Sorry for the late response but u have no idea what a bitch it was to find and pull all of this crap together!!

I don't actually too often draw my Ocs, I actually write about them more and sneak them into fanfics that'll never see the light of day. But I have a few diagrams I made so I could picture them in my head when writing them! They're normally not rlly completed (that's why the drawings of Chinatsu and Kikuko were so lackluster,,, and there was no way I was gonna show Yuko that girl looked like she was mauled by a raccoon) and all my Ocs revolve in some way around Sasuke bc the brainrot is strong with this one.

My main Ocs are all meant to be mentors to Sasuke. I made them all canon compliant, so they all die in the og story but in the plot of the main fic I'm plotting like only the elders and police force were murdered (everyone say thank you Sakura!) So Sasuke still has the opportunity to learn about his clan and their techniques. This is also a thinly veiled excuse to create lore for the Uchiha (for Sasuke)

This is Kotone!! (IK IT SAYS NATSU IN THE LEFT ONE BUT ILL GET BACK TO THAT IN A MOMENTTT) She's my victim I use to practice pixel art! She's seen the absolute worst sides of me (My Danagonranpa and Mha phase...) omg her design has changed SO MUCH over the years its not even funny. Her name used to be Asuna, then it was Suna, then it was Yuri and then we arive to now. It may as well just be four different characters cause the designs aren't remotely related but eh.

Shes the receptionist at the Uchiha police force and she got her skull absolutely crashed in!!! Horrible concussion- actually ruined her. She cannot handle more than two people talking or she'll disassociate, which was actually an issue she had before but the trauma of watching her friends die and then getting trapped under rubble for 6 days straight with no food,,, uh it fucked with her a little ill be real w/ u.

Despite being a bit ditsy now shes actually very intelligent. She teaches Sasuke how to Integrate Genjutsu training into everyday life (the little Genjutsu creatures she made are what kept her entertained and remotely sane under the rubble) she always casts these little spirals around her, it annoys most people in the clan but Sasuke thinks its fun (and Kotone loves him for it) they also help her manipulate people since they're very very vaguely hypnotic.

She also plays the Flute. But she's not the one who teaches Sasuke about that!!!!

ABOUT THE NATSU THING!!!

THATS ACTUALLY TECHNICALLY HER PREVIOUS INCARNATION, AND MADARAS OLDER SISTER (OK ik that in canon Madara and Izuna only have brothers but leaves me alone i don't care!!! I swear this is like the only thing I changed from canon.)

SO THE REASON THE OUTFITS LOOK DIFFERENT IN THE TWO ARTS IS BC. THEYRE TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. Anyways Natsu died saving Izuna from getting kidnapped. Thats how he got his sharingan 👍 (I SWEAR ILL TALK ABOUT THE REINCARNATION IN A MOMENTTT)

The ginger one was her first version, Asuna. And the one with buns is Suna, she came with me thru my danagonranpa phase. Which tbh wasn't actually a phase i just moved her over to danagonranpa to be friends with my friends oc. Shes was the ultimate florist. Her eyes are actually green but she thought green was an ugly colour and injected her eyes with ink. And somehow. She's not blind?

Also!!! Kotones eyes are still green. Her father is only half Uchiha and she got her green eyes from her grandmother. But she's embarrassed about it so she hides it behind her hair.

Shes the head priest, her main place of worship is Susano's shrine, but she also actively prays at Tsukoyomi's and The nine-tails shrine (just to make sure when he inevitably breaks out of the 5-year-old he'll have just a little mercy on them!)

Alsoo it says she communes with the dead in her chart there, not dead humans, dead Uchiha (thanks to her) are reincarnated into different body's, so she wouldnt really be able to meet them. And if she did then she'd perform a ritual on the spirit to allow it to pass on to a new body. She just likes to hang with the dead rats and birds sometimes.

She teaches Sasuke about the clans culture and God's, she also gets him interested in blacksmithing and poisons. Exclusively because her knife is very pretty and also very dangerous.

THAT REMINDS ME!!! Not pictured but the shirt-dress she's wearing has built in gloves. Not a germaphobe but in her line of work touching anything with her skin is usually very very disrespectful or very very unsafe.

