#The fact that Tommy doesn't know this is a crime against humanity

Okay here's the first irondad snipp I ever wrote (there is def some Tommy vibes since that was all I'd written before this BUT they are like the same person anyway so--)

"I think you should really reconsider your choices of joining a gang, and think of maybe joining a bathing club or something. Those exist right?"

The man doesn't even acknowledge Peter's attempt at a joke, instead swinging at him with another punch, that Peter easily dodges. His gun had been taken by Peter awhile ago, and his stamina was quite frankly depressing. He was panting hard, which meant Peter had to breathe in the stench of his breath, on top of the terrible body odor.

"Ugh, scratch that. You do know what a toothbrush is right? More than 80% of dentists reccomend Colgate. Maybe try that brand."

"I'm gonna," the man heaves, hands on his knees as he catches his breath, and okay this is getting a little sad, "rip your tongue out and feed it to my dog, so I can never hear you talk again."

"Yikesss, that's not nice for your dog. What kinda dog wants to eat human tongue?? Feels bad for your dog."

This time the man opts to scream as a response and charges Peter, who is honestly done with this at this point, so instead of dodging, he shoots him with his web and wraps the man up in it like a cocoon. He also takes care to web up his mouth because man, no one deserves to smell that breath.

Peter looks to the sky, and much to his dismay, it is still day. There isn't even the beginnings of orange tinging the sky to signify sunset, and man today is going to be a long day.

He guesses he could go and try to see what Ned is up to, but Peter's pretty sure he's working on a really important project, and he doesn't want to bother him with it.

Peter sighs heavily. "Karen, I don't know what to do."

The ai responds to him rather quite promptly, "You could always head back to the tower. I'm sure Mr. Stark would pause whatever he was doing to see you, if you wanted him to."

And yeah. That's what Peter normally does, when he's having a slow day. Today though, he's trying to avoid it, considering the fact that he shouldn't be patrolling at all, and he's sure that Mr. Stark would be onto him the minute he saw him. Peter isn't sure how he always seems to know. One time he even took a shower before going to see him, and he still knew. It was probably Karen's fault, though he made her swear not to tell him.

"I know Karen. It's just..." He trails off with a sigh, shooting a web and pulling himself up. He starts to swing through the city aimlessly, still unsure of where to go, but wanting to move away from the crime.

"I'm sure Mr. Stark would be happier to see you than not, even if you have done something against his wishes."

Peter cringes. "You didn't have to phrase it like that Karen."

"How else would I phrase it?"

"I dunno, just not that."

There's silence for a bit as Peter fights with himself. On the one hand, he really does want to see Mr. Stark. He hasn't seen him since right after the accident, and he quite frankly misses hanging out with him. On the other hand, he really does not want to hear a lecture about how he shouldn't be patrolling so soon after his injury.

Uh oh.

Guess he doesn't have a say in the matter anyway.

"Uh, hi Mr. Stark!" answers Peter as cheerfully as he can, trying to find a decent roof to land on.

"Hey Pete, I was wondering if you--" Mr. Stark cuts himself off. "Is that wind I hear?"

"Uh yeah, it's just super windy where I am right now," Peter says, chuckling nervously. "It's honestly crazy how windy it is. There are definitely going to be some fallen trees tomorrow."

Mr. Stark is silent for a moment before, "You wouldn't... happen to be patrolling right now, would you?"

"Whaaaaat? Noooo," Peter winces as he hears a car blast it's horn, "that would be entirely irresponsible of me. I would never."

"You know I can look at your suit's cameras and see what you're seeing right now, right?"

"Obviously, but you're not because you trust me full heartedly and--"

"Peter."

Peter sighs. "Okay, so maybe I went on a five minute patrol. But it's super dead today! I was literally about to head to your place because of how bored I was. You can ask Karen!"

"That doesn't matter Pete. What matters is you just came out of a serious fight with several injuries. You shouldn't be throwing yourself back out there!"

"I know Mr. Stark."

"We agreed on two weeks. Two weeks! You know most people would need a whole month, but Pepper and Happy reminded me about your enhanced healing, and I said fine. Fine! Two weeks. And how long has it been?"

"...A week."

"A week! You know, I was going to call you and ask if you wanted to go to Ben and Jerry's with me, but now--"

"No, Mr. Stark please! I won't go again for the next week, I promise."

"And how good was your promise this time?"

"I double promise. Triple promise! C'mon Mr. Stark, please? I really wanted to see you today."

"Kid, you can still come over," he says, sounding a bit appalled at the idea that Peter couldn't. "You can always come over. You know that by now."

"...but can we get ice-cream?"

Peter tries his best to give puppy eyes, even though he's unsure if Mr. Stark could even see him.

