 99% convinced.)

It’s so much fun going through episodes and pausing to get screenshots, because you notice things you might not see when watching it all the way through …

He’s finally starting to look worried here. “Oh, now you agree it was a bad idea?” I can hear Nathalie saying.

Also, the zombies are cross-eyed.

Apologies if this hasn’t been the most well-structured post! As often with these things, I write the post, then look for accompanying screenshots, and discover extra bits to add in while doing so, which can jar the flow a bit.

Thoughts on the Special DwD Event あなたも私もホントはアクマか!？Are you and I both Devils?! (01.05.2016)

After almost 2 years of waiting for a DVD release for this event, I decided to take it upon myself to use Twitter’s shitty search engine to search Event Reports for it and I honestly don’t regret it??? But at the same time it just added to my salt that this won’t be seeing a DVD release anytime soon :))))))

Note: Contains Spoilers, proceed with Caution though since we all won’t be seeing this any time soon or probably EVER, might as well just spoil yourself 8D These are all based off a detailed Report I read on twitter IN JAPANESE about the full event and it’s the closest I will ever get to experiencing it (which I really REALLY want to) so your guess is just as good as mine unless you don’t understand Japanese then feel free to ask me anything :D

THIS.EVENT.WAS.THE.BOMB.

It was a flurry of Emotions even for me, who basically just read a Report for it so imagine if I actually was there???

Basically, you could call this event something that was meant to be remembered for both the cast and the audience and it’s honestly a shame we won’t have anything to remember it by (Except for Event Reports and I’m SOOO thankful to that person who went through all that scribbling on her note pad throughout the whole 2 sessions JUST to write a full detailed report on it, you’re the True MVP) .

Though onto the actual content during this event, they actually went with something like a Musical Short Story with some fun seiyuu corners in between scripts. The event being split into two sessions: Day and Night, have different titles for the short stories similar to how the anime episodes were titled; The Day session was titled “The Charleston of Reminiscence and Dreams” and The Night Session, “The Minuet of Reunions and Farewells”. Though both sessions are basically the same story, they actually have 2 different outcomes. Meaning if you only bought the Ticket for the Day session, you wouldn’t be able to see the other outcome of the story and vice versa.

Like, can you believe it?? That this whole event was basically built on the concept of having a choice like in an interactive Visual Novel and the choice was whether you bought the Ticket for the Night session or The Day session X’DD Though those who were willing to pay for twice the price for both Tickets get the best of both worlds and Avex (The main organizer) gets them ticket sales yet doesn’t release a DVD for the Event :))) (I’m salty OK?)

Back to the topic at hand, you can say that this short story was something like a mildly self aware alternative timeline set after the events of the anime that was also the producer’s personal crack fic… with its own good and bad end…yeah, this was wild but it was a good kind of wild and everybody cried at the end (Of the Night session that is, details coming up) so :’D

Here’s a summary of the story…or basically the whole story www:

The story starts off with Lindo narrating about the life of the Tachibana family four months after the events of the Anime ( Which is around the time of this event, Avex you genius), he and Ritsuka continued going to school whereas Maria continues her career as a Translator. Lindo apparently still trains his exorcist skills but of course, hopes that he wouldn’t have to use it again. He then talks about the atmosphere around the school being lonely, noting how lifeless the school’s greenhouse was, or how there wasn’t anybody kicking down classroom doors now, or that weird student flying up and down from the third floor,neither is the pomeranian that was constantly yelping nor that weird chorus that came out from the Third Library every time he passed by it, but most importantly how there wasn’t signs saying “Mushrooms are strictly prohibited” around the school compound anymore, other than that, life was fine and dandy for this Siscon. On Top of that, Ritsuka’s frilly apron was officially his now as he’s mainly the one doing the cooking in the house www

Meanwhile in the Demon realm, Glax calls upon Rem and gives him a brand new mission to accomplish and that is *drum rolls* to host a Radio broadcasting program and win the heart of all the civilians in the demon realm to vote for him as king now that Maksis is revived wwwwww Urie and Mage wish Rem good luck and were off to spend their own leisure time before he pulls them back and says that Glax wanted the four of them to host it wwww Urie tries to find an excuse saying that he was busy preparing for a party with his butterflies and Mage says that he had to give his underlings Training until Shiki, being the one that actually doesn’t mind joining, chimes in and says that if they hosted the Radio Program in the middle of the night, the broadcast tower in the demon realm might just be able to transmit its signals to the Human realm as well which means that Ritsuka might be able to listen to their program and Urie and Mage were officially in with the group lol.