Shes also got dogteeth and plays the harp expertly. These facts don't affect the story whatsoever.

Theres a third character, Isuzu, she teaches Sasuke how to play the Ocarina. But uhh... she hasnt got a design yet. She has black hair. Uh. She mainly plays the flute. She doesn't have legs. Or well, she has one thigh. Sne lost one and a half legs in the massacre. It was her fault, really. She was trying to protect her sickly and dying father from being murdered. Pftt what a loser! I know she has that typical high collar Uchiha shirt. But uh I don't know about the rest of her outfit. But I think it would be cool if she had earrings that were vials with poison in them.

Yeah, I dont know much about her yet. I haven't gotten to writing that part of the story yet... if anyone wants to help with her design I welcome you.

AND NOW WE MOVE ONTO KIKUKO!!!! Our perfect little lady. She's a nurse and is decently main to the plot,,,

Anyway she teaches Sasuke that actually healing people is very cool and actually epic. Which Sakura backs up, but based on past experiences Sakura is not. Trustworthy. So he needs family to confirm what she says.

There's not actually too much to Kikuko bc her whole character isn't centered around her clans culture, and she actually fights against Fugaku in favour of Konoha (She only does that bc she's co-dependant w her gf and doesnt want to leave her but shhhh)

Uh she's actually pretty far removed from her clans culture (Thanks a lot for that Chinatsu,,,) but she's still very religious. Her main God she prays to is Amaterasu.

i like ranting about my own works, so have a bunch of little details about the universe of how to not die young, basically just some small little canon things i like (some may be written & some i might not get to adding,) (psa, some are silly & happy and some are very much not,) (another psa, there is no major spoilers in these,)

yes so actually ive spent like the past few years having like private pridebaru and greedbaru playlists to myself so i decided to finally refine them and add them to spotify yep <3 notes under cut.

yeah so in general i tried to have a balance of songs about subaru being Unwell and Not Having A Good Time and songs about subaru being A Horrible Person for the ultimate listening experience👍also if youre not a japanese speaker i once again recommend looking at the lyrics for the japanese songs because theyre very good lyrics ok.

so about greedbaru playlist!!! this is based on the greed if ln by the way yes so the playlist is roughly in order of the events going on there.

"inevitabilis" to "guns for hire": subaru accepts the contract with echidna. also yes i used "a sadness runs through him" again it is like. the quintessential ifbaru song for some of the ifs yes. looked in the wrong place for redemption and all that.

"circles" to "leech boy": greed if's arc 4 happens and everyone is Miserable now <3 "our word" is subaru learning to Gaslight and Gatekeep from echidna. "hole-dwelling" by kikuo marks um. that one scene in the greed if ln where subaru kills dream echidna and then has a mental breakdown over that. yes. "evil angel" is subaru capturing meili. you can probably read the "angel" in the song being either echidna, subaru, or elsa.

"are you satisfied?" and "literary nonsense": arc 4 is over yay!!! surely everything will be fine......

"bitter choco decoration" (by syudou) to "no body, no crime": nvm nothing is fine. this is the arc where clind tries to destroy subaru but subaru. Retaliates. so to speak. "sunset lover" is just referencing subaru's save scumming... "this kingdom is mine" is subaru figuring out the culprit killing him is clind.

"your obedient servant" and "someone gets hurt (reprise)": ottosuba divorce. otto leaves subaru.

"everything stays" to the end of the playlist: subaru establishes the official greed if emilia camp by manipulating felt into leaving + reinhard into joining the faction yay!!! "anger" and "drywall" is in reference to subaru punching a wall remembering otto. and its also referencing greed if subaru having "good" days and "bad" days.

this playlist is a loop if you compare the last two songs with the first two songs.

pride playlist!!! its shorter but still a banger. in my honest and nonbiased opinion. also genuinely i listened to a lot of these while writing pride if fanfic like two years ago so thats also why theyre here HAH.

Hey friend, I am absolutely rotating the HECK out of Hunger AU rn. I just binged all of the tagged posts and I'm going FERAL! Watchers being like parasitic wasps? Listeners being like fungi? Absolutely based takes.