He hears Mr. Stark mumble some vague curses before, "Alright fine. But if you do this again, I swear to God--"

"I won't, I won't!"

"Okay, now get your butt over here."

Peter giggles a bit. "Okay. Bye Mr. Stark!"

"Bye kid."

There's a beep to signal the call ending, and Peter makes sure to swing by his backpack on the way to the tower.

All the while, Karen is strangely quiet but Peter has a sense she's feeling downright smug.

Peter ignores it though, in favour of focusing on his excitement for ice-cream.

I see your tweet about how the CCs are afraid of making their characters villains and antagonists, and it made me remembered something.

When C!BBH was telling a newbie about the server, he talked down about C!Tommy, and then he showed his character being sad about C!Dream's treatment (ie abuse) during the prison. The most rabid and annoying fans started calling him an abuse apologist!

Like, his character doesn't have any implied history with C!Tommy... nor does he know about exile and what went on. But he does have a history with C!Dream, and he was a guard at the prison and knew what C!Dream was going through.

It was just... yikes.

some parts of the fandom are quite literally holding on to the "ctommy is the main character of the dsmp" idea with their TEETH. and that means any character that sides with cdream, sides against tommy, MUST be the worst guy ever.

Now, he and his mama were never really religious... but he definitely knew what demons were.

He loves it when he's approaching a group of unaware, clueless campers and he overhears them telling campfire tales about the Demon of Camp Crystal Lake that's said to roam around; tall and foreboding with a tail that resembled a snake.

Jason respects the fact that you only target/want to target those that actually deserve it. Though, to him, much like to his mother as well, practically anyone who sets foot on the campgrounds deserves it - but he understands that you're only going to go after those who've done something truly terrible. You know, those boyfriends who can't seem to take no for an answer, the girls who seem to know a little too much about what happened to their friend who's missing - you know the type.

Actually really likes to see the various ways you're able to chase down and ensnare your victims! Whether you happen to be inhumanly fast like he is, or if you have some form of otherworldly abilities that you use to your advantage, he loves to see what you come up. Jason's a pretty creatively sadistic guy too, you know.

Just don't get hurt. Despite the fact that you're a literal demon, it doesn't change the fact that you're still his s/o and he does NOT want to see you hurt.

Bubba Sawyer

Lowkey does scare Bubba a bit at first. It's not you - it's just.... you. A demon, definitely scary! But he warms up to you very quickly, evidently, as you two become partners, once you show you're not going to hurt him or his family and that underneath that hellish exterior, you're actually very kind.

Partners romantically and, inevitably, in crime. Your tall intimidating stature is perfect for helping him guard his home against any intruders there to hurt you two and his family.

He's happy that you want to help out! Though like Jason, he does worry about you getting hurt - but he knows you can take care of yourself, especially given the fact that you're not exactly human. He's happy you want to help out keeping his family and his home safe from intruders and the bad people who want to try to trespass.

Bubba definitely would like to play with your tail if you let him. If you two were cuddling in bed, sat together on the couch, at the dinner table... he'd love to gently twiddle it in his hands. He's very gentle!

If you just so happen to be taller than him, Bubba loves this. He's so very used to having to be the one doing the protecting, so having someone who's taller than him who he can feel safe with (even though he'd still be there to keep you safe, too!) means the world to him.

Thomas Hewitt

Tommy is, maybe surprisingly, almost.... apathetic to it.

It's not that he doesn't care, but Thomas has already seen and been through so much shit that it takes a lot to really phase him. And you? A demon, sure, and boy does he worry about how Hoyt and Luda Mae feel, but first and foremost you're his significant other. Demon second. He loves and cares for you the way you are.

Tommy knows he already scares pretty much anyone and everyone outside of his family and his family's immediate friends, so he's sympathetic to the fact that you probably scare the shit out of everyone that lays their eyes on you. Not him, though!

If your abilities extend to super human strength, he's very pleased. Thomas is an absolute mammoth of a man who can, and does, very regularly haul grown men around with ease, but he's human and does get tired and occasionally run into a particularly heavy or hard to handle victim. Having someone around who could help, especially his significant other, would not only help him, but what a nice way to bond!

Considering the fact that you're a demon, it's not too farfetched to assume you've seen sights that would upset/scare/disturb humans, and because of this... Tommy trusts you with seeing his unmasked face earlier than he would had you not been a demon.

Not to bring Tommy up in a discussion about Dream but like,,, this is exactly what happened post-exile with Tommy.

