The Berenstain Bears' Christmas Tree (1979)

У меня по понятным причинам нет ностальгии по медведям Берен��тейнам, хотя я вроде как читал пару кн��жечек (по большей части они мне известны из-за одного из эффектов Манделы). Но почему бы под Новый Год не посмотреть короткий - в двадцать минут - рождественский спешл? Семейство Беренштейнов, закончив с общими приготовлениями к празднику, понимают, что им осталось только одно дело - нарядить елку своими многочисленными игрушками и водрузить на ее верхушку монументальную сверкающую звезду. Поэтому папа медведь вместе с детьми, вооружившись топором, отправляется в лес. Но вот беда в каждой из елок живут свои лесные обитатели, которые крайне против того, чтобы их жилище срубали. Однако папа-медведь не мог отступиться и продолжал искать ель, несмотря на то, что уже становилось темно и снегопад был все сильнее. По дороге поняв, что смысл Рождества не в елке, герои вернулись домой, но там их ждал приятный сюрприз. Довольно милый и местами забавный мультик. Но рождественская рыба, которую притащил домой в начале папа-медведь, довольно страшненькая.

It's so insane to me that so many Christmas movies and specials have families hunting for a tree days or hours before the holiday. Or waiting until the last minute to decorate it.

As if the stores haven't been selling Christmas decor since mid-October.

Is this a common thing I'm unaware of? Growing up, we always put our tree up on Thanksgiving, or if we were getting a real tree, we'd go out the day after Thanksgiving to get. You can't leave it up long, why wait until the last minute?

All this last minute stuff gives me anxiety.