I'm very much a fan of the emotional realism going on and I'm so terrified of Angry!Mumbo. Like. Bro doesn't get all that angry that often those folks are the scariest properly pissed.

And I relate far too much to the Search Party tbh. Something about the themes of mental and physical illness, wanting to help but not knowing how, the one you want to help not wanting help at this point, the resentment that causes on both sides of that stalemate... yeah I've been there.

Also, I am insanely curious about the ecological niche that Watchers and Listeners fulfill. Like. There has to be a reason they are the way they are. I'm insanely curious about what the environment they evolved in looked like, and even more curious as to what they provide back to the universe in return.

Like. Irl most wasps are predatory insects, controlling the population of pests and invasive species, but the tidbits you've given us about how they feed on emotions and the groups they feed on put me more in mind of, like, herding dogs. Yknow? Does that make sense? Gathering players together and moving them away from half abandoned worlds to let them dissolve back into the greater code. Maybe interviening in virus-infected worlds or virus-vulrable worlds, encouraging those players to move or perish.

And Listeners, well, fungi occupy so many diverse niches they could do just about anything, really. It's very fun to think about and I am rotating them vigorously, thank you for feeding us so well <3

This is such a sweet ask i am so 🥺🥺🥺🥺 abt it, im really pleased that you're enjoying the emotional realism ive committed to for this fic, because thats just such an important aspect for me-- my goal here is to depict a deeply emotional, moving, and messy situation about illness and recovery where no one's feelings are punished or demonized by the narrative. Its just so, so important to me that the Search Party (and later on, the other hermits) get their emotions properly respected and explored. Its not just about Grian, even if he is the ultimate focus-- everyone else deserves varied, emotional responses to an ugly and terrifying situation where theres hurt on all sides. This is the kind of realism i love putting in all of my writing, and the kind of justice i want to do for all characters in stories like these!!

Its a little funny how this au originally started with me brainrotting absently about Watcher biology because i wanted to explore the idea of Grian pretending to be an avian and finding certain aspects of it deeply uncomfortable. And then it just. Snowballed into this!! And now i am chewing on worldbuilding for breakfast DKXNSJDJ im really glad you enjoy the Watchers and Listeners lore!!! I need to make a proper post on Devs (or dev crystals, as theyre actually called), as well as general code structure, bc they are both so fucking cool as well

I absolutely love your herding dog analogy, and its giving me some great ideas because for the longest time i couldnt quite figure out what exactly a Watcher's ecological niche was beyond predator to Players and prey for something else that's extinct. But now im really looking at the connection between Watchers feeding habits and Players' biological need for play (or dreams, if you want to get into the minecraft end poem of it all), and theres something there that i really wanna take some time to tease out before i give a concrete answer. I need to update my hunger au masterlist LOL i am saur behind 😭

hey just doing my due diligence and letting ppl know that i deleted most of the old concept art off of my da, with a few exceptions (primarily the jdau and in their shadows series), and also deleted a bunch of old fics off of my ao3, including the hunted & caught series and most of my long hs fics. so if you go looking for something and its not there, my bad, that was me.

okkk so all of this assumes the awakening characters were placed in the pokemon world and not vice versa… though. i will admit the thought of medieval fantasy owain running around with a pikachu does entice me a little bit. but thats not what i wrote down. another time maybe. also this is all from like. me three or four years ago mid pandemic suffering from two brainrots so if anyone has suggestions i am so down. i just like my little guys having little guys :) no time travel bullshit either what if they were all happy

ok so for lucina i gave her absol, dragonite, beautifly (THOUGH WE COULD SO CHANGE THIS TO YLISSEAN VIVILLON… ANON ILYYY), froslass, aegislash, and poliwrath :) i have a couple notes written down for everyone, so for luci… absol was definitely a gift from chrom. her first pokemon and she found it in the wild and he was like “are you sure… arent those things kinda bad omens?” but it was so cute she insisted and it became her best friend forever. she tried to grab her aegislash by the hilt when it was a honedge and it terrified everyone around her she never did it again. like how olivia gave inigo an oricorio egg (written with chrolivia in mind… lmao), i think she’d give lucina a dratini egg (SHE HAS A PINK DRAGONAIR. DO YOU HEAR ME) that lucina definitely evolved fully. absolutely the type to have a dopey faced dragon like aww. well on her way to becoming champion