During exile, most fanworks portrayed Tommy as a weak, traumatized mess who cried whenever he was touched, clung to the first person giving him comfort, and some fanworks portrayed him as having to be carried out of Logstedshire by either Techno or Phil, as they were the most popular "savior" figures. And before the Bedrock Bros arc happened, people who wrote post-exile fic seemed to portray Tommy as someone who was not just healing, but getting better as a person, i.e. not destructive, not annoying, never truly angry or vengeful or violent, as if Techno's presence alone was fixing him.

And you can see people projecting that onto the Bedrock Bros arc as well, people constantly talking about how kind and considerate Techno was, how Tommy seemed to be doing so well, how he's healing and getting better and everything, and... I'm not saying they were unilaterally wrong, but it's only AFTER Tommy made the choice to leave Techno that we truly saw how toxic their dynamic was. Techno consistently lied to him, encouraged him to be angry and violent and vengeful, and worked REALLY hard to turn Tommy against Tubbo. That's not to say that being with Techno wasn't helping Tommy, but... I mean, "better than exile" is a low fucking bar to clear.

Meanwhile, that soft, woobified version of Tommy just... isn't really true. Tommy did become quieter and more eager to please, but only ever cried once. On the whole, Tommy was numb, almost completely apathetic, and was quietly prepping for the day he was going to kill himself. He was desperately trying to stay positive, but slowly failing as the abuse continued and his condition got worse.

He was also genuinely mean sometimes, displaying some really ugly sides of PTSD. Rude and violent just to feel something, driving everyone away by insulting them or screaming at them because he'd been convinced that everyone was just using him. This wasn't helped by Techno, who encouraged Tommy's violent impulses and tried to get him to believe that L'Manburg was always against him and that Tubbo was never his friend.

The difference between Tommy and Dream is that, on the whole, Tommy wants to be a good person. He wants to do the right thing, he wants to ensure that his friends are safe and happy and he wants that safety and happiness for himself too, even if that means he has to sacrifice his own goals and ambitions. Meanwhile, Dream doesn't care about whether he's a good person, he doesn't really give a shit about people's safety and happiness (as evidenced by the fact that he, you know, abused a child), and he's willing to go to any length to get his way, whether that means child abuse, murder, terrorism, blackmail, or any other crime against humanity.

When Tommy said "the discs are worth more than you ever were", he realized in that moment that he'd been going against everything he stood for. He was becoming exactly like Dream, putting his personal convictions over everything else, even his own friendships and the lives of those he cared about. That was the moment he decided to walk away from revenge, keep his priorities in check, and instead work to improve the lives of those around him.

Meanwhile, Dream has never done anything that goes against his personal convictions. If Dream had a "the discs are worth more than you ever were" moment post-prison... it wouldn't be a realization. It would just be him staying on the same path he's been on since the start of the server. In fact, he's already HAD that moment with "I don't give a fuck about Spirit", and it didn't change anything other than ruining Sapnap's trust in him.

Expecting Dream to have a healing arc with Techno and be all traumatized so that he can be slowly and painfully nursed back to health is just not going to happen. Dream will definitely be changed, but it won't be for the better. One of the central messages of the Dream SMP's story is that suffering doesn't make you a better person, and I don't expect them to suddenly start reinforcing that message now.

Like, we've made this mistake before. It's just the exact same cycle. And I get why people do it, I've done the same thing, because we want our faves to be happy and characterization is hard. But like... Please realize that a c!Dream redemption arc is just not gonna happen.

I love the dream prison angst but sometimes it makes me feel weird how excited this fandom is to redeem (?) dream y'know? Like I've seen so much "dream gets softness and love from everyone after prison because he's broken" where as for wilbur it's a lot of "I hope when he gets resurrected he gets yelled at by all his loved ones and c!fundy spits in his face" and the word "irredeemable" getting tossed around

What gets me is how people assume that Dream’s prison trauma means he’s going to stop being himself. Like, he’s going to have a total personality shift, his goals and values are going to change completely, he’s going to be reduced to nothing but a quivering helpless lump of trauma with no agency or agenda. Somehow there’s the idea that when he gets out of prison he’s not going to continue doing everything in his power to reach his goals.

In essence, people seem to be assuming that his time in the prison will actually teach him the error of his ways.

He’s still Dream, y’all. He’s still the man who decided that returning unity to his domain (and regaining control) was more important than anything else, including his beloved friends, his relationships, any of his personal desires, and his own moral code. He does not stop. He pursues his goals with obsessive singlemindedness. He’s faced setbacks like this before, though not on this scale, and every time he found a way around the obstacle, even when it seemed impossible. He plays the long game. There is no reason, even as his mental state is crumbling, to assume that he will stop playing the long game.

The thing about the prison is that Dream knew what it would do to him. He knew it was built to break people - he designed it that way, after all. And I believe he knew he would be no exception.