They then proceed to think of a Title for their Program and decided to go with Shiki’s idea: All Night Makai (Basically All Night Demon Realm www). To which Mage, Urie and Rem (Rather adorably) say out the title in a rather confused tone, splitting the three words in random places among the three of themselves until Shiki got annoyed and asked if they just hated him that much that they aren’t including him in their mini charade and the three of them say that there’s just a weird sense of Deja Vu as if they had experienced the very same thing somewhere… like this was another timeline. The four of them ponder about this with Urie noting that it’s probably true as he had caught wind about how the activation of the Forbidden Grimoire had caused several Parallel worlds to occur which resulted in a confused Mage as he struggles to keep up with their ‘foreign’ language though still mistakes Jikansen (Timelines) for Shinkansen (Bullet Train) in Japanese LMAO. Rem basically explains the game mechanics of the DwD game describes it as two different doors that lead you to several outcomes depending on which door you choose and Mage finally gets it by saying that “It’s just like a Game!” (To which I snickered cause this level of foreshadowing is glorious).

The four of them got back to coming up with a content for their program and came to a conclusion that they’d each do their own mini segments: Urie’s lectures on “Amor” : A sure way to gain the heart of your beloved’ (Urie has some glorious English www) , Rem’s “I’ll tell you what really happened back then” (in which he tells you something you didn’t know about certain scenes involving him in the anime lololol), Mage’s ハジゲテイッチャワ(whatever-the-fuck-those-Katakana-actually-mean) NIGHT and Shiki’s ‘Are you shivering with excitement tonight?” (Where he attempts to make you go ゾクゾクするね～ with him). The program ended up being a success and managed to rake in a 90% rating but Shiki just had to pour cold water over the other 3 saying that it’s because they’re the only Radio broadcasting program in the Demon realm LMFAO. The four then pondered about whether Ritsuka was able to listen to their midnight program.

Back in the Human realm, Lindo decides to listen to some Radio after completing his daily exorcist training and actually comes across their Program but doesn’t recognize any of their voices and isn’t able to catch the pun in the Title wwwww. He thinks of letting Ritsuka listen to it but it dawned on him that she was having a sleep over at Azuna’s and laments that it’d be a long night without her XD At Azuna’s place, Azuna presented Ritsuka with an assortment of Creampuffs from Ritsuka’s favorite pastry shop, Aspiration (In the night session, Azuna’s showing her newly bought pink pajamas instead) when she suddenly sighs in relief much to Azuna’s confusion. Ritsuka confesses that she had a nightmare where she dreamt of Azuna dying protecting her and was just glad that it was all just a dream ;;; Azuna says that she’s had the same dream too and wonders if it’s something that happens in another Timeline ( geez, I wonder :”)) ) but tells Ritsuka if that were true, she wouldn’t regret a single thing about it, because Ritsuka’s her precious friend. Ritsuka responds saying that she too would do anything to save her if Azuna ever got into trouble. Kaze no yokan starts playing and Ritsuka and Azuna took turns singing each verse, ending it with a duet during the final altered verse of the song.

The scene changes back to the demon realm and Mage has some big news for the other 3. He heard news about the Forbidden Door connected to the Human realm (I’m assuming it’s the Gates of Gehenna?), which was said to open only once every 99 years, was going to be open in a few days and says that he’s jumping on the chance to go back to the human realm. Urie and Shiki decide that they’re going too but Rem hesitates, saying that there isn’t a reason for them to go there ;w; ( Boy was probably worried about Glax being furious at his departure…) The others urge him to be more open about what he truly wishes for and this is where the script cuts to a session featuring exclusive monologues for each boy (including Lindo), talking about the what ifs of their relationship with Ritsuka (kinda disappointed that the monologue was the same for Rem in both sessions but eh whatever, he had a solo performance at the end after all lol) . The session ends with the Reprise version of Mademoiselle (which had the same arrangement as the one sung by the stage play cast in the first musical, slow and rather bittersweet).

Rem finally decides that he really wants to go see Ritsuka (after 4 months of not seeing her XDD) but rejects Urie’s idea of fooling his father into thinking that they were at the broadcast station by pre-recording their weekly radio program (in the Day session, he agrees to go along with it) and instead says that he’ll try his best to inform his father about this straightforwardly. At night, the gate finally opens and the four of them enter it while hoping that wherever they end up at isn’t a threat to their lives =v= (Shiki on the other hand wants that to happen ww) The four of them ended up arriving back at the third library and the music for Warewa Shikou Gakuen Setokai starts playing (cause why the hell not). Meanwhile, Lindo and Azuna are on their way to the third library after witnessing his exorcist pendant glowing brightly and as Lindo puts it: ‘Fiercely saying “Say Yes!”’(Yeah, wtf lmao) when Ritsuka comes running after them, saying that her king crown was glowing too, much to Lindo’s dismay as he had told her to stay at home wwww. The three of them burst into the library and came face to face with the four devils, much to Ritsuka’s joy as she happily greeted all of them but of course, Rem first :3 The trio immediately surrounded her (before Rem could get to her I assume www) and are onto their usual banter about who she had wanted to see first but is warded off by Azuna’s holy water (reference to episode 8 www) lol. Lindo whines about Ritsuka not listening to him by choosing to chase after them and the trio chirped about how that’s so Ritsuka lmao. While they’re at it, Rem and Ritsuka reconcile with each other and Dance with Destinies starts playing, before being cut off after the first verse as Rem proposes that there is another way that they could be together.

