Hi i had a book idea once for Satybhama. The wip has been abandoned since 2021 but here you go. I wrote this in 2021.
The Great War is over. My husband, Krishna, has left the earth. Dwarka has sunk, and my sons and grandsons have perished in the civil war. Some of my sister queens have jumped into the fire and the rest have busied themselves in meditation in various corners of this forest where I live. I can’t find them though.
Tall trees and thick bushes are the only things my eyes can see around. There is absolutely no human living beside me or in my vicinity. Here, the only edible items are fruits and tubers, which taste heavenly. Some years before, I would have grimaced at the mere thought of living on fruits in a forest due to my upbringing and royal status. It never fails to amaze me how time changes everything. A city once ruled by a tyrant is brought down and a city built by the finest of architects gets submerged under a sea getting lost to time and history forever. Time is indeed the ultimate killer. No one can escape it.
I am currently sitting under a Neelmohar tree. Maybe it is their growing season, for the tree is filled with purple flowers. Many of them are lying near my feet. I pick one and gently rub my thumb across one of its petals. The colour reminds me of my purple saree, which Krishna had gifted me, and the flower’s softness reminds me of the saree’s beautiful texture. The saree must be in the seabed now, drifting along the sea-waves. Bhadra loved that saree and would shower me with compliments whenever I wore it.
Dwarka — my second home, where I have spent almost all my life, now lies under the sea, hidden from sight. The once tall buildings where I once walked, the beautiful gardens where Krishna and I spent some lovely times, the archery room which Krishna had specifically built for me, everything now exists in my brain like an old dream. I do not remember how much time has passed since Krishna’s death and the submerging of Dwarka. All the time that I have spent in this forest has been devoted to contemplation about my life.
What is there to contemplate about my life? Do I contemplate about the riches I was brought up with? Do I think about the domestic tensions of my household? Do I wonder about the coming Kali Yuga?
There is so much to think about. What did I do in my life? What will happen once my soul leaves my body? Will someone mourn for me? Will I find Krishna smiling with his perfect rosy lips and pearly teeth in the afterlife? Is there even something beyond death? Wise men say that death is not the end, is it not? These are philosophical questions that Krishna would have answered had he been with me here. Now as I am talking to you, I wonder about my memories which appear in front of my eyes as if belonging to an old dream.
I see my childhood self, running on the corridors of my father’s home with my friends. The scene changes where I find myself aged a little older — I am probably fifteen there, I think. There is a bow in my hand and I am assessing the target ahead. Once again, the scene changes and I can see a marriage ceremony followed by the war and the end of Dwarka. But memories resurface again as if asking to look beyond the mundane. I can hear a voice inside me, whispering, ‘There is more to your story; you must go through it all.’
Now I see something else. There is my father’s house standing tall and proud, and a little girl is playing in the mud while looking at the flower bushes in wonder. I see my mother in a temple where I ask about the goddess Durga. My childhood memory flutters away and my teenaged form arrives. I am young, curious and hot-headed. I am travelling alone in Mathura where I see the exact condition of the people residing. It is pathetic. I see myself now as a wedded woman in the kitchen chatting happily with my sister queens about the day. Now I see my lord, my Krishna, putting flowers in my hair while we talk about the sea. He says, ‘Water when demure nourishes the land, bringing us delight and when water turns wild and frightening, it shall engulf all leaving not even remains behind.’
I realize everything. My life’s story does not start with archery, nor does it end with Dwarka. It starts with me being a curious child trying to understand nature and men, and my story is still incomplete.
“Who am I, mother?” I had raised this question once when I stared into a mirror for a long time, finding my reflection slightly different. I realize I never found the answer.
Who am I now? Who shall answer me?
My mother once told me that there are some questions whose answers lie within our hearts. One must introspect over it and they shall find the answer that has been hiding in their heart all along.
I can feel my heartbeat quicken its pace. My mind is busy with its chain of memories arranging themselves haphazardly. Each incident whispers its lessons to my ears and I feel overwhelmed. I want to share my thoughts with someone. Do you want to listen to me?
