Stars in the night sky
Temulun's words for Hylnyan alone. Something clicked in the conversation and gave perspective about being WoL as a job and not an entire life. It lifted a lot of weight off her shoulders.
Something that she imparted to Ryne.
It felt like she knew what Hylnyan been through with the people she lost and failures.
In hindsight it felt like encouragement left behind by Azem or Venat or even Mide by a long shot
that for all the people Hylnyan had lost there are those who are still here and still supporting her. (granted that took post EW and DRK 70s to sink in)
thereafter the Steppes is a special place for Hylnyan where potential messages by Azem/Venat or Mide might have been left for her
Her close friends know where to go find her if she ever felt lost. she likely be with the Mol, Dhothari or Qestir
Bonus points for it being something repeated by Vrtra (threads of tapestry version), Mouthy Tempest Shade (Shepard to the stars) and likely Lady of Light on ship ride (I can't remember if Minifilia mentioned it in ShB)
Temulun's version felt like the most gentle and comforting version of the same advice
8/20/24
When during the MSQ did your wol(oc) first cry? What was that moment like for them and those around them?

FFXIV Write 2024 Day 9: Lend an Ear
The night was filled with laughter and cheer, the foreigners and the Mol alike sharing stories around the campfire, Cirina sharing tales of her homeland, Hien telling stories of Doma, Gosetsu with a few of his own. Even Jess joined in the fun, though hers received no small amount of skepticism from some - she supposed tales of slaying gods and defeating empires were, perhaps, somewhat outlandish, to those who didn’t know the Warrior of Light.
It was only once the flames reduced to cinders and the gulo gulo steaks became sparse that the tribesmen slowly dispersed, the Scions and Domans alike taking their leave for the eve one-by-one, until but a few remained. Yet when Varrus and Jess went to turn in, they found themselves stopped.
“You,” Temulun murmured quietly, both dragoons pausing to study the elderly woman. “Lend an old woman an ear, would you?”
It wouldn’t be the first time - still, her ominous message from the afternoon prior rang in Jess’ head, though she hadn’t a clue what to make of it. The two did, of course, agree, settling down before her in the dimming light of the flames once more - for they weren’t rude enough to deny the elder of the tribe, no matter how tired Jess may have been, after spending nearly a week traveling from Namai to the Steppe.
“Good.” The Au Ra smiled just as soon as they settled in. “I would share with you tales whispered to me by the gods, tales of particular interest to you. Tales of the Traveler and his guiding star…”

Did I do one for Vrita's thread/tapestry version of this speech? There should be 3-5 characters who said this, 1 per expansion? The earliest I seen it mentioned was Stormblood. Could be in ARR and HW but memory foggy.
Temulun's Traveller's Light / stars / guide has the most gentle tone. Its resonates with Hylnyan as it be words that she understands as a hunter.
Vritra's Threads/ tapestry / ties that bind came across as a caution from someone who had kinda been through it.
I like that Devs are using threads/fabric for Vritra's version, especially since Thavnair is big on silk production. Kinda supect Varshahn may have dabble in silk weaving to get an idea of the stuff that goes on with his people.
Considering Ehll Tou, Vritra going into crafting wouldn't be a stretch, since he has some alchemy (Alphonse is that you?)
I need to check if Shadow wingman trolling replica and Lady of Light mention it.
Mdm...have you and some of my elders been keeping track of me?
"Do the lot of you have a linkshell network? No? Thank you Mdm. You reminded me of a conversation I had with a troubled friend."
No Mdm. I'm not crying mdm.
"May.. May I sit with you for a while? You remind me of someone from home.. Thank you mdm..."
------------------
I really like it whenever NPCs remind my WoL that's she's not alone. Especially after things like
- Archer quest with Leih Aliapoh regarding sense of belonging
- Bard quest with Jehantel telling his story - Tataru asking after WoL post-2.0, the blood pearl charm thing, somewhere in Dragonsong believing in WoL's strangth and praying for WoL's success. - Conversation with citizens in Firmament rebuilding - the Lvl50 Dark Knight quest - And now Temulun's conversation of Stars in the night sky.
Fitting that her Azem name is Helen no?
"Gracious light. Light that guides, light that burns. How bright the torch guards through the night". - Emet again
Darn onion cutting ninjas and rogues
*plays FFIX's You're not Alone.
Note - Did I do one for Vrita's thread/tapestry version of this speech, there should 3-5 characters who said this. Temulun (Traveller's Light / stars / guide) and Vritra (Threads/ tapestry / ties that bind) are two most distinctive layman version of the speech.
Temulun's version has the most gentle tone while Vritra's version was a caution. I need to check if Replica Hyth mention it
*plays FFIX's You're not Alone.