for owain i gave him ampharos, alolan raichu, druddigon, carnivine, excadrill, and throh and if im so honest with you guys i do not remember writing down half of these. anyways this mf absolutely had a pikachu but because hes not ash, he evolved it. he had no idea it was gonna get a surfboard tail but by god is that not the coolest shit ever?! all of his pokemon are insanely protective of him (his carnivine did absolutely try to bite inigo’s head off once after a few jabs… they dislike eachother) and owain teaches them all cool battle poses. his pokemon all know pretty basic moves but hes renamed all of them (thunderbolt is now some shit like sky piercer 3990 from the ultimate heavens!) and he only did it to look cool at first but it is a legit battle strategy that throws off his opponents. kudos to him!

gave inigo primarina, oricorio, altaria, rapidash, breloom, and cinccino. he threw a fit when chrom caught lucina a cool pokemon and not him (he was like. three years old 😭 he did NOT need one) so when he WAS old enough, chrom came home with a pretty little fire horse for him. hes also ass shit garbage at type matchups so i dont think he battles, he is a performer :) or he tries to be. guy who vomits everytime he has to go on stage… he practices dances with them, but until he’s ready to join his pokemon on stage, he takes part in pokemon coordinating, which yes is STILL scary but the attention isnt on him so. he manages.

brady has a polteageist, audino, chansey, scolipede, stoutland, and mr mime. he and maribelle found a sinistea in the wild one day when he was little, and he cried so bad because he thought it was just a teacup until a WHOLE ASS GHOST game out of it. theyre besties now but maribelle teases him about it a lot. stoutland was his family’s pet but maribelle insisted he take it with him to keep him safe (he cried a lot that day too). he doesnt battle much but he’s taken part in a few contests alongside inigo and cynthia, though he secretly just wants to be a pokemon nurse.

gave kjelle mawile, mienshao, hawlucha, bastiodon, excadrill, and mudsdale and they are all female. she takes great pride in her girl power team. mudsdale was a gift from her mom but she. she cannot ride. dont even ask her she will not. when she trains her pokemon, she trains alongside them, and was sorely disappointed when she grew up and found out the trainer was not allowed to fight in battles either. alas. she and gerome are constantly battling eachother. his edgy darkness team vs her girlies. yes. definitely gonna become an elite four member one day but she’s taking her time.

severa has a milotic, tsareena, houndoom, braviary, hitmonchan, and a lycanroc (night form). her mom got her a feebas one day from fishing, and severa got so fucking mad because it was SO UGLY. but she as she traveled around with it, it grew on her, and it evolved she cried real tears. one time cynthia got her to compete in a contest, but she submitted her houndoom into a cuteness contest and got pissed when they told her it didnt meet their standards of “cuteness” (they were so wrong for that…). her mom currently has a seat on the elite four which makes her feel a bit pressured to live up to her battling talent, and she throws a fit whenever she loses a battle (which isn’t too often but when it does happen… 😬)

cynthia got galarian rapidash, goodra, manectric, tropius, sirfetch’d, and volcarona. she challenges inigo to rapidash races and wins every single one of them, horse girl that she is. she loves her sirfetch’d because he reminds her of her dad, but also kinda hates him because he reminds her of her dad (frederick!cynthia btw… hehe). she’s genuinely pretty talented at battling but in her eyes contests are way cooler because it’s just your pokemon doing a bunch of cool ass stunt shit!! are you kidding me?!?! do you know where her flower entrances would shine?!?! CONTESTS. but she’ll train with owain and severa when they ask. but severa gets kinda annoyed when cynthia cares more about looking cool than actually trying to faint her pokemon (embarrassing when severa loses…). is the most fascinated by mega evolution because what do you mean your pokemon unlock a new cool state only by having a close bond with them… are you kidding… she’s not too caught up on pokemon science but she bugs laurent for information on it when she can. her manectric can and WILL mega evolve (i didnt check if that was one of the painful megas… lets hope not!)

