#The variations of Dipper's body don't really matter to Bill when it comes to their marriage

Hi! Sorry for the long ask, I have a couple questions based off an excerpt from your most recent short on the cult! AU:

“…though this body’s a little shorter than he prefers. He’s gonna be so pick-up-able! It’s gonna annoy the hell outta him.”

It’s been shown that Dipper and Bill’s bodies may change each reincarnation (though bills by choice), and in the excerpt the main difference body wise is Dipper being a little shorter. But there’s the mention of it being shorter than he prefers. I think I’m just being a little dumb here but is this Bill or Dipper that being referred to? Is Dipper not a fan of being on the shorter spectrum or is Bill all for a taller Dipper?

Also I know Bill doesn’t really mind what assets Dipper might come with because he’s in it for Dipper and his mind… though he has stated multiple times that he is super into Dippers body. Even as a passing joke he’s mentioned how good Dipper would look with flesh eating mandibles, and I wouldn’t put it past Bill to actually be into that a little. But I’ve always had a guilty indulgence for taller Dipper. Like he’s still on the awkward skinny side, but at some point he ends up growing into the pine tree nickname.

So I’ve been wondering what Bills response to that would be. Would he be bummed that Dippers not as pick-up-able? Or would he fully lean into the short king persona, constantly making tree climbing jokes, etc.? Maybe Bill would be into Dipper being taller than him because he gets a power trip outta making someone taller than him kneel. Bills the king of weird and constantly has an ego boner so I wouldn’t put it past him to have some weird kink like that.

Does he even have a response at all? Would he just gloss over it? Like his mortal is back and hot as ever, who cares that he could give the Lakers a run for their money? Maybe Bill will make his body even taller just to one up Dipper in a competition that Dipper doesn’t even know their having.

Just something that I’ve always kinda had in the back of my mind, and when I read your newest short I just had to ask.

Side note: I Love your works on Ao3 as well, I reread them ALL THE TIME. Personally, even if hell freezes over and you stop writing billdip stuff, please keep writing in general because you have a talent for it!

Dipper's body is shorter than he himself prefers. It gives Bill a terrible advantage in games of keep-away. Not to mention the manhandling.

But if Dipper incarnated taller than Bill - oh, he'd hope there was a chance to gloat about it. His stupid husband seems to love looming and teasing, surely there's an opportunity there. That he, for once, could have something to hold - literally - over Bill.

And yes, there would be a response. Not a major one, because Bill doesn't put too much stock into physical form! But also not the one Dipper hoped for.

Given the novelty of a Tall Dipper, Bill would look right up at the guy and declare himself Short King. It has king in the name! He could have a crown made! All the 'climbing a tree' jokes, or literally climbing the guy! Make Dipper carry him on his back and direct him like a mighty steed! Not to mention the sexy lumberjack costumes he could wear as a gag! There are so many opportunities for fun!

All in all, a Taller Dipper is a notable but not significant event in their relationship. Bill considers it yet another fantastic flavor in the variety of his mortal's forms.