I will cease to exist after some time. Historians, poets, and scribes will write stories about me that will be read and heard by people across the world. Fame isn’t my concern nor my desire, for I have had a good share of it. The only thing that concerns me is will the Satyabhama in their scripts be me? How much of my life will they write about? What will they include and exclude? How much of my actions will be overdramatized if by any chance someone gains enough liberty to do so? My life story can even turn into a mythical story, and only I would know that I once existed in bones and muscles.
So before you read and hear about me, I want you to hear me speak about my life, Satyabhama’s life. Here, I promise you that I shall present my story with complete honesty. Satyabhama is my name, which means ‘beaming with truth.’ I promise to be true to myself and you.
Would you like to hear?
This is how it begins…

Dwarkadhish Temple: The Sacred Abode of Lord Krishna
Nestled in the coastal city of Dwarka in Gujarat, Dwarkadhish Temple stands as one of the most revered and iconic temples in India. Also known as the Jagat Mandir, it is dedicated to Lord Krishna, worshipped here as the "King of Dwarka" or Dwarkadhish. This ancient temple is not only a site of profound religious significance but also an architectural marvel that draws pilgrims and tourists alike.
A Glimpse into History
The history of Shree Dwarkadhish Temple is intertwined with legends of Lord Krishna’s reign in the ancient city of Dwarka, often referred to as the "Golden City." According to Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna established his kingdom in Dwarka after leaving Mathura, and the temple is said to have been constructed by his great-grandson, Vajranabh, over 2,500 years ago.
While the temple has undergone renovations and reconstructions over the centuries, it has withstood the test of time and remains a pivotal part of India’s cultural and spiritual heritage. The present structure of the temple is believed to have been built around the 15th to 16th century, showcasing a blend of Chalukya-style architecture.
Architectural Grandeur
The temple’s architecture is awe-inspiring, characterized by its five-storied structure built on 72 intricately carved pillars. The towering shikhara (spire), which rises to a height of about 78 meters, is visible from a distance, inviting pilgrims from across the land. The grandeur of the temple is further accentuated by the vibrant flag that flutters atop the spire, replaced five times a day as a mark of devotion.
The temple complex has two main entrances. The northern gate is called the Moksha Dwara (Door to Salvation), which leads to the main market, while the southern entrance is known as the Swarga Dwara (Gate to Heaven), which leads to the Gomti River. Pilgrims often take a holy dip in the Gomti before entering the temple, believing it purifies the soul.
Inside the temple, the central deity is a black-marble idol of Lord Krishna, adorned in rich jewelry and regal attire, symbolizing his royal presence. The temple also houses smaller shrines dedicated to various deities, including Lord Balram and Rukmini Devi, Krishna’s elder brother and consort.
Spiritual Significance and Pilgrimage
Dwarkadhish Temple is one of the four holy pilgrimage sites in India’s Char Dham Yatra, which also includes Badrinath, Puri, and Rameswaram. Thousands of devotees flock here annually, particularly during Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, which is celebrated with grandeur and devotion.
In addition to its role in the Char Dham, the temple is also part of the Sapta Puri, the seven most sacred cities in Hinduism. It is believed that a visit to this holy site grants liberation from the cycle of life and death.
Conclusion
The Dwarkadhish Temple is more than just a religious site; it is a living testament to India’s rich mythological and architectural heritage. With its stunning architecture, historical significance, and deep spiritual resonance, the temple continues to inspire awe and reverence among visitors. Whether you are a devout pilgrim or a curious traveler, a visit to this sacred temple offers a glimpse into the divine legacy of Lord Krishna and the ancient kingdom of Dwarka.

The Mystery of Dwarka: Deciphering the Secrets of a Submerged City
The Mystery of Dwarka: Deciphering the Secrets of a Submerged City
The [Mystery of Dwarka Nagri](https://gyansky.com/mystery-of-dwarka-nagri-found-dwarka-under-arabian-sea/) continues to fascinate historians and archaeologists, prompting endless speculation about the existence of a lost city swallowed by the sea. While the legend of Dwarka has been passed down through generations, the question of its authenticity remains a topic of ongoing debate.
