Jon in tma, as we all know: “Martin… you’re not… you didn’t die here, did you?”
Alice in the recent tmagp episode: “I was born down here and I’ll die down here”
All I’m saying is The Magnus Protocol has the opportunity to do the funniest thing right now

Ok so listening back over the ending of episode 25, Colin says at one point that he isn’t even sure if the thing listening is just inside the computer servers and it brings back a point my husband had thought of right at the beginning of Protocol.
He had mentioned that he wondered if they were really on the computers right at the beginning and talked about Jon and Martin being instead on a tape backup. I’m researching and listen to this…
What Is Tape Backup?
Tape backup is a data protection approach that involves storing digital data copies of primary data on tape cartridges or cassettes. Tape backups are currently used as secondary backups for long-term offsite storage of critical data that doesn’t need to be accessed on a regular basis. They are especially useful for archival and data compliance purposes.
They store on tapes … the tapes make an archive! The one type of Tape Storage is called DAT (Digital Audio Tape) is a storage medium that was initially designed for audio use but has since become a popular backup medium. This tape format has a storage capacity of 1 to 80 GB on a 60- to 180-meter tape.
Colin is right - they’re not on the server… they’re in an archive on tapes!
Here’s the website I found  https://www.nakivo.com/blog/tape-backup-overview/

I don't know what y'all think but let's be honest with ourselves:dying in a cycling accident is totally a Martin thing.
Like I love the character but I can totally see it: Martin on his bike swerving so as not to hit a pigeon or something random like that and getting himself right in front of an oncoming car.

Ok im a little late to magp6 busy day
But like
Celia has to be Celia from Archives right? And i dont just mean that in a grasping for straws wish fulfillment kind of way. I mean thetr is no way that is just coincidentally the protocol universe version of Celia from tma because if it was her name wouldnt be Celia. It would be Lynne Hammond, the woman who came in about a ghost and bullied martin out of his lunch money. She didnt start going by Celia until she had her name stolen from her during the events of season five. That said i was relistening to mag100 and mag190 and Lynne/Celia Archives doesn't really act anything like Celia Ripley, to which i would like to quietly point to the fact that she has already been associated with the stranger. Ling story short i do not trust her.
Also
"Oh, Sam. The sun is the enemy! It rules the world of light, but we who dwell in darkness feel only its wrath." Is giving so incredibly Manuela Dominguez i know it was a joke but i would like to point to my other post about Alice being Whatever The Fear Of/Desire For Darkness And Ignored Truth alligned
Calling it now Needles is going to get the Michael treatment and i for one can not wait
OH
Sam being almost disappointed when the recording was over??? SAM??? I am watching very closely.
Alright thats it thanks for coming to my ted talk

The thing about ep 65 (Binary) is that it was once of the truly visceral statements that most of the fans had deep reactions to, right? And I wonder just how much that influenced the writing on Protocol, because we know exactly how much it hurts. We know the pain that our guys must be going through, and we are all being rocked by the knowledge that, considering who writes the stupid podcast, our guys might never know peace. They may be destroyed, or are already destroyed (like the voices are the only thing left, and the web is using the voices for the same purpose now), or they may never escape. They may never hold one another again, or live happily ever after. And the fact that protocol starts with a warning feels like a dark omen. Like, Archives was a cathartic ending—it made sense thematically. But now we’re left with new stories, new plot, new fears… and I’ve made posts on what I think the new theme of Protocol is. But now we have to face the very real possibility that our two favorite characters, who deserve happiness and rest after everything… may be everything we wish to ignore as a possibility from Archives ending.