Day Session Ending: Before Rem could make a decision, Glax bursts into the scene, furious that Rem tricked him. It’s revealed that Rem’s excuse for not being able to obtain the Grimoire was because he chose to help a human, which Glax already considers a punishable sin so finding out that it wasn’t only a human but the grimoire itself, Glax drags the four of them back to the Demon realm, saying that he would engrave it in Rem’s body to never do such a thing again as an Arlond ;;; Ritsuka is heartbroken but Azuna and Lindo reassure her that they would definitely meet again someday. We then cut to a scene where Rem laments about how weak he was for not being able to confront his father about his decision and vows to be stronger so that he could see her again someday.

Night Session Ending: Dance with Destinies starts playing again at the fourth verse and the lyrics are adapted for Rem. He chooses to live as a human beside Ritsuka and the trio note how he has changed and are amused at what possibilities the future would have for the 2 of them. Lindo (Hatano Wataru was unexpectedly crying at this point lol :”) ) asks if that was even possible, and Urie tells him that there’s actually plenty of devils living in the human realm in the guise of regular people and points to the crowd below the stage XD Mage then exclaims to the crowd that from now on, they’re Rem’s senpais when it comes to living in the human world ( AWWWWW). Shiki notices Lindo crying but he denies it and says that it was just his holy water and tearfully says SARUBESHII LMFAO (This part was mostly an ad-lib because it was unexpected www). The story comes to an end as Rem promises Ritsuka to never let her go no matter what and that the both of them will walk together towards the future.

Ah, what can I say, this short story (yeah, short XD) was actually pretty fun and filled with all sorts of emotions. The thing that I’m most surprised about is how Timelines were brought up quite a few times in this story and they even managed to have it related to the activation of the Grimoire. I liked the fact that it was self-aware that it could be a different Timeline on its own (which it was, judging by how Azuna was alive in this story and its rather cracky moments) and honestly thought that it was much more ‘Timeline -themed’ than the movie was even though the theme of the movie was supposed to be “Timelines”. The nods towards the game’s existence and how the different routes in it can also be described as timelines was honestly creative imo and it’s just such a shame that the movie didn’t utilized this concept. Although the songs were mostly reused, I liked the fact that some of the lyrics and music arrangements were adapted to fit the current situation and I thought that it was a pretty smart move by the producers to maintain a sort of live musical feel to it. The only disappointment I have is that I wish Ritsuka had more dialogue and that she’d be the one to narrate the first few lines of the story instead of Lindo. Like I want to hear her thoughts on life after the events of the anime and of course her thoughts on Rem and the others being gone, it felt that she had more of a passive voice in this story and I can’t help but wonder if it’s the producers attempt to not make the story ‘too’ RemRitsu inclined but eh, at least we got a live duet lol (I’ll just hope that they’re saving it for a more serious sequel, let a girl dream). Another thing worth mentioning in this story and probably my most favourite part of it, is the relationship between the four devils. They had so many comical dialogue with each other it’s hard not to love them in this story :3 I also really liked how Lindo narrated the story at the beginning with how oblivious he is about why those things were missing in school www. This is especially hilarious if you know just who those quirky habits belong to =w= Glax and surprisingly, Holland (in Rem’s segment of the radio program) do make an appearance in this story but only as voice recordings, to which I wonder who voiced Holland lol (I hope it’s Subaru =v= ).

As for the seiyuu part of this event. there was actually a segment in between the script where they had to respond to comments from the fans in the audience and decide whether they’re a human or a devil in the day session wwwww , whereas they had to respond to comments about the anime in the night session (Reader: Hatano Wataru). I found it pretty sweet that they actually try to make out who was the person that wrote the comment in the crowd and acknowledge them especially that part where Souma asked a fan if they’re saying her pen name right www (They were debating whether it’s said as U-S-A or just usa lol). Like I mentioned in my summary of the story, Hatano Wataru cried during the finale of the story but managed to stabilize his voice when he was singing Unmei no Coda and BL(U)CK BASIS (short versions of both) right after. He explains that the reason for his tears was that he thought that scene with Souma and Himika was beautiful (He’s such a proud senpai ;w;) so everyone starts calling him Mama Lindo lolol (Souma: Okaa-san? XD). The final cast comments came after Pentacle’s version of Kakusei no air (Which actually has an official recording but it’s only available in the 1st volume of the BD for the anime :”D) and things got emotional for everyone, especially Souma as he started crying during his turn ( He was kinda holding it back all this time) ;;; I actually translated his comment but I haven’t posted it here so here it is:

