i think traffic scott has crazy issues with his sense of self . i cant defend this at the moment but i feel it in my heart and also depending on how u look at his character i think there is canon backing

#which isnt to say self-worth issues by the way #i dont . hm #i dont know how i feel about scotts level of insecurity #but i do think hes draped himself in so many layers of lover/victim/hero/bestie/martyr etc that he wouldnt have a grasp on who he is without #labels like that and the behaviors they induce #i do think hes a catty gay guy . at heart . but i think even the way thats displayed is like . a front in a way ?#like . ok . listen to me #its like paint #scott his actual true self is blue . and then hes covered in so many coats of paint (the roles he assumes) of various different colors #and then you finish it off with another coat of blue . and its a different shade #but the base color is so far down that no one will really notice #CAN ANYONE HEAR ME . #FINALLY. TOOK ME TWO FUCKEN DAYS TO DRAW THIS DUDE #I made it way too detailed cause I wanted em to look fancy but I’m probably gonna simplify it any time I draw them anyway shfjgsg #i changed my mind way too many times trying tk figure out Colors for them. I’m actually happy with how this came out!!!!#if you squint the sash and jinbu is a reference to sailor HEHE.. I tried to make it stand out without contrasting too much so you can tell #-that it’s not part of Xins aesthetic more like a piece of him they carry around with them <3 they make me ILL #I should also mention they can’t nock arrows for shit. they just use em to stab and cut things apart hence the lack of a bow #it was left by one of the scholars before the island was abandoned so they were like ooh stabby stabby #I just realized I put braces on both their arms and legs but I’m too tired to do anything abt it. One more project finished, and it’s a coat this time!

It’s a lot (maybe a bit ridiculous) but super cute

There’s even a floppy muffin hat to go with it! It’s in the same fabric as the bows and has its own matching bow in the back.

Made this for myself but for some reason I’m not really liking this shade of green on me. I’m gonna test out some other different ways of styling it over the next few days. Hopefully it’ll grow on me...

Decided to do a redesign thingie of Fluttershy (well I woyldn’t entirely say redesign; more of my own spin on designing her)

I took inspiration from her G3 counterpart, as well as her rainbow power form from an episode of Friendship is Magic

I had a lot of fun designing her ^^ I’m thinking for her personality and interests, I would take aspects of both her G3 and G4 counterparts, like her being a photographer (mostly taking pictures of plants and animals), as well as animal care. I could also see her being a painter on the side (she mostly does realism of landscapes, albiet with her own twist (using pastel colors and giving them a more whimsical look)) I haven’t developed a whole lot, but these are just some ideas I have

Painted n dry sets + just painted set, second coat drying

I only made the red raw meat set, the rest were made by my sister n just never got to the being inked stage lol

#personal tag #for the blue n gold set i tried SO MANY ones before admitting gold just looked best on it #i tried a dark silver and a light silver snd s bright light blue n none of them worked well #the dark silver looked nice but wasnt legible at all #so i settled on just. gold. and it does look nice. i doubt you could ever really go wrong with gold numbers #for the blue set thats drying i used a metallic blue paint #the first coat was. annoying. but i also did that at the crafternoon with friends #when i was taking some braintime after session 0 discussions that went way longer than i expected #so i prob also hsd frustrations from the overstimulated brain then #did a second coat here at home with my tunes n in my chair in my space with my everything n it went. much smoother #also bc i REALLY loaded the paint up on the first coat lmao #we do we learn we vibe #for the othet sets i have i wanna see if i can mix some paints to get my desired colors #there’s a real pretty smoky grey set with dark pink glitter flakes in it…v nice looking #thinking of doing that in a dark dusty pink #and there’s a sparkly green teal set with the slightest drops of dark blue here n there that I want to ink dark blue #but maybe a very bright dark blue could look fun too. hmmm