gerome has a salamence, hydreigon, zoroark, bisharp, noivern, and a trevenant. he is a frequent listener of whatever piers’ band is called. his team has a very clear weakness to fairy type pokemon and it bothers him greatly. it bothers him more that kjelle doesn’t shut up about it. it bothers him even more that inigo’s primarina could sweep him. he’s working on it. he typically travels on his own, not really because he dislikes other people, but his pokemon scare a lot of people off. the first of the group to get eight gym badges and no one knows when or how that happened (though, it’s pretty easy to get from city to city when half of your team can fly you anywhere you want)

had f!morgan in mind for this, and she got a camerupt, klefki, grimmsnarl, escavalier, beheeyem, and porygon 2. i didnt really take into account pokemon stats, but she absolutely tries to use trick room shenanigans. klefki has nothing to do with that though, that was a cute gift from robin and it was also a mistake. that fucking key disrupts their household so much… she loves it though. her pokemon all take after her a bit, being a little… mischievous, lets say, with camerupt basically being their only saving grace. she sees owain’s special moves strategy (read: “strategy.” he never meant for it to be a viable tactic) and starts to do the same. watching them battle eachother is… hard.

laurent got a vanilluxe, alakazam, rotom, delcatty, mismagius, and an umbreon. he’s not too into battling, he does more lab work than anything. his mom is a member of the elite four, but that’s mostly so she has an elevated platform to share their findings. still, being her son has taught him pretty good battle strategy, so he’ll do it for fun every now and then, and to test his own research. he has a rotomdex but its actually useful, being able to function as both a dex and a pokemon, letting him assess his opponent on the field (which!! is probably not fair!! but like… i dont think he cares). unfortunately that comes with a drawback of rotom being able to talk, which it does. a lot. more than it should. miriel caught laurent a misdreavus while on an expedition, and it is very dear to him (same hat?? SAME HAT!!). he also prefers special attackers, and he tells everyone it’s because special attacks are more efficient due to the lack of contact required, but that’s not true. he just thinks its cool.

i gave noire a banette, decidueye, shedinja, mimikyu, froslass, and golurk. she is an unintentional ghost type specialist due to the curses her mom placed on her—they’re just kinda drawn to her. unironically one of the strongest trainers here but you wouldn’t know it by looking at her. she’s kind of scared of all her pokemon, but they wouldn’t harm a hair on her head. she found banette when she was a little girl in a random ass parking lot, and it’s been her bestie forever. it beefs with tharja, but deep down, tharja was happy noire had a companion. she’s legitimately a good trainer, but she relies on severa for help because she’s always scared she’s doing something wrong.

yarne has a kangaskhan, buneary, whimsicott, dubwool, azumarill, and furret. his buneary does not want to evolve, so he will not make it! got an everstone and everything, but if it really wanted to it could (theyre best friends!!). he doesn’t like watching pokemon faint, so he stays away from battle when he can. he ends up forming an interest in pokemon care and breeding, which takes him a while to get used to all the strange new pokemon he has to work with, but once he does he’s pretty good with them. he spends a lot of time with laurent and helping him with his research and also making sure it stays ethical. sometimes laurent gets too much in his own head… inigo once tried to rope yarne into contests, but if you thought one guy with anxiety was bad, well. two does not make it go any better. no i dont know how being a taguel would work here dont ask

nah got a charizard, haxorus, tyrantrum, flygon, kommo-o, and kingdra and yes she did that intentionally. she loves dragons!!!! dragons are cool!!!!! her charizard has the X megastone and she now gets to shove it in everyones face YES HE IS A DRAGON. shut up! her and gerome bond over their mutual struggle with fairy types. all of her pokemon are way taller than her (i dont buy this shit about charizard being small. shut up) and it frustrates her a bit but it is quite amusing for her for her opponents to not take her seriously based on her appearance, only to be curbstomped by six gigantic dragons. she doesnt have much strategy, truly, she just overpowers the enemy until she wins. good for her! what’s a status move

my favorite thing about thinking about pokemon is that i eventually get to thinking “what pokemon would my fav guys have” and its so fun. i wrote out a bunch of teams for the awakening second gen like three years ago that i should probably fix but i know i gave inigo a cinccino but specifically one that pissed him off all the time by tail whacking him whenever he flirted with woman a la brock’s croagunk. his mother gave him an oricorio egg from her own. noire has a bunch of ghost pokemon and she is completely terrified of all of them but they adore her. yarne does not fight ANYONE he is a pokemon breeder. right? right. lucina has the most pretty beautifly anyone has ever seen ever