Diving into the Depths of History
The story of Dwarka, as described in Hindu scriptures, paints a vivid picture of a magnificent city ruled by Lord Krishna. The city was said to be adorned with grand palaces, sprawling markets, and a sophisticated network of canals. The Mahabharata details the tragic demise of Dwarka, describing its submergence beneath the waves, leaving behind only fragments of its glory.
Unraveling the Clues: Underwater Archaeology
Underwater archaeological explorations off the coast of Gujarat have yielded compelling evidence that supports the existence of a submerged city. The discovery of stone structures, roads, and artifacts at depths of over 30 meters provides a tantalizing glimpse into the past, suggesting that a thriving civilization once occupied this region.
Examining the Evidence: Theories and Interpretations
The artifacts discovered at the underwater site are remarkably similar to those described in ancient texts, lending credence to the stories of Dwarka. Experts believe that a combination of natural phenomena, such as tsunamis or sea-level rise, may have contributed to the city’s submergence. The presence of marine life and coral reefs on the submerged structures further supports this theory.
The Significance of the Discovery
The underwater discoveries at Dwarka are not just about uncovering a lost city; they represent a window into a forgotten past. The exploration of this site holds the potential to unlock valuable insights into the history, culture, and technology of ancient India. The mysteries surrounding Dwarka continue to captivate our imagination, reminding us of the rich and complex tapestry of human history.

This topic like water ice, this aquatic ice is present in our world
This topic like water ice, this aquatic ice is present in our world.
It is because of this aquatic ice that the terrestrial surface of our earth is very safe to a great extent.
Otherwise, our earth would have been completely covered in water long ago.
However, sometimes due to the warming of our earth, a considerable part of the land level goes into the ocean womb.
You probably know, friends, that the very famous empire of Hindus, Dwarka Sea, was conceived centuries ago.
Where did the Dwarka Empire reside?
Dwarka
Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Dwarka
Considered the original residence of Krishna, Bet Dwarka was the old port during the ancient times of Krishna before the Okha port was developed in Dwarka.
Jam Shri Ravalji, head of Jadeja clan Rajput (Kshatriya) migrated from Kutch to Halar, established himshelf & set his throne at Khambhalia in V.S.1582 for some years it was his capital & new city in V.S.1596 named “Navanagar”.
Jam Khambhalia is the head quaters of the newly created formed Devbhumi Dwarka District which was carved out of Jamnagar district on 15 August 2013.The district consists 4 talukas : khambhalia,Kalyanpur,Dwarka and Bhanvad. The named Devbhumi Dwarka is derived from the famous Dwarkadhish Temple of Dwraka city which is one of the four holy places according to Hindu mythology.
Dwarka is believed to have been the first capital of Gujarat. The city’s name literally means the “gateway to heaven” in Sanskrit, as Dwar means “gate” and ka references “Brahma”.Dwarka has also been referred to throughout its history as “Mokshapuri”, “Dwarkamati”, and “Dwarkavati”. It is mentioned in the ancient prehistoric epic period of the Mahabharata. According to legend, Krishna settled here after he defeated and killed his uncle Kansa at Mathura. This mythological account of Krishna’s migration to Dwarka from Mathura is closely associated with the culture of Gujarat.Krishna is also said to have reclaimed 12 yojanas or 96 square kilometres (37 sq mi) of land from the sea to create Dwarka.
