I’ve been rereading the shadowhunters books and I noticed this! Just another small detail that makes me love Malec even more.

which means, canonically between October 2007 (when the Red Scrolls of Magic takes place) and May 2008 (when the Epilogue to the City of Heavenly Fire takes place), Alec learned constellations for Magnus to be romantic.

This element may prove to be the strongest supporter of Magnus's claim as THE sugar daddy of the shadowhunter chronicles universe title, seeing how he used to overcharge shadowhunter on their business (deservingly so), and now he is willing to do all kinds of crazy shenanigans without an ounce of money. Whoever's in charge of the Clave's budget better send Alec the biggest, freshest, most expensive fruit basket

In conclusion, this research paper does not provide a definitive answer to the argument but encourages readers to draw their own perspectives. But how could he confess to Alec what he didn’t remember? And how could he tell Alec secrets that had the potential to make him a target of the Clave, like Hypatia had said?

Idc what you say, but that one scene from Ghosts of the Shadow Market where the Leader of the Shadow Market in Spain says that the power in Alec's ring comes from the heart of hell and Alec proudly says "𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮. just one to draw attention to this subtle scene in the red scrolls of magic that honestly doesn't get appreciated enough

first, it's the perfect setup for later events in trsom when magnus gets confronted with his past, through the cult, shiyun, and asmodeus, and finds that his past doesn't define who he is or who he can love. it's just the past.

and this is still in line to be one of the funniest and most outta pocket things magnus ever thought up. like dude robert threw a knife to your head 20 years ago and now he's not that bad cause you're horrifically gone for his son? lmaooo

then saying without love miracle could never come and literally follows it up by kissing alec hand and saying robert couldn't be that much of a monster if he raises alec. alec is literally the miracle harbored by love from a potential monster. to magnus, alec is his one in a lifetime miracle

also if u think about the fact that magnus sees himself as the demon offspring of asmodeus and how he killed his stepdad and made his mother kill herself. he thinks of himself as a monster that ruins everything. and yet, here he said, if a monster love something, someone enough, a being so pure and full of goodness, they couldn't be that much of monster after all. if a monster met his miracle, maybe there's hope

can't stop thinking about how pure and precious magnus and clary's friendship is, she's the first child he had watched grow up, he protected her so many times like. that's his biscuit 🥹 and clary literally went to edom/hell TWICE with no hesitation bcs magnus was in danger. they are so very dear to me.