Psychology and Literature are literally my 1st and 2nd option, but i went with my 3rd option which is comeng (shocker, i wanted to be a game developer but all i ended up with are dead braincells)

But yeah when i finished writing my brainrot i was like "fuck this doesn't sound like kavetham anymore" since at the time i couldn't think of a way how kaveh could enter here (since i legit do not know anything about his character other than being broke and acting like an old married couple with alhaitham) (also i didnt know we had similar brainrots so oops)

Anyways adding to the brainrot, i just checked the wiki and "Stark defender of the arts" caught my attention. Like the possibilities this just opened, like what if while the reader was being ridiculed by the sages for the nth time, and the reader being fed up with it is on the brink of tears but at the same time fuming with rage.

Then kaveh who just happened to be passing by heard everything from miles away, defends the reader from the sages, and before the sages could rebute kaveh takes their hand and run leaving behind the sages who could only do was shout threats at them for being disrespectful.

Once the cost is clear he asks the reader if theyre ok and helps them calm down, he could ask more about their topic as a way to help them get the incident out of their mind. The reader seems hesitant but gives in cause he really seemed to be interested, so they give in and reader ends up rambling to kaveh the whole day and they get into a flow where they talk about the arts, and at the end kaveh can also be the one that says to not let the akademiya to crush their dreams and to follow what their heart wants.

They part ways after that and after receiving kind words and advice from someone, who they didnt know but was genuinely interested in their topic, the reader thinks for a long time before they ultimately decide to leave the akademiya.

After you dropout, Kaveh who was busy with his thesis tries to look for you, out of worry and out of fondness, he wants to ask you if you were doing better now and seeing how you were passionate for art like he is he wanted to befirend you, as it probably isnt everyday you get to see another student so passionate about a topic the akademiya deems as "foolish"

Only to realize he didnt ask for your name, so he goes around the akademiya to ask if anyone knows you and where he can find you, he then talks to one of the readers classmates who goes "Ah them they havent attended class for weeks now, betting they dropped out or smth after all seeing from their thesis paper they didnt have what it takes to be in the akademiya"

Kaveh literally has to keep himself from punching the living daylights out of them, cuz excuse me wtf, but he leaves right away after not wanting to get into a fight, leaving with a pang of regret for not meeting you earlier but also he's happy that it seems that you have atleast followed what makes you happy.

Bonus: Alhaitham heard everything, thought it was a shame you left the akademiya but it was your own free will, but what got his attention was fhe snide remark your classmate said, normally he wouldnt care about this things, but this time its different and he makes a mental note to sure to make it a hard time for the said classmate during their stay in the akademiya (he's a menace you cant tell me otherwise)

Now I see where the artistic reader came from (and where all those Kaveh x Nilou shippers popped up from) and huh it really does make sense, but now after several inputs I think I got a good grasp on the reader for the poly Kavetham now - but the thought of Alhaitham messing with the others, man if this was on the canon timeline, imagine the shit he can do as the temporary sage

MAAM YOU ARE GIVING ME A PASS TO RAMBLE WHICH I THANK YOU BUT I APOLOGIZE BECAUSE HOMESTUCK BRAINROTS BEEN ON MY MIND RECENTLY ALSO ITS GONNA BE SUPER LONG AND MOSTLY GRIAN CENTRIC

ok so ive mostly been thinking about how the other 2 life series (+100 hours just for fun) are involved into trafficstuck which led me to something more or less like the sketch below but ALSO how they actually started playing the game

i posted it before but after some revision i changed 3l!grian and hc!grians places which MEANS that the reasons of why dl!grian and ll!grian masquerade as rust bloods change/get swapped aka dl!g hides his identity as to not be recognized as the descendant of The Deserter/3l!g (a controversial figure in this alternias society and history, the former emperor) while ll!grian, in a similar sense, to not get found out as the descendant of The Vanished emperor, took the sign and spectrum placement of The Aviatrix (a beloved historical figure in this beforans society) without knowing that he and his ancestors are the exact same troll