Honestly, it’s really such a shame and an even bigger Mystery as to why this Event didn’t have a DVD release. So much heart was put into it only for it to remain as only a memory OTL At first, I thought it was mainly Rejet’s problem but turns out, it was Avex who was the main organiser and I’m just so???? Though I jokingly think that it’s because the cameraman forgot to record the whole event so they couldn’t make a DVD =v= I honestly hope that isn’t what really happened though cause it’d be really 何で神様？！ORZ and I’d feel really bad for the Cast cause the songs that they only get to perform once live didn’t get recorded , to think that Souma really wanted a DVD release as well…

Overall, this event was indeed a special one and I’ll forever be salty that it won’t be having a DVD release nor an official recording album for the event-adapted songs. Why wasn’t this the movie instead?

Some Mob Psycho 100 Gen Fics

So call me inspired by this post by @guttersnipequeen because I’m always overjoyed to be seeing gen works getting some appreciation, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites! :’D So here are a few (with an emphasis on Mob and Reigen or Dad!Reigen, since their dynamic is my favorite ;v; ) And sorry most of these are pretty short or oneshots, I tend to have a very short attention span;;;

Also heed the warnings on these fics! They’re not all pure fluff...no romance/sex/shipping or anything like that to be found in these fics though.

I’m just going to start on @sukikobold ‘s works, because she’s a wonderful writer and literally all of her works are beautiful gen. All of them. Some favorites include:

Thorns (one-shot)

The thorns that surrounded him were red and twisted. Every plant was so intertwined with the others, it was impossible to tell where one ended and the next one began. Or maybe they were all one plant. It didn’t make much difference.

(Such a beautifully symbolic piece for a beautifully symbolic picture, I’m extremely fond of them, oh my goodness...)

Hospital Flowers (one-shot)

It was bad enough for Ritsu knowing that his brother had been kidnapped. He didn't think finding him would be so much worse.

(It’s nice seeing how many people worry about Mob, and I also like seeing Ritsu learning to trust Reigen a bit more :’) )

One Afternoon (multi-chapter)

A possible answer to the question, "What would have happened if Mob had asked someone else for help with his powers?"

Aka: An AU where Mob and Reigen don't meet until the present day.

(Not finished yet, but it’s already plenty heartwarming and I’m very interested to see what this story is building up to!)

(First gen fic I found and liked for this series! It’s really interesting seeing character studies from the outsider POV of a well written OC. Plus the ending is precious <3 )

99 by entrenched (two-shot, part of a series I haven’t made it all the way through yet but it is indeed all gen)

In which Mob & Reigen ask the same question: Will you forget me?

(Oh mannnn...really sweet but melancholic fic, this one breaks my heart in all the best ways ;~; )

Symbiosis by ruthwrites (multi-chapter)

In the aftermath of the night fighting Claw's 7th Division, Mob's powers return to him. However, something unknown is left behind with Reigen. Something that doesn't want to remain there. And someone begins to take notice of the strange psychic activity coming from the Spirits and Such Consultation Office.

(Or: in which Reigen is saddled with ???%, and things go poorly for all involved.)

(Woo, okay, REALLY COOL fic here, full of some interesting headcanons and theories (some horror too, be careful) The last few chapters kept me on the edge of my seat! I love the descriptions and characterizations soooo much, and I was also happy to get a sort of Psychonauts-ish vibe from the end scenes which I don’t wanna specify because spoilers lol)

On Glass Shoulders by NotHereForIt (two-shot)

Mob is not answering his phone.

And Reigen really does not want to be the one to tell the Kageyamas that he lost their kid while on an exorcism job.

(Admittedly, I was a liiittle iffy on the premise at first glance, but after reading...dang I think I’m in love with this one really. Wonderfully in character, protective Reigen, good fluff, the return of Reigen lecturing bad guys and being awesome in general...plus a surprise follow up chapter update recently to nicely wrap things up! What more could I ask for really? )

When You Need Me by SpiritusRex (multi-chapter)

Five times Mob hugged Reigen, and one time Reigen hugged Mob.

