Media trope I personally despise beyond reason is when there's something really unnatural happening or a big conspiracy that doesn't make sense and then it just gets explained away at the end like "oh it was all a dream/character was dying" or "they were in a simulation". Like no stop please. Let the scary 5th dimension monsters be real and let the crooked cult leader actually brain wash all those people out in the desert. Let things not make sense please cause you're just hurting the story trying to dumb it down at the very end to something easily explained away. I don't need it to have a reason. Just let this fiction world have aliens or time pardoxis. I don't need to know where they came from.

#This is about don't worry darling that came up on netflix #I thought it was really good until the end #Spoilers btw #But like the ending was just really disappointing #Like just let some rich dude have his cult in the middle of the desert #She could've just made it out into the middle of the desert and someone outside of the cult find her or she could've sent a distress signal #The tension just disapates the moment they say it's all a simulation #People would've known and would've went to check on her #She was just in her apartment with her shitty husband #She's literally a surgical doctor so assuming she'd be on call #Someone would be looking for her very quickly #But if they actually dragged her out to the middle of a desert and miles away from modern society with no way of contacting the outside #And no one could actually find her or the other wives cause they just went missing one day #That would be so much more terrifying than the idea of her really stupid husband somehow managing to keep it all a secret #There is no possible way that he would've actually been able to pull it off #If it was a simulation #They could just keep her from leaving anyways #They coded it #Just code it to where the wives can't leave #That's it #But if it was real and she genuinely escaped #Then there's the suspension of oh she actually got away but we don't know cause she could die in the desert or expose our huge conspiracy #The ending just seemed lazy and it really upset me especially with how good most of it was #They should've let alice be right about the poisoned food and the secret weapons #And the whole dying in the game equals dying in the real world AHHH #Literally vomiting and pulling my hair out and crying #Hated it and made me fucking scream #Like that's such a fuckin cop out it's stupid how explain it's so stupid #Don't worry darling #Don't worry darling Netflix