SO in both sessions both grians dreamselves (derse dreamers) are awake before anyone else and both get tricked by this aus Horrorterrors aka The Watchers, outer gods residing in the furthest ring that reach out to those who dream on derse and that, unlike the homestuck horrorterrors, like to get involved in their players lives even before the game sessions start. how do they get tricked? dl!grian gets shown visions of his pre!scratch selfs life (aka hc!grian) with promises that this could become what he and his friends could have if they play the game, meanwhile ll!grian gets promised freedom, an escape for he and his friends when it comes to their faiths once they reach maturity (theyre expected to take on the roles their ancestors used to have, none of them are really Thrilled by this and grian is the least so seeing as he and his supposed ancestor have 'no relation whatsover'). in both cases tho they both accept at the price that when the session is done/won/lost they will give themselves to The Watchers, think kinda like what happened to rose when she went grimdark but also Not Really (this also ensured the existence of the dream bubbles for both sessions)

tbh i also wanted to go a bit into how the ll!session was more or less a doomed, unwinnable, glitch-filled session (think how homestucks game over timeline got by the end of it, also the boogeyman curse was one of the major glitches fucking them over) which caused grian, scar and joel having to escape to the dream bubbles before the glitches (and the watchers in grians case) caught up to them but also led to scott (the time player) to technically be the last one living of the session and having to be the one to start the scratch while also ultimately escaping into the dream bubbles BUT this post is already long enough so yeaaaah

One of the things that Sunny found so frustrating about the violin is that his was constantly out of tune. No matter what he did by the end of practicing it would be back just ever so slightly off and the notes would be sour instead of sweet. His tutor was sympathetic, but she wasn’t sure exactly what was wrong with the instrument. She decided not to look to deeply into it when it even happened with a different violin that she had Sunny use on a whim, and then another when she wanted to test her theory. It wasn’t the instruments, and it wasn’t anything in particular that he was doing wrong, she had taught him how to hold the violin herself. It was just....something about Sunny that made the instruments go off key. In the end Sunny just adapted and would change his fingering as he went along, but it was just one of those things. 

For her eighth birthday all Mari wanted was a furby. All of her friends at school had one, and she pleaded with her parents for it. Her dad thought it was a creepy toy, but he would deal with it if it meant making his little girl smile. Well...he would deal with it except for what happened two weeks after Mari’s birthday. He came home and heard noise from upstairs. When he got there he saw Sunny sitting on the ground laughing at Mari’s furby. He was going to sneak in and surprise his son with a hug, but he paused when the furby started to talk. 

Sunny’s dad knew it was a feature that the toy had, but a person had to talk to it first. Sunny had been laughing at first but then he was quiet. And it wasn’t speaking in english. It was some gutteral strange language that didn’t recognize anything he had heard before. He decided against spooking Sunny and announced his presence, picking up his four year old son and walking them both downstairs. That night when both children were asleep, their father came into their room, took the furby, and threw it in the trash can down the street. 

In spite of all of Sunny’s oddities, he didn’t actually get bullied a lot in school. This was partially because of his friendship with Kel who was a well liked and popular kid, partially because Mari and Hero were both usually around to watch over the younger kids, and partly because the kids all instinctively knew not to mess with Sunny. 

Only a few kids had ever tried and they all had bad things happen to them. Chris Lowter in the second grade had made fun of Sunny’s lack of speaking and he ended up with bronchitis the next day that was bad enough he couldn’t speak above a hoarse whisper for three weeks. Jenny Hargenson in the fourth grade teased Sunny about his “creepy” drawings, and when they went to art class the next day, all of her paintings were covered in red paint that half the class swore was blood. She of course blamed Sunny, but there was no evidence. Sunny never even acknowledged either incident happened, and the other kids in town just knew to leave Sunny be. 

