As much as we like to make jokes about Peerless Cucumber's analysis and comment history ("Luo Binghe isn't going to fuck you, bro"), I think a lot about his comment that like Luo Binghe just kind of goes along with whatever his wife du jour wants; he's never really into it and none of them actually seem to care. Like it's very telling and kind of heartbreaking that in a timeline where Luo Binghe receives even a drop of the love, affection, and protection he so desperately craves, he not only fails to collect a single wife but also doesn't even really form any kind of relationship with any of these women
#please feel free to ignore this#I'm reading SVSSS#MXTX deconstructs the 'stallion novel' by turning it from a male power fantasy#into a manifesto about male loneliness and emotional disconnection#The only 'wives' who really know Binghe are *checks notes* his martial sister and martial cousin#+ they don't end up crushing on him at all they do their own thing (and the novel shows us how much better their lives are because of it!)#Thinking constantly about that tweet that's like 'SVSSS is the most problematic novel about gender' lmao#In the timeline where Luo Binghe is loved and feels like he comes first for anyone (even if he only feels secure in that briefly)#he uh doesn't need feel the need to fuck every chick and fight every dude he makes eye contact with#and I just think