I think that Dream, right now, is... lying low. He’s regrouping, in the worst possible conditions, but still. He’s recovering what few resources remain to him. He’s recovering himself. It’s just like after his first great defeat, the birth of L’Manburg. He went into a sort of hibernation back then, retreating and letting the events of the server develop naturally while he tweaked them ever so slightly in his favor every chance he got. He acted like everyone’s friend.* He waited for his opportunity. And that’s what he’s doing now.

(*Important to note: it wasn’t exactly an act. Part of why Dream wants the server united is that he genuinely likes and cares about its people. He wants what he thinks, in his twisted way, is best for them. Also, his philosophy and attitude towards the others have changed over the course of the plot. There was a time when he genuinely was willing to let L’Manburg exist, when he really did just want to be friends with Tommy. Dream’s moral decay parallels Wilbur’s. Both of them started out wanting to build and guide something greater than themselves and ended up being its greatest enemy.)

To be clear: I’m not saying that Dream is faking his trauma, that everything is an act to gain sympathy, anything like that. It’s absolutely real. There’s no way it couldn’t be, in those conditions. Man is legitimately falling apart. But I do think that he’s... playing it up a little. As much as he can.

Dream is falling back on his oldest and most effective tactic - being underestimated. His own patheticness is one of the few assets he has available to him right now. Whether he has a concrete plan for getting out or not, it’s always a good idea to make sure your opponents think you’re weaker than you are, even if the difference is just the barest thread of mental stability. So he’s letting all the weakest parts of himself out to play in full view of everyone - the parts of himself that never stopped loving his friends - while in the corner of his mind he keeps planning and tallying his resources.

And even if he stops being able to that, he will never stop pursuing his goals. Because that’s who Dream is. That’s right down there at the core of his soul. Whoever he is when he gets out of prison, whatever that person wants, he’s going to get it. Or he’s going to destroy it and himself trying.

The damage being done to Dream is absolutely real, and it is serious. And it’s going to turn out badly for everyone. Because whenever Dream suffers a defeat, the end result for him is always that his goals and the things he’s willing to do to achieve them get more ambitious, more controlling, more awful. Every time he loses, it clearly means that he needs to do more. I have no idea what a defeat of this scale is going to do to him but I know what it won’t do. It won’t make him into a person who accepts defeat.

There's a huge number of people wondering why we allowed them to have a cloning like this frankly he was pushed into it but we knew what was going on and why and it got out of control and it got very out of control and we survived it and we can't do anymore of these special projects but we see why nope no he knows no we don't see why and it happened after Melissa and it was the princess and it caused a lot of damage to the women it was by force and forced us to. There's a huge market for it now the knowledge on how to do it and the more lock are not going after people we know and they should but Tommy f is which is not bad huge numbers of people are getting attacked by these clones.

They're on the offensive because of their actions and activities they're being very rude to everyone including our son do they need I'm going to crush them here I don't want them around he's more like her hell and they're awful but these clones are worse in many ways much worse as a matter of fact that they're much worse no matter what you do than Army an organized and they're against us and they just sit there saying it because they're idiots.

We know the ship we announced the ship on the East Coast and they noted it was below the cavern and thought it might be close and a sunset probably very close and the ship is about 200 miles down and it's about 100 miles deep and we know where it is it's not very far away and we're not going to let him back in and we're not going to put anything in there and it's part of their plan the clones to try me in DC and the others were starting to pick it up there plans to get rid of the max they got rid of Tommy have kids and the clones of his kids and they ruined his life and they killed all his friends he's got nobody his father tried to help him and he got hurt doing it but my phone's and they took his body and coming crimes when people using Tommy f's body and they insist on doing it to our son my son's been fighting them and passively that's done any hitting on them like they say and he has been fighting robot people a lot harder and they know about it and they think they escaped.

They're huge groups at the tunnels to go to the planet core huge.

Very weird about it you know they're in a lot of trouble there's a huge War over the cavern it's massive and we're not going to give it up and they can't get to it they're going to try and retake the shot at home in the ocean and it's time for us to call Poseidon and goddess wife and Uriel and Goddess wife Salazar and got his wife and of course Aquaman and goddess wife and no you didn't tell him the character name yet.

Where where that they're going to keep trying because it's very deep there it's for 500 miles down and they don't dig that deep and they really don't dig too deep to begin with 300 miles down and then they go across and mostly the tunnels are not already done but there's big cameras they filled in and it's not hard digging right there but once you get past that 300 miles it's difficult and it's hard rock it'll take them a long time they say they have to so they're going to continue to try and dig there and New York City and DC and it's a huge War below and they can't tell if the emitter is working or not or just gathering energy and emitting it tons of them are fighting.