( Gosh this one’s so good and sweet, and I can see these happening in canon too! They actually fix/add a few scenes that I think should have happened; all very good, I’m always excited to see a new installment :’D Annnd I know it was already mentioned on the linked post, but @ghoststrawberries /SpiritusRex and @starsfadingbutilingeron /GlowingArrowsInTheSky also made the adorable A Cat Named Milk fic series, SO precious and pure, oh man...I had to put it here still, I had to ;v;)

Lysis by caratcake (one-shot)

The boy stared, his eyes holding the immeasurable depth of black holes, empty but all-encompassing. He lifted his hand, and the man tightened his grip on his charm. The boy did not reach for it. Instead, he splayed his hands palm up, eyes directed upwards -

“There is no rain.”

(Super short but super beautiful Serizawa-centric fic, I loved reading it!)

Influential by macrauchenia (multi-chapter)

Alternatively, "Five times Reigen inadvertently adopts an esper and the one time he actually realizes what he's gotten himself into."

(There’s only one chapter of this so far but it already looks very promising, so I’ll go ahead and put it here! :’D)

As for @phantomrose96 , I feel like her angst fics get talked about alot, and for good reason too (I’m sure you all have seen me yelling about A Breach of Trust at some point or another asdhureiregh), but I sometimes like to remind myself she can write some really good fluff when she wants to...this is one of those times. Chiasmus by fireflysummers (two-shot)

In the end, Mob can’t protect other people from himself. In the end it all comes to a head, and when he wakes up people have died. It doesn’t matter who they were or what they were trying to do. It doesn’t matter that his life, and the lives of those most important to him were at stake. All that matters is that he failed.

So, in his despair, he builds a cage and willingly walks into it. His vessel sleeps, and he knows that the others may mourn him for a while, in the end it’s better this way. The others, however, aren’t going to let that stand.

Even if they have to go in after him.

The Waffle Cottage Chronicles

IN WHICH, in a Modern AU, Sasuke successfully convinces Shingen (and by extension, Saizo and Yukimura) to take a cross-country roadtrip to the Mouse World amusement park, because he has never been and has always wanted to, and they stop at a 24 hour diner for waffles, whereupon they acquire a short order cook/waitress, you. SHENANIGANS ENSUE, with additional cameos by ALL the other Samurai as appropriate.

This is the fic that Refused To Be Written. I started on it like a legitimate year ago, and the device I was writing on got stolen while I was at the doc's, and so it just stalled out, but the idea wouldn't leave, so at some point I tried to do an outline…and it grew, and grew, and grew. And here we are. This is not a fic, this is a 5000+ word headcanon in bullet point form. Someday I may actually write it out. That day is not today.

SASUKE STARTS THINGS OFF (but it's Yukimura's fault, probably):

It’s modern day Japan

Sasuke has been begging and begging and BEGGING to go to Mouse World just once pleeeease

Asks corporate maverick Shingen to give his foster dad time off to take him

Okay but Shingen literally owns the rival amusement park so this is legit straight up corporate espionage but hey Sasuke is one of his so it needs to happen

So he tells Saizo to do it

Saizo is like uuuum yeah, but no, I’d really rather not, thanks? That is literally on the exact possible opposite corner of this country and I need to like, take a nap on the roof or something, soooo I’m booked

But then there’s Yukimura with his eyes all BRIGHT and SHINY and SPARKLING because omg MOUSE WORLD?!

So Saizo sighs, with a profound sense of foreboding and already-forming regret, but at least Shingen is paying for everything, so whatever, he loads up the car with snacks and off they go

Shingen comes too because he is like a cool uncle like that

Also yes he pays for everything

Saizo is not sure it’s worth it

I swear Yukimura if you start singing 99 bottles of sake on the wall ONE. MORE. TIME.

Saizo regrets everything

Babysitting Sasuke is fine but Yukimura AND Shingen too?

Yeah he’s over it by kilometer like, three

They finish all the snacks because of course they do

So they stop at a 24-hour breakfast diner at like half-past midnight

THE WAFFLE COTTAGE

Inuchiyo is assistant manager of night shift

And we are almost out of hashbrowns, so VERY RELUCTANTLY he leaves the manager, our HEROINE, YOU, after asking like a thousand times are you SURE you will be okay if I leave to get hashbrowns, the drunks will come wandering inside in like an hour

Yeah yeah yeah Inuchiyo, you can handle it, you’ve been helping your dad run the place since you were practically born, which he KNOWS, you will be fine you can handle this

You are a strong independent woman THIS IS IMPORTANT

And anyway yeah, it’ll be fine, it’s a quiet weekday night like what’s really going to happen, the only bad thing would be if you DO run out of hashbrowns before the drunks roll in and you can't make your dad's famous Absolute Vic-tater-y Breakfast Bowl

Don't judge me for that please

Anyway here comes in this adorable family unit right as Inuchiyo leaves and he immediately DOES NOT LIKE THEM but hashbrowns call

So Saizo orders hashbrowns

Saizo knows perfectly well that you already gave them your last order of hashbrowns, because he saw you doing the mental math on it when they ordered the first round of bowls

And of course Sasuke and Yukimura adore you already and they’re excited about everything so they chime in with YEAH!

