I am, somehow, 13 followers away from 200! Thanks for joining me in my unhinged return to creativity. A lot of the things I used to do passionately sort of fizzled out as I started grad school ages ago. Save for video games. And while I engaged with fan content for things I loved (ME, DA, etc) - none of it ever pushed me to make content again.

Until Baldur's Gate. And I am so glad it did. In an otherwise atrocious year, returning to tumblr has helped me find a community - and myself again. I am truly, extraordinarily grateful to all of you for being a part of this journey with me.

got loadds of things done this week!!

downloaded new app called 'structured', rly helping me manage time

did debate, speech was too long so i lost some scoring on that but did fine

went shopping and got a whiteboard!!

did rlly well in chem test, (95), got better at math (78) and got 85 on a bio prac, so im happy

my ex got 96 on chem (at least thats what he says)

im struggling to move on from him, despite trying to talk to others it feels like i dont want anyone else but him

have started gaining momentum with all the stuff i aimed to do this month (bit late but oh well)

made a bet w someone to buy me lunch if i beat him on the next math test, so that should be fun

we're moving onto poetry in latin now, i cant even understand normal texts and now they want me to analyse poetry im sobbing

And with that, the Don't Imagine event is over! Thank you so much to everyone who sent in requests and also to the folks who interacted with them! I wasn't feeling up to writing today but there is still one request left that I'll be posting later, so look forward to that.

I think for now I'm going to focus on finishing up small projects that are either in progress or won't take very long. This includes Swarmed By Sirens and a few writing requests I have received recently. I'm also working on another mini fic for my Fae OC Cricket but I don't know when that'll be finished just yet. Also also, you can look forward to Chapter 8 of The Nightmare of Apathy in a couple of days too.

After that, who knows? My only plan is to wrap up some old projects so I can potentially start a new one... One that I've left on the backburner for a whole year...but I'm not going to tease it too much since I want to wrap up my siren fic first and that could take some time if I hit writer's block again.

auld lang syne

In January of last year I hadn't written a single thing for this, or any fandom. By April, I had started my very first fanfic (my magnum opus: murder husbands). 18 published fics of varying lengths later, I can scarcely believe I am the same wee dude who started this year.

Thank you to everyone who has read or commented on my fics—every single lovely word or kudos has meant the world to me.

Thank you to all the lovely moots, and fandom friends I have made— you have honestly made this year something truly special. I've made some lifelong friends, and it blows my mind. Its incredible. I love you all!

Thank you to the various people who follow this blog, but aren't moots: I see you, and my heart grows three sizes every time you like or reblog one of my posts.

I hope 2024 brings many more beautiful things, but know that 2023 has been the best year I've had in a long, long time—and it's thanks to all of you.