Most of the town was aware there was something...odd about the boy, and so they also were a little wary of Sunny. It wasn’t as if they gossiped like their children did, but if the topic came up everyone agreed that the child was strange. It was even more bizarre because they also all knew his lovely older sister. After Mari died a lot of them felt very guilty for ever thinking badly of Sunny, especially when they saw how deeply he grieved over her loss. After that the townsfolk went out of their way to try and be kind to the quiet and odd but ultimately sweet young man.

GASAAHHHH THAT OIKAWA RANT WAS SO LONG IM SO SORRY BUT HERES SUGA (more like just comparing suga and oikawa but that’s ok ALSO none of this makes sense i hate it here bye) ;—;

honestly, ima be real here - suga was one of those people i instantly fell in love with. it was like the polar opposite of how i felt about oikawa (i’ll get to that in a moment.) i saw him and my heart went !!! and i loved him! there’s no other way for it. i classified him as the sweet boy of karasuno, and in some ways that is correct. but OP’s analysis of him has me thinking (as everything does LOL) and now, looking back to every scene that includes him, i slap myself for not realizing sooner just how AMAZING sugawara koushi is.

once again, like OP said, sugawara is so so quick to dismiss his own needs and jealousy. when it comes down to himself and the team, his ability to completely erase himself from the situation is.... frightening. he is able to put the needs of everyone else before his, which is, in some cases, good, but also uhhh- definitely not lol. which honestly brings me back to oikawa (UGH ik ik i cant shut up about bitchboy).

oikawa and suga are introduced in haikyuu as two completely different people. which- they are! but the difference in them is prominent to a viewer who has never seen either before. while suga is introduced as this warm, optimistic person who’s ready to help his team, oikawa is introduced as...well, the villain. he’s the big boss everyone needs to beat. with almost everyone i’ve talked to, they’ve admitted to loving suga and hating oikawa at first. but they’re similar!

both suga and oikawa have dealt with the force that is known as kageyama. kageyama has always been that presence in their mind that irritates them; suga is more lowkey about it, while oikawa is obviously very vocal and external in his responses. but both feel overshadowed by their junior, which i find hella interesting - because they both seem to dislike each other when competing in the spot for nationals. kageyama is the thing they share in common- but! the way they approach it is the key in how their characters differ.

sugawara takes kageyama’s appearance as a challenge, but ultimately gives up. he comes to the realization that, for the better of the team, he should sacrifice his sets and his hunger to win. oikawa somehow becomes more self-centered when kageyama comes into the picture. he is more power-hungry and anxious to win and prove himself, rather than back down.

IDK MAN. suga just makes me realize just how lucky some of us are to be where we are right now. sugawara koushi is probably one of the most selfless people i know, yet he’s also so,,,, how do i put this,,,,, ambitious? he is also always searching for more, but in a TEAM. he is so so so supportive, always reaching, always being the one ppl can fall back on and he guides them to where they need to be. he seems firm in his resolve that he can be that natural leader that yes, does have mom qualities, but also can be a bit harsh and a bit impulsive in his actions. he sacrifices and some people don’t even realize it. and yet he ALSO keeps going, no matter what, just like oikawa (yet probably not as fiery lol)

so. if i’m being honest. they would be best friends lol THIS WAS ALL JUST SO MUCH BRAINROT IM SO SORRY I HAVE SUCH STRONG FEELINFS ABOUT THESE TWO BUT NONW OF IT MAKES SENSE I JUST WANNA GIVE THEM BOTH BIG HUGS AND TELL THEM THEYRE DOING AMAZINF —🧸

again, i love how you phrased all of this because yeah! Suga and Oikawa both have to deal with someone more talented than themselves, they just both go about it in a different way and AHHHHH i fuckin glove it because there isn’t one “right” or “better” way. it depends on who it is and all of that. 

AND ALL OF THIS IS ALSO WHY I LOVE SUGAWARA KOUSHI SO MUCH. PLEASE.