And Shingen just laughs his low wonderful belly laugh and if your shivers contribute to you sort of numbly, automatically agreeing who can blame you

And the next thing you know, you’re in the car with them and like several kilometers down the road, still in your Waffle Cottage uniform before you realize this is really not normal

Also, you 100% forget to leave a message for Inuchiyo but don’t realize this

And also also Sasuke has fallen asleep with his head on your arm and your heart just melts

You do kind of wish maybe Yukimura would pick a different song to sing over and over again?

You suddenly realize you don’t have your phone and oh man Inuchiyo is probably going crazy

And keep in mind this is a rest stop, at an ungodly hour in the morning of course they totally misinterpret what you’re asking for oh shit

And Yukimura is there, suddenly, pulling you back and shoving that door closed with a growly 'back off' and hot DAMN, son you’d kind of written him off as this sweet puppy dog but those muscles woah

Super sweet and worried, like, are you okay and omg I just realized how terrible we are for dragging an innocent girl out at all hours, he’ll get you home, YUKIMURA GENJIROU SANADA SWEARS IT TO YOU

This is all very sweet and passionate and all but Shingen is like, hey guys, I got us a ride, sooo let’s move out troops

THE TRUCK DRIVER

Driver is a beautiful man with blonde hair and blue eyes and you’re like, this is not who I would picture driving an 18 wheeler?

You may or may not let that slip out loud and he just SPARKLES AT YOU “But isn’t the hum of the engine just so delightful? Like a tiger purring.”

There’s a sideways glance between him and Shingen and you SUSPECT and WONDER like how did Shingen get y'all this ride anyway but oh god it’s like 3:30 AM you’re too tired to carry that thought to completion

Agreed that you will take turns riding up front with Sasuke and the driver

(Sasuke fits in the middle seat HELLO IT’S AN EIGHTEEN WHEELER he wants to honk the horn)

This is the same reason why Yukkin is first to ride up front

IN THE BACK

Except oh wait this means you are alone in the back with Shingen omg yes there is TENSION in the AIR

Okay also this is a super bumpy ride, is Kenshin actually licensed for this?

Ahahaha nervous conversation on your part like, hey, so, you seemed to know our driver well?

Yeah we help eachother out sometimes--who is this man and what does he do you wonder you do--but I’m much more interested in getting to know you?

There is maybe a brief part of you that legit considers it BUT

And that's lovely and all but it is ALSO TERRIFYING

Sure enough all of a sudden there are BLACK VANS forming in FORMATIONS around you

You can see Yukimura looking super confused and Shingen frowning, but then he grins and waves as you LEAVE in a FUCKING STOLEN VAN

THE KENSHIN INTERLUDE

Next thing you know you're at a high rise department store

Wait it's like 6 AM is this place even open

It is for Kenshin because surprise he owns it

SO WHY WAS HE DRIVING A TRUCK

Oh he told you that, he beams and reminds you, he liked the sound it made

He also likes you and so he is dressing you up because you're just too cute to be wearing a greasy apron and uniform

Oh my god so many outfits and they cost more than like, the entire mortgage of your diner

By now it's like 8 AM

But this one really is super cute and fun?

Kenshin is telling the sales lady he will take all of them

Excuse you WHAT

But you don't get to debate because Shingen has shown up again

He approves of outfit

He tells Kenshin to bill Takeda Corp for it and tosses you over his shoulder

Okay hey now wait a minute just hold on here

Except Kanetsugu is there now too, ripping Kenshin a new one

You feel a little bad but the elevator doors are already closing

Casually informs you he already bought the passes and Yukimura and Sasuke already went in and yup, sure enough you're like a block away from Mouse World

MOUSE WORLD (BEHIND THE SCENES)

Okay so you are actually super excited for this

You've never been to Mouse World but you just know it's going to be MAGICAL walking through those sparkling gates

But Shingen is leading you somewhere else?

But you thought he had passes?

Oh, he does, but why would you want to fight through all the crowds, he's charmed one of the actresses into letting you all in behind the scenes

You are fascinated

Just like, just as wide eyed and full of wonder as if it had been the front gates because this is HOW the magic works

Actress notices this, and she is trying to look cool for Shingen so she coyly offers to let you try on her princess costume?

I mean after all, the two of you have a super similar body type

LIKE YOU WOULD SAY NO?

So you wander off for like THIRTY SECONDS

There is a tiara and everything and you love your job you do but come on who doesn't want to be a Mouse Kingdom princess?