Dwarka was established as the capital in Saurashtra by the Aryans during the Puranaic. The Yadavas, who had migrated from Mathura, established their kingdom here when the city was known as “Kaushathali”. It was during this period that the city underwent rebuilding and was named DwarkaA friendly population of natives also prompted Krishna to settle at Dwarka when he decided, after fighting Jarasandha, the king of Magadh, to retreat from Mathura. The kingdom, also known as the Yaduvanshi empire, was established by Uugrasena, father of Kansa the then ruler and later Krishna flourished and extended its domainIt is said that Krishna conducted the administration of his kingdom from Dwarka while residing with his family in Bet Dwarka. The city’s Dwarkadhish Temple dedicated to Krishna was originally built around 2,500 years ago, but was destroyed by Mahmud Begada rulers and subsequently rebuilt in the 16th century. The temple is also the location of Dwaraka maţha, also called Sharada Matha/Peeth and “western peeth”, one of the four peeths (Sanskrit: “religious center”) established by Adi Shankaracharya.
As an important pilgrimage centre for Hindus, Dwarka has several notable temples, including Rukmini Devi Temple, Gomti Ghat, and Bet Dwarka. There is also a lighthouse at the land end point of Dwarka.
Archaeological investigations at Dwarka, both on shore and offshore in the Arabian Sea, have been performed by the Archaeological Survey of India. The first investigations carried out on land in 1963 revealed many artefacts. Excavations done at two sites on the seaward side of Dwarka brought to light submerged settlements, a large stone-built jetty, and triangular stone anchors with three holes. The settlements are in the form of exterior and interior walls, and fort bastions. From the typological classification of the anchors it is inferred that Dwarka had flourished as a port during the period of the Middle kingdoms of India. Coastal erosion was probably the cause of the destruction of what was an ancient port.

The initial excavations began about 100 years ago, in the 1930s, around the island of Bet Dwarka, located approximately 30 kilometres north of modern-day Dwarka in Gujarat's Jamnagar district. More excavations were carried out in the 1960s, but no definitive results were obtained.6 Feb 2023
Where is Dwarka where Krishna live?
According to legend, Krishna settled here after he defeated and killed his uncle Kansa at Mathura. This mythological account of Krishna's migration to Dwarka from Mathura is closely associated with the culture of Gujarat.
This was captured in the old Dwarka Palace or the Empire Sea with the passage of many years.
Perhaps due to such heat at that time the sea ice did not melt.
But these days we are facing this problem
This snow chain is troubling us a lot these days.

Dwarka Nagri Mystery Part 2: The real city of Shri Krishna found in the Arabian Sea
According to Hindu mythology, the city of Dwarka was established by Lord Krishna after he killed his uncle Kamsa and saved his parents, Devaki and Vasudeva. Krishna was forced to flee Mathura after Kamsa's death, as his other relatives were still plotting to kill him. He traveled to the western coast of India and established the city of Dwarka on land that he reclaimed from the sea.
The city of Dwarka was a prosperous and beautiful city. It was said to be made of gold and jewels, and it had many temples and palaces. Krishna ruled over the city from his palace, and he was a just and benevolent ruler.
The city of Dwarka was destroyed at the end of the Dwapara Yuga, the third of the four yugas in Hindu cosmology. According to the Vishnu Purana, the city was submerged by the ocean on the day that Krishna died. The reasons for the destruction of Dwarka are not clear, but it is believed that it was caused by a combination of natural and supernatural forces.
Some scholars believe that the city was destroyed by a tsunami or earthquake. Others believe that it was destroyed by a curse from Krishna's enemies. Still others believe that it was destroyed by the gods themselves, as a punishment for the sins of the people of Dwarka.
Whatever the reason for its destruction, the city of Dwarka remains an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. The ruins of the city can still be seen today, and they are a reminder of the power and glory of Lord Krishna.
Here are some of the possible reasons why Dwarka was destroyed:
Natural disasters: The city was located on the coast, and it was vulnerable to natural disasters such as tsunamis and earthquakes.
War: The city was a major trading center, and it may have been destroyed during a war.
Divine intervention: Some believe that the city was destroyed by the gods as a punishment for the sins of the people.
Climate change: The city was built on land that was reclaimed from the sea, and it is possible that it was eventually submerged by rising sea levels.
The exact reason for the destruction of Dwarka is unknown, but it remains a mystery that has fascinated scholars and historians for centuries.