HEY SO. HEY. SO. hey yall. How are we feeling about today's magnus protocol episode? I. Need to ramble about this so SPOILERS AHEAD HERE WE GO:
Erm first off. Yknow how people have been saying "Oh Sam is like Jon!" Or "No no Colin is so Jon coded-" Silence. Gwen. Gwen is essentially this universes equivalent of an archivist. We're just also getting to see the rest of the archiving assistants pov. Not actually, because, the OIAR and the magnus protocol is ofcourse different and unique to TMA in its own right BUT THE PARALLELS GUYS. When we hear what's going down from Sam, Alice, Celia, and Colin's pov, it feels like what we would hear if we got to hear the TMA story more from other people in the offices POV. Like if instead of Jon being the main protagonist, we got to hear the rest of the archival team. I JUST. ALSO. INK5OUL- I kept getting flashbacks to when Jon went and interviewed Jude Perry. Parallels guys. Loved this episode quite a lot-

a terrifying thought would be what if Colin knows but just isn't conscious of it yet? with how adamant he was about not humanising the computer, about how no one else but him can fix the issue, how he has worked so closely with the software all this time and must be the one to take care of it. maybe over time hes picked up on the odd idiosyncrasies of the text-to-voice program. how sometimes they feel just a little too haunted by their own voices being made to narrate such terrible things.
or just maybe, how real they might be...

SPOILERS FOR TMAGP UP TO EP 21 AND ALL OF TMA
So I have a theory. What if ERROR is this universes Archivist? As in the one who completes the watchers crown?
So we can guess that ERROR has ties to the magnus institute because of it being there either in a lower level (or tunnels?) than Alice and Sam were on. But what if just before the turn of the millennium, the magnus institute was starting a ritual (probably the watchers crown) and ERROR was supposed to complete it like Jon did in tma? And when The Protocol was initiated, ERROR fled beneath the institute and Sam dropping the key allowed it to get out.
If this is the case than ERROR might be marked by all of the fears and when the ritual failed became like an amalgamation avatar of all of them.
Also I think ERROR is trying to protect the OIAR crew. Like it showed up and stopped Ink5oul from attacking Gwen and didn't follow Gwen when she ran (if I'm remembering that right)
This is really just an idea I had but I feel like it's quite interesting.

This is an odd theory regarding Celia having a son. She doesn't state how old he is only that his name is Jack.
Now this is gonna sound crazy, but what if this is Jack Barnabas?
My Reasoning is that Celia when giving her statement to Martin saw a ghost, a ghost that burned her.
What if it was Agnes?
The idea of Agnes' ghost reaching out to Jack's mother is so haunting to me
(I'm not sure how old Celia is but I'm guessing she was pretty young when she had Jack, for this to work)

Okay, real talk guys, the Chester = Jon and Norris = Martin stuff is a lot of fun. I would love to believe it. I pretend to believe it for my own shits and giggles.
I’m pretty sure it’s a red herring though.
I’m pretty sure, having seen the depth of thought put into The Magnus Archives, that they know exactly what will distract us enough that when they drop the real Big Bad it’ll be whiplash unlike anything.
Consider me distracted though lol I love my funky little computer gays

something so funny about the fact that Sam asks Lena if she “knows” and Lena responds with: “I can assure you I don’t”. Like girl we already have enough proof that you aren’t an Eye avatar like Elias you dont have to keep proving it to us

For Episode 22 case I don't believe it was exactly Jon and Martin speaking but, more that they are using the cases to speak through. I think the three of them are manipulating the system to talk for them. Jonah included ( if that's who Augustus is )
I think the message to be taken from this case or at least in part is there is the idea of separating pieces of self so possibly ERROR being The Eye separated from Jon or the idea that they separated and are now locked in a version of Windows.

So transforming into plants is a reoccurring theme so far... The dude in the garden, Newton's dog, Alesia...
At first I thought that they were being fed to something like a Venus flytrap that slowly dissolves it's victims but if something else is emerging... what could this mean?
Especially if there is a cult that actively promotes it via a forum then what could they be bringing forth? Is it a ritual?
Alesia says "she" had her eyes, so it looks like her so could this be the work of the Stranger? Or maybe even bringing forth their doubles from another universe Coraline style?
Also to mention that the first dude in the garden had just killed his wife and her presumed lover. Alesia mentions "bereavement leave" but she obviously hates her husband; could she have killed him? So whatever is happening it needs killers?