There is something magic just…magic about putting on that tiara

You are not a tiara person but it is a Mouse Kingdom tiara and it is fucking magical

So you twirl in front of the mirror a few times

And then go to knock on the door where Shingen and actress were waiting for you

Except Shingen and the actress are clearly, er, occupied with one another

Actress manages to pause for breathe and is like, but I have to be back on stage in five minutes for the finale?

And Shingen persuades her otherwise

You are not really sure of the particulars involved his technique of doing so you just know there are suddenly NOISES coming from the other side of that door and you just NOPE yourself back down the hall, thanks

There is a joke here somewhere about princesses getting a happy ending

Okay but anyway Super Green gives you a thumbs up so apparently you are doing a good job looking like you are in distress

That isn't hard IEYASU IS FUCKING SCARY

but wait a minute, Super Red is taking his helmet off?

You both stare at each other in shock

(It occurs to you to wonder where the frick Sasuke is if Yukimura's on stage, but he's right there in the front row, cheering his head off)

Seriously though WHY IS YUKIMURA ON STAGE IN COSTUME STARING AT YOU

Ieyasu is pissed

Goddamn rookies messing up the show, fine he'll fix it

YUKIMURA, SUPER RED, HERO OF LOVE, JUSTICE AND THE SANADA

Ieyasu does not fix it

Because he did not count on Yukimura taking the being a hero thing so GODDAMN SERIOUSLY

Like okay wait how DID that happen

Turns out some kid lost their balloon and Yukimura practically LEAPT A BUILDING to heroically retrieve it

And while he did that, he thought he saw Saizo by the dango cart, and started yelling about how Saizo had a duty and he abandoned it and did he have no honor

And everyone thought it was part of a show

And everyone wanted his autograph

And the CEO was walking by and was like, hot damn, You, You work for me now as Super Red who broke his leg or some shit (the CEO probably scared him and he tripped)

(the CEO is Nobunaga, you know this right? Okay)

(Worth noting Yukimura's hella loyal to Shingen, but somehow ended up in the red suit anyway and it was to fight for JUSTICE so how could he say no seriously how could Yukimura Genjirou Sanada NOT FIGHT FOR JUSTICE)

(Somewhere Saizo is rubbing his temples in dismay)

OKAY BUT ANYWAY

YUKIMURA, AS SUPER RED, IS GONNA RESCUE YOUR DAMSEL ASS

(You still have some feminist issues with this, but the damn poofy dress is hard to move in and you're still trying to not fuck up this show, for Ieyasu-the-super-villain-is-scary reasons)

ANYWAY

OFFICER, I SWEAR THIS ISN'T WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE okay maybe it is but it was an accident, honest

Yukimura's slightly overzealous efforts to RESCUE YOU sort of fluster you

And you trip over your dress

And knock over the scenery

The scenery that was ON FIRE if you remember, for effect

SO, WHOOPS.

Ieyasu is just like, fuck this, fuck you, fuck your cow, I'm out.

Shigezane is kind of like, laughing nervously but yeah Imma peace out too, good luck you two

There's a lovely passionate moment there where you're pinned under Yukimura watching the flames ficker in his eyes, transfixed,

Aand then fear for your IMPENDING, FIERY DEATH sort of ruins it

As does the police officer hauling him off of you

He is PISSED

He is also Mitsunari, so like, pissed is kind of his default?

He asks for your employee IDs and, hahaha, of course, you don't have any because you aren't employees

And now he is HELLA SUSPICIOUS

You look at Yukimura

Yukimura looks at you

AND YOU RUN LIKE HELL

But you almost lose him in the crowd because you are in a giant poofy princess dress

So he scoops you up, SUPER RED IS RESCUING THE PRINCESS, LOOK EVERYONE

MEANWHILE, SASUKE

Super excited about being unsupervised for like thirty seconds

And then Saizo's and comes down on his shoulder

Like yeah no, kid.

Where have you been, Sensei?

That is not important, look a dango cart, let's go get some

FUGITIVES

So you are running and gaining all kinds of attention

What time is it, like idk 11 AM maybe

You're kind of hungry but that's not the point right now you are RUNNING FOR YOUR LIFE

Or well, Yukimura is and you're kind of coming along

You may or may not have pretended to be animatronic participants on a ride

And accidentally ended up in the Haunted Stately Manor

And you screamed your head off when a prop jumped out at you so Mitsunari found you again

There was ferris wheel climbing and compartment jumping too

Anyway you run and run and it's finally getting quieter because you've made it to one of the corporate retreat areas WAY IN THE BACK of the park

By this time it's like one in the afternoon

Yukimura is like not even out of breath, but he tucks you in a conference room and promises he'll come back with some normal clothes for you okay?

You're just relieved to be somewhere quiet so okay

I SHOULD MENTION

Inuchiyo has straight up called in a Missing Persons report on you

You have no idea he's done this

You're dealing with other shit right now, okay?

THE RECLUSIVE EXECUTIVE

So you're sitting there, in a now-torn-dirty-less-poofy princess dress in a conference room in the back of an amusement park

And the tiara fell off and you just…it's been a long day (night?) and the tiara was beautiful, and it was just so nice to be a princess for thirty seconds and--

You're entitled to a few tears, you are, it's been a freaking whirlwind

So you indulge in some sniffles

And there's suddenly a handkerchief sort of awkwardly offered to you

OH SHIT

SOMEONE IS HERE

YOU YELP

HE DOES NOT YELP BUT HE JUMPS LIKE A FOOT

And looks at you in TERROR

This doesn't help your mood okay, you do not need to be reminded that an hour ago (or a few?) you were in a super cute outfit, and now you haven't washed your hair after manning the grill all night, you've been practically set on fire, and this pretty poofy dress is torn, and dirty, and singed, and you lost the most beautiful tiara in the world and set scenery on fire and UGH

He is still offering you the handkerchief

But like, from as FAR. AWAY. AS POSSIBLE.

Like that's the most important question for him, not why one of the princess actresses is using the corporate conference room kitchens

Because Kojuro KNOWS WHAT'S IMPORTANT

Anyway Masamune has to get back to his meeting, but Kojuro will be back soon so just hang tight and wait here

Speaking of, Mitsuhide has to go talk to the press about the burning castle from the live show

(No one was hurt btw)

(only casualty was your dress)

(Maybe Ieyasu's pride but it was already wounded from having to do the show in the first place)

So he leaves, and asks you to please consider it

And Officer Hideyoshi is just like…okay, follow me please *smilesmile*

And the next thing you know he's leading you to the door out?

And thought it was fucking hilarious that the princess burned down the entire supervillain's castle like come on that's GOLD

AND then one of his business partners came and was talking about how awesome the cinder princess was, and this particular business partner never speaks at all, let alone positively about someone

Except he can't be seen as lenient

So while can't officially condone SHIT because it would look like mercy and he is not a man of mercy, Nobu did make some offhanded remarks to his head of security

And Hideyoshi is now interpreting them accordingly

IT'S A GODDAMN HELICOPTER

LANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF GODDAMN MOUSE WORLD

Shingen would like to point out that the proper word is piloting and it's cool, he likes this particular toy, he'll drive it

Kansuke says that isn’t necessary sir, please sit back down.

And Yukimura is there to pull you in--and if you lose your glass slipper, and Hideyoshi picks it up to twirl it thoughtfully as he watches all of this, well, that's how these stories go

And Sasuke has mouse ears on and is snoring against Saizo's shoulder

By now it's like 5:30 PM

HASHBROWNS

Okay but wait HOLD UP SHINGEN if YOU HAD access to a multi person helicopter this whole time WHY THE HECK DID YOU DRIVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY IN AN 18-WHEELER WITHOUT SEATBELTS

You don't get an answer because whoops sorry can't hear you over the wind

Like maybe he forgot or something

He has a lot going on okay

Yukimura helps you get out and Sasuke is already bouncing towards the door like he has been here before and Shingen too

Sun is setting and your breath is just stolen, it's beautiful?

"Yes yes, it's lovely little lady, you can see it from inside"

So you are sort of shuffled inside and sure enough floor to ceiling class and THE. MOST. GORGEOUS. PINTEREST-WORTHY. KITCHEN. EVER.

And you realize

That laid out on the counter

At are all the ingredients

For HASHBROWNS

And you just totally lose it.

Absolute, hysterical giggle fits

Sasuke is worried about you, like, are you okay can you breathe?

Shingen isn't, come on Sasuke help me set the table and Yukimura run and get us some good sake to enjoy with this feast

And it's just you, laughing until your sides hurt in the most beautiful kitchen you've ever seen, and Saizo

Where did Kansuke go he was just there a moment ago, he is not now.

And after a moment, Saizo produces your apron (which you’re sure you left in the department store), and ties the strings around your neck, over your princess dress, because you are one of them now

Shingen has already plotted out your salary as corporate caterer and you can hear Sasuke in the other room talking about going up to a be an awesome cook just like you and Yukimura asking if one of Shingen's businesses is going to start serving breakfast

And you're just in love. You're in love with all of it, with the kitchen, with them, with the sheer insanity, and you've never been happier

"By the way little lady, aren't we forgetting something?" you notice something in the pocket of your apron vibrating and it's your phone--wait didn't you not have that, how did Saizo…--and OH SHIT

SORRY INUCHIYO

YOU AREN'T dead or kidnapped please cancel the Missing Person alert

Was that you on TV being carried up the ferris wheel?
